North Korea Threatens "Merciless Strike" As US-South Korea Wargames Begin

Residents of Japanese coastal towns are holding evacuation drills as North Korea warned Sunday that the upcoming US-South Korea military exercises are "reckless behavior driving the situation into the uncontrollable phase of a nuclear war."

Nearly 130 people took part in the drill in Kotoura, which has a population of 18,000, a town official said. Reuters reports that for 10 minutes, people ducked down covering their heads with their arms. Many of those taking part said they were worried. North Korea has in the past threatened to attack Japan, a staunch U.S. ally and host to U.S. military bases.

As sirens blared from speakers in the town of Kotoura, children playing soccer outside ran to take shelter in a school, along with their parents and their team coach.

"I've been concerned every day that something might fall or a missile could fall in an unexpected place due to North Korea's missile capabilities," said the coach, Akira Hamakawa, 38.

As a reminder, Japan is the only country in the world to be attacked with nuclear weapons, and so perhaps the threats from North Korea today are a little closer to heart than for many around the world.

Following North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's statement last week that he would "watch a little more the foolish and stupid conduct of the Yankees," as US-South Korean military exercises begin, CNN reports that Pyongyang also declared that its army can target the United States anytime, and neither Guam, Hawaii nor the US mainland can "dodge the merciless strike."

The messages in Rodong Sinmun, the official government newspaper, come a day before the US starts the Ulchi Freedom Guardian military exercises with South Korea.

"The Trump group's declaration of the reckless nuclear war exercises against the DPRK ... is a reckless behavior driving the situation into the uncontrollable phase of a nuclear war," Rodong Sinmun said, using the acronym for Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the nation's official name.

It described North Korea as the "strongest possessor" of intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of striking the US mainland from anywhere.

"The Korean People's Army is keeping a high alert, fully ready to contain the enemies. It will take resolute steps the moment even a slight sign of the preventive war is spotted," it said.

China has urged both Washington and Pyongyang to tone down the rhetoric, warning via the government's mouthpiece Global Times...

"The drill will definitely provoke Pyongyang more, and Pyongyang is expected to make a more radical response," it said in an editorial.

"If South Korea really wants no war on the Korean Peninsula, it should try to stop this military exercise."

Kim's threats come after both US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Secretary of Defense James Mattis said last week that the US was keeping military options on the table in dealing with North Korea.

Interesting paradox that the more falling away from the faith we see around us everyday, the more Bible prophecy is coming true--yet fewer and fewer believe. The Bible mentions that God would send a delusion. It is slowly covering our nation like a dark cloud.
We are in a frenzy of tearing down monuments to slavery and erecting new monuments to slavery (liberalism). I would be in favor of erecting crosses instead as that is the only symbol of true eternal freedom.

Of course, in your brainwashed world, the Jews are to blame for every problem on the planet Earth. Your little mind thinks that the Jews, who make up about 2/10,000ths of one percent of the world's population,  are so powerful that they are responsible for all the problems in the world. It's not the Jews who are running down people in Barcelona, London, Paris. It's not the Jews who a raping women and girls in Germany and Sweden and Britain in the name of some weird religion. It's not the Jews who are CEO's of most American and international Banks. That's right buddy, most bank CEO's are NOT Jews. But you can blame the Jews and Israel for giving you more efficient electrical transmission, hardware and software for computers and cell phones, safer drugs for diseases, medical breakthroughs, cutting-edge medical diagnostic equipment used world wide, bio-tech, agricultural breakthroughs.... just to name a small percentage of what Jews have done for the world.

If NK strikes, THE perfect timing would be with an EMP during tomorrow's Solar Eclipse. It would be the ultimate Blackout, with a poetic and ironic twist, that would be remembered for the Ages. The rest of the world would go on, while the US and most of its vassal state Canada would be flung back to the 1800s.(THAT is how you use "just one nuke", you "Please nuke this city or that city" half-wits. With an EMP you destroy no city, and let the US destroy itself.) p.s. Skill-testing question with only ONE correct answer: What is the best option that the US would have to choose, in the above scenario?  Tick, tock.

Exactly. The issue we must face is whether we can survive. Can we find a way to eat and survive long enough to persist past the first month of decay. No electricity =no food for massive amounts of people. The water will stop pumping and the animals are unleashed. Those people remaining when someone comes to check in, will be a hearty sort, likely overwhelmed by the PTSD brought on by watching everyone you know capitulate to survive. Please let there be just enough sanity to break this rhetoric.Or for fucks sakes, send a younger more charismatic diplomat to talk to Kim about options. He politely welcomes a basketball player of yesteryear...surely we can do better than having Grey haired old boys lobbing threats across the pond. With their battleships and missiles readied. This is incomprehensible. Nobody responds accordingly under duress.CLeary these aged generals and their threats aren't making the guy feel at ease. He's got the hounds of the central banks clawing at his front door and he's supposed to ignore it, hoping they don't break through and maul him.

One bomb in the super volcano at Yellostone and the world will feel itWho knows if the dinasaurs will return and eat whatever is left of humanity for dessert? This BS between the USA and NK is beyond normal, but the USA has to prove it is tough and has to impose its rule everywhere because they know better and is right, even when inside the USA no one can agree to anything anymore. The USA has lost any credibility as a world power in my mind.

70 years after World War II, Jews and former citizens of the Soviet Union still remember the terror and atrocities carried out on them by the nazi regime. The Nuremberg trials imposed the death sentence to many of those nazi war criminals.

Why haven't there been war crimes tribunals been established to hold the soldiers accountable who carried out the massacres against the North Korean people between 1950-1953?

It is obligatory that the horror suffered by North Koreans, the murders and tortures inflicted upon them by American soldiers be acknowledged and compensated for like any other crimes against humanity.

There were anywhere between 3 to 4 million Koreans killed during the U.S. invasion between 1950-1953. Every town in North Korea was reduced to ashes, by saturation bombing, napalm and germ warfare. Korean prisoners were used as human guinea pigs to test new forms of germ weaponry, in complete violation of the Geneva conventions.

If there is a hell or heaven, I will probably meet all of you downstairs as I see few, if any, with the mindset and attitude to take us beyond all these threats and rumors of wars, many of which originate in the United States of Hypocrisy.

And most importantly Rex Tillerson is committed to Diversity in the State Department because that's who we are, or something. So we have that going for us.

I think our intelligence on NK's ACTUALL weapon cabability is high. We must KNOW that at this point, NK cannot launch a nuclear device and have any type of confidence it comes anywhere near its target, never mind operate.

There are three possibilities if we hold these exercises:

1. Kim wil not launch - either because he knows that his missile technology is not yet ready (or seriously flawed) and he does not want the world to see this. Or because he knows that the missile technology IS sound, and a launch would result in the complete and utter destruction of his entire country.

2. Kim tries to launch and we prove our anti-missile technology by shooting any launched missiles down.
Then we punish NK for the launch with a massive conventional weapons response. NK then launches whatever conventional weapons that we didn't take out.

2. Kim launches. There is a nuclear detonation over the US mainland. He also launches conventional missiles at SK and millions of SK's and thousands of Americans die on the peninsula. The US launches a nuclear strike at NK. We wait to see if China and Russia enter the fray. If they do - Goodnight.
