Mapping The World's Most Liveable Cities

If you want to move to one of the world's most liveable cities, pack your bags and book flights to Australia or Canada...

Infographic: The World's Most Liveable Cities | Statista

You will find more statistics at Statista

As Statista's Niall McCarthy notes, The Economist assessed 140 major cities worldwide on stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education, and infrastructure, declaring Melbourne the most liveable city in 2017 for the seventh year running. Australia's second most populous city scored 97.5 out of 100. Vienna, the Austrian capital, came second and three Canadian cities rounded off the top five - Vancouver, Toronto and Calgary.

As well as those three Canadian cities, a total of three in Australia made the top-10 list (Adelaide and Perth as well as top-placed Melbourne). Interestingly, U.S. cities are notably absent from the top of The Economist's list with Auckland, Helsinki and Hamburg all boasting high liveability scores.

The Syrian capital of Damascus was at the very bottom of the ranking with a score of 30.2, along with Lagos in Nigeria (36.0) and Tripoli in Libya (36.6).

Shit article.  Makes me depressive that s.o. possibly even earned money for compiling this crap.Few Germans would vote "Hamburg" as the most liveable city. It is Munich, since decades, by a wide margin. But maybe some fish heads (as these idiots from Hamburg are called in the rest of Germany) had their part to play in this invaluable research opera. For those who are fascists to the core but falsely believe they aren't, i.e. the ANTIFA, Berlin is the place to go. Free shit city in free shit country. And it has Arab no-go zones, too, to spice it up with "diversity".

Mercer more comprehensive...

Vienna occupies first place for overall quality of living for the 8th year running, with the rest of the top-ten list mostly filled by European cities: Zurich is in second place, with Munich (4), Dusseldorf (6), Frankfurt (7), Geneva (8), Copenhagen (9), and Basel, a newcomer to the list, in 10th place. The only non-European cities in the top ten are Auckland (3) and Vancouver (5). The highest ranking cities in Asia and Latin America are Singapore (25) and Montevideo (79), respectively.

New Zealand and Australia continue to rank highly in quality of living: Auckland (3), Sydney (10), Wellington (15), and Melbourne (16) all remain in the top 20. However, when ranked for infrastructure, only Sydney (8) makes the top ten, with Perth (32), Melbourne (34), and Brisbane (37) also ranking well for infrastructure in Oceania. By and large, cities in Oceania enjoy good quality of living, though criteria such as airport connectivity and traffic congestion are among the factors that see them ranked lower in terms of city infrastructure.

The list is obviously compiled by some stupid naive Yank, who has no clue about the world. The main idea seems: just list some popular tourist destinations and the "they-took-our-jobs" rednecks (who voted for Trump) will love it.A completely bogus list, full of Anglo Saxon cities, which are full with Millennial Snow Flakes. For example, Australia as a whole is a left wing country, part of the 5 Eyes system of global surveillance, and if I'm not mistaken some Aussie city even has a feminist café where men are served last.Another example: Vienna is indeed a beautiful city, but in the mean time severely run over by migrants.Have a look at this (highly sarcastic) video about a park near Donauinsel Vienna: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hB1nmz-EYJcIt's FULL of Turks, but of course most Americans don't speak any other language but English, so they won't be able to understand any of it anyway.

Stay away from Tokyo!!It is full of feral dindus. I saw 3 dindus today. Yes, that's 3 in one day, dear readers. I am totally outraged. One was in the company of a white woman, tho, so perhaps her porter or manservant. Still, the stench in the train car was unavoidable.I also saw one of those bipedal trashbag things pushing a stroller. A stroller!? Some irresponsible immigration offical let one in, and it wasn't spayed or neutered?!! The welfare parasite index just moved a minute closer to midnite. Midnite, I tell you! What's next? Ebola or Zika, I bet.And you don't want to get irradiated, dear reader, stay away!!

Agree, Munich takes the cake in germany for livable big city - German libtards still haven't had a chance to mess it up.

If you actually know these places, you will see these ranking pieces for what they are - paid advertisements. That goes for 'best towns to visit', 'best beaches', etc - paid shills, usually done by libtards. Ignore.

no amount of bullshit reports like this is going to justify the insane housing bubbles in these australian and canadian cities.

They're just trying to get more fools in to the pyramid scheme to keep it going a couple more years.Melbourne is a total shit hole, with aweful traffic, a ferris wheel and flammable empty buildings where Chinese are parking their money.Adelaide WTF! They don't even have electricity in summer... I kid you not.Perth is turning in to a ghost town.NFI about Canada, but this report is paid for to encourage migration to these soon to be bankrupt Aussie cities with literally fuck all to do.

I think that the safest place for me at this point might be Russia or North Korea.
