CNN Reporter: "These Country Music Supporters Were Likely Trump Supporters"

On the same day CBS fired one of its network executives, Hayley Geftman-Gold, after she took to social media to explain why she was "not even sympathetic" to victims of the Las Vegas shooting because "country music fans often are Republican," CNN had its own "zen moment" of victim-blaming and stereotyping of innocent concertgoers caught up in the horrific carnage at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival, when during a live broadcast Monday morning, CNN reporter Jeff Zeleny suggested that most of the victims were Trump supporters for the mere fact that they were attending a country music event.

While describing President Trump's morning press conference on the tragedy which resulted in more than 59 killed and 527 injured, Zeleny said, "Something else I think to keep in mind, a lot of these country music supporters were likely Trump supporters."

Watch 1:20 into the clip...

Standing in front of the White House, CNN's Senior White House Correspondent claimed (starting at 1:10): "Something else I think to keep in mind, a lot of these country music supporters were likely Trump supporters."

Zeleny had described Trump's words as "pitch perfect" and seemed to imply that the concert goers were part of Trump's political base - ironic given that the CNN reporter prefaced his comments by saying it wasn't appropriate to discuss politics so close in time to the tragedy. Zeleny said just before the brazen "Trump supporters" comment - without a hint of irony - that, "after today and tomorrow it will become a discussion of politics, of guns. It's not appropriate for that moment today." He also noted that Trump has a hotel in Las Vegas near the site of the massacre before saying of the president: “So, this is something I'm not surprised at all to see him go there visiting early.”

Though it's unclear exactly what Zeleny was trying to say precisely about Trump's speech - perhaps insinuating that Trump was really just playing politics while only appearing to be a unifier - what is clear is that the CNN correspondent likened listeners of country music or anyone merely attending a country music concert as automatic Trump supporters. Worse is that the comments came just hours after the deadliest shooting in American history where common people of all backgrounds had their lives cut short while they incidentally happened to be enjoying country music. Further ironic is that Zeleny said of Trump's words, "particularly for a speech like this you want to get every word right...".

CNN has a recent history of making such shockingly offensive and sweeping generalizations of average Americans soon after mass tragedies. Immediately after the racial violence and death at Charlottesville, for example, CNN ran a headline prominently on its homepage which said, White supremacists by default’: How ordinary people made Charlottesville possible and argued, "But the tragedy that took place in Charlottesville this month could not have occurred without the tacit acceptance of millions of ordinary, law-abiding Americans who helped create such a racially explosive climate, some activists, historians and victims of extremism say."

It's no wonder that so many Americans are increasingly choosing to turn off the major networks, especially CNN, which seems to insult them at every turn, even mere hours after the most tragic mass shooting in US history.

JEFF ZELENY: By saying he will go to Las Vegas on Wednesday, by visiting, it is something that puts him in line with what so many presidents before him have done and paid their respects. Of course,  Las Vegas is a town that he [Trump] is connected to and knows well. His name is emblazoned on the top of a hotel there as well. He campaigned there a lot. So, this is something I'm not surprised at all to see him go there visiting early. But, again, I think the moment here is what comes after this. This invariably after today and tomorrow, will become a discussion of politics, of guns. It's not appropriate for that moment today. You will hear it from some Democrats. What will the President do in that respect? Will he take a leadership role in that respect? We will watch that as the days unfold, but the President clearly, as John said, striking a pitch-perfect tone there.

Something else, I think, to keep in mind, a lot of these country music supporters were likely Trump supporters. This is hitting the tapestry of all Americans and there are going to be victims from across the country here. So this is something that is a national tragedy as the President said and the flags he ordered at half staff today in memory and thought of all of the victims in Las Vegas.

.Billion Dollar Vegas Company Tied to Terrorism Organization? Murren announced MGM company (and therefore) donations to extreme leftist groups, some backed by controversial radical Marxist George Soros. The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has been accused of “character assassination” by conservatives. SPLC lists many mainstream conservative groups as "Hate Groups." I'm sure millions of MGM customers support these groups. SPLC lists Americans who have questioned or criticized radical Islam as “hate groups.” I'm sure millions of MGM customers would be offended by this. SPLC is so extreme they listed Dr. Ben Carson under “Hate Groups.”Is this a group MGM’s Board or shareholders want to be tied to? It gets much worse. Jim Murren is donating MGM shareholder money to CAIR. They were named by the Justice Dept. as “an unindicted co-conspirator to Muslim terrorism.” The FBI produced charts showing CAIR was created to support the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas. CAIR advises Muslims not to cooperate with the FBI. Many CAIR officials and associates have been convicted on jihad terror charges.

i can't tell you about las vegas but russiagate and charlottesville were/are false flag classics.  in the spirit of reconciliation, i would say to democrats that, as churchill noted: "The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is."  the proof that russiagate and charlottesville are false flags has not only truth but the appearance of truth, imo.  why the part of the democrats that backed sanders would feel that the email thefts were a gift to trump alone is beyond me since they first proved that hillary clinton and the dnc corruptly screwed over bernie.  if russiagate, charlottesville and the half dozen wars are the arguments the democratic party hopes to use to beat trump, imo they will fail.  why not attack him on his merits as he has not apparently done what he says he would and an argument can be made that he is fomenting racial and various ethnic tensions?  those are at least true to arguableas opposed to demonstrably false like russiagate, etc.  his tax plan and his healthcare plan and his energy plan suck.  so attack them and offer better.  i guess the reason that we get russiagate instead of better arguments is the ones who care the most and have the readiest money (not to mention run the legacy media) are the neocons (or mossad/likud zionists as i like to term them).  it's what they want to do (greater israel first) that really matters.  beating trump and/or electing a progressive president and/or congress is a means at best.  it's never an end, to them.why it's so hard to conceive that hillary clinton could lose in the electoral college to donald trump, while winning three million more votes, kind of eludes me.  maybe the polling was corrupt; maybe just inaccurate what with all the cell phones and lying to inquisitive phone ringers.  but generally after a two term president who is not wildly popular, the other party wins, often closely contested.  that's just history.  imo the democrats should move on from the election to the actual trump administration.  it's not like he's doing so well he's bulletproof.the stuff on 9-11 is further indication of a pattern vis a vis neocons.…’s-left-russiagate-–-are-we-down-1000-paid-trolls……….……

the form in which the legacy media chooses to express its feelings against the supporters of trump are, it seems to me, both unlikely to help their business plan and more than likely to besmirch the last lonely years they have as a real part of the national discourse.  hard to tell which is the cart and which the horse in some regards.

Well among his core supporters, he is bulletproof, he proved it during the campaign, and he's proved it over the last 9 months. If they can't convince them of Russiagate or white supremacy gate or whatever else gate, they will not convince them. Trumps base is stronger then any base in the last 100 years. Mark my words, if he's around in 2020, Trump wins, again.

"Anyone who believes a 64yr-old pulled that stunt in Vegas is a child"Anyone who believes a 64 year old CAN'T pull off that stunt is not only a child but has been brainwashed to believe that being 64, one is over the hill. Couldn't be further from the truth. Many 64 year old men have the capacity to out perform "kids" half there age, especially those of the "millennial" persuasion.

I just love it when the media tars an entire group with words such as likely, probably, sources have told us, may be a link. It is far worse than one person or even a small group points a finger with hate or ridicule.Perhaps they make up a new phrase or word to imply a group or individual can automatically be assumed to think one way. Then the entire media adopts the word or phrase and it becomes a new method of denigrating and entire class of people. Now a whole class of music fans are less than human and to be treated with contempt. Lucky they weren't attending a concert of John Phillip Sousa music. They would have been smeared with blind patriotism for the support of  military adventurism.

We need to give that Jewish CBS lawyer her job back, apparently.  Damn, if she had just waiting for the rest of the MSM to build the wave behind her she would have been fine saying, basically, the same thing this asshole just did. Hey, just as an aside (not that anybody cares), but does it concern anybody that the left is totally OK with killing their political opponents?  Not just OK with it, but they actually PREFER this solution?

And they will act as though they are morally superior the whole time that they are calling for or celebrating the death of people who hold different opinions than themselves. They would even have the nerve to suggest that real marxism hasn't been tried (implying that they would do it better than Stalin/Mao).

That's the exact excuse every communist uses to justify giving it another go. We could have a hundred Stalins, and they'd still claim the next one will bring the utopia. Communists are just people that want to mail in mediocre, but have all the cool shit you get for excellence.
