Crackdown Comes To Wall Street: Morgan Stanley Fires Harold Ford Jr Over Alleged Sexual Misconduct

Ten years after leaving Congress, Harold Ford Jr could be the canary in the coal-mine for Wall Street as the global awakening to sexual abuse strikes a bulge-bracket bank.

Harold Ford Jr. “has been terminated for conduct inconsistent with our values and in violation of our policies,” Morgan Stanley spokeswoman Michele Davis said in a statement to Bloomberg News.

Huffington Post reports that the bank’s human resources department investigated claims he harassed a woman he met in a professional capacity.

In two interviews with HuffPost, the woman alleged that Ford engaged in harassment, intimidation, and forcibly grabbed her one evening in Manhattan, leading her to seek aid from a building security guard. The incident took place several years ago when Ford and the woman were supposed to be meeting for professional reasons. Ford continued to contact her after the encounter until she wrote an email asking him to cease contact.

The email, which was reviewed by HuffPost, shows that the woman emailed Ford after he repeatedly asked her to drinks. She asked him not to contact her anymore, citing his inappropriate conduct the evening where he forcibly grabbed and harassed her. Ford replied to the email by apologizing and agreeing not to contact her.

HuffPost is not identifying the woman at her request but has reviewed emails that confirm her interactions with Ford and spoke to two people whom the woman confided in about the incident. One woman heard from Ford’s accuser the night of the incident and described her as “distraught, shocked, and frightened,” and said that she was concerned about any career ramifications should she report the incident.

Perhaps Ford learend all this from his years in Washington where he served for 10 years?

Since leaving Congress in 2007, Ford has worked for two financial services companies, first for Merrill Lynch and then Morgan Stanley, which he joined in 2011 as a managing director.

And so it begins perhaps... with every MD now in full panic mode at what they may have or have not done over the last few decades.

Another Liberal take down. And yet the OG Pussy Grabber is still stumbling around the White House. The Resistance (TM). Will the last non-pervert/queer Liberal left in DC/NYC please turn out the lights.

Well, that is 2 down for the Mourning Joe TV show.  Harlod was a favorite was Mark Halperin. Can't wait to se how that scold Brezinski bitch mumbles over this.  It is so laughable to watch those 2 Brezinski's (Joe & Mika) lecture us on morality, after breaking up their 2 families so the could shack up together.  Just a pair of sold out NWO hypocrites.  Joe is such a horrible wannabe.

I often wondered where this creep Ford had gone off to. He was a favorite back in the day for all the cable news shows when in congress.I'm glad he got fired and wish he has to dig ditches for the rest of his life, but I am sure it is not the case. Being a token in those corrupt bankster corps must pay pretty good, plus whatever he stole while in congress.

Are they going to clean up the mom-dominated, low-wage office jobs in financial services, too, where mom-gang-endorsed absenteeism enables back-watching moms who take more time off than they work to, likewise, bully at will and spend half their time at work in silly, mom-bonding parties or posting family pics online? The harassment they dish out is not sexual, but it certainly is brutal for the non-mom-gang hires. Few are even hired. Did I mention that they discriminate, hiring / retaining an overwhelming number of fellow, childbearing-age moms, heedless of quotas on new business or account retention and even more heedless of daily, all-day attendance by the moms.

Why is it any better to sing mocking songs about colleagues who come to work every day, stay all day and meet the quotas? How about moms ganging up and literally chanting insults at women outside of their juvenile work cliques? How about mom managers hurling personal [and crude] insults that have nothing even remotely to do with the work in so-called meetings? Many moms are super-unprofessional at work and get away with it because they can work cheaply due to their spousal income, their rent-paying child support or their free groceries, free housing and child tax credits up to $6,318 and because they are [above criticism] due to womb productivity in the fake-feminist era.

Feminists are insisting on making workplaces a surveillance pitt. They are insisting that people have to watch even more of those cheesy sexual harassment training films in these six-week temp jobs, with managers coming in to start a group discussion about these topics. Most people, including most women, just laugh st all of this tiresome stuff.

No wonder America is in decline and is not generating more quality jobs. What a waste of time.

Something tells me it will come back to them and their overt and [bigly] harassment of others, just like it has with these girls who voluntarily go to wild, drunken frat parties and then claim there is a “rape culture” on college campuses. Do they think that no one noticed their behavior at those parties? A few women in workplaces behave in an above-reproach manner, not many. Not many....I wonder when the men are going to start noticing all of that........Many of these women direct most of their unprofessional venom at other women, so maybe, they’ll just keep it up.

"That's because Trump's comment was about what consenting adults let other consenting adults do, when they are rich and famous."

So the women he approaches, as he grabs their pussies, are rich, famous and consenting?

“When I heard the tape of the [Access Hollywood] bus where he’s describing [to Billy Bush] how he’s a star and how he can just pretty much do what he wants and they let him, and he can grab them by the p–sy, I was just like, wow. Wow! That explains it. That explains what happened to me,” Kristin Anderson

“I was at a club with my friends, and I’m talking to my friend who [is sitting] on my left side. I’m very clear on this,” she said. “This is the vivid part for me. So the person on my right, who unbeknownst to me at that time, was Donald Trump, put their hand up my skirt.”

“He did touch my vagina through my underwear. Absolutely,” Anderson confirmed. “And as I pushed the hand away, and I got up, and I turned around, and I see these eyebrows, very distinct eyebrows of Donald Trump. And I got up and I moved and I continued to talk with my friends.”

Anderson said she and her friends agreed that the real estate mogul was “gross,” and the group felt “very grossed out and weirded out.”

Nmewn, you goldmanite, Trump was a "progressive" (liberal), before he started lying about being a conservative. His actions include appointing goldmanites to rape and plunder what's left of America's middle class, cheating thousands in business, cheating on his three wives, expanding Middle East wars after campaigning against them, and browning his nose in Netanyahu's arse. Only a goldmanite would approve of such shit.

America used to be a place where people actually separated work and home life / private life to some extent, preserving a professional space. Not so in the fake-feminist era, when the American middle class is in decline as much as white life expectancy and workforce participation, although the incarceration rate is at sky-high, historically high rates. We have 25% of the world’s prisoners and 5% of its population.

Working moms are doing a GREAT job! Great! The family-friendly, feminist model of work is such a success!

Of course, moms actually raised their children back in the day when the middle class was strong, with all but the most serious career women and women without a spousal income exiting the workforce after having children, rather than letting their elderly parents, $9-per-hour babysitters with NannyCams or $10-per-hour daycare workers raise their kids. Now, every woman works. They are all career women, yet the news and workplaces, somehow, revolve around 1) their wombs and the welfare, tax-welfare and workplace absenteeism privileges they are entitled to for working part time to stay below the income limit for welfare or to supplement spousal income or 2) their bodies and the fact that men just cannot keep their hands off of them.

Career women.

Ya right.

Does anyone here recall the time Mika spoke about when she was a child and Kissinger would come over and invite her into the pool and they would snuggle up together. She seemed to be suggesting he was being sexual with her although she didn't come right out and say it. I think Mika knows more about sexual predation, probably firsthand, than she lets on.

I had a company lawyer tell me long ago, you can ask anyone, anything, once (assuming it is peers/coworkers/etc and not a boss/manager to subordinate). But as soon as they say no, you are then in rocky terrirotory that can get ugly quick. So, I asked him point blank that I could ask anyone if they wanted to go out for drinks and then to suck my *ick if that would be fine...he said yes, as long as it was once and when they refused you never mentioned it again. Physical groping is not harassment. That is assault.

How does a career politician move over to a fancy Managing Director position at Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley? Maybe he was fired because he's lousy at finance  (but they couldn't say this)  so they got him on the harrassment charge they have been sitting on for a while. We are being given few details and it's only one accusation.  It could even be a fake accusation.

Are we using the Moore standard in that 40 year old unfounded accusation by a long time democrat activist are taken as gospel as he should resign immediately due to the "seriousness" of the charge?Or are we using Franken standard in that despite recent photographic evidence, due process and great thought must be maintained.  And that he is an ICON.oh wait - that is the other powerful democrat serial sexual predator...
