Bipartisan Senate Group Says DACA Deal Reached

Update (12 pm ET): To our complete lack of surprise, a White House aide said the administration does not support the "McCain-Coons" compromise bill - which notably doesn't include funding for Trump's border wall...

* * *

Less than two days after GOP Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell used a shell bill from the House as pretext to kickstart an open-ended floor debate on an immigration reform plan, GOP Senators are telling Fox News and Bloomberg that a compromise that would preserve the so-called DACA protections has been reached.

The deal - which appears to have been generated by the bipartisan group led by GOP Sen. Susan Collins - will preserve DACA protections in exchange for a border security package.

"I believe our group has come together on an approach," GOP Sen. Susan Collins says, declining to address specifics.

However, it remains unclear if the deal, which appears to leave out funding for Trump's promised border wall, will be acceptable to both the House and to President Trump...

Collins

Minutes before the news broke, Paul Ryan told Fox's Chad Pergram that, while he hopes to find a solution on DACA, he "hope[s] that our Democratic colleagues are more interested in finding a solution than preserving an issue for campaigns..."

Ryan has said previously that he wouldn't call an immigration bill to the floor for a House vote unless it has Trump's explicit support...

Anchor-babies still ok Trump??

You campaigned on ending anchor-baby citizenship, but you never talk about it since being elected.

Anchor-baby citizenship is of the biggest, if not THE BIGGEST, magnets for illegals to go to the USA.

100’s of thousands of mexican and chinese illegitimate anchor-baby citizenships are awarded each year.

Are you now ok with anchor-babies trump??

"Bipartisan" is just another term for BOTH parties (who don't give a shit about the people they represent) agreeing on how they can mutually benefit themselves in a single action.  For some reason these Senate/Congressional ShitHeads feel that "Bipartisan" gives them Absolution of Blame regardless of how much of a mess they make.  They are all Liars and Thieves, Red or Blue has nothing to do with it whatsoever.

If the female version of John McCain {Susan Collins} is making the announcement, you know they are fucking us. I have been saying for almost a year now that Trump is their Trojan Horse. No repeal on Obamacare. Queers and now even trannies serving in our services and government. No peace with Russia, instead the belligerence has increased. Illegal immigrants still pour over our border. When are people ever going to wake the fuck up? Change will never come to this country via an election, it is too far gone for that, besides, they control the elections anyway. If you don't believe me, just ask Roy Moore.

Re: You campaigned on ending anchor-baby citizenship...

Why did you believe that?  Citizenship by birth is in the Constitution.  Ending this would require a Constitutional amendment which isn't going to happen - no way the blue states would ratify.  You should evaluate election promises more carefully.

" Citizenship by birth is in the Constitution."

No it is not. That is a lie perpetuated by the leftist commie-pinkos for 100 years. The Amendment says, "and subject to the jurisdiction thereof" which means children of illegals are citizens of the country of origin of their parents.

You should evaluate the Constitution more carefully commie-pinko.

You are so right; that is the biggest problem. It is how they get the welfare and child-tax-credit welfare, which, in addition to splitting expenses in multi-family housing, enables illegal aliens to work for rock-bottom pay, helping to destroy the job prospects of millions of underemployed citizens who must survive on earned-only income, with no pay-per-birth freebies from government.

If RepubliCONs pass this, I will never vote for them again. RepubliCONs doubled child-tax-credit welfare, hurting single, childless females who must live on earned-only income, like me. Welfare / child-tax-credit welfare for womb producers drives down wages / hours, facilitating gross discrimination in the many mom-absenteeism-gang jobs “voted best for moms.”

That was bad enough.

This mass amnesty will hurt the men who live on earned-only income, including a ton of underemployed Black, male citizens that DemoRATs claim to represent, while RepubliCONs represent the Chamber of Commerce and their wealthy donors who love a welfare-fueled illegal alien workforce.

I have seen a few Trump voters saying they plan to vote for Kamela Harris if they pass another mass amnesty. Why not Corey Booker? Maybe, they like Kamela’s more conservative stance on social issues.

If Trump voters cannot count on a Republican Sweep of both legislative bodies and the presidency to get anything but a slap in the face on the central issue of the 2016 campaign, we need to vote in a way that annoys them the most.

Those of us who would have been Bernie babes in earlier, more naive phases of life need to vote for him. Bernie would be anti offshoring, at least, but no more or less anti-illegal immigration than RepubliCONs.

Bring Back Hillary!!!! No one annoys them more than her. No, we want someone who will win.

For me the solution is self -deportation; as in I am considering deporting myself.

I am a legal immigrant who has been in the US since being a teenager, served in the armed forces, got a STEM degree and worked all my life.

However, this country is not the same country that I immigrated to.  The politicians are turning the place into a shithole.  I sure are hell would not have mored to fucking Mexico.

Build the fucking wall and start deporting illegals or people like me will be the ones leaving.

I know other individuals like myself and many say the same thing.

Fucking treasonous politicians on both sides if the isle.

I'M WITH YOU!  I was born here and am a full citizen.   I have paid income and other taxes since 1975 without ever missing a year.  I know there will be nothing left when it's time to retire - and I'm self-employed.

When my children where very young, I was spending 100 days / year living and working in the Dominican Republic.  Now, with twins in college and a third on his way soon, I think I'll be moving back - full time.

We are a superior country - turning into a shit-hole.  Other countries, like the D.R. are turning around and rapidly improving.  They leave you alone there and you can live on a reasonable income without getting fucked on every tax imaginable.

I'm paying >$15,000 in real estate taxes alone, on a 1,700 sq. foot cape on an 80' x 100' lot.  It's fucking insane - and everyone in every government job retires with full benefits after 20 years.

I love Trump - but they're going to fuck up everything he's doing - whether it's now or 7 years from now.  When the last American follows and leaves, please take the US flag with you.
