Donald Trump Jr. slammed the New York Times on Saturday following the publication of a now-deleted anti-Semitic cartoon depicting a blind President Trump in a Yamaka being guided by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a dog with a Star of David around his neck.
The cartoon was part of its Opinion section, appearing next to a column about immigration by Thomas Friedman.
"Disgusting. I have no words for flagrant anti-Semitism on display here," tweeted Trump Jr., adding "Imagine this was in something other than a leftist newspaper?"

Without actually apologizing, the Times issued an Editors' Note acknowledging that the "image was offensive, and it was an error of judgment to publish it."

Ambassador Dani Dayan, Consul General of Israel in New York, reached out to the Times to express his outrage regarding the cartoon. An Israeli official told the Jerusalem Post that Dayan in his conversations made it clear that the cartoon was unacceptable and that the fact it appeared on the paper is an escalation of the latest trend of displaying antisemitic tropes in the American public sphere. -JPost
Many on social media noted that liberal pundits such as CNN's Jake Tapper and Brian Stelter haven't said a word about the cartoon, as well as shock that the Times would even approve its publication.
Worth noting that @jaketapper & @brianstelter, who love talking about dog whistles, haven’t said a damn word about this graphic in the New York Times. Never take Jake or Brian seriously. pic.twitter.com/6w7LYJEjJI

In the NYTimes international: Bibi Netanyahu characterized as a dog leading a blind, Jewish Trump.

When did the @nytimes hire David Duke as an editor? pic.twitter.com/7bGf1jLrri
The cartoon doesn’t even have anything to do with the article below it. It’s as if the editors went, “interesting article, but we need more anti Semitism” pic.twitter.com/QAq7rrE8Am

That’s my question, like it got past SO MANY PEOPLE before it was published. Fucked yo

A Jewish Netanyahu dog leading a blind Jewish looking Trump around. From the @nytimes international edition. This is how far we have fallen. Despicable. https://t.co/S1iW1DrRAA
