$108 Billion In 2, 5, And 7 Year Treasury Issuance On Deck
Another week, another $100 billion in debt to be added to the US balance sheet. Yet the $108 billion on deck is $5 billion less than the prior round of like issuance: once again the US Treasury is pretending the deficit situation is under control. The trend of issuance reduction will soon reverse, and the hibernating bond vigilantes will get their first whiff of Spring. Here is the breakdown of the upcoming bond issuance:
- June 22, $40 Billion 2 Year Notes, $42 Billion issued last
- June 23, $38 Billion 5 Year Notes, $40 Billion issued last
- June 24, $30 Billion 7 Year Notes, $31 Billion issued last

Is it really $100B in new? Some of this expiring bonds rolling over. Maybe more like 1/3 new...1/2 new?
Still, it's big.
...and the hibernating bond vigilantes will get their first whiff of Spring.
Funny. I expect to see Sasquatch and ET on the mother ship playing pinocle in a few months too.
dude when's this going to end
When we want it to.
We as in not you and I, but the collective. When we wake up. When we realize what has happened. When we realize what is at stake.
When most of us are dead.
They should put an expiry date on the bonds. You know, give the illusion of a limited shelf life. Or add something Monsanto cooks up to make the bonds at least edible.
Bonds could feed the world. Buy bonds to feed the hungry. Maybe Elton John could make a song.
There, problem solved. Bonds foheva!
99.99% chance market tanks on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday next week as Fed manufactures demand for Treasuries.
Those EURUSD bullish warnings have
strengthened further today.
Vice versa for the USD index of course.
It seems the current EURUSD downleg has ended.
