In 53-42 Vote, Wisconsin Assembly Gives Final Passage To Bill Stripping Collective Bargaining Rights; Politicians Get Death Threats Over Imminent Austerity

Tyler Durden's picture

After yesterday the Wisconsin Senate passed the controversial Union Bargaining Bill, using a surprising loophole, resulting in a Union occupation of the Capitol building, the next formality before its enactment has just taken place: the Wisconsin Assembly has just given final passage to the bill, meaning just the signature of Governor Walker is all that is needed at this point, something which will surely happen in the next few hours. And after earlier the Obama administration expressed its disappointment that Wisconsin managed to find this legislative loophole, thereby making the farcical taxpayer funded self-exile of the state democrats all for naught, we are confident the president will be making the teleprompted rounds imminently.

From AP:

Wisconsin lawmakers have voted to strip nearly all collective bargaining rights from the state's public workers in one of the strongest blows to the power of unions in years.

The state's Assembly passed Republican Gov. Scott Walker's explosive proposal 53-42 Thursday. The state's Senate approved it the night before after using a procedural move to bypass its AWOL Democrats.

Walker says he'll sign the legislation as quickly as possible.

The vote brings a swift end to a standoff over union rights that has rocked Wisconsin and the nation. Tens of thousands of protesters have converged on the state's Capitol for weeks of demonstrations.

The implementation of Walker's proposal will be a key victory for Republicans who have targeted unions amid efforts to slash government spending.

In the meantime, as Karl Denningers highlights, social decay is propagating after Wisconsin politicians receive the following death threat:

Please put your things in order because you will be killed and your familes will also be killed due to your actions in the last 8 weeks. Please explain to them that this is because if we get rid of you and your families then it will save the rights of 300,000 people and also be able to close the deficit that you have created. I hope you have a good time in hell. Read below for more information on possible scenarios in which you will die.

WE want to make this perfectly clear. Because of your actions today and in the past couple of weeks I and the group of people that are working with me have decided that we've had enough. We feel that you and the people that support the dictator have to die. We have tried many other ways of dealing with your corruption but you have taken things too far and we will not stand for it any longer. So, this is how it's going to happen: I as well as many others know where you and your family live, it's a matter of public records. We have all planned to assult you by arriving at your house and putting a nice little bullet in your head. However, we decided that we wouldn't leave it there. We also have decided that this may not be enough to send the message to you since you are so "high" on Koch and have decided that you are now going to single handedly make this a dictatorship instead of a demorcratic process. So we have also built several bombs that we have placed in various locations around the areas in which we know that you frequent. This includes, your house, your car, the state capitol, and well I won't tell you all of them because that's just no fun. Since we know that you are not smart enough to figure out why this is happening to you we have decided to make it perfectly clear to you. If you and your goonies feel that it's necessary to strip the rights of 300,000 people and ruin their lives, making them unable to feed, clothe, and provide the necessities to their families and themselves then We Will "get rid of" (in which I mean kill) you. Please understand that this does not include the heroic Rep. Senator that risked everything to go aganist what you and your goonies wanted him to do. We feel that it's worth our lives to do this, because we would be saving the lives of 300,000 people. Please make your peace with God as soon as possible and say goodbye to your loved ones we will not wait any longer. YOU WILL DIE!!!!

Forget Saudi days of rage: you take away some entitlements right here in our own back yard and civil war may soon break out...

it's "public" unions and "illegal" immigrants you fuckstick.  stop trying to misrepresent the argument by rephrasing the terms.

Ok. Thanks for the clarification.

So you hate the teachers and police officers and fire fighters, but not the auto workers.

Got it.  Sorry I misrepresented your bias.

Also, most of the libertarians that I have the unfortunate experience of talking to don't distinguish between legal or illegal immigrants; they hate all immigrants (especially Mexicans), and blame them for the loss of American jobs, rising health care costs and living off the government.  Not too long after that conversation gets started, Jews and minorities will be roped into the discussion.  Then, typically by the end of the conversation, it is very clear that libertarians hate everyone but those like themselves.

It is no surprise to me that Rand Paul represents Kentucky and Ron represents Texas - seems like perfectly fitting hubs to start the libertarian movement.

And I have no doubt that you hate left wingers - that's actually another group I forgot to add to the list.

In Rebuttal:

                      by John "Birdman" Bryant

I HATE BOTH LIBERALS AND CONSERVATIVES, and for one very simple reason:  Both of them want to restrict personal freedom by criminalizing various types of behavior which, for all intents and purposes, harm no one except (possibly) those who engage in them.

IN PARTICULAR, liberals want to take away my guns, my property rights, my home school, my cigarettes, my fast foods, my unapproved cancer cure, my Confederate flag, my white-pride sticker, my eagle feathers, my moment of silence, my gas-guzzler, and my big flush toilet.

FURTHERMORE, they want to keep me from talking about (or making jokes about) certain racial or ethnic subjects, force me to race-mix, force me to treat people as equals whether I think they are or not, force me to mix with people who have weird diseases (and keep me from knowing who they are), keep me from getting a job or promotion so that somebody with a different hue or sex behavior can get it, appropriate my tax money for their charities and social engineering schemes, and force me to send my kids to schools I wouldn't send a dog to in order to be indoctrinated in beliefs which are totally opposed to my own.

LIKEWISE, conservatives want to take away my dope, my rock'n'roll, my dirty pictures, my birth-control devices, my abortion doctor, my morning-after pills, my union card, my Harry Potter and evil-lution books, my flag-burning kit, my Third-World friends, my illegitimate kids, and my polygamous wives.

FURTHERMORE, they wish to keep me from engaging in certain forms of intimate behavior in the privacy of my own bedroom, force me to put my life at risk -- and use my taxes for -- various acts of military adventurism and political power-seeking that I do not agree with, and require me to make reverent noises toward various brands of religion that I may or may not happen to believe in.

AND WHAT IS MORE, both liberals AND conservatives want to tax away my bank account, snoop away my privacy, burn my anti-government literature, and terminate my unfiltered Internet connection.

THE BOTTOM LINE IS THIS: The division between liberals and conservatives is just a trap. It's a trap because when we get mad at one of them for taking away one kind of freedom, then we elect the other, who then proceeds to take away another kind of freedom. It is time we recognize that there is no real difference between liberals and conservatives in the way they behave -- they both want to do away with individual freedom so they can rule as they please.

IN CONTRAST to liberals and conservatives, there is one group which supports freedom wholeheartedly -- the libertarians. Isn't it about time we started supporting them?
 ------------------------------------------------------------------------
As a libertarian writer, my books will undoubtedly offend both the left and right. The following is a list of the smear terms which are certain to be applied to me, and why. While most of the opinions expressed below are either conventionally libertarian or are shared by most libertarians, a few are not, and one or two would probably spark libertarians' violent disagreement. But in any event they demonstrate why both Left and Right are Wrong.

The left will call me a racist because I believe that people should have the right to live, work, go to school and otherwise associate with whoever they want to, including those who are exclusively of their own race. The left will also call me racist because I believe that the various races are almost certainly different, and that researchers should be able to investigate these differences and publish their findings without being shouted down or called nasty names. On the other hand, the right will call me a race-traitor because "racial purity" is about as important to me as what I had for breakfast, and because, while I regard blacks (as a race -- not as individuals) as probably inferior to whites in intelligence, I regard Jews and Asians as probably superior.

The left will call me sexist because I believe that the sexes are genetically and non-trivially different in intellectual and emotional functions, motivation, aggression, and physical capacities. On the other hand, the right will call me equalitarian because I believe that women should have the opportunity to be everything they can be, without arbitrary discrimination in either law or custom against their efforts to assume non- traditional roles.

The left will call me elitist because I believe that competence should be rewarded and incompetence discouraged, and that the State has no business in "helping" its citizens -- whether the poor, the handicapped, or any other group -- except in a few very basic and limited ways such as providing the means for elementary education and keeping the streets free from violent crime. Furthermore, the left will call me heartless because I oppose the feeding of millions of starving because this will turn them into billions of starving later. On the other hand, the right will call me redistributionist because I believe that the accumulation of wealth and power, particularly over several generations, will tend toward creating economic and social stratification, where members of the lower classes will find it impossible to rise irrespective of their talents; and I believe that ways must be found to make sure that the cream will always rise to the top.

The left will call me anti-semitic because I believe revisionist
historians have made a very strong case for the proposition that Nazi Germany did not use "gas chambers" to kill Jews, and in fact had no policy of "extermination", tho this of course does not change the fact -- in which the revisionists are in full accord -- that the Nazis treated the Jews with great brutality. The left will also call me anti-semitic because I call Israel leftist and racist, and because I have taken note of the fact that Jews have been the prime movers in communism, especially in Russia and America. On the other hand, the right will say I am a Jewish ass-kisser because I believe that the Nazis, in attempting to remove the Jews from their soil, were probably acting against the only group which could lay reasonable claim to being what the Nazis claimed to be, namely, the Master Race. The right will also say that I am a Jewish ass-kisser because I maintain that, no matter how racist or socialist Israel may be, it is still several cuts above the indigenous Arab culture and thus deserves to replace it.

The left will say that I am a Nazi because I believe that America should be for Americans, and not for every bit of Third-World protoplasm that washes up on our shores or sneaks across our borders. On the other hand, the right will say that I am a race-mixer because I am in favor of admitting to citizenship those of any race having special skills or other qualifications which would make such persons an asset to American society.

The left will say that I am homophobic because I believe that
communicable AIDS-associated diseases should be treated as dangerous, and that, at the very least, healthy people should not be forced to come into contact with carriers, as seems to be the intent of gay activists who are promoting "anti-discrimination" laws. On the other hand, the right will say that I am a pervert because I think that a person's sexual preferences and behavior, including what sort of partners he has, what sort of pictures or literature he enjoys, and what type of bodily orifices he derives sexual satisfaction from, are not a matter of public concern.

The left will say that I am a religious nut because I believe that
Christianity is an important source of social wisdom, as is explained in my book The Most Powerful Idea Ever Discovered. On the other hand, the right will say that I am immoral because my ethics is not based on the irrational mythology of some religion, and because I say that anyone who looks at the world's evil and still believes in its Creator's goodness is nothing but a benighted Devil-worshipper.

The left will say that I am uncaring because I oppose the government's expropriation of the property of productive citizens for such "good" causes as the support of welfare parasites, losers, Alzheimeric old fogies, and other human garbage. On the other hand, the right will say that I am a pinko because I think Marx was probably right that capitalism will naturally evolve into monopoly unless there is government intervention, and that the end result of the evolution of a capitalist economy may just possibly be (tho will not necessarily be) what Marx predicted, namely, socialism.

The left will say that I am a war-monger because I believe that the best way to prevent war is to be militarily strong. On the other hand, the right will say that I am unpatriotic because I do not like to see American taxpayers' money used to support crummy Third-World tinhorn dictators and corrupt billionaire oil sheiks just because they declare themselves to be America's "friends" and "allies". The right will in particular call me unpatriotic because I think that most of the wars America has fought were immoral, including Vietnam, Panama, Iraq, and most likely World War I and II; and in general that America has no business involving itself in the affairs of other countries unless its own existence is threatened.

The left will say that I am cruel because I believe in public whippings for violent crimes and executions for repeat offenders. On the other hand, the right will say that I am softheaded because I don't believe that it is the proper role of government to tell people what substances they may put into their bodies, irrespective of whether such substances are harmful to the health but socially acceptable (like alcohol, tobacco and valium) or are relatively harmless but are condemned as "drugs" (like marijuana or LSD).

The left will say that I am greedy because I believe that every man has the right to profit by the sweat of his brow, the force of his intelligence, and the risk of his capital. On the other hand, the right will say that I am mushy because I believe that a person who is totally self-centered and without empathy for others is socially pathological.

The left will say that I am anti-labor because I think that capitalists have as much right to profit from the risk of investing their capital as the workers have to profit from the efforts of investing their labor, and in particular that unions and businesses are just two different economic interests which should be allowed to slug it out in a free-market environment without the intervention of government. On the other hand, the right will say that I am anti-capitalist because I recognize the danger in any concentration of power, such as is found in big businesses, which can skew social processes against the interests of the many.

The left will say that I am a capitalist tool because I condemn the government's taking of private property without adequate compensation, including any partial taking such as the imposition of burdensome regulations on the use of property. On the other hand, the right will say that I am an eco-freak because I believe that ways must be found to preserve the natural environment, and while many of these may be able to be accomplished thru the free market, not all of them can be. The right will particularly condemn me for my opposition to nuclear power, whose ability to cause irreversible and irremediable accidents makes it too dangerous for human consumption.

The left will say that I am heartless because I don't object to wearing fur coats or eating beef (or eating dogs and cats, for that matter). On the other hand, the right will call me a foolish sentimentalist because I wish to stop animal cruelty, particularly of the systematic kind which is often found in food processing plants and animal research laboratories. But the right will also call me a baby-killer because I do not object to the discretionary removal of jelly-blobs from a woman's uterus.

The left will say that I am a fascist because I believe each person has the right and responsibility to defend himself against assault, with deadly force if necessary. On the other hand, the right will say that I am soft on crime because I believe that someone accused of breaking the law has rights which the police and courts must respect, and in particular that Constitutional guarantees must not be disregarded just because the President is yelling about some contrived War on Something or another.

And both the left and the right will call me an SOB, because they don't like to hear the truth.

It seems to me that Woody Guthrie wrote a song something like your comparisons.

If you work for wages you support the rich capitalists

If you don't work you're a lumpon to them

If you gamble of course you're a gambler

And if you don't gamble you never do win.

If you work hard they'll say you are lowly

If you're a loafer of course you're no good

If you stay sober they'll call you a sissy

And if you drink liquor it goes to your head

If you eat your meat fried they'll tell you to boil it

Then if you boil it they'll say it should broil

If you don't eat meat and eat only green things

They'll ask ya what's wrong with the brain in your skull

If you're feeding at the government table in any way, you are hated by people not feeding at the government table, who are forced pretty much at gunpoint to keep that government table full of food when they have a difficult time keeping food on their own table.

Is that simple enough for you?

NOBODY in government earns what they get paid, EVERYBODY in government is overpaid, because they produce NOTHING of value to the American economy and the American people.

Every time your fingers hit the keyboard you show us all how little you know about libertarians.  Keep going, you're making a complete ass of yourself.  It is also interesting how the rise of libertarian thought has flushed the neofascists and proto-neocommunists out of the closet and into the blogs.  As libertarian ideas become more and more mainstream, I see more critics like you who know nothing about us or who perhaps just hate the impending collapse of the modern state.  Are you smarter than everyone around you and know better what should be done and how people should live?  You really don't, you just think you do.  Do you wish managed economies worked?  They don't.  Do you wish to be able to mould society in your own image?  It doesn't work.  Are you still trapped in the left-right paradigm?  We feel sorry for you, and are also frustrated by you, because you are part of the problem.  The right and the left both want us to shut up and send our money and our children because we can't be trusted with either, you all both know better than we do and you're willing to use force to prove it.

That's what we hate.

Edit:  I've got some more news for you.  We know you want to use this crisis to reinforce the social, economic and political controls that both parties have put into place over the past century.  We've become politically active because we know that's what you want, and we're not going to let you get it.

Yep and PAY OFF THE BANKSTERS?

Cut...so we can pay off fraudulent debt? Wow what an idiotic position.  (and not too bright since it won't change the path we're on in any significant way)

No libertarians want to do that.  Only FASCISTS.  What side are you on? Because THIS IS THE LINE.  Hi FASCIST UNAMERICAN TRAITOR, your idiocy will lose, or America will go down. That will be someday be known as a fact.

True libertarians (and there are many) realize that cutting to pay off fraudulent debt, is still being a slave.  HELLO!

HELLO SLAVE!!!!

People with their head so far up their ass, they have no clue that the 'welfare state' is complete bullshit.  A reaction to THEIR policies, that they want to then cut.  Talk about reading too much propaganda....welfare state...welfare state...HAD 0 to do with this crisis.  It was merely to keep in FRONT of the destruction, as well as provide a reasonable safety net.  *hardly nanny*.  But then again, when people are fucking idiots, they'll believe any bullshit sophistry because it sounds like ****BURN!!!*****

Do you get it? (obviously not you fascist traitor)

Glass-Steagall, and you can keep the butter.  (or this idiot thinks the world is a conservative think tank test tube....with ebola...that's now broken out in the real world)

Guns? Well there you are right...and as I told my friend in 2000, watch out, Bush will send you to Iraq. He did, and got hit by an IED. (survived)

Gov. Fascist Walker is about to sign his fascist farce of a bill, in order to enact cuts, in order to pay the banksters, who created the situation.  WHAT A DUMBFUCK! (as well as anyone stupid enough to agree with him).  If you agree with GOV Walker YOU CANNOT BE A PATRIOT.  You are a traitor.  THERE IS NO LEEWAY.  Gov. Walker has the idiots supporting him bending over to the banksters...and some of them HATE the banksters....they aren't too bright..OBVIOUSLY.

Paying off Bankstas by taking away from the common man?  Now that's what I call liberty! (anyone that is for this is a FOOL to think of themselves as ....libertarian)...actually self-delusional to a destructive point.

Once again dipshits FASCISTS *sadly 99 percent don't know they're fascist* are the ONLY ONES who think fascist Hosni Mubarak Walker is right.  Accept it.  If you are going to be for Fascism, DECLARE IT. Fucking fascist pussies.  YOU ARE FASCIST.  SAY IT.

GLASS-FUCKING-STEAGALL and eat that shit.  So this guy obviously bends over for the bankstas...are you going to follow this lemming-head over anal falls?  Libertarian my ass...or is that red and raw savaged thing yours?

Realistically, this is small compared to what will happen given our British Imperial Monetary system is in its death throes, but oh so pointed a message is being sent.  Bend over to pay off the bankstas, at any cost.  Whoever supports this, is in league with the banksters. YOU CANNOT BE FOR THIS AND AGAINST BANKSTERS.  (whether they're too stupid to know it or what)

Sometimes, small things, get big responses.  Shame on the guy with threats.  People know the score, and crazy people, put in the ringer by the bankstas and their fascist accompolcies with idiot ideologies, will make some snap.

Others, like the fascists following Gov. Fascist Hosni Mubarak Walker, are no better.  They just let the 'markets' do the killing for them.

Glass-Steagall or you don't want to see the needless self-inflicted consequences. But that said, we sure are heading for them.

3 dopes junked you! The smashing of what is left of the middle class to ensure Bankstas receive "theirs" is anti-patriotic. The repercussions of this are going to be catastrophic and will come back to haunt the elite eventually, hopefully soon.

Let's face it, mom and dad who have a family have to put in more and more hours just to survive. Now, some teachers are going to have to pick up second jobs to maintain a less desirable status-quo. Meanwhile, junior will become less educated, more pissed, and more of a problem to society costing us more in court and jails taxes. I love it that the vicious cycle can not be averted!

You are one of the few here who gets it.  This isn't a left-right issue.  This is about fascism.  We are all slaves.  1,400 billionaire fascists and their minion political class vs. 7 billion slaves.  While it’s funny watching self-deluded slaves argue with one another, its sad when the slaves support the fascists.  Sure, break the unions, cut their wages, and fire them for all I care.  In the end, the billionaires will still take all the money.  Wake up slaves! Fighting among yourselves won't buy your freedom.  Understand who the real enemy is.

"If Congress can employ money indefinitely to the general welfare, and are the sole and supreme judges of the general welfare, they may take the care of religion into their own hands; they may appoint teachers in every State, county and parish and pay them out of their public treasury; they may take into their own hands the education of children, establishing in like manner schools throughout the Union; they may assume the provision of the poor; they may undertake the regulation of all roads other than post-roads; in short, every thing, from the highest object of state legislation down to the most minute object of police, would be thrown under the power of Congress... Were the power of Congress to be established in the latitude contended for, it would subvert the very foundations, and transmute the very nature of the limited Government established by the people of America." - James Madison

BA: Sign or leave. If you sign you can eat poorly for another year. If you don't, another, will fill your sweat soaked void.

RLM: This is not fair and will result in bad grades and a dumbing down of America just when we need these young men and women to use their minds to best advantage so we can re -establish The US as a Major power. Is my education and abliities worth nothing any more?

Right.  The minimum wage is also an evil that has ruined the American economy.  Republicans are gutting the highly-paid pro-Democrat types, and naturally the low-paid pro-Democrats are up next.   If you've been paying attention to Karl Rove he laid out the game plan years ago (i.e. take money away from people who contribute to your opponent).

It wasn't an accident that unpayable debt was pushed out into society.  Surely banksters know something about risk assessment.

The clear sign of the biggest robbery the world had ever seen was when Bear Stearns was sold one Sunday night for $250,000, a deal that later went higher.

The only thing not planned is the timetable.

What amazes me is that banksters can still travel in relative safety on the public streets.

Seriously, someone should put together a website that names names. I'm not kidding: everything is available online, so it shouldn't take more than a couple of weeks to create a site with Wikileaks-style indexing for quick refernce.

Why is this crucial? Because right now, the Banksters are a faceless, nameless bunch; but put on a face on then, and maybe then, Americans will show outrage proportional to what has been done to them.

Sudden Debt, they unionized.  People organized in their workplaces and went on strike.   That is how it was done.  They stood outside their workplaces in picket lines and braved the police and armed security forces.  They were beaten and arrested, their wives and children went hungry.  Some battles were lost and scabs were brought in to take the places of strikers, but they stood firm and triumphed.  That is the only way any concessions have ever been wrested from the grasp of the rich. Before workers banded together to improve their lot men and their wives and children worked 12-16 hours a day, 6 days a week and in return they were paid enough to starve slowly rather than all at once.

We all have the choice, in a free market place, to look for the union label or not. We do not have the choice when looking to our government servants for the services and protections sworn by them to us. It is a conflict of interest, it is a monopoly, it is extortion. Having said that, my background is union, my familys' background is union, and the lovely Mrs. Peabody works for the state, yet agrees with me on this.

Test tube thinking in the real world NEVER works.

People don't have such a choice thats been promised.  People believe in the propoganda that YOUR choice in the market place can change things.  It doesn't. (only after a POOL of people make a choice...hello UNION!)

As for what the gov't usually engages in statewise.  It is a natural MONOPOLY.  If the gov't didn't engage fairly in a NATURAL monopoly...YOU GET ENRON...and...ROLLING CALIFORNIA BLACKOUTS (pure lies)...which killed people.  Not to mention price gouging.  ONLY GOV'T IS CAPABLE OF FAIRLY CONTROLLING NATURAL MONOPOLIES.  (I'd like to see any dumbass have 10 power companies each with a line in their back yard)...also dig up their lawn for 10 more water lines, and 20 more sewer companies.  What a fucking waste.

Unless that choice is to get 100 million people behind you, (and it's gotta be pretty fucking BIG..which means any travesty that doesn't involve the most ghastly of occurences [and sometimes even still] will you get such a movement that will impact ANYTHING)...and unless it's obviously more than the SUM TOTAL of what the bankstas have done to us, if you try to take that stand, YOU'LL LOSE. So if the bankstas have been able to do all of this, and nothing has POPPED, then what happens to solve all the smaller (but needful) problems?  NOTHING.  NOTHING. NOTHING.

TALK ABOUT A FUCKING FARCE.

People are fucking idiots.

Walker did it using a ginned-up budget crisis...made "worse" after he gave away 140M in tax breaks the first few weeks in office.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/cifamerica/2011/mar/10/wisconsin...

>>>The budget bill also plans to tear down the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). This is not New Jersey, where a succession of corrupt governments have underfunded (read: stolen) the state pension system in order to shift resources to pay for budget shortfalls in general revenues caused by tax breaks for the rich. The WRS is one of the nation's most stable, well-funded and best-managed pension systems. Although Wisconsin is not a big state, the WRS has amassed $75bn in reserves, and pays out handsome pensions to its public retirees, without needing new public subsidy. The Walker bill has language providing for tearing down this system, raiding its assets to pay for further tax cuts for the rich (especially property owners), and then throwing Wall Street a meaty bone as public employees would be shifted to 401k plans handled by money managers on commission.<<<

With respect to all the health insurance austerity, why don't these "liberal" government employee types reexamine the whole Obamacare fiasco perpetrated by both parties.  Why is health care SO expensive.  If you are willing to storm the state house because of 12% health insurance hikes on your paycheck, why not firebomb your representative that passed legislation that mandates that you pay for-profit insurance to buy usurious priced pharma?

Reefer, not sure why you got junked, I thought you hit on a pretty funny perspective.  Truly Epic.

The irony over this illerate death threat letter, is this : the person writing the letter is clearly a product of the underwhelming school system there in WI, and the rest of the US for that matter.  And is kind of demonstrating the scary truth of our public school system.  He is writing barely over a 3rd grade level, and he is probably in his 40's.  Yet, he is fighting to protect the status quo of our public sector?

Now, before I get junked, I am not for this union busting.  It is audacious at best to think these unions and their teet suckers are bringing this economy down.  That is a joke.  It would be like blaming your Starbucks habit for your bankruptcy and foreclosure.  I just wish this anger would be focused on Wall Street.  How about John Mack of Morgan Stanley?  Blankfein?  Better yet, Greenspan, or The Bernank?  AIG and Countrywide have a few fellows that need to be introduced to my Gallows Pole.  This is where the anger needs to be focused.

So, if we can manipulate these anti-thinkers into doing our dirty work, by going after Wall Street....then we might be able to get out of this mess we are currently in.   And that is done by taking our meager, and our weak minded and letting them get all worked up and lashing out at our true enemies.  This manual can be found in the bunkers of Egypt, Al Qaeda, Catholic Church, NeoCon School of War, the Hannity library, Soros Foundation of Mind Control and Manipulatoin, any Mosque, etc, Bush College of Fool me once, shame on...etc

But this would also mean no Nascar on Sundays.  That would mean some real austerity measures.

You must work for JP Morgan.

Sorry, I was typing at about 70 words a minute with no spell check.  That is what the fear of typing 200 page term papers in college will get you.  Pre-Computers.   I should have slowed down for you genius.

In the rush to pass this piece of crap legislation, the Reps likely violated one or more state statutes re: public meeting notice

This is heading to court.

And the recall efforts and now funded somewhere between 2-3M depending on who you read.

There have been no liberals in the US since the FF died.

Conservatives wear a Blue power tie when they rape you.

Liberals wear a Red power tie when they rape you.

The Federal Reserve wears a skin suit made from babies when they rape you.

Have we got that all cleared up?

Perfectly well articulated. The Federal Reserve Corporation is the root cause of all our problems.

In other news, Charlie Sheen has a good chance to win his law suite.

On Charlie Sheen's new cooking show; Winning Recipes, Charlie shows you how to cook using all of the power of a warlock.

I wish I could give you a kiss right now Velobabe. I've broken down a lot of my own mind barriers in the past 20 years like Sheen just did. I can really relate. Here's a letter I'm trying to send him.

Charlie Sheen,

I have the ultimate next script for you. With this sketch you will destroy the lie, the occult mind control scam, the demon seed known as AA.
Schedule a shoot. Announce the broadcast date you will have your very first drink since your ascension from the abyss known as Warner Bros and AA live on air.
Get a bottle of Château Lafite Rothschild 1965 $1500, the year of your birth, or a finer variety, the finer and more expensive the better.
Do a buildup to your first sip on camera. Take the first sip and ask the audience the question, How do you feel about that, are many of you aghast? Your reaction is proof you have been brainwashed by AA mainsstream media mind control.
You may or may not finish the bottle of wine yourself, and tell the audience you are not scheduled to drink again for 7 days or more. Your superior Adonis Will has cured you of the disease they labeled you with that they say you have for the rest of your life. The made up lie, the control freakism with the label "alcoholic".
I came to the same conclusion you did 2 years ago and I like drinking from time to time and will continue to do so for the rest of my life no matter what labels they paste on me.

Winning,
Michael

Madison was a trial run.  When the austerity arrives in Washington DC.... well, methinks the angry mob will be a bit more diverse and one helluva lot less forgiving.  To the Eckles Building!

I'm a sconnie, and glad to see this behind us.  I've also read most of the 1,300+ page budget bill.  Walker's economic assumptions are wildly optimistic (4.9% income growth?  3+% GDP growth?  1.9% inflation?  HA ha ha ha  ha ha).  We'll be back doing the second budget repair bill a year from now.  Expect a repeat peformance.

Your vote will not count unless 90% of the population is required to vote. Most of the dummies to not understand this.

It is why they can play one side against the other. If all eligible Americans who drive had to vote, America would change.

Until then, it's tit vs. tat.  Which means, both sides are losers.

Liberals and conservatives are defined by their respective desires for the size and scope of government.  Literally, we have nothing but liberals in any material political position, i.e. people who want to expand the size and/or scope of the government.  Whether they're donkeys or elephants is completely irrelevant...  they're all liberals.

Living wage is bulllshit. Nevermind the poor people who now can't afford a gallon of milk because of living fucking wages, and the taxes they pay to support those living fucking wages.

If just raising wages was the solution, then we should raise the min. wage to $100/hr. That will fix everything right?

One can argue the pros and cons of public vs. private sector provisioning of services and the tax costs all day long, but I'd prefer if people became enraged over the hidden tax of inflation that has been eroding the value of your already taxed dollars. I'd like to see people storm the federal reserve with the same gusto.

History lesson:

Walker was not the first to outlaw the incestuous relationship between public unions and elected officials. It happened in Indiana and other states before. The 14 "fleebagger" Dem Senators created a "made for MSM" soap opera out of this. Federal public union employees don't have the right to strike, why should state employees?

ideology is parodied in "Animal Farm"; as four legs good, two legs bad, etc. Every case must be decided on its merits; there is no real world in which Union=good; or Union=bad.  The case of the public employee is distinct, and understandable. When the union rep. sits down to deal with the employers rep. no true dialogue takes place. The employers rep. has no skin in the game; this cannot be and never is a real negotiation. A real business owner has profit and loss sheets and market information to bring to this bargaining table; the state's representative is spending someone else's money. "Sure we can spend another $42 million on your new improved health care plan, nah; you don't need to contribute anything. The case of the public employee is SPECIAL, AND DIFFERENT. They must not have a union.
