CD - There is a heck of a lot more to AIG's issues than their swaps. A whole world of issues more than just their swaps.
The AIG monster is just the spawn of a much bigger monster. A monster that must be corralled or the world will know beyond doubt that those that spawned the monster no longer have the power.
aahh, but the stock stays up in it's lofty new found $45 price range -- granted that's only $2.25 by pre-split standards, but that must mean that all is going just fine, right?
the fed probably has been supporting AIG as failure here would set the precedent of a failed approach and bad policy- oops- did I write that?.
So looks like AIG stays in a range of 60-30 while the world decides if USD are worthy enough for the mighty executioner China to keep floating our debt.
Nice to see that so many of our vets died for our freedom, only to see the whiz kid financial martyrs,go and sell our future soul to the red dragon, a dragon who would rather execute free speech and other free market liberties we used to enjoy from our soldiers sacrifice.

Um I a little have video from Nigeria (pipes, petrol, old tires and matches) and how they deal with problems like theft.
