Al Qaeda Confirms Death Of bin Laden

Tyler Durden's picture

From Reuters:

Al Qaeda confirmed the death Osama bin Laden on
Friday in an Internet message that vowed revenge on the United States
and its allies, including Pakistan, according to the SITE monitoring
service.

Five days after President Barack Obama announced bin
Laden's death in a U.S. raid in Pakistan, al Qaeda vowed not to deviate
from the path of armed struggle and said bin Laden's blood "is more
precious to us and to every Muslim than to be wasted in vain."

"It (bin Laden's blood) will remain, with permission from Allah the
Almighty, a curse that chases the Americans and their agents, and goes
after them inside and outside their countries," the militant network
said in a statement released on Islamist Internet forums and translated
by SITE.

"Their happiness will turn into sorrow, and their blood will be mixed with their tears," al Qaeda said.

"We call upon our Muslim people in Pakistan, on whose land Sheikh Osama
was killed, to rise up and revolt to cleanse this shame that has been
attached to them by a clique of traitors and thieves ... and in general
to cleanse their country from the filth of the Americans who spread
corruption in it."

Ashcroft’s arrival at Xe is yet another clear signal it’s not giving up the quest for lucrative government security contracts now that it’s no longer owned by founder Erik Prince, even as it emphasizes the side of its business that trains law enforcement officers. In September, it won part of a $10 billion State Department contract to protect diplomats, starting with the U.S. consulate in Jerusalem.

This is the reward for the higher echelon of government workers, for going along with the program. I wouldn't mind if they actually served the people while they were in office, but they don't.  Ever wonder why these people want to serve their corporations/government. We are run by corporations. Don't forget we never stop paying them pensions and other benefits. They don't just rape us once, but for the rest of their and our lives. We never stop paying literally and figuratively.

Military officers aren't trained to question their leaders. They're decent people, but they won't realize that they've been snookered by the left-right establishment until they're in their 30's or 40's.

The amount of indoctrination (read brain-washing) that an officer in training gets nearly continuously is huge.  It includes a lot of manufactured false "history" so he'll know who the "Good Guys" and the "Bad Guys" are/were.  Most of them never see through it.

This is necessary in order to get "decent people" to be the killing automatons that they become in the service of the PTB.  The U.S. military does not defend the average J6P American.  He is trained, employed and paid by the Power Elites and they are the ones that are the beneficiaries of his sacrifices.  If he chooses not to participate in this criminal operation, he is severely punished and expelled from the service in disgrace without his pension.  If he's too recognized and vocal, it will become unlikely that he will of die of natural causes in old age.  Odds become much higher that he will have an "accident" or commit "suicide".

The average Earthling has no realistic hope of ever being free as long as this system exists.  The U.S. military budget needs to be cut by at least 75% and the current crop of military elites removed.

It's not much different from other militaristic societies, except in its size.

Ok, so the news cycle this week has been completed.

Thank you ever so much Al-Qaida for your confirmation on Friday. Thank you for not leaving this up to our imagination any longer and possibly ruin our dinner conversations with friends and family that may have bought the propaganda hook, line and sinker.

This latest statement of Al-Qaida confirmes everything of course. So does your garden variety of Obama sponsor elites that come on TV, to say they "believe" (the President) and that is enough for them. Michael Moore, you're an even bigger tool than I thought.

How afraid should Americans be in the days, weeks, months ahead?

Very afraid. Al-Qaida says so and rest assured, something will happen because it must happen because war is lucrative and chaos and destruction are still better than trying to fix something.

If there's no solution to the current problems, we just cut off the problems and restart the process.

I don't see any solutions and probably none of you here, see any solutions either.

Problems everywhere. A scape goat, a terrorized nation. A huge military media finance complex ready to wage war at a moment's notice.

Perfect ploy.

I'm wondering if someone can help me understand why lie now?  The administartion and intelligence community botched this false flag operation pretty badly by how many times they changed the story and then dumped him at sea.  You have Carney stuttering like a lovestruck schoolboy when asked about the "firefight."  Brennan can't keep the facts (lies) straight from day to day.  Obama didn't want to bomb the compound because he wanted to prove we killed OBL, but then they dump the body in the sea.  They must have consulted a preschooler for designing this lie.

Why rush a lie and not take time to construct it well?  Perhaps killing Qaddiffi's son andgrand kids?

What's coming out today is that Al Qaida is planning attacks, targeting trains, etc.  That's bullshit since the Bin Laden story was fabricated.  So why lie?

My take is watch for more civil liberties to be stripped away shortly and perhaps another false flag event.  Could be good cover for the economy shitting itself perhaps?  Could be good cover for stripping away civill liberties to label rioters as terrorists once hyperinflation or severe depression kicks in during the summer?

Why lie now?  Who benefits and what does it divert attention away from?  Any speculation you guys have?

Most of the population has forgotten there's radiation spewing into the atmosphere in Japan.  What makes you think they have the attention span to attribute OBL's "death" to Obama for the next  18 months?  If it was for campaign why not wait until this time next year to sell the lie?  It'd be easier to ride the wave into November 2012 that way.

Thanks for the intelligent and constructive input.

Something I find funny about your perception about false flags etc.

On one hand, I often hear people accusing our government of connecting pockets of information that are otherwise unrelated in order to justify a larger agenda.  Yet at the same time, the people who "see past the false flags" do exactly the same.

You arrive at the conviction that this was an inside job, that the firefight is questionable, that the entire "Bin Laden story was fabricated."  How?  Do you have a hundred trusted informants dispatched across Pakistan or are you just picking which blogs you find interesting?

I hope you realize that you too are connecting whichever dots of information you please in order to confirm what you hope to be true.

But the reality is that there's a difference between information (collecting facts), intelligence (what those facts mean) and speculation (what those facts mean after being exposed to personal prejudice).  It's good to be skeptical of the powers at be but at some point, you'll have to come back to earth and realize that knowledge without mileage has no value--you'll never know unless you go.

I for one have spent six years in Iraq and Afghanistan.  I know warfare better than Tyler knows the markets and well, this is why I'm junking you.  You have freedom of speech but please, with that, feel free to know what the fuck you're talking about.  There's plenty of guys like me who just ended up spending time overseas because we're natural war fighters.  Our loyalty goes no further than the man next to us.  We have no interest in bullshitting you or lying to you and our only agenda is to kick some ass.  Feel free to take us seriously sometime... You might end up informed.

"You arrive at the conviction that this was an inside job, that the firefight is questionable, that the entire "Bin Laden story was fabricated."  How?"

It's called "critical thinking" ... you ought to try it some time.

Whereas you simply believe, unquestioningly, the story put out by the government "because they always tell the truth", some of us (and I'm not answering for CD here, but for myself) put each new story into a context of previous stories and follow-up stories. We also look for evidence for both sides of the argument.

For example, I was a believer in the official story of 9-11 until someone pointed me at the evidence of the deliberate demolition of Building 7 just a few years ago. That blew my mind and caused me to re-look at both sides of the evidence for the rest of the story. Since then, even more video and audio evidence has been extracted from NIST, under court order because they fought the release tooth-and-nail, that seals the case that the whole of 9-11 was a false flag. I originally thought that it "could be", but summarily dismissed that because "too many people had to know, and one of them would talk" ... well, one of them talked just this week!

Now, if 9-11 was a false flag carried out by a mythical (ie. false flag front) organisation with a mythical (ie. CIA asset) leader, then all subsequent stories that rely on the same organisation and same leader start out from very shaky ground and require a much higher standard of evidence to substantiate them. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

All O'bomber has come up with in this latest farce are bogus photos and a story line that has changed 3 or 4 times already in just a few days. Doesn't that even raise a small question in your unshakeable faith in the official story?

PS. I have a close friend in the military who will discuss 9-11 with me and defend the government to the point that I think he would like to shoot me for questioning it, but he absolutely refuses to even look at the evidence for Building 7 and other anomalies. That is just totally irrational and an extreme example of "normalcy bias".

Kopfjager's picture

Oh I get it, critical thinking...  So considering the governments track record of lying, their refusal to release audio and video and the recent confession of insiders gives reason to believe that it was an inside job?

How is that different than assuming Saddam has WMD's since he's used them before?  He denied weapon inspectors access to sites and two of his generals came forward and admitted that the weapons were flown to Syria before the invasion.  If you were to "put each new story into a context of previous stories and follow-up stories," you'd have reason to believe that he had WMD's.

Do you see how wrong you can be even if you connect dots that appear to be related?  Calling everyone else out on their bullshit is just as important as being able to call yourself out.

But say you sincerely believe what you say you believe.  What I find troubling is that aside from talking about it, you haven't done shit.  No rebellions, no insurgencies, no coups...  Either you don't believe in what you're saying or you're just a pussy.  As for guys like me, well... we tend to follow through with our convictions.  Saddam, Zarqawi, Bin Laden and several hundred thousand others would agree. But who am I to speak for them... They're all dead.  ;)

Yea, that's pretty much right. There was a counterinsurgency SS unit that earned the name "headhunter" since they primarily tracked down communist insurgents and/or high value targets on the eastern front. They were bypassed by the Red Army and were left almost fully intact at the end of WWII. But instead of surrendering, they evaded westwards and many ended up joining the French Foreign Legion. The French didn't care for them much so they sent them to die in Indochina. Thing is, the surviving SS headhunters did surprisingly well since counterinsurgency was their bread and butter. Eventually they began to use their SS symbol as a fear tactic against the VC. Their soviet advisors surely knew the meaning of such symbols. However, after the French left, many Germans remained (wanted to stay under the radar) and eventually became advisors to early American special operations.

Marine Scout Snipers (SS) adopted the symbol and it became part of the underground culture of counterinsurgency, hunter/killer teams. The headhunter name stuck and the lightning bolts are still used today but mostly for it's shock factor. Symbols are always changing hands and taking on different meanings though, nothing new.

How is that different than assuming Saddam has WMD's since he's used them before?

I like to go one step further. How did he get them? Britian and the U.S. were selling and allowing them to be sold to Iraq. Through intermediary countries via front companies. Britian was selling them to both Iran and Iraq during their war.

Flying the Flag - John Pilger Documentary

If you were to "put each new story into a context of previous stories and follow-up stories," you'd have reason to believe that he had WMD's.

Their sources were CURVEBALL ( thats rich ) and Ahmed Chalabi.

Before the war, the CIA was largely skeptical of Chalabi and the INC, but information allegedly from his group (most famously from a defector codenamed "Curveball") made its way into intelligence dossiers used by President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair to justify an invasion of Iraq. "Curveball" – allegedly the brother of one of Chalabi's top lieutenants – fed officials hundreds of pages of bogus "firsthand" descriptions of mobile biological weapons factories on wheels and rails.

In connecting the dots you left out a few stories. What right do we have to inspect anything taking into consideration our dirty hands in the whole affair?

What I find troubling is that aside from talking about it, you haven't done shit.

And you have fought a war that is based on lies, but you are supporting the Industrial War Complex and corporations. You have the major forces (Financial, Government, Corporations, Media) supporting this war which means the common man that is against this war is up against a stacked deck. What would you do? Just curious. A coup or insurrection?

Maybe your convictions should be questioned based on facts not cherry picked data.

Well an interesting thing about all the intel we received is that most of it was leaked with intent. Before Saddam was hung, he confessed to an FBI agent that he saw Iran as the primary threat and built the illusion of having WMD's to keep them at bay. As for the US, he assumed we would bomb him to hell again but never go as far as removing him from power. He guessed wrong and we were eager to kick someones ass.

What bothers me is when people inject their own prejudice into simple facts. One person might interpret earthquakes as gods punishment for legalizing gay marriage and another might interpret the death of Bin Laden as an excuse to ship us into FEMA camps.... Who knows but the point is, if you want to understand what's going on in the world, you have to be as critical of your own shit as you are of others. Bin Laden was killed by a team of seals. Specifics on missions are fumbled all the time. Why? Because our intel agencies are infested with idiots. Sorry to take all the magic out of it... They're the grown up version of the kids you use to beat up for lunch money.

Now onto being critical of my own shit... You'll have to specify which war you're talking about. I hope you can at least appreciate that I'm not willing to bind all conflicts together.

Sat, 05/07/2011 - 18:43 | 1251641 Rick64
Rick64's picture

My point is that the U.S. and Britian were responsible for Iraq having chemical and biological weapons in the first place. Regardless if later they were destoyed or transferred to Syria.  The Bush administration's credible source for intel was the same source that the CIA deemed not credible. Then the CIA suddenly changed their stance and stood behind the intel from Curveball and Chalabi. Colin Powell went before the UN with his case against Iraq based on this intel. Now we find out that Curveball made it all up (he confessed this in an interview). Remember the CIA was of the opinion originally that it wasn't credible.  In reference to the Iraq War

You can view it as these are incompetent people and you may be right, but I view it as a few with an agenda manipulating the incompetent. There are competent people in many agencies, but they are discredited or intimidated. For example: Able Danger, Sibel Edmonds, Dr. David Graham (private citizen), and several more that had relevant intel that might have prevented 9/11. These aren't cases where leads weren't followed up because of poor judgement or incompetence, these are cases where these people were intimidated and persecuted for trying to do the right thing and their superiors didn't allow it.   In reference to 9/11

As far as Osama goes it doesn't matter to me if the mission was real or not, if he is dead or not. Its irrelevant. He isn't even wanted for 9/11 according to the FBI    http://www.fbi.gov/wanted    there is no real proof that he is even linked except for a blurry video ( very questionable ). Yet the Whitehouse is hailing this as a big victory for 9/11 and the media is playing along. No matter what war is specified it is the same bullshit. I used to believe that well at least WWII was a just war, but after researching that war I find that we were again manipulated into thinking this.  Pick a war or conflict and I will show you the real reasons behind it. I don't want to sound condescending, but just because you are fighting in it doesn't mean you understand why it was initiated or that its justified.

Sat, 05/07/2011 - 19:26 | 1251729 Kopfjager
Kopfjager's picture

No, you don't come off as condescending, just naive. My only regret is doing my job so well that everyone here begins to believe there's no threat at all; that the reason why there haven't been any attacks on US soil must be because there is no threat and not because our special operations units are so damn good at what they do.

A military can only protect society; it's society that makes it worth protecting. In my opinion, it's time to pull out not because our objectives are complete but because I have yet to meet a single person whose words give me the feeling that anything I've done has been worth it. In the end, all we have is a lost youth, some medals, some dead friends and a population that thinks you've made the whole thing up.

Sat, 05/07/2011 - 21:17 | 1251880 Rick64
Rick64's picture

Well I've produced facts to back up what I am saying, and you haven't. The society your protecting isn't the U.S. they could do that from here. I do believe there is a threat to Americans that are in Iraq and Afghanistan, and even more in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Its ironic that the hijackers weren't even from Afghanistan. The Taliban was not our enemy except for the fact that they were harbouring Osama and wouldn't turn him over to the U.S.. One of the reasons was the U.S. had no solid evidence that he was linked to 9/11.

So we made deals with drug warlords and went after the Taliban and Osama. Implemented a democratic government (I use this term loosely) and who would've guessed that Hamid Karzai was elected president whose brother is a known drug kingpin. The same Karzai that worked as a consultant for UNOCAL which wanted to build the Afghanistan pipeline. Guess what the pipeline is going to be built (very significant economically). They have a government of corrupt politicians, some of which are criminals and druglords. Malali Joya a formerly a member of the Afghan Parliament exposed this and was ousted as a result. So the result until now is that this corrupt government will do what is in our best interests as will Iraq and any other puppet regimes we install. If it starts corrupt will it become less corrupt as time goes on. Not likely looking at history, and does the U.S. care? No after all we have supported many ruthless and corrupt regimes before.

The things you are protecting are the weapons manufacturers, corporations that recieve lucrative contracts for infrastructure projects and to supply the war machine, the U.S. control of the middle east ect..., but you think your fighting for our freedom, ideals, and protecting us. Who has benefitted the most from these wars? I'm naive?

I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class thug for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902–1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents.[12]

your anti-muslim attitude is really getting old man. Have you ever been to the middle east and met with any real muslims? Trust me i know where you're comming from, i got infedel tattooed on my inner bicept so when i was over seas i could wave at the insurgants and incite them to violence so we would have a reason to shoot them. I had my mind changed when i understood the message of christ and mohamad are the same. Peace is only possible when you accept no "god" wants his children to kill each other. Would you want your children to kill each other?

I hope you recognize this before your hatred consumes you like it almost did me.

In your knee-jerk fashion, you took NOTW777's post as an attack on Muslims. He was questioning how we know that Muslims worldwide are cheering OBL's supposed demise. Do they even believe he's dead? If they do, do they care? The media gave airtime to a few who were happy. How about the ones out there burning American flags in Pakistan? Are they happy?

I've become familiar with his posts but you are right, it was a little knee jerk of me. I don't think he is attacking muslims with this post but i get a sense of anger towards them (could just be me). I'm sure there are vast numbers of "muslims" that are out there burning flags and crying al akbar but they too are just being controlled by their imams. Fear is a great motivator just ask our media.

The purpose of writing a fake news article on that subject would be? There are multiple sources that have confirmed it, including families of the victims. I believe all cultures are different. If they were all the same, there wouldn't be such a thing as culture. Even people in different parts of states have different beliefs.  To follow up on that, Dr. David Graham met 3 of the 9/11 hijackers at Jamal Khan's residence and reported their suspicious activity to the FBI 10 mo. before 9/11.  One of the hijackers said that he had met with Osama in Pakistan when talking to Jamal. Jamal's family had a residence in Northern Pakistan near the area Osama was shot (crazy to think that he might have been there the whole time).

Sibel Edmonds- another whistleblower with incriminating evidence against the government and their failure to do anything. She was a translator for the FBI.

Able Danger- an operation that identified plots and the terrorist Atta.

All these whistleblowers were shut up and intimidated, showing not just the government's failure to act, but their complicity in the 9/11 attacks.

That's my point. If there really was a dangerous terrorist group with legions of suicide bombers waiting for the call, there would be mass carnage everywhere. These plots were pushed along by the government and there are probably a few Muslim copycats out there who believe the fairytale and want their martyrdom. The real threat comes from the government. Who do you think hates our freedom and liberty more? The US government bureaucrats and politicians or a goat herder in Pakistan?

There really are some dangerous terrorist groups with legions of (clueless, brain-washed) suicide bombers waiting for the call.  The reason there isn't mass carnage everywhere (at airport "security" e.g.), is because it's not part of the scripts (at least yet) of the PTB and their sheep herders.  Those real terrorist groups go by names such as CIA, Mossad, MI5.  They have very big budgets, nearly unlimited resources and staff that are sworn to secrecy.

Those are terrorists with an independence agenda like the Basque separatists, the IRA and Corsica NLF.  They normally want everyone to know who really is performing the terror activity.  In some cases their terror has resulted in improved conditions and a reduction of tyrrany from an oppressor for their nation.  India and Ireland are examples.

The SOBs we have to deal with daily have dependence agendas.  Their terror is always false flag and is intended to frighten the proles into further dependence on the Power Elites, reduce the prole's freedom and tighten control.   They hate freedom but love doublespeak.

powerline towers;

Kinda surprised that these sorts of things haven't been targeted. Is it because these wouldn't generate sufficient media coverage (at least until enough attacks happened for someone to connect the dots) or the fear that such localised attacks would awaken and enrage Joe 12gauge?

"are we really the same people as a decade ago?"

I don't think there has been much change. Most still believe that 9-11 wasn't a false flag; most still believe that a change of president or party will fix "the problem"; most still believe that the current deliberate takedown of western economies is just a keynesian accident........

Even on ZH, there are as many anti-contrarian defenses of the status quo as there are junked posts attempting to point out the obvious paradigm change to a global central control over every aspect of individual lives.

Anecdotal evidence is often presented here of silver bugs being viewed as nutters by even their close family and friends. I am viewed as a "truther" by close friends ... who I view as "swallowers" (of the government lies)!

The CIA sent their communique?  Think a little people... if Al-CIAda were real, we would have seen dozens of small attacks by now... (shootings in schools, bombings, ect...) but we haven't seen that... Al-Qaeda : BS.

"Al Qaeda Confirms?"

The cells all got together, examined the evidence, took a vote and then issued a joint press release to Reuters.

The Dept of Homeland Security is doing a far better job antagonizing the American people than Al CIAda ever has.

Oh and did I mention that there is no evidence linking OBL to 9.11?

How can you be so sure that Al Queda, a wholly owned subsidiary of the CIA, hasn't seen his body sometime in the last ten years or so?  Do you have the necessary (CIA) security clearance?

"It (bin Laden's blood) will remain, with permission from Allah the Almighty, a curse that chases the Americans and their agents, and goes after them inside and outside their countries,"

"We call upon our Muslim people in Pakistan, on whose land Sheikh Osama was killed, to rise up and revolt to cleanse this shame that has been attached to them by a clique of traitors and thieves ... and in general to cleanse their country from the filth of the Americans who spread corruption in it."

Something is lost in translation.
