Unlike other religions Au and Ag aren't going to lie to you, ask you for tithes, tell you what to wear, tell you what to believe, tell you who you can or can't listen to, tell you that science is wrong, make you put faith in something mystical, unproven, unprovable and while asking you to do so blindly tell you that blind faith is a virtue.

There is no blind faith in Ag and Au any more than there is blind faith in smacking yourself in the face.

And what is more religious than fiat paper that needs the "full faith and credit" of a government (which is supposed to be the people)?

My thesis has been one more delivery cover-up/delay etc. this time around.  Not sure how they will pull it off, but price actions show they are trying.  Then, one more concerted attack providing a new sweet entry point.  Then, nowhere to hide for the cartel as silver market gets too big to manipulate (it already is in the long term) and request for delivery too prevalent to paper over.

J Turks predictions for 2011

pretty much nails it except gold is lagging his 2k figure which he missed in 2010 as well

note, he calls for $50 silver probably in Q1 2011

then calls for a correction and meandering between $38-50

No parabolic yet: For those of you who missed it yesterday, in the 1980 parabolic move, Silver went from just over 6 dollars to 49.50 in a few days over a year. That was an 800% rise in about 380 days. We're at about 160% at the moment from September 2010.

If it were to follow the same 1970-80 curve, the total to peak was 5000%. We've already traced about a 1000% increase. From today's prices I estimate another 400-500%. It could be parabolic, or it could be the destruction of the US$. If the later, then it will not stop at $150. But just to be safe make sure you straddle it when it gets into the $150-160 range. Hey, maybe Texas U will buy some too, huh? (hehehe)

Parabolic?  Yes.  Correct to $30's? Doubtful.  This thing needs to run a lot further for the COMEX to scrounge up supply for next month.

Remember that there are a lot of big buyers lurking out there, most of whom have a lot of US dollars they are looking to unload, and silver is a major strategic resource.

This isn't a religion.  It's supply vs. demand.  That probably wasn't taught in your McGraw-Hill (subsidiary of S & P) textbooks.

What you are seeing is at least 50 years of suppression unwind, although 139 years is probably more like it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coinage_Act_of_1873

You are witnessing a very long term Ponzi reach critical mass.  You can argue what you think the price of silver "should" be, but if you don't have silver to sell your opinion doesn't count.

I had correctly predicted increase in silver price growth speed here, in this March 13th graph.

http://saposjoint.net/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=2626&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&sta...

But I made that prediction correctly based on consequent correction to 25-28 USD. Have i also predicted correction correctly ( that its coming soon) , and the level of correction price ( its 45 USD in the graph, could be of course even >50 USD in the peak as well as prices move very fast in superexponential growth region)?

We shall know in less than a 2 weeks.

The interesting thing is , stocks has to drop at the same time, as USD value will be somewhat temporarily restored vs. silver and also a bit vs. gold, but oil price should not change dramatically.

Is Iran going to do something stupid? I have no idea what could cause all these events simultaneously. Or some too big to fail bank may fail?

silver is as overbought right now as I've seen anything be in some time.  I would be very wary here.  It needs some time after a huge move like this to burn off the overbought condition, consolidate and whatnot

At least have the decency to post the 'REAL' chart. You base your rhetoric on a 21 day EMA and volume?

Side note: I wonder if we'll be seeing a major disconnect between SLV and physical price at some point soon??

Silver is now trading in $2 increments. $46 will be its next "potential" resistance. Unless we just smash through that as well. Which is very likely. The Silver Liberation Army and Silver Vigilantes are taking this price parabolic.

SLV is the joker in the Silver shop. Far less emotional to sell paper  Silver, than the real thing. When it does sell off, it could well be a real hum dinger, but I still reckon that time is waaaaay off.

On the charts I use, the current rise in Silver is barely at a 15 degree angle. If I zoom in... wow it looks parabolic! How magical (rolls eyes).

Silver Breakout Above All Time High

The previous intraday all time high during the Hunt Bros. 1981  excursions was I believe $ 50. and change in the spot month which I believe was in March.

Anyway, trading through that level is important, and to do it convincingly. So, if we see it trade to say 52, that will be convincing. At that point I would expect many technicians to buy, they would rather pay 52 after a breakout above the old high, than buy it now at $44.

I believe we didn't come all this way,...to stop here, so I think it will be breached in the next few days to weeks. As anyone with technical background knows, this would bring about a move to 100 - 150 similar to whats has happened to Oil when it broke above 42 a barrel.

I'll wait until the 13-week is yielding 15% before I do, it'll be a nice speculative play then. I wonder who all you silver bugs are gonna sell it to once everyone owns it. You still won't be able to buy anything with it because the government (and the dreaded fiat) will still be standing (powerful people know better than you or I how to stay in power). Thus you will have a bunch of wealth you cannot use for anything, then you will think " Oh gee, better get out now" right around the time everyone else does, then boom, silver futures drop like a 9th graders nut sack and you are all screaming trying to sell to anyone who will take it and you end up cashing out for around $35 an ounce.

That is an impression they would like to cultivate, it emboldens you to take more steps towards the certain doom they have contrived for you, hence that it is why they have not spread propaganda to the contrary. Which they could, if they wanted. It's like poker: the sheeple are on level 1, everyone here is on level 2, and they are on level 3.. come join me on level 4.

Wed, 04/20/2011 - 19:42 | 1190477 akak

The sociopathic elites can cultivate whatever impression they like, but the incontrovertable historical fact is that nations with chronically overspending governments going into massive and unsustainable debt always ---- ALWAYS --- go the route of a "soft default" by depreciating their currency (if they are lucky), or suffering an outright currency collapse if they are not so lucky.  I see absolutely nothing to suggest that "this time it is different".

Really, go learn some history, then get back to us.

Actually, I totally believe in the sincerity and honesty of Joe Biden when it comes to his concerns about human rights.

The only problem is that he, and the rest of the power elite, view themselves as the only humans --- the rest of us are just untermenschen, and nothing but resources and pawns in their sociopathic power struggles.
