Read the article. He seems to be complaining that the stock dropped $10 or 3% in a few minutes. This for a stock that has gone up by what % over the last few months. The point I'm trying to make is that it seems everyone has completely forgotten what it is like to have the stock market actually go down...

I'm sorry, I forgot. CSCO is no longer a tech bellwether. Its been replaced by NFLX and PCLN.
Way back when CSCO's primary growth plan was to move into supplying wireline carriers with new switching equipment and capture that huge market. That market is in steady decline and developing econs are jumping right to wireless. They missed the shift. They are a plumbing supply company now.
It's not a market. A market has 2 sides. Instead of doing the QE bs why didn't he just tell the exchange to reset the prices for every company 40% higher and let the market take care of itself. When this goes bad for Benny whose pays the money back that was shoveled into the market? Now I know what a Viagra iv drip is like. Word is that the exchanges are no longer going to offer the VIX index as it's no longer relevant.
Similar to Bucharest for sure, but now the communication is open and the state police identified. In Romania most of us were against Ceausescu, but 10% who were part of the communist party or the state police. It was impossible to identify the traitors.
Mubarak looks like he doesn't want to die in his bad. If he gets killed, Middle East will blow-up. However, I see Mubarak as a coward, and I think he's playing shell game with the people, while he's securing some of his fortune outside the country. I also think that this kind of attitude is part of their culture.
The fact that the opposition doesn't have recognizable faces make it even tougher for the people to easily win this. Again, it's probably part of their culture not to openly support their leaders.
