Perhaps the National Guard or the U.N.?

Media reports of National Guard mobilizations nationwide. Large U.N. troop convoy reported in PA.

Please be patient!  Computers are swamped front-running orders.  Normal operations will resume when all front-running completed.

Exactly. My background is electronics (BSEE) and I have learned how annoying new tech has become. I certainly don't trust it.

nah. Chronic misapplication of technolgy. For instance; the intertewbs could be the greatest system for distributing knowledge (with or without wisdom), since the printing press. We however, use it to gawk at the latest in the Lindey Lohan saga like the accident on the opposite side of the freeway that is.

I understand you point; however, I disagree. Perhaps a slightly different perspective is in order: I refuse to use self-checkout. Precisely because the technology isn't mature enough for such an application. Could argue management's misallocation; however, I've learned to avoid new tech until all the bugs are fixed. Kinda like the old MS-DOS saying, "Just say no to X.00." Never buy the initial release. :)

What I'd like to know is;

How the fuck did central banks not know their withdrawal of 'liquidity support' would lead to this? For fucks sake they've been supporting liquidity for years, decades even. What a bunch of idiots.

But, what about all that amazing HFT and related "technology" that allowed markets to process millions of orders per minute, with volumes of "liquidity" flowing through allowing ma and pa investors to get "best execution" on their orders?

Oh, it was all fucking bullshit....now I get it.....

never happens during the melt up right?  Another scam perpetrated by the casino operators.  Best thing they can do is get out of the way, let it collapse, let the banks fail, nationalize them and lets fix this corrupt system once and for all.

Isn't this just another way of saying "OK lemmings, we can only allow 30% of you to heave yourself off the cliff, the rest of you will have to wait your turn"? To me, if we're going to have a catastrophe as seems likely, why sugarcoat it unless you want to blatantly manipulate the market (as is obviously occurring, to disastrous effect). I just wonder how many investors are just cold sitting this one out until it actually reaches bottom. Judging by the volume figures, it seems quite a few people are doing just that.

Obviously this is bs, more corruption from the system.
