Again with the minnows. I have so much confidence in the markets now that everything is all cleaned up, I think I might go buy some big bank stocks.
Nail on head buzzsaw99. This is at best the junior varsity squad being brought in "to justice". SEC/FBI public relations is the best way to describe this circus show.
Agreed. When the paddy busses park in front of 85 Broad and the HRT shows up with their normal combat load for arresting citizens, I'll jump for joy.
Same here on the jumping for joy - but dang, I really need some more sleep or a better prescription. I scanned the headline and I thought it said "ropes and gay" - thought we're getting into some complaint about a homosexual bondage scandal or something... my bad.
IMHO, it's even worse than that. They are being targeted for daring to encroach upon the big TBTF Fed-Banks' territory of conducting illegal and criminal activity in the markets. Kinda like drug lords killing off the competition in their areas of operation.
I tend to agree. GS and friends are officially sanctioned and protected.
LOL!
can't wait for a new batch of perp walk photos.
at exactly what point do the real offenders pay the piper? ben? lloyd? jamie?
i'm with you on this.....until i see gs execs doing the perp walk, i call continued bs on the part of that worthless p.o.s. Mary Schapiro. For those who may respond about selective enforcement, please go phuck yourself.
the jpm/alabama matter is a perfect example....why the fuck is the piece of shit SEC not pursuing criminal charges??
President Obama: i know you are not a finance guy, but for pete's sake, you were a constitutional law prof. how about the rule of law???
he was an adjunct professor and for what its worth, he believes the constitution is a flawed document and needs to be "reworked"
Looks like Raj decided yesterday that he was not going to spend 10 years in the big house alone.
donde esta el attachement?
Patience. Bigger fish are harder to catch.
David Plate hasnt been at Schottenfeld for 2 years. This is smallfry bullshit meant to give people the impression the sec is doign its job.
JPM.....GS.......SAC.........
go after them and I will believe thier is an actual fire under the SEC, until then I still believe there is no hair on their balls!
C'mon guys, prosecutions for insider trading? Thats just alpha. These frikking lawyers know nothing about finance :-P
You need the small fish to flip on the whales. This is how you build a case, start with the small frys that have everything to lose then when you have enough hard evidence you pull out the harpoon.
Perhaps the reason there have been no perp walks at GS is because nobody at GS has done anything wrong
That's the funniest damn joke I've heard in the history of my life. Thanks for the laughs.
But considering we *know* they've done many things wrong, as has been evidenced countless times by this blog and others -- your statement is nothing more than a silly hypothetical.
Misrepresenting value is fraud. Frontrunning is illegal. Colluding with ratings agencies is fraud. Naked shorting is illegal.
What planet have you been on?
I agree. BTW, OJ is innocent too, Michael Jackson was not a pedophile and Clinton did not have sex with that woman.
Okay, folks lets get with the program here:
$1 billion Hedge Fund Managers = Force of Evil
Goldman Sachs = Force of Good
Repeat that enough times so that you believe it.
I will believe this nonsense/drama when Benny boy is arrested.
