Looks like BAC is moving up in the face of all the bad publicity.Someone is accumulating. But C is a better buy, now that the government has sold its shares. C could move to 6 easily from current levels.

The CIA? Damn, they're probably on here too! I first signed up to ZH over a year ago and without proper thought I used my real name as my username... god how could I have been so stupid! Can somebody please tell me how to change my username? I don't want the bad guys to track me down...

Well, regardless of whether or not we think Assange is an egomaniacal asshat, I think it's safe to say most of us here are rooting for him to have some real dirt.

I wish Assange would just release the stuff already, before something happens to him.

I can understand a delay until after holidays for maximum impact. But then STFU until you're ready.

What possible difference can this make to you? It's Assange who is facing life in the hole while you and all the other armchair quarterhacks whine that he isn't playing the game right. When your ass is on the line then you can call the shots. But until that time you can STFU.

Say it with me. Assange may be part of the CIA.   After all, who in their right mind releases tabloid, water cooler documents.   Furthermore, why does he discount the 911 truth movement.  911 is the root of everything that is going right  now.  The 911 report was junk.  Norad was told to stand down, wtc 7 fell like a demolition even though it had asymetric damage.   Flight 93 never crashed at the Shanksville sight and the Pentagon was not hit by a plane.   All the data is out there.  It all leads to an inside job.

Having said that, my guess is that Assange is a tool or a willing accessory in a psyops campaign.

I agree that 911 requires more investigation but just because JA is not making this a battle doesn't neccesarily mean he is a patsy or a stooge.

The nastiest secret in world banking is drug money. Documents on that are the most toxic of all, and would be a fine fine bit of "insurance".

Banking has already proved that it can do anything it wants to with impunity. Nothing about the aboveground activities will hurt anyone.

Can someone propose an explanation as to why Wikileaks are going to release it 'next year'? why delay, end of year marks important to someone? and what does 'next year' mean anyway? January 1st.. December 1st? Seems weak to me too, I'm cutting my SKF long, sick of this charade.

I doubt that they want to just dump some guy's hard drive on the Internet. How long would it take you to sift through 5 gigs of data and prepare it for release in a comprehensible form?

I tend to support Crockett's POV. I have been following the debate on a number of sites as to whether or not Wikileaks is the real deal or some type of front organisation. I don't know for sure but it bothers me that so many are jumping on the conspiracy band wagon. Wikileaks has been around for a few years - why now are these questions coming out about their provenance. Why has this new meme entered the marketplace now?

I admit that I may be wrong but for now I think Wikileaks is the real deal

Nope. College football. National championship game is January 10. They won't fuck with that date. Too many vested money interests.

Now, the Super Bowl, that's another story. Those guys are pros and they will be compensated if the game doesn't get played as scheduled. After that, nothing until the NCAA hoops tourney in March. That's when the system can implode. Everybody is just waiting, thinking, throwing their FRNs into illegal pools, stuff that gives the police probable cause.

It won't be noisy. Just lots of otherwise innocent people losing. So, the tournament goes on, without much fanfare, but lots of arrests of unruly students along the way. Then the false flag, before baseball season starts. Players don't care much for Spring training, anyhow. Will they cancel the baseball season. No way!

Life will go on, but it will be just a little more brutal than it is now. Besides, they don't want to crush the populace in the middle of Winter, when they're all paying outsize utility bills. My best guess is around April 15, tax day, when TSHTF, when the govt. realizes that people aren't paying their taxes. When they know they're truly done, because, really, they've managed to get themselves by the balls.

The entire Ponzi goes up in flames sometime between March 20 and May 20. That's about as specific as I can get right now, 'cause it's late, and I don't have it all figured out, but like Samuel L. Jackson in the final scene of "Pulp Fiction,"... "you are the weak and I am the tyranny of evil men, but I'm trying really hard to be the shepherd."

Be your own boss. Keep your own counsel.

Unless it details Brian Moynihan saying he wants to destroy the 'Mercan Dream by killing that snaggle toothed girl from Jersey Shore, it may not be too big a deal, I mean, what could it be?  That hundreds of thousands of deeds to homes are not valid and or missing?  Well we know that.  But I am sure the White House will find a way to make the crisis go to waste.

I believe they have info on B of A, there is no doubt that B of A has fucked people over for years, but Wikileaks has never before given notice, for that reason alone I believe they have no ticking time bomb or they would toss it, they want to give the fed and Moynihan time to rebute whatever they have so it doesn't LOOK weak but instead seems well defended.  I would like to see B of A taken down as retribution but afraid of unintended consequences to entire economy

My view of the WL story is simple, so far they haven't blown the lid off of anything, but IF they ever do, then the story changes completely.

When I say "blow the lid" I mean present incontrovertible evidence of something like the Nixon tapes or the Pentagon Papers. If that happens and in the end WL turns out to have truly altered the course of history, then this story changes forever. Until then, it is great theater. A show I must confess I do enjoy watching.

I like to speculate on what Assange really might have on BofA. Email exchanges between executives bragging about the worthless assets it sent to the FED? Proof that management knew about and encouraged fraudulent mortgage practices? Linear paper trails of MBS packages being sold to multiple investors? A "black book" like Al Capone's showing massive money laundering? Seriously, what could really bring down the bank?

What could bring down a bank?

Simple - something that stirs emotion into action (bank run) - like assisting the enemy, either through complacency or direct aid.

Al Capone?  Was he an eagle scout like Hank Paulson?

Gee, I'm sure glad that no financial institution will ever again be in a position where failure will substantially effect the financial stability of the US or the world.  It will be so refreshing to see BofA's assets distributed to smaller financial institutions when the life support plug (treserve nipple) is finally pulled.  What?  You mean it's not going to go down like that?

Guess what douche is called for and they aren't acting responsively. But if you had the info you say you do you'd know that. Fucking tease...

You have to appreciate the deliciousness of letting the bankers sweat... they don't know if Wiki has it... but Wiki most likely does because, not having it, they would lose all that trust they have built up... so enjoy this... the calm before the storm... the tension... the payoff will be so much sweeter in the end.

Paulson & Lewis are golf buddies, I heard them laughing about Ken's "Its a Thing of Beauty" quote on CNBC from 2008.  The funny thing now is, after 8 quarters of earnings, Merrill Lynch has more than paid for itself, and could be spun off if need be. Better do it before Julian mails the decrypt-key as a Christmas present.

Anyone who doesn't think there's a concerted effort out there to get Assange should pay attention to pseudo-feminist, Jaclyn Friedman.

Yes, I'm going out on a limb attacking a supposed feminist, but there's something really obsessive about the way she goes after anyone who supports Assange, as a rape enabler.

What's more interesting is that she is published through Seal Press, part of the Perseus Books Group, which is part of the Perseus, LLC portfolio.

As we all know (those of us enlightened ones), Perseus, LLC is the American address for American Friends of Bilderberg, Inc., whose directors include: Henry Kissinger, Richard Perle, David Rockefeller, Jessica Mathews, etc.

990 tax forms never lie?  One hopes....

Their roster of feminista authoris isn't exactly mindblowing, but the Perseus Books Group overall roster is exceedingly neocon and neolib.

Yes ... I heard Friedman on Democracy Now today and one really wonders what her real agenda is. She referred to Assange as a "powerful white male," suggesting to me she harbors some strong grudges to white males, yet her vehemence regarding Assange and her failure to look at the larger picture certainly suggest there is more than some psychological agenda with her. Reading about her connections with Bilderburg confirms my sense of a hidden agenda on her part.

Interesting, thanks. So, Microsoft gave more than el-cheapo GS?

Follow for a moment, Robert "we-don't-need-no-stinking-GlassSeagallact" Rubin.....  the CEO GS; Sec Treasury; ejected himself just before the crash; immediately plopped at Citibank; Citi then needed the most TARP, and other banks were forced to take TARP to hide magnitude of Citi troubles and prevent a run.

Now? Co-Chariman of CFR and a star at the last Bilderberg meeting in Barcelona. You'd think a loser like that would be exiled instead of rewarded. Nope, just did his job well. You couldn't make it up for a Grisham novel.

Why is it that conspiracy nuts always are more intelligent than everyone else... only they see the truth...

There are conspiracies, but the unpredictability of the results makes them all but useless nowadays. Greed and ego are indeed the culprits, coupled with a Paleo-adapted substrate. What the Powers That Be need is a radical simplification of society so they can game it with more efficiency.
