Austerity means that the same financial institutions that were bailed-out, are allowed to keep false profits, transfer the losses to the people, and then demand that assets be sold back to them to cover the "peoples" losses.
The same institutions that recieived billions and billions of bailout bucks, and transferred the debt to the nation, now advise us that "unsustainable" debt and "out of control" government spending have made our country and currency a riskier investment.
