Bin Had

George Washington's picture

Preface: You can either
dismiss all of the allegations in the first part of this post as nutty
conspiracy theories, or decide that they are real and that I am using
parody. Your choice. Either way, it is clear that we've been had ...

Forget that Bin Laden likely received CIA training and support in fighting against the Russians in Afghanistan. See this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this and this.

Forget the allegations by France's oldest and second-largest newspaper that a CIA agent met with Bin Laden two months before 9/11, and the claim by a former FBI translator that Bin Laden worked with the CIA right up until 9/11.

Forget that 9/11 was entirely foreseeable, and that government more or less heard the 9/11 hijackers' plans from their own mouths.

Forget that Dick Cheney was in charge of all counter-terrorism exercises, activities and responses on 9/11 (see this Department of State announcement, this Department of State announcement, this CNN article and this essay), and that:

Forget that governments from around the world admit that they carry out false flag terrorism to justify their political goal.

Finally, forget that the U.S. could easily have captured Bin Laden in 2001 or 2007, but chose not to do so.

Bin Had

Ignoring the above, it is still obvious that we've been had.

Specifically, only 5 hours after the 9/11 attacks, Donald Rumsfeld said "my interest is to hit Saddam". He also said "Go massive . . . Sweep it all up. Things related and not."

And at 2:40 p.m. on September 11th, in a memorandum of discussions
between top administration officials, several lines below the
statement "judge whether good enough [to] hit S.H. [that is, Saddam
Hussein] at same time", is the statement "Hard to get a good case."
In other words, top officials knew that there wasn't a good case
that Hussein was behind 9/11, but they wanted to use the 9/11 attacks
as an excuse to justify war with Iraq anyway.

Moreover, "Ten days after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, President
Bush was told in a highly classified briefing that the U.S.
intelligence community had no evidence linking the Iraqi regime of
Saddam Hussein to the [9/11] attacks and that there was scant credible
evidence that Iraq had any significant collaborative ties with Al
Qaeda"
.

And a Defense Intelligence Terrorism Summary issued in February 2002 by the United States Defense Intelligence Agency cast significant doubt on the possibility of a Saddam Hussein-al-Qaeda conspiracy.

And yet Bush, Cheney and other top administration officials claimed repeatedly for years that Saddam was behind 9/11. See this analysis. Indeed, Bush administration officials apparently swore in a lawsuit that Saddam was behind 9/11.

Moreover, President Bush's March 18, 2003 letter to Congress authorizing the use of force against Iraq, includes the following paragraph:

(2)
acting pursuant to the Constitution and Public Law 107-243 is
consistent with the United States and other countries continuing to take
the necessary actions against international terrorists and terrorist
organizations, including those nations, organizations, or persons
who planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks
that occurred on September 11, 2001
.

Therefore, the
Bush administration expressly justified the Iraq war to Congress by
representing that Iraq planned, authorized, committed, or aided the
9/11 attacks. See this.

Moreover, the torture program which Cheney created was specifically aimed
at producing false confessions in an attempt to link Iraq and 9/11: er,
the type of torture used since 9/11 was a special type of torture specifically aimed at creating false confessions:

And see this.

As American historian, investigative journalist and policy analyst Gareth Porter writes this week:

Cheney and Rumsfeld were determined not to allow a focus on bin Laden
to interfere with their plan for a U.S. invasion of Iraq to
overthrow the Saddam Hussein regime.

It's not just Iraq.

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair says that Dick Cheney's vision of policy towards the Middle East after 9/11 was to re-draw the map.

Porter writes in the Asia Times:

Feith's book, War and Decision, released last month, provides excerpts of the paper Rumsfeld sent to President George W Bush on September 30, 2001, calling for the administration to focus not on taking down Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda network but on the aim of establishing "new regimes" in a series of states [including Iraq, Iran, Syria, Libya, Sudan, Somalia and Lebanon ]

There are some bad guys out there, but their importance has been greatly exaggerated to justify America's imperial ambitions. No wonder former U.S. National Security Adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski told the Senate that the war on terror is "a mythical historical narrative".

Bin Laden might have been a bad guy ... but the way his life and death have been used have been dishonest.

The Yen, and Japan, raising cash to pay for the reconstruction of the country, is already on the path of Yen appreciation and will be assisted in their efforts by the other central banks. By acting in a co-ordinated fashion they will begin to reverse the worldwide race to the bottom.

I am not totally clueless but it is pretty complex. The issues I see discussed in almost every thread are: inflation/hyperinflation/deflation, the fed, Goldmann Sachs, Silver and Gold, other commodities, the EU and the default of Portugal at the hands of the Finns, the crisis in Japan, JP Morgan, something that I think starts.

Yes, there are House resolutions that apply in Washington, DC, Puerto Rico, and other Territories but unless passed by the senate and signed by the president they do not apply in the various states.

That is why they are called resolutions instead of law.  If law then they would apply to all states and would not be called resolutions.

It is a scam!  Of course the federal judges are exempt from income tax and will kick your ass if you try to express the same rights as they have.

But Tom Cryer kicked their ass cause they could not show the law!  Got my ass kicked though cause I thought constitution offered some protection.  It does not.  Constitution was suspended in 1932 by the war powers act.  All presidents re-invoke the war powers act every two years.

Reason?  To create phoney fiat money which would be un-constitutional were it in effect.

So realize this-there is no constitution period-lip service only-up to the crooked judge.  My suggestion?  Get the hell out asap!

Biggest terror attack ever happened is on 9-11. Does this means that it was US intelligence failure or incompetent or they were part of the terror plot?

Did American Government perpetrate 9/11 on itself? I find it very hard to believe they would have taken that last step if even for the risk of what would happen to them if discovered.

However I do believe the people in power at the time had such a depraved nature that they would have been quite happy to have thousands of Americans murdered for their own ends. So I believe they had the personal capability to have citizens murdered but cannot bring myself to believe it whilst there are a variety of other more obvious and likely suspects about.

The extreme arrogance and level of corruption that runs right through America now, in finance, judiciary, regulators, congress and so forth that has been evidenced by the breathtaking destruction of middle America for their own ends, had its real origins during the previous administration, where it was they finally learned to jump the shark.

The war on terror era enabled many with access to power to go way beyond the acceptable and into the down right criminal and to make criminal acceptable and the norm. And having secured control of regulators, congress and judiciary they could in anycase perpetrate whatever they wanted in total safety.

We now see financial terrorism on the greatest scale in human history. The MBS fraud, a deliberate setting up and destruction for personal gain that involved corruption od all laws and statutes with total arrogance in the belief they would all be personally safe from accountability. The bailouts, the pumping of free money to banks, the regulators and the Fed helping the banks to corrupt all markets at will (just look at silver).

The American financial and political system has capitulated and been corrupted so deeply and broadly that it is easier and more accurate to describe America as a criminal mafioso state.

I am allowed to speak in decent,  I served this country with honor. Then I learned what 9/11 was all about, and the psy ops behind it. It's kinda like a bill called the Patriot act, this bill was designed to set up the new Police State, but if you vote against it, your not a Patriot.. Your country is being hi jacked right in front of your eyes right now and it's just sad that a high percentage don't see it. Just please wake up if you haven't already.

Do you know what our most serious National Security problem is right now? It's our debt. War fixes that.

I thought so too for a long time...with his medical condition I knew he had to be around a medical facility...I didn't think he was still in Pakistan close by though.

AQ confirmed we killed him and are pissed about it...tough shit.

Unless someone is willing to postulate that the entire AQ organization is CIA (which I said is the end result of the illogic associated with 911 conspiracy...a very long time ago...on a GW thread) this line of reasoning reaches a dead end too.

He met his final & youngest wife when she was just fifteen by the way and was just totally smitten with her...this would be the one he callously shoved in front of him to be shot in the leg before he was double tapped out of this world.

Did you ever question why no Paki police or military showed up at the compound after a bunch of helicopters landed and commandos jumped out and started shooting everyone? They claim the operation lasted 40 minutes, so I would think that the local law enforcement or military might be a bit curious.

also, why did they take away one body to give a proper burial, but leave the others lying in pools of blood? Did they not deserve a proper burial too? Since when was dumping a body in the ocean a proper Muslim burial? Now we have no pictures and no dead body. We do have a staged photo of the administration staring at a blank TV screen since they have now admitted that the helmet cams weren't working.

I would like to think that we got the big bad boogeyman too, but the constantly changing stories don't add up. All the media stories show OBL had failed kidneys and diabetes in the late 1990's. Without proper first rate medical care, people with those illnesses don't last long. My opinion is that OBL died years ago and they recently confirmed it through detainees or wiretaps.

All good questions...I'll give you my take.

"Did you ever question why no Paki police or military showed up at the compound after a bunch of helicopters landed and commandos jumped out and started shooting everyone? They claim the operation lasted 40 minutes, so I would think that the local law enforcement or military might be a bit curious."

I think they showed good sense not to, even if they were standing at arms ready to intervene on his behalf. I don't think anyones sittin around here thinkin the strike team was on an island by their self...no matter what is "officially" said. From drones to any other assets at hand...they were wise to keep their heads down.

"also, why did they take away one body to give a proper burial, but leave the others lying in pools of blood? Did they not deserve a proper burial too? Since when was dumping a body in the ocean a proper Muslim burial? Now we have no pictures and no dead body."

Well, his body is the one, they say they took. It was the object of the raid, so in and of itself that is not special. They do have themselves in a political dilemma over voyeuristicproof. It will leak eventually...a picture. As to leaving other dead muslims behind...they were left in a muslim country for muslims to bury.

I'm a little pissed tonight so I'm going to say this...they did not give Danny Pearl a religious burial...or American soldiers or other countries citizens they captured.

If it were me...I would have decapitated his ass and stuck his head on a stick in the middle of Times Square...but that's just me...right now, maybe I'll feel different tomorrow...but I kinda doubt it.

"We do have a staged photo of the administration staring at a blank TV screen since they have now admitted that the helmet cams weren't working."

That is interesting...I hadn't heard that. Where did you find that?...I would be interested in seeing that.

"I would like to think that we got the big bad boogeyman too, but the constantly changing stories don't add up. All the media stories show OBL had failed kidneys and diabetes in the late 1990's. Without proper first rate medical care, people with those illnesses don't last long. My opinion is that OBL died years ago and they recently confirmed it through detainees or wiretaps."

If you pull up a Google map of the area there is a hospital right around the corner. Looks like the perfect set up...security (such as it was) by the military academy close by and local police...medical facility for his health condition...modern conviences of a city/town instead of the media myth of a cave.

Not sure about the burial at sea either.

The next time we have the son of a reasonably competant president, who has no qualifications for the job, and wants nothing more than to be the baseball commissioner, we should make sure that he gets the job of baseball commissioner.

It's all working out great for the top banks and defense contractors ...

As nobel prize winning economist Joe Stiglitz notes:

The personal and the political are today in perfect alignment. Virtually all U.S. senators, and most...[House] representatives...are members of the top 1 percent....are kept in office by money from the top 1 percent, and know that if they serve the top 1 percent well they will be rewarded by the top 1 percent when they leave office. By and large, the key executive-branch policymakers on trade and economic policy also come from the top 1 percent. When pharmaceutical companies receive a trillion-dollar gift--through legislation prohibiting the government...from bargaining over price--it should not come as cause for wonder....Given the power of the top 1 percent, this is the way you would expect the system to work.
