USDA said it was a controlled kill in the US.

Oh regional Indian's picture

Alarm bells going off yet? Sense six-sigma about to smack us in our collective faces yet?

Is the thread-bare or a braid? Needing some context?

Well, you should be. This is why ZH is so cool. Context...

"I WANT TO BELIEVE" but it is difficult when the author of that post writes the way he does.  Twice in a fortnight-- really?

Pan, My writing style is a little staccato? Matters not.

Really. It's true.

Fish Gone Bad's picture

Looking at the crop circle of deaths in the USA, Occam's razor would make one tend to believe that the MASSIVE gulf oil spill and the MASSIVE use of dispersants had affected migrating birds.  Watch them find HUGE levels of ethylene glycol and polyethylene glycol in all the dead animals.

tmosley's picture

Ethylene glycol doesn't cause "massive internal trauma", it causes crystals to form i the brain.  PEG is not toxic.

Further, neither of those compounds were or can be used as dispersants.  What is going on with your post?

Skeebo's picture

No... falling 20 ft+ onto the ground would cause some internal trauma to a small bird though... least I would think.

ColonelCooper's picture

Now I'm not an animal phorensic scientist so I don't know how they figure this stuff out, but the internal trauma (of the blackbirds anyway) was determined to NOT HAVE BEEN CAUSED by their fall to the ground; rather that it occured prior to the fall.

Red Neck Repugnicant's picture

Well, the sky truly is falling because John Boehner just gave Michele Bachmann control over the CIA, the National Security Agency and the rest of the US intelligence committee.

*LOL*

Ethylene glycol is a component of Corexit.

pods's picture

Actually, it is propylene glycol.  Far less hazardous.  It used to be in Wonder Bread.

The biggest problem with Corexit is that it emulsifies the oil and creates a greater surface area.  Here is the MSDS:

I Am The Unknown Comic's picture

ah yes, propylene glycol replaced ethylene glycol as the major component of antifreeze, didin't it?  Perfectly safe to drink or eat?: I don't think so....read the label on your antifreeze...

funny thing about propylene glycol and ethylene glycol is that there is such an abundance of it in Galveston, Texas as it is a major byproduct of petroleum fractional distillation.  I mean, man, millions of pounds of this toxic shit is produced daily in order to make gasoline.  What the hell is a big industrial oil refinery to do with all this shit?  Well, I'm told that they used to dump in directly into the ocean back in the old days.....

Some people say the more things change the more they remain the same...

I still want to know why many of the fish were found with their eyes blown out....

I've not yet bought into the BP oil spill catastrophe theory, but it is a working theory.

Missing_Link's picture

That wouldn't make sense.  There's no way that would make all the birds die at the exact same moment.

Really, there's a far simpler explanation.  Large UFOs have cloaking fields that make it impossible for anyone to see them, birds included.

A Nanny Moose's picture

+1. Thanks for the lol. Sadly, it may be the most plausible explanation I've read yet

I have no official opinion on this phenomena, but I do like the lyrics to this song:

That's great, it starts with an earthquake, birds and snakes, an aeroplane - Lenny Bruce is not afraid.

Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn,
world serves its own needs, dummy serve your own needs.
Feed it off an aux speak,, grunt, no, strength,
The ladder starts to clatter with fear fight down height.

Wire in a fire, representing seven games, a government for hire and a combat site.
Left of west and coming in a hurry with the furies breathing down your neck.
Team by team reporters baffled, trumped, tethered cropped.
Look at that low playing! Fine, then.

Uh oh, overflow, population, common food, but it'll do.
Save yourself, serve yourself. World serves its own needs, listen to your heart bleed dummy with the rapture and the revered and the right - right.
You vitriolic, patriotic, slam, fight, bright light, feeling pretty psyched.

It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

ORI the circles in the Australian floods are made by the tyres of a central pivot irrigation system. These are used very commonly across Australia due to the size of the land and number of large co'ops owning significant properties. Furthermore, you do not have to look back far in Australia to see the last time it flooded. Australia is a very large and flat country for the most part, especially in the primary agricultural areas.

We also had a plague of locusts earlier this year but this also happens routinely when dry weather finally breaks after a deal of rain.

Birds that travel in large flocks also fall from the sky more often than you would think when farmers lay poison to stop them raping their crops.

Not sure what you are trying to achieve with your blog post but it seems designed to simply confuse and spread panic based on a number of vague and abstract musings.

Criminal ship captains also dump waste routinely into the world's oceans that kills marine life.

Sure many of these occurrences are likely induced by men however there is little to suggest a conspiracy theory supporting it.

What possible benefit or endgame are you trying to achieve writing such things? You write quite eloquently on your blog based on the couple of articles I just read but your attention seems misguided.

4xaddict, thanks for the insight. i was wondering what those big circles were.

To your point about why I write what and how I do, please see here:

I see us at the end of a series of cycles bottoming put together:

And have been given a 'key" to help:

I come and "haunt" ZH because like all people of my ilk, there is a tendency to talk to the most un-receptive audience for one's ideas. i've found great connects here and understand that to some my POV is disturbing, to others meaningless and to a few, full of meaning.

One person wrote to me today (bright young guy) saying my blog was black and white ambrosia to him. An awesome lady, an incisive writer herself, wrote and said she was glad she had lived long enough to read something I'd written.

So I keep on writing, trying to weave this massive tapestry into some graspable context.

Look forward to your response.

Ori, I just read your suggested pieces and the imbedded links to others. I think you are coming from a much more complex place than writer of the original article ;). Having read further your piece has gained more context. Didn't mean to be rude before but without context I mistook your post for some of the tinfoil hat rantings that turn up on here much to my chagrin :)

I will stop by and post on your blog a bit later. I don't claim to have answers but am interested to share how I maintain perspective in the current environment. Will be interested in your thoughts.

4X,

Thanks for taking the time and I'll look forward to further interactions.

By the way, many here probably slot me firmly in the tin-foil brigade ;-) It's a hat I wear comfortably though.

This is not as uncommon as the media and now ZH are leading everyone to believe. It brings to mind the shark scare a few years back when there were two more shark attacks than the average six that year. Media grabbed it and off to the scare races. Here we go again.

akak's picture

Yeah, really ---- I mean, what are two more sharks in the ocean in one year, when Wall Street and the Fed are inhabited by literally THOUSANDS of them --- and they are hungry, and smell blood, and WE are the tuna!

These are YET AGAIN extra deaths of Fish and Birds:

http://www.hln.be/hln/nl/2661/Bedreigde-Dieren/article/detail/1204288/2011/01/06/Nu-ook-mysterieuze-massale-vissterfte-op-drie-plaatsen.dhtml

All the cases are the same, birds falling from the skies in massive ammounts, and massive fish dying. Just look to the pictures in the link.

The fish seemed to have died of "cold-water stress"

A suddenly high drop in temperature of the water.

And for every fish that washes ashore, a 100 don't.

trav7777's picture

whatever, man.

The truth, folks, is that the GODS ARE ANGRY with us.  They are; it's clear and plain and obvious.  Only morons don't get it.  We have totally fucked up and they are punishing us now.

The ONLY way out of this is for us to offer a sacrifice to them.  Of politicians and bankers.  We may have to keep sacrificing until the birds stop dying.

downrodeo's picture

I agree, but don't you think they would want a sacrifice that is a bit less tainted?

On the other hand, we could use them as garnish.

I will say, I like where your head is at.

"I WANT TO BELIEVE"

Facts
It is not about "believing"... It is about examining the facts.

Belief and Facts Are Polar Opposites
The propagandised Amerkican public NEEDS TO BELIEVE, hence the myriad of Myth Narratives the sheeple follow. They can not engage in logically valid reasoning of the facts...

Even if the facts were a box of donuts and you hit the Amerikan public in the head with it...

Was that better than a "fortnight" euphemism pan-the-ist?

"USDA said it was a controlled kill in the US."

The fact Cheney was spotted in everyone of these geographical locations, with his shotgun, would confirm this.  Of supporting note, the number of lawyers shot was up in these areas as well.

goldman must be long birds.

SheepHerder's picture

Google allows for a search function that you can set the dates where you want your results to fall in between.  A quick search of dead birds and fish, show that this is not a new phenomenon.  In Jan 2009, 5000 birds dropped from the sky in New Jersey.  In June 2009, 500 birds dropped in Australia.  In September 2006, 1600 birds washed up on the coast of Alaska.  There's a ton of articles like this.  And I'm sure there's a ton of articles similar for fish.

The media frenzy seems to be similar to when you buy a new car, and suddenly it seems like you see the car you bought everywhere you drive.  The truth is, everybody didn't run out and get your car, you just started paying attention to look for that specific car.  I think the MSM has been doing the same thing.  I mean the bumblebee population has been diminishing for years now, and yet I haven't seen the same theories of the end being near come from the occurence.

While I think we are destroying the humans ability to live on earth, I tend not to buy into all the hype about the Apocolypse, HAARP, and any other seemingly extravagant theories.  I also think a collective negative and fearful mindset is very unproductive if humanity is to continue to evolve.  No solutions to the immense problems we face are likley to be created from fear and all the doom and gloom prophesying.

jus_lite_reading's picture

Let me share just one conclusion that I have seen repeated in numerous studies- there is something MAJOR, something epic occuring on this planet and our leaders are not saying what so as not to cause mass panic. That thought alone is frightening...

I am surprised that no bible thumper has not seized the opportunity yet to craft some religious story, ten plagues or something like that...

Had a decent old plague of locusts in Victoria, (Aus) recently, now there's floods of epic proportions in Queensland (Aus). They're coming..... and hell's coming with them.

who, the England cricket team?

A Nanny Moose's picture

I was in on vacation in southern Utah (around Zion NP) a few years back. The trees were dying from bark beetle infestation, and the air was thick with locusts. The roads were covered with dead locusts, so that the stripes were no longer visible. It was looking pretty biblical.

Green Leader's picture

We are living the days prophesized in the 1st chapter of the Book of Joel. I have been studying and watching the skies, nature, the chemtrails, all the contamination. Joel 1 describes a destruction of nature & agricultural production by a powerful army while people 'go about their business':

1 The word of Yahweh that was addressed to Joel son of Pethuel.

2 Listen to this, you elders; everybody in the country, attend! Has anything like this ever happened in your day, or in your ancestors' days?

3 Tell your children about it and let your children tell their children, and their children the next generation!

4 What the nibbler has left, the grown locust has eaten, what the grown locust has left, the hopper has eaten, and what the hopper has left, the shearer has eaten.

5 Wake up, you drunkards, and weep! All you wine-bibbers, lament for the new wine: it has been snatched from your lips.

6 For a nation has invaded my country, mighty and innumerable, with teeth like a lion's teeth, with the fangs of a lioness.

7 It has reduced my vines to a desolation and my fig trees to splinters, stripped them and broken them down, leaving their branches white.

8 Mourn, as a virgin-bride in sackcloth for the bridegroom of her youth!

9 Cereal offering and libation are lost to Yahweh's Temple. The priests, the ministers of Yahweh, are in mourning.

10 The fields are ruined, the land is in mourning, for the grain has been ruined, the new wine has failed, of olive oil only a trickle.

11 Stand dismayed, you farmers, wail, you vinedressers, for the wheat, for the barley! The harvest of the fields has been lost!

12 The vine has withered, the fig tree wilts away; pomegranate, palm tree, apple tree, every tree in the countryside is dry, and for human beings joy has run dry too.

13 Priests, put on sackcloth and lament! You ministers of the altar, wail! Come here, lie in sackcloth all night long, you ministers of my God! For the Temple of your God has been deprived of cereal offering and libation.

14 Order a fast, proclaim a solemn assembly; you elders, summon everybody in the country to the Temple of Yahweh your God. Cry out to Yahweh:

15 'Alas for the day! For the Day of Yahweh is near, coming as destruction from Shaddai.'

16 Has not the food disappeared before our very eyes? Have not joy and gladness vanished from the Temple of our God?

17 The seeds shrivel under their clods; the granaries are deserted, the barns are in ruins, because the harvest has dried out.

18 Loudly the cattle groan! The herds of oxen are bewildered because they have no pasture. The flocks of sheep bear the punishment too.

19 Yahweh, to you I cry: for fire has devoured the desert pastures, flame has burnt up all the trees in the countryside.

20 Even the wild animals pant loudly for you, for the watercourses have run dry, and fire has devoured the desert pastures.
