"The Birds": Mapping The Global Mass Animal Deaths Graveyard

Tyler Durden's picture

If you are not worried about the recent explosion in mass deaths of animal in "isolated" locations, you may be after seeing this map presenting the pan-global graveyeard of inexplicable mass deaths, which far from isolated, are literally taking the world by storm. Did the Mayans forget to carry the zero?

OMG!  Have you read about the thousands of people that have died while just driving in cars.  All clustered around...roads.  Kind of eerie, isn't  it? Someone should take the time to map it all out.

I had a look at the three sites in the UK.  "Scores of fish" (what does that mean, 30 - 40) are reportedly dead in a residential area near Peterborough. Maybe someone had the pump switched off on his aqharium. "Hundreds of fish" are supposedly dead in a canal in Wales, although I don't suppose the reporter from the local paper which ran the story actually went out and counted them in the snow.  Hundreds of fish isn't a big deal.  Anglers probably pull more than that out every week anyway. Finally we have "hundreds of fish" dead in a frozen pond in a park in Liverpool.  Sounds plausible to me.

Or you could blame it all on a top secret weapons test.

The whole thing sounds like another government scare tactic to distract the sheeple from their economic plight. This is the sequel to the phony BP oil spill that made everyone believe the oceans would be swallowed up by oil.

This charade is a bit more clever. Eventually USGS, NASA, and NOAA will trot out a group of scientists who will tell everyone that the Earth's magnetosphere has become unstable and is messing with the migratory patterns of birds and fish.

I urge everyone not to automatically panic, as that is what the elite would love. There is no impending disaster. The world isn't coming to an end. You can put away your Bible. The apocalypse isn't here. You're being deceived...again!

I have no idea why I'm commenting, but here goes.

Here's the thing about multiple societies using 2012.  One ancient group of smart star-watchers says, "hey, look at this! the Heavens are a cycle." (orbits).  They chart it out.  They didn't have TV or video games or even books, what else were they going to do when they weren't building pyramids or harvesting?

Then other societies say, "hey, they have a calendar that's similar to ours.  2012 and all."

then some french guy who knows all this but doesn't know he knows it throws a couple predicitons out there that include this underlying seed.  Ya see, information did get around before the internet.  It was told by people who travelled.  think whisper down the lane but over centuries.

next thing you know we dumbasses who think we're the smartest humans that ever walked the earth look back and say, "how can this be that all of these different places have coincidental conclusion?!"

I'll take something like this map seriously if you take out everthing below 500 plus species deaths, throw in some explanation as to why, and cart it over 100 years for statistical significance.

2012 is very explainable, very benign, and very boring.  I just wonder what the next date will be?

oh, and solar activity is slowing, a magnetic reversal is by rule of physics, impossible, and Lee Harvey acted alone.

All that being said, I still have my physical silver, cans of soup, water, fire arms, seed, and my plan to buy land.  so call me the pot or the kettle.

Is this another case of something that happens often but never gets mass attention?  I mean, it should be looked into, but is there really a reason to believe it's an anomaly?

Imagine if tomorrow the mass media picked up all the stories about police abuse and ran them in front of everyone's eyes.  There'd be street protests tomorrow.  But because they run cover for the mafia, people are largely ignorant of the abuse.  It's all a matter of what is thrust in people's faces and how often.

If they were canaries I'd worry. I like canaries.

Blackbirds flock and make a huge racket and mess. People use fireworks to scare the flocks away. I would aim at them too. The boys in AR probably overdid it. It would cause traumatic internal injuries, so would the sudden deceleration. Never knew what hit 'em. Round up the usual rednecks.

Mass fish and reptile kills were seen in the Southern Hemisphere near the equator 6 months ago in Ecuador, Bolivia, Brazil, and Peru due to weeks/months of record cold. Hundreds of people died of the cold in Peru. It even snowed in Buenos Aires. Record cold in the Southeast USA probably did the same thing to some fish that aren't suited. It's Darwin laughing at Al Gore.

Here's another explanation...

This happens all the time.. it's just that it happened in one town hit the main stream media, they realized people loved reading about it and then found all the die-offs that happen constantly around the world and turned it into some kind of global apocalypse...  They did the same after the spat of high profile earthquakes too, around Haiti...

I clicked on the google map above for the Florida mass kill and it was manatees. It is normal for them to die in this very cold weather we have had down here. How many more "mass kills" are like this. Having said that, there are a lot of unaswered questions about the bird kills. #1. Were they fying and fell out of the sky? Or were they found dead on the ground and assumed to have fallen?

Thu, 01/06/2011 - 11:04 | 852381 papaswamp
papaswamp's picture

Yes it is...what is abnormal is the low temperatures in FL causing the deaths. Bird and fish kills do occur naturally...but the frequency lately seems a bit alarming...coupled with the long term decline of many reptilian, amphibian and bumble bee (I don't count honey bees since they are non-native to US) populations makes me think something is amiss. Cross species mass die offs have occurred in the past (geological records), but the assumption was it was due to some obvious global cataclysm. The possibility is that it could be something far less obvious.

Looking at the global map, it seems like most of the die-offs are in the United States.

A case of the chickens coming home to roost?  You know, Monsanto, Mycoplasm (think CFS, MS, etc.) invented by the US Army, BP (39% owned by US), Goldman Sucks, etc.

(On December 1, 1963, Malcolm X stated that he saw President John F. Kennedy's assassination as a case of "The chickens coming home to roost.")

And the "Reverend" Jeremiah Wright stated "G*# America" and that America's "chickens are coming home to roost."  What is the connection between Malcolm X here?  Are you saying that he was warning us that Kennedy was in bed with Monsanto (as well as MM and about 100 other women)?  What is the connection in all of this?

Are you that dumb?  Just kidding!  =;^)

That quote was spoken by Malcolm X.  So what I am saying is that maybe all this sudden mass animal die-off, especially concentrated in the U.S., is due to America's karma of all the bad things it has done and is doing to the environment and people around the world, i.e., GMO "foods," the mycoplasm (no-cell virus or prion) invented by the U.S. Army specifically to target the Western female population, etc., etc.

The Chinese are bieng sent lots of money through the system and have accummulated trillions ready for mass immigration.....the hypothesis goes on.

Anyway I am sober now and it still doesn't make sense :-( and rather worryingly I am getting emails from friends building on this hypothesis around these bizarre events.

I reckon the answer is to get more drunk and then you can't remember what you've discussed. Scary stuff.

No "tin foil" is needed to see how the government and the media promote ignorance and irrational thinking. It may be a general limitation of the human species. On my more cynical days I suspect it to be malevolantly designed.

What exactly the earth's climate will be like in 50 or 100 years is impossible to know with certainty given all the variables and complexity. Arguing about the variables and the probability of one thing happening over another does provide an inconvenient diversion from the present however.

Doubting "climate change" becomes a way to challenge all environmental concerns.

Meanwhile, scientists report thousands of species are going extinct. Amphibians, songbirds, bees, coral reefs, and bats are disappearing. The fisheries continue to be destroyed, from the codfish to the whales. The jungles are being destroyed for transient farm use and logging. The oceans are being polluted by myriad sources, from offshore drilling to offshore waste dumping.

And we pollute ourselves as well, from plastics, PCBs, and pesticides which create havoc to hormones and nervous systems.

Agricultural lands suffer desertification from misuse, and aquifers are depleted from overuse.

We coarsely subject our fellow denizens to animal feedlots and poultry factories where the filth and crowding can engender new diseases. And if that were not enough, we weaponize bacteria, viruses, and insects to be even more deadly.

We fight wars to protect the interests of the world's worst polluters. The global military is the single biggest consumer for the global petroleum industry. And of course, the global military both wastes and pollutes not just with petroleum, but with all manner of biological, chemical, and radioactive products.

So why are these "isolated" die-offs occuring?   ...  Not to worry, they are "isolated".

I love reading Dorion Sagan.  We are destroying the Earth's feedback mechanisms it has in place to deal with stresses (ie. trees will absorb more C02, oceans can absorb more C02, etc).  These things can only happen up until a limit.  I'd recommend we not try and find what that limit is, because when it is breached, changes will not be slow, they will be rapid.

Too true.  Upon overloading living systems, after we cross those key thresholds, absolutely...the pace of change will be intense, unrelenting, rapid and most likely irreversible in any sensible human time frame (for global shifts).  Once a living system crosses a threshold, into a different basin characterized by different key variables and functions, it's notoriously difficult and typically impossible to shift back.

Think rainforest shift to savannah.  Or desertification.  The impossibility of recreating the prior system, after shift occurs at a sufficiently large scale of time and space...as well as the divergent variables that characterize both systems.

Most importantly to those denying any ecological destruction or its consequences, please cite one area where we've remade a living system to be more resilient in a way that reinforces human health....within the last 500 years, say.  I'm not denying such a community might exist, I'd love to hear examples...as in almost virtually all cases, we are creating ecologies of death, which were once ecologies of life, for our species and the 10 to 100 million other extant, coresident species.

Or not.  Or not man made.  What did the ancients do to bring about the Ice Age?  What power has man to bring about change when faced with the fact that the Sun does what the Sun does regardless of man?  Seriously, there are billions things going on in the Universe that impact our daily temperatures.  Man's contribution is one of the billions.  Don't think we are so great that we dictate what the Universe does, or what Nature does, or what God does.  We are a speck.  And our time on Earth is a blip.  Better to worry about making sure your daughter can plant a seed than to worry about how mankind is destroying the Universe.

Where did I write anything about temperature or climate?  I referenced two other issues, chemical pollution and biodiversity loss.  While related, these both stand independently of whatever your belief about climate change might be.  Neither have much to do with the Sun or the other billion things going on in the Universe.  They're all about our actions, which is why I reference those rather than Climate.

And my claim has nothing to do with whether or not we're a speck.  The research indicates, relatively conclusivelyl at this point, that we are a geologic force, a force of nature.  Google Paul Crutzen, Will Steffen, Erle Ellis, et. al and the "Anthropocene."  How we altered global systems, many good resources exist.  But start here - www.eoearth.org/article/Anthropocene

Regardless, my point is about us and our health.  The world will repair itself, with estimates being anywhere from 5 to 30 million years to replace the biodiversity that we're now destroying.

And my thoughts neither admit or deny the existence of God.

Yeah, we can move past the AGW or climate change debate. Most people understand that carbon credits are total BS, so there is almost no point in bringing it up. No matter who you are or what you feel about it, most can agree that it is not a good idea to wantonly pollute the planet. I mean, everybody wanted the BP oil gusher to be closed, because everybody can recognize that there is nothing good about pumping oil into the oceans. How long did it take humans to figure out that when we defecate in our drinking water, we get sick?

If we are collectively able to curtail our abuse of the environment, it may prove to be another shining moment in human development. Maybe the idea of consumption for the sake of consumption will prove to be flawed.

It could have been a sonic boom from a military jet (or "other" craft).  If it flew over as fireworks were going off the BOOM might have been dismissed as a big aerial charge going off a bit low.  There is certainly enough energy in a sonic boom from an aircraft to knock a few birds out of the sky relatively quickly.

How to trigger nutty actions by religiod loons in the year where a leading loon predicts the end times (http://www.suntimes.com/news/steinberg/3154252-452/martin-doomsday-belie...):

1. Find a very large flock of nesting blackbirds. Not hard because they make a lot of noise before they sleep and they tend to nest in the same area night after night.

2. On new year's eve (to provide cover for the fireworks), set off a homemade, commercial grade aerial salute mortar (firework) to the north (for instance) of the flock. I say "homemade" because the shell would be set to go off at a much lower altitude that a commercial shell, perhaps just over tree level.

3. As they fly to the south, away from the blast, set off several more within the airborne flock. The birds will collide with each other in panic and the shock waves will damage many of them them internally. They will fly away to die elsewhere.

Fireworks were heard in at least the first event that occurred in Alabama (one of your size 52 bible belt states). The next bird death event was in Louisiana, another XXXL bible belt state. All of these occurred after a mass fish kill in Alabama that could have been just a natural event or caused by a few small homemade depth charges that no one would have heard dropped into large schools of the breed of fish found dead located in still pools along the river using the very inexpensive small sonar units which many fishermen have.

Once (nearly) everyone is fooled by the clustered events into paying attention to bird and fish die-offs worldwide, what are extremely common occurrences suddenly become a suspicious series of events.

Get a clue, people. >>> Even if this chain of events wasn't intentionally started and is just an unusual cluster <<<, the "attention bias" caused by mass media attention to a small cluster of local events leads to an incorrect conclusion that something unusual is going on. There isn't...

So, in your opinion, a plot to coordinate mass wildlife die-off using modified fireworks as weapons in order to drive the masses into thinking the world is ending isn't unusual?

Gee wiz, I'd hate to see your idea of what is unusual...

I'm not saying that this _was_ what was done and believe that such a thing definitely should not be done considering how many apocalyptic LOONS there are in the world as well as the number of people who would benefit financially or otherwise from manipulating these easily manipulated idiots. I'm just saying that it is doable, there are those who would benefit from it, and there are obviously PLENTY of loons in the world who would key in on it. And it would not be at all unusual as you can find such operations throughout history. Just because those operations were typically carried out by governments doesn't mean that some large movement of loons and/or people desiring to rile those loons couldn't do the same.

"it would not be at all unusual as you can find such operations throughout history"

I'll give you that much. I suppose mine was more of a semantic disagreement, but to each their own. On the other hand, I still don't think that fireworks can explain everything, but I honestly don't know what happened. Most of what has been written on this thread is empty speculation, some of it does employ a bit of thought though. I predict that 2011 will be more interesting than previous years.

Something is going on and it should be of concern.  The 5,000 plus birds who died in mid flight and the next day (or could have been the same day, it wasn't found until the next day), 100,000 fish 125 miles from the birds are found dead and washed up to shore.  And then we are having the rest of these die offs.  It's either something to do with the shifting of the North and South poles or someone is testing something.
