Botox Diffusion Alert: Pelosi Statement On October Jobs Report
"Today's job numbers are difficult news, surpassing 10 percent unemployment. They remind us that more work must be done before American families and businesses see job gains and a drop in unemployment. Taking action to create jobs continues to be our most urgent and pressing priority.
"Congress has taken critical -- and necessary -- steps to protect the middle class and set the stage for economic growth. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act has created or saved nearly 1 million jobs so far, and our rescue efforts have placed the financial system on firmer footing. Today, President Obama will sign legislation the House passed yesterday that extends unemployment benefits for those hardest hit by the economic downturn, expands the first-time homebuyer tax credit, and provides tax cuts for American businesses -- giving a lifeline to those out-of-work and helping to create American jobs with the multiplier effect these measures have on our economy. And making health care affordable for American families and businesses will help them invest in our economy, which will generate jobs.
"The results of these investments in our families and workers are starting to emerge. After watching an average of 673,000 jobs disappear in the final three months of the Bush Administration, the 190,000 jobs lost in October are fewer than the jobs lost in September. [At a cost of $9 trillion, but what is quadrillion between propagandamongerers]. But we must do more. While the last three months saw our gross domestic product grow for the first time since the recession began in 2007, economists predict that the unemployment rate will increase slightly in the coming months before American businesses begin rehiring.
"Statistics mean little for those who have lost a job, taken a pay cut, or watched their loved ones searching for work. Congress will continue to work every day on new and innovative approaches to expanding the job market, and do everything in our power to put Americans back to work."

I hesitated to open this article, given the title of "Botox" and "Pelosi" I was afraid to be greeted by her unimaginably horrific mug, but was relieved by your prescience in not assaulting us with her picture.
That's unpossible. She crammed 471 lies into a 326-word press release.
She's using compound words,,, I thought something was fishy...As did you.. Thats what I call double speak... Alright, Alright I'll stop...
P.S I'm with you, No picture is worth a thousand words.
credit for finding 2 easter eggs?

CONgress is bought and paid for by special interests. Of course there is one very simple way to fix the system - take all private money out of politics. Set an amount of public money that gets allocated to each candidate for their campaigns (everyone gets the same), set a maximum total comp for each (including all benefits), prohibit elected officials from receiving ANY money or benefits of any kind from private interests at any time while in office.
THAT would solve everything. Then elected officials would be forced to represent the people who voted for them.
Yes but you also have to deal with the brain washing power that msm has over america.
Plow under the crops! Burn all the inventories! Close off the borders, and ground all the planes! We have Americans to put to work! Don't tax the rich, burn their houses down, force them to build new ones and don't let them hire a single Mexican day laborer in the process. (h/t Lou Dobbs) Pass some new legislation making it illegal for road construction workers to use machines to fill potholes, so that we can hire more union laborers. Lending money at interest? Why should someone who does nothing but count paper all day get paid for that while we need something to keep that sixpack in the fridge, and the extra car off cinder blocks? Not to mention the 42" flat screen TV in the living room (which should have HD service but we can't afford it so Paul Shaffer's Head looks even MORE misshapen than it really needs to while we're all watching Letterman rip on Ron Paul at night.)
What happened with Ron Paul?
haha, nothing. letterman is just my straw man for the media. I guess I'm not as funny as I thought.
I don't give a shit who was in office when. You are either helping, hurting or doing nothing. This administration has taken what was a bad situation and made it worse. Pointing the finger at this point, while U6 is at 17.5%, can at best be described as juvenile.
On Pelosi and Obama's tombstones, they will have "It was Bush's fault" carved into them.
I don't have a problem with including Bush in the malfeseance, but it appears this administration and Congress are determined to not put on their Big Boy Pants and be honest about the lack of success their efforts have had so far.
Although, to be fair, I don't think Christine Romer is going to be stupid enough to make another prediction on unemployment figure tracking when the second "stimulus" gets passed.
Agreed. 2,019,000 jobs lost in the last 3-months of a lame-duck Presidency with a Democrat controlled Congress.
3,485,000 jobs lost in the first 9-months of the Obama Presidency with a dominant majority in both Houses.
Nancy, you and the President own this shitstorm now.
As for Christina (pass the stimulus and unemployment will peak just under 8 percent in 2009) Romer: She should be the next one on the unemployment line.
A footnote in her report entitled "The Job Impact of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan" cites "private forecasters [that] anticipate unemployment rates as high as 11% in the absence of action."
I don't put much credence in any of her figurin', but 11% with no stimulus, vs 10.2% with $787 bln queued up to be spent... I'll take the slightly higher unemployment and avoid the huge increase to the deficit and all the negatives that implies.
"Congress has taken critical -- and necessary -- steps to protect the middle class
Stop, your helping me to death!!!!
I hope Biden comments on unemployment - that would be a hoot.
Speaking of Pelosi, the financial oligarch closest to her heart - Wells Fargo announces they are stuffing those nasty inhereted Pick a pay mortgages (option ARM) into new and improved interest only!
Wait a second... that didn't work out to well the last time around.
but that's ok, this allows Wells to defer losses for half a decade and by then everything shuold be fine in the economy and Ben will have inflated pricex to 2006 x 1.84%

Boo yah
Ahhh yes Wachovia! What??
Is it me, or are banks and government mortgage agencies becoming nothing more than landlords over a vast collection of rental properties that no one can afford to buy?
If so, bank employees would do well to learn plumbing or roofing skills.
"Hello Wells? My toilet is backing up again, can you send a plumber?"
And what sort of dead end jobs are they talking about?
Not the same level at the banksters of course.
Better to pile on debt and don't pay it back.. that's what they did and they are okay aren't they!
This is the one thing that keeps running through my head when I hear Pelosi, Obama or Harry Reid speak:
"I tried to be pleasant and accommodating but my head began to hurt from his banality. I almost didn't notice it had happened but I suddenly threw up all over him. He was not pleased. And I couldn't stop laughing..."
-John Doe from Seven
PeLoLsi: "While the last three months saw our gross domestic product grow for the first time since the recession began in 2007..."
I guess Q2 08 doesn't count for her cuz Obama wasn't in the White House.
Office shooting in Orlando...*former* employee opens fire....unemployment drops to 10.1
So that's how that layoff commercial really ends.
Employer: "...I've been going through the numbers and we have to let someone go."
Ex-employee:"...No disagreement here, just different numbers."
I think this number is a strong sign that QE 2.0 hidden behind Stimulus 2.0 is coming. That's why the unemployment number was not played with and the markets did not react to it.
89% of statistics are made up on the spot.
Now I could be wrong about this but...
BLS says there are 15.7 million unemployed by U3 at 10.2% unemployment rate...
Of course all those who exhausted their unemployment insurance are no longer counted as unemployed by U3... even though they are obviously still unemployed by U-Reality measure...
So simple math tells us 15.7 at 10.2% means the work force being counted is 153.9 million, although that seems high to me... Oh yeah, the Alzheimer's puppet Reagan added military personnel to civilian employment in 1982 to dilute and lie about the unemployment rate in the Reagan '82 recession... anyway...
What about the 824,000 jobs BLS has added to the EMPLOYMENT numbers by the Birth/Death Ratio that BLS admits were overstated (read: don't exist)?
The BLS says they will remove those 824k jobs they added in 2009 that don't exist in February 2010.
Since BLS announced this last month (?), they have already added them to 2009, let's subtract them and put them back where BLS shaved them off of.
So: 15.7 + .824 = 16.5 million unemployed.
Based on 153.9 million in the work force as above, by U3, I come up with 10.7% unemployment.
Am I wrong anywhere?
Yes, your mistakes started with you trying to perform actual mathematical computations. You then compounded the mistakes by using logic. WTF is wrong with you?
Oh... What's wrong with me.... I don't own a tv and I read books?
So simple math tells us 15.7 at 10.2% means the work force being counted is 153.9 million, although that seems high to me... Oh yeah, the Alzheimer's puppet Reagan added military personnel to civilian employment in 1982 to dilute and lie about the unemployment rate in the Reagan '82 recession... anyway...
Well, he had to cover for the government intervention known as the PATCO firings. You can't just dump ~12,000 air traffic controllers and replace them w/ military personnel without some kind of cover. Doubly so if it sets a precedent that declares "open season" for such activity elsewhere.
Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A B A "start"
Rumor has it that the administration has been using that code all day to try and create even just one job.
Pelosi's Partisan Populist Propaganda is so sick. The fact that she took a shot at the Bush Administration is just embarrassing. Soon, the payrolls numbers will have to start getting even less bad - because people can only lose their job ONCE - and Pelosi will tout green shoots again.
And let's applaud the government's solution: extend unemployment benefits! Bravo - what a solution. That will solve everything until the economy magically "comes back." /sarcasm
What these bozos are overlooking is that the rate of job loss can slow but there's no Unified Economic Law of Bouncing Unemployment...
What happens if there is no more job loss, but ZERO job growth...a la stagnation?
Do they really think with the stroke of their pen they can force small biz owners to hire? Maybe if they put a gun to my head, but short of that they can't do shat. Then what?
One clarification on "Botox Diffusion"...
Diffusion would require a higher concentration of Botox from within the Pelosi Semi-Permeable Membrane than outside the Pelosi Membrane. Clearly from the looks of most politicians there is a high concentration of Botox throughout. They would have to travel to Middle America (e.g. away from either coast) before diffusion would have a prayer of working.

Pelosi is a political prostitute
SM: She is just a Prostitute and the Madam Whore of the house of ill repute!
Too little, too late.
There were no stimulus jobs, unless you count the big job done on the taxpayers.
What stimulus was about was a transfer of federal dollars to democrat state governments and public employee unions that were facing tax increases and job cuts.
Presto. Print money and the problems state and local democrats have been laboring under go away.
Bill at Calculated Risk notes:
http://www.calculatedriskblog.com/2009/11/employment-report-190k-jobs-lo...
"1Note: The total jobs lost does not include the preliminary benchmark payroll revision of minus 824,000 jobs. (This is the preliminary estimate of the annual revision that will be announced early in 2010)."
So the phony B/D Ratio jobs that don't exist have not been subtracted off.
I generally trust his stats analysis.
10.7% anyone?
Both of them are dancing cats without a clue and heartless
too.
At this point, I'd say that those who support offshoring/"body shop" outsourcing of work(as it is done now) are just as guilty. They're no help and circumventing the US only paints a larger target on them.
With >10% U3 and >15% U6, anyone saying that there is no US worker qualified for a position is in need of a reality check.
"There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies and statistics."

Sorry Nancy, the botox can't do anything for that nose of yours! The only way to help that problem is to say, " I'M A BIMBO" one hundred thousand times. At that point it will start getting smaller.

Lets see:
At this time, playing partisan politics against Bush = SAD.
Using the phrase jobs saved = BS.
The IRS taxes our unemployment lifeline = SNAFU.
Dammit Pelosi get off your ass, and address Banking regulation and FED corruption.
Since there's so much fraud in the financial system, why does everyone assume that the amount the FED purchases is actually accurate?
Is there a place that takes as many central banks and tally up their USD assets holdings and compare the changes to what was borrowed?
"Taking action to create jobs continues to be our most urgent and pressing priority."
I'm not exactly sure when it is in one's experience of Nancy Pelosi that one fully grasps she's just the most loathesome of maggots. If there is one thing that's been made abundantly clear over the last eleven months it is how the Regime's "most urgent and pressing priority" has been to accomodate the interests of its contributor paymasters. They have done nothing - repeat, nothing - of real meaning for the unemployed despite the advertizing. One day, vermin like Pelosi will look out on a sea of angry faces on every street and mall in Washington, D.C. And these masses will have their own most urgent and pressing priorities.
Pelosi's never cared about anything that didn't involve her botox treatments. If they really cared about the middle-class they'd quit screwing around and let this house of cards tumble, the sooner we get the agony & pain out of the way the sooner we can move on.
Geez this is getting old.
