Bubbles Visible in Underwater Cams
As of this moment (11:06 Eastern Daylight Time), bubbles are apparent near the blowout preventer from Hos ROV1 video cam (one of BP's official underwater video cameras) here:
| Oceaneering - ROV 2 (30948) |
And there is seepage or leakage of some kind now apparent from ROV 2's BSkandi Neptune video cam at another location here [Update: BP has now changed the view - hopefully someone captured the live video feed from earlier today]:
| BSkandi – ROV 2 (456854) bkup=45684 |
(If anyone could capture clips of these video streams, I would appreciate it.)
Florida Oil Spill Law also alleges that the following clip comes from ROV'2 Boa Deep C video cam on July 19, 2010 at 04:40 EDT:
I have seen no corroboration yet proving that this clip is real.

And so I'll say it again;
'I can't speak to the credibility of any particular poster on this forum but I will say that it is difficult for a regular guy like myself to have verifiable facts about any one subject discussed here, therefore I appreciate honest and accurate information.
Those willfully acting as tools to spread misinformation, in my opinion, are excellent candidates for shock therapy. I recommend the careless application of one of these to various parts of the body of any apprehended lying corporate tool by two large individuals who have spent time in a federal detention facility.'
Satisfying entertainment!
ar15 always there to support BP by downplaying the problem and maligning the reporter. How much are you getting paid,I ask because you seem to make a job out of defending BP. Same folks go to OILDRUM and defend BP as if their life depended on it.
Meanwhile the seriousness of this disaster evades many because of shills like AR and Augustus and a few more.
Thank you GW. You are appreciated.
Gully Foyle, nice quote. JOE VS. THE VOLCANO is a great f**king movie!
You are getting desperate George... er, rather, MORE desperate... the story is over...
You're right ... oh, wait.
OK, who farted?
Confirmed: “Methane escaping at the surface” is “bubbling through the strata” says oil expert Nieuwenhuise on CNN at 1:17pm (VIDEO)
http://www.floridaoilspilllaw.com/methane-escaping-at-the-surface-is-bubbling-through-the-strata-says-oil-expert-nieuwenhuise-on-cnn-at-120pm-video
Looks like mother Earth is making bubbles in the water, just like I did when I was a little kid and it was bath time. :>)
Seems as though there is a worst case scenario . If this is the case , will relief wells still work?
BP spokesman Doug Suttles said: "BP believes this is caused by a previously-undiscoverd species of deepwater farting fish".
</satire>
While no fun to boat, the Deepwater Fart Fish, with its flaky, tasty, white meat, makes for delicious table fare.
Ya just can't make this shit up.

GW, looks like BP's off the hook.
Well, BP's lawyers now have an air-tight defense!
Move along, nothing to see here.
Joe Banks: I have less than six months to live. The Waponis believe they need a human sacrifice or their island is going to sink into the ocean. They have this mineral your father wants so he hired me to leap into their volcano.
Patricia: What?
Joe Banks: You're not going to make me say that again, are you?
GW - that first video appears to be oil seeping from the flex joint, not good but not indicative of a wellbore failure. However (and this is just my PERCEPTION) the leakage seems a bit heavier than this morning when I first saw it. If they believe this is so rather than just my perception I'd think you'll see them open it back up.
I can't tell anything about that last video.
Can BP open the well up? Wouldn't that be illegal and criminal and in violation of strict EPA protocols? This was the discussion that Rockman at theoildrum brought up today. Neither BP nor the US government can wilfully pollute i.e. open up the well, there is no precedent for it. BP would need to get an executive order from President Obama and that might not be enough.
I suppose they could open the well if there was a hose connected to siphon off the oil onto tankers. There may be "strict EPA rules" but apparently only enforce rules on small companies, not the TBTFs.
I got a really bad feeling about this... If there is a huge pocket of oil and methane being created in the subfloor that is slowly making its way to the surface, then it's only a matter of time before the whole thing turns into a huge gusher.
Did we expect they actually had this thing under control?
Anyone else watching the crab on Hos 2?
http://mfile.akamai.com/97892/live/reflector:35461.asx?bkup=36301
HOS II is pretty focused on something
It was following a crab around for awhile. I guess it had to get back to work.
the youtube is BOA Deep C II
the first live feed is HOS MAXX ROV I
Thanks for the correction and info!
If you have QuickTime Pro (or a Mac with 10.6+), you should be able to right click on the movie and choose "Save As QuickTime Movie..." which will create a ".mov" file with whatever has been downloaded so far.
there's a flash version here, which has most of the cameras and a low bandwidth image page here
bonus - the flash version includes a live feed of the bird cleaning kitchen
The low bandwidth page is here:
http://data.plan9.de/akamai-bp-streams.html
The site you gave is just stealing the images from plan9.de
Your low bandwidth page doesn't have the view of the birds being cleaned up.
Call me a pervert (please, call me a pervert) but I like to watch the birds taking a bath. :>)
actually I think its opensource if you read the credits
Thanks, but I have Windows instead of Mac...
I beleive he was advising about using Quicktime on Windows, since a Mac doesnt have a right mouse button....(single button mouse...lol).
yes and you can't run windows on a Mac either.... welcome to 2010 my friend, the rmb on my mouse works great
