Chairsatan Bernanke - Meet President Paul?
An important advance indicator of leading conservative frontrunners for the presidency was won by Criminal Reserve archnemesis Ron Paul. The Washington Times reports: "Texas Rep. Ron Paul has won the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) 2012 presidential preference straw poll of 3,742 activists, the chairman of the huge annual gathering of conservative activists announced on Saturday. The Republican lawmaker, long a favorite of the party’s libertarian wing, took 30 percent of the votes cast, followed by Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney with 23 percent. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who has said he will not be a candidate in 2012, and New Mexico former Gov. Gary Johnson tied for third, with 6 percent of the vote. Former GOP House Speaker Newt Gingrich followed with 5 percent. Tied at 4 percent were Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels and former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty. Trailing them was former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who garnered just 3 percent of the vote." Now since the mere prospect of "President Paul" sends shivers of mortal terror down the spine of every self-respecting member of the criminal Wall Street syndicate, does this mean that in order to guarantee 4 more years of Teleprompting, JPM and GS will send the Russell to 36,000,000, the unemployment rate to -15%, and the labor participation rate to -100%, just to make sure that the peasantry is content enough and chooses 4 more years of unmitigated dollar debasement and what is rapidly becoming a weekly iPad cadence? With the popularity of American Idol plunging to record lows, the mission to brainwash America for 4 more years may be just that more difficult. Add 15% inflation and the vassals may actually stirs for once.
From the Wash Times:
The poll, sponsored this year for the first time by The Washington Times, is seen as one of the earliest tests of grassroots popularity among the party’s dominant conservative wing, and Mr. Paul, who ran unsuccessfully for the nomination in 2008, has traditionally done well in the CPAC voting.
Asked in the survey if they were generally happy with the field of GOP contenders lining up to challenge President Obama next year, 56 percent of CPAC voters said they were generally satisfied with the current crop of candidates, while 43 percent said they were not.
The announcement of the vote came at the end of the third and final day of the CPAC gathering in Washington.
This year’s event attracted a record attendance of over 11,000, and more than 3,700 attendees participated in this year’s straw poll — up more than 1,300 from a year ago.
One thing is certain: the only man in Washington who actually understands what is really going on, and is a firm believer in a return to the gold standard, has about a snowball's chance in a tokamak of taking over the country under the current status quo, where the corruption, the cronyism and the corporatism begin and end with the judicial, the legislative and the executive branches of government.

The chaos will the the time Americans choose, liberty or "security". If they choose liberty then I expect a Soviet Style breakup and many new governments popping up in NA. As far as avoiding the chaos it is coming and it cannot be stopped. Locals would try to seize power to keep their own beaks wet and stay alive. So the inherent survival instinct of our state govs might keep the Fed gov off us. And naturally some state govs are better then others.
Ok we repudiate the debt, what happens? Well first, goodbye SS and Medicare. The lock box system is a hoax, but the masses don't know that, and it would drag it into light. On an accrual basis can't keep SS and Medicare so they are gone, as is the vast war machine. As is most of the Federal funding. Oh and dollar dies. After all it's a faith based currency and repudiating the debt kills the faith.
Americans draw a huge % of their funding from the system that is killing them. emember the Fed gov spends WAY more then it takes in. If it was just a one way street cutting it off would be easy but it's not. Will all those who depends on the system for their livelihoods vote for destroying that system? It would be like asking a person to fire themselves from their cushy job because it would help someone else, some would but most would not. And repudiating debt would destroy that system as it would show the debt ponzi system for what it is. I wish people would be more forward thinking, but it's human nature to hold onto what is here, and their jobs and goodies are in the here and now. To most the debts are still something far in the distance, out of sight and mind.
The system was doomed to die in the 60s. That's where I place the point of no return. We past it decades before I was born, and now we have to live with the sins of our fathers. The host has come to love the parasite and come to depend on it as much as the parasite depends on the host. Only when the host flatlines will there be a chance for rebirth. After all what are the chances of getting politicians willing to bite that bullet before it's forced on them? Just trying to be real here. When I post I don't post what I want, I post what I see. I wish we would just man up and default, but it simply will not happen, we will be lead through the currency collapse dance.
I think you underestimate how many people are fed up with the way things are. I really don't like Ron Paul (and have received many, many junks here for articulating why), but if he's on the ballot, he'll get my vote. Everyone else is despicable, and I think a lot of people feel that way.
I wouldn't sell him short.
" Of course he wouldn't win."
America might not yet be ready for a Ron Paul just yet....but by the end of the year they might have their arms wide open for such a man. A lot of changes are coming about quickly. America is going to continue to awake from her stooper realizing just how fucked she is. Ron Paul could very well end up looking like a knight in shining armor between now and 2012.
Anything is possible, it is not likely. It is also not likely that the masses will turn off their TVs. I can assure you even if the masses start listening to Ron, they will get sidetracked. Imagine the news stories that will come out. I half expect a claim that he shot Kennedy while inventing AIDS with the last Dodo egg. We would see political skulduggery not seen in a generation. And it will be united against him, left and right in the open. That is assuming he makes it past all the plane crashes and hit teams.
Knight in shining armor, no. To win and live he would have to be the Last Son of Krypton. Don't place you're hope in one man. The best we can expect is for him to let a wider audience know how we have been brought through the gates of Hell, not save us from the Hell we find our selves. I doubt anything but ultra cheap cold fusion could avert the train wreck that is coming.
"Don't place you're hope in one man. The best we can expect is for him to let a wider audience know how we have been brought through the gates of Hell, not save us from the Hell we find our selves."
Excellent insight.
I just wanted to say Shameful that I think the thoughts you've expressed on this thread show extraordinary clarity of thought and are very well stated. I really enjoyed reading them. Thanks.
Glad to see that some are still optimistic that the Great Implosion won't happen until AFTER Nov 2012.
What would you take on an over/under of 7.5 Black people, and 39 Chicanos nationwide supporting Paul in an election against Obama?
I suppose Paul could be a useful vehicle to split the Republican party in half, creating a three-way race.
Then it could be a 4 way race. Or a 5 way race. Cynthia McKinney would wipe the floor with any of them.
She'd win in a bloodbath, on national television. And then we could be getting somewhere.
I would love to see a President Paul but realistically I don’t think it would be possible given the controlled nature of the political machine and the emphasis on blow-dried images for popular consumption.
That said there is still an opportunity for the Liberty movement to advance their agenda through Ron Paul.
So many times the establishment political machine has gamed things in advance by control of the election ticket through backstopping the nominal Presidential candidate by placing a controller in the VP part of the ticket. Think Bush/Cheney.
Perhaps it is time that the Liberty movement focus on placing their own backstop controller/trojan on an establishment ticket (as this is the game after all) at the very outset in the form of a great candidate like Ron Paul as VP.
Ron Paul brings fantastic credibility on economic issues as well as populist credibility that transcend party lines. This would broaden the tent of the most obvious front man for such a venture: Mitt Romney.
For Romney it would highlight his greatest strength and mitigate its greatest criticism: health care. Massachusetts health care reform could be portrayed at an honest attempt of universal inclusiveness from a state level initiative. With Paul on the ticket he could rightly claim (and Paul would hold him to it) that State’s rights are the priority and Obama’s health care reform would be revisited on a state by state case either by the local legislatures or by plebiscite: victory for local democracy and State’s rights.
For Paul, besides the benefits of entrenching and advancing State’s rights issues to counter federalist/globalist reach, if elected as Vice President he would have a bully pulpit in Congress as President of the Senate where he could work with his son moving forward an agenda consummated in the House by representatives effectively elected with promotion of the Paul brand.
Nice pie in the sky I guess... but long term planning is the hallmark of the establishment’s success to date. Any type of union would hinge on a clear understanding to all that the ticket is a partnership bringing reform and constitutional values back to the people where Paul’s position would be presented, promoted and guaranteed as the engine of reform that it must be and not the traditional bucket of warm spit.
i'll give Mitt a call and see what he thinks.
Dr.Ron Paul has my vote. He is a more credible Dr. than Bernanke. One a real Dr. the second a fake.
Maybe Ben should start printing College diplomas for all those that are unemployed?
We could call the new ramping up of diplomas...DIPLOMO!
1) Implication overrated. CPAc means a lot …to those attending.
2) Much as I Love the man (I campaigned for him – in two separate centuries), kinda hope he doesn't become president right now, as No ONE can keep things from getting worse for the next 5-6 years. I mean, Jesus of Nazareth couldn't fix this promptly, and the Last thing I want is for people to have an excuse to call libertarian policies "a failure".
3) That said, I will vote for him again. I'll even campaign. His moral standing just compels me.
4) Gary Johnson, of NM, is on exActly the same sheet of music. I've heard him speak, Great guy. But probably not well known enough to go up against a machine like Romney-bot.
(seriously, they kid California about having "The Governator", but Romney is way beyond him – eerily perfect hair, frozen smile – any minute I expect him to say "All your socialized medicine are belong to us now".
I have said this before, and will say it again:
What if things get so bad so quickly that Ron Paul wins the primary? What if things get worse, with all of Ron Paul's prophecies coming true? What if the elites have no choice but to blatantly steal the election for Obama when it is obvious that Ron should win in a landslide? What if they start shipping protestors off to FEMA camps?
I think Texas will secede first, most other states would quickly join, and a horde of heavily armed barbarians will ruthlessly sack New York and DC while the bulk of the military sits back and laughs. There will be some Blackwater/CIA thugs to clean up but they will be overwhelmed. Hell, maybe our flyboys will even shoot down any Gulfstream jets escaping from Sodom and Gommorah.
This is only possible if the sheeple are all broke and starving, so bring on a short, sharp collapse, and let Ron Paul benefit from the rebound!
Don't discount Kentucky! We kicked the RINO Trey Grayson to the curb [he gave up his job as Secretary of State the other day to take a job at that famous Republican University, Harvard! Payoff, no doubt. He gave his job to a Democrat - so the traitor turned over a Republican position in Commonwealth Government to a Democrat] to elect Dr. Rand Paul. I gave generously of my limited time and fortune to see it happen, as did many of my fellow Liberty Lovers in Kentucky. We do have that leftist ulcer known as Louisville, but the rest of Kentucky is in love with traditional Liberty. We most likely have more guns per capita than Texas. Don't forget we are the home of the Boones. Squire Boone had a homested in the back of what is now Fort Knox, just down the street from me.
I'm a native of KY; most of my family is still there. They too were thrilled with the Rand Paul win. Now, can you PLEASE get rid of Mitch McConnell?
Good on you; I also gave to Rand Paul. Knew he was presidential material after the whole Aqua Buddha thing. Wish this is the start of a dynasty. Paul/Paul 2012!
@Jasper M
Lulx. Awesome Zero Wing/Something Awful reference. Romney is eerily stepfordian.
Thank you, thank you; I'll be here all week.
Since the Office of President is not elected by We The People, Dr. Paul could win the support by both popular vote and required electoral and when the Electoral College meets to elect the President ... well ... let's just say that the corrupt powers will LEAN on the delegates to cast his/her vote for THEIR choice and not Dr. Paul.
There is only one solution if this were to occur...
So it begins: Italy declares emergency as thousands from North Africa flood in.

Most are Tunisians. The MSM has totally ignored what has happened since the Sidibouzid uprising, but major upheavals and confrontations with government are still going on as old guard still cling to power.
I fear but expect that Egypt's turmoil is far from over. Friday's events were simply too charming and fairytale and the gullible public bought it. For now. Generals are in charge and have only made 'promises' to change the relationship between citizens and government. Just like Tunisia, Egyptians only gained a moral victory on the first round, taking down a figurehead but not the power structure. Military rulers have a piss poor track record. But the citizens now know that they can organize and have achieved some degree of unity. The stage is set for ongoing confrontations and lots of people leaving Egypt with what money they can.
Malta, South Italy, Sicily have long been destinations for the disenfranchised of North Africa - beware that AlJazz is as unbiased as CNN
I confirm that. I went in 2000 (Sicily), place was crawling with them. Despite the fact they got no respect from the locals.
I saw on Al Jazeera this evening interviewing the Egyptian wealthy bourgeois, are shaking in their boots about what is going to become of their lifestyles. You don't see that kind of coverage on US MSM.
yeh they are scared because they see their way of life dissolving right before their eyes. yeh they took sustainence from the beast, the status quo and they enlarged the sizes of their bank accounts at the expense of others not so fortunate. they took what they could while the beast was in charge. but now the beast is in a state of fluidity and it scares them to no end. the reason is simple. while they looked the other way, while they played a game of pretend, while they made money hands over foot, and sat at the table of the beast, their brothers and sisters were rounded up, beaten , jailed and killed , all without cause and without warrant, many to never be heard from again. they knew full well this stuff was going on. they sat still while the jews came over and made deals advantageous to themselves at the expense of their brothers and sisters, at the expense of their native land, egypt and even during this, they said nothing and just got along to get along. well now the street is owned by the people and the time is coming soon perhaps for revenge. there is a old saying in the middle east. revenge is best when it is served up cold. there is a old saying in amerika. paybacks are a mother fucker and believe me, the time is coming when the memories of the people in the street will be pricked and they will begin to remember who did what and then, it will be time for retribution and payback to these traitors. when i see it happen there, i will be thinking of here and how it should happen here, only so much more so.
Believe it or not Trump has a better chance at winning a Presidential bid than Ron Paul.
Voting for Ron Paul would be like voting for your school principal or headmaster to be President.
Voting for The Donald would be like voting for the captain of the football team to be President.
And RobotTrader is the guy that just goes along so he doesn't get beat up by the football team rather than do what is right after watching the gang rape of the cheerleader (USA).
+ a snookie hair piece ;-)
I figured its about time for Robo to hit the bricks and go cruise north hollywood searching for his hoochie momma date for the night.
@Robo
LOL. I'll put $1000 on THAT bet. TD can be the clearing agent for us. Game on?
But with what the Bernank is doing, that's really only a $100 bet by the time of the election...
what? no chart?
Paul should be running the Fed. Obama vs Trump would be interesting. Trump is a TV star very important unfortunetly. He wants to slap tarriffs on imports so far so good.
In a rigged system I like Paul's chances. Give Paul the Presidency, let him tinker with the Fed, implode the dollar, blame Paul, install new fiat central bank. Sounds like a plan.
well that's another way to think of it...hope your wrong but might be an effective tool to stomp the rise in austrian school of thought
This isn't the first time someone has tried to audit the Fed, you know.
In 1933, Congressman Louis T. McFadden of Pennsylvania gave a blistering condemnation on the floor of the House of the "dark crew of financial pirates who would cut a man's throat to get a dollar out of his pocket" and introduced a petition for Articles of Impeachment for " numerous criminal acts, including but not limited to, CONSPIRACY, FRAUD, UNLAWFUL CONVERSION, AND TREASON." and called for an audit, making it clear that the " and "This is an era of misery" and "financed crime" "for which the fed is liable."
If anyone was in any doubt he made it clear "the private credit monopolies were deceitfully and disloyally foisted upon this Country by the bankers who came here from Europe and repaid us our hospitality by undermining our American institutions"
The document states that "The petition for Articles of Impeachment was thereafter referred to the Judiciary Committee and has YET TO BE ACTED ON."
I guess the maybe the thrill was kind of gone and they forgot all about the audit after Congressman McFadden's untimely death a mere three years later, after two previous attempts on his life recounted at the end of the document:
Commenting on Former Congressman Louis T. McFaddens's "heart-failure sudden-death" on Oct. 3, 1936, after a "dose" of "intestinal flu," "Pelley's Weekly" of Oct. 14 said:
Now that this sterling American patriot has made the Passing, it can be revealed that not long after his public utterance against the encroaching powers of Judah, it became known among his intimates that he had suffered two attacks against his life. The first attack came in the form of two revolver shots fired at him from ambush as he was alighting from a cab in front of one of the Capital hotels. Fortunately both shots missed him, the bullets burying themselves in the structure of the cab.
"He became violently ill after partaking of food at a political banquet at Washington. His life was only saved from what was subsequently announced as a poisoning by the presence of a physician friend at the banquet, who at once procured a stomach pump and subjected the Congressman to emergency treatment."

Run Ron Run!
Now Duck!
Trump is already running, in the back channels of pre-candidacy. He's testing the waters, seeing what kind of people and how much money he can marshall. He's also testing out his soundbites and figuring out the basics.
If he runs officially his strongest opposition will be Sarah Palin. Watch out, Donald! Running as a NYC old style 'liberal Republican' with neo-con leanings isn't quite the sexy ticket it once was. Redneck MILFS with tea are way sexier.
Trump has way too much baggage. How many times has his NJ casinos gone bankrupt? Not to mention all the busted real estate deals that have his name on them. And the social conservatives aren't going to vote for him.
I have been a RP fan for years, so I decided to attend CPAC this year. My takeaways...
Ron Paul should not run for president. He simply can't win. I love the man and his philosophies, but he has always been a bit of a goof on stage. His ideas are often brilliant, but his delivery and stage presence are terrible, and in a media-driven election world, I have to, unfortunately, agree with The Donald (who sucked) that he is unelectable. He will be labeled a crazy old man, and when you watch him jump around from topic to topic during a speech, it's easy to see why that label would stick.
It is better for him to serve as the Grand Old Sage of the Tea Party movement. Let him communicate through the written word and the occasional moment on stage to inspire his younger followers, but save the space on the ballot for someone who can reach beyond the relatively small, but vocal, admiring throng.
Of the people I saw at CPAC, two stand out. One, perhaps unsurprisingly, is his son Rand. His overall presence on stage is stronger, and he avoids the age issue that would be a real handicap for Ron. I was impressed with him, although he still has some rough edges that would be a problem in a national election. He is honest, blunt, clear spoken, and forthright, but in an age of YouTube gotcha, that kind of bluntness can get you in trouble. I spoke with him for a few minutes concerning ags, the Fed, and ethanol, and let's just say that if his phrasing had been caught and posted on YouTube, he might have been altogether banned from Iowa.
The other guy I really liked was Paul Ryan. He has been one of the better thinkers in the new guard of the GOP for a couple of years, and his speech wowed me. I strongly encourage you to go to the CPAC site and listen to it. Unlike most of the speeches that were full of rah-rah, red meat horseshit conservative platitudes (see Pawlenty's vomitous mass of cliches as an example), Ryan laid out a very clear philosophy on liberty and the relationship between a government and its citizenry. Perhaps it is a telling sign of how the conservative world is changing, that he got one of his biggest rounds of applause by mentioning that Hayek is one of his guidestone thinkers.
The other overall impression from all of the different exhibitions and discussions was how strongly "Liberty" has become ingrained in the thinking of the conservative right. You had a smattering of social conservatives causes represented, but they were overwhelmed by the liberty side of the conservative movement, and the attendance was much stronger at the liberty-focused topics than the social conservative topics.
One last recollection worth mentioning. Before a forum with Ron and Rand, they showed the animated flick "The American Dream" to the standing-room only crowd. If you haven't seen it, it starts off kind of slow, accelerates into a colorful discussion of the evils of the Fed and fractional reserve banking, before launching into some truly fringey stuff suggesting the Rothschild house runs the world and they assassinated JFK. Not traditional conservative fare. Not a traditional conservative crowd. The film's end was met with a standing ovation and perhaps the loudest cheers during the film occurred when an ancient crowd of citizenry lynched a banker after a bank run. There had to be a CPAC organizer somewhere shitting their pants.
Thanks for the report, very insightful.
yes thanks for some ground level reporting
I agree Speaker. RP isn't telegenic enough or charismatic enough to make the cut in modern politics. If the package isn't right it doesn't matter how good the substance is. It has always dismayed me at how poor his speeches are. He has done a great job in starting a dialogue on money and finances but his prospects for the presidency are zippo. His best contributions will come in his subcommittee on monetary policy.
Here we go again, where intelligent people are duped by a "conservative" politician, (in this case Paul Ryan), into thinking that they are the next great choice for leading us back to constitutional values and liberties. As has been said before about Ryan in discussions on this site, Ryan voted for TARP, bailing out GM and Chrysler, all of the war spending in Iraq and Afghanistan, several stimulus packages, extending unemployment benefits, the Head Start Act, No Child Left Behind, the prescription drug benefit for medicare recipients, etc., etc. Please do some research before you get all ga-ga over a young, well-spoken snake oil salesman. How many times are people going to be fooled by these slick talkers? They are PROFESSIONAL LIARS! Look not at what they say, but what they DO. How they VOTE! You can start by going here http://wi.rlc.org/2010/08/paul-ryans-record/
Look not at what they say, but what they DO
plus one
plus 2. Ryan is the Bankster's new Newt Gingrich, talk one way, then somehow, although in power, can't quite seem to accomplish anything at all that was on the menu. Newt Gingrich sold out the 1994 change. I spoke to a former congressman from my state, who was there, and he as much admitted that they could not do the things they wanted to do such as get rid of the Department of Education, PBS, etc, etc, because 'The Leader' stymied every attempt.
Learn Ryan's voting record well. He has no answer why he would vote the opposite of what he claims to stand for. He is as much of a tool of the banksters as the legal fiction known as 'Barrak Obama II', or John McCain or Mitch McConnell.
Fair enough. You might be exactly right about Paul Ryan, but on the other hand, he is one of the few leaders on the right to actually propose some kind of comprehensive solution to some of the "big" problems (S.S., health care, etc.).
It also come down in the end to finding candidates who are electable. Going down in a flames as an ideologically pure martyr does little to advance the cause. That is my concern about Ron Paul. I would love to have him as president, but you need a sizable percentage of the population to go through a moment of "awakening" that seems to be typical for Ron Paul supporters. That number is growing - when I first started evangelizing Ron Paul I got plenty of "well, he's lost the farm" looks, but now many of those same people are ardent supporters. Even so, I think we are talking at best 10% of the populace, and I think it is a certainty that in a race between RP and smooth-talking snake oil salesmen, most of the other 90% will break for unicorns and skittles.
I still think the best strategy for the liberty movement is to place RP as the godfather of the movement. Give him every available opportunity to spread the gospel, and more importantly, take full advantage of his amazing ability to spike fundraising with his blessing, but don't waste the presidential ticket spot on him unless a lot more evidence begins to emerge that the awakening wave is penetrating more deeply into the populace. Rand seems like the perfect choice, quite frankly, especially if he can learn to tone down his honesty at times.
I agree that Ron Paul is not really electable to the presidency. But I still think he should run for president. His campaign would be a great educational effort to further awaken the people from their slumber. What is the point of supporting Paul Ryan, or any other establishment candidate, if they simply maintain the status quo once they get into office?
Of course Ryan has made proposals to deal with the budget problems. That's what they do. They propose to do all these great things and then compromise on them later. Remember Gingrich. Remember G. W. Bush and his Republican congress. They all talked a good game, but they never deliver. That is the trademark of establishment Republicans. And Ryan's voting record strongly suggests that he is no different.
Anyone who votes to take money away from average Americans and give it to very large and powerful corporations so that they can avoid going bankrupt is not worthy of high office or faithful to his oath of office. If we ignore their voting records then we are going to continue getting compromisers in office. Ron Paul doesn't compromise. He is faithful to his oath of office. So I think he should have our support for that and that alone. Let the sheep vote for Ryan, Romney, Palin and all the other establishment puppets. Those of us who understand should support those who have proven time and time again that they believe in constitutional principles.
It does no good to have woken up if you vote as you did while you were sleeping.
+1 +1
Ron, Rand. Either one is honest and blunt about it. That's what's gotten them in trouble with the Establishment repugs, but it's also what has gotten them support from the populace.
I remember my first exposure to Ron Paul via a speech I heard on the radio. I was blown away by what I was hearing out of a politician's mouth because it WAS true and honest. I personally know a number of other people who had a similar experience--including many self-described lefties.
Sadly, Rand looks kinda stupid.
The current paradigm is the antithesis of the aforementioned
Which would you prefer?
A leader that looks cute and sounds good on stage?
Or,
One that will lead?
That is funny, you would think that most of these "liberty" minded fucks would not have voted to renew the Patriot Act then.
This is not a swipe at you SpeakerFTD. I'm tired of people trying to jump on Ron Paul's coattails and "ride the wave of liberty". It's sick. From the co-opting of the tea party, to the faux fuckers that got into office and were just using the tea party as a message to get elected.
Let's hope that liberty does not become a catch phrase that people get sick of and want removed from the American lexicon. Perhaps along the line of "entitlements", or "war on terror" or "9/11". etc.
No. It means that Ron Paul needs to stay away from Dealey Plaza.
Rand and Ron better start wearing Kevlar clothing, hire food tasters, get Hosni's old armored limo, and stay away from umbrella tips. They are starting to provide a center for the discontented to rally around, the banksters will revert to form and try to eliminate them.
Libertarians be neorublicans who want to smoke pot and buy putang with precious metals. Oh i kid, kinda. End corporate personhood and all falls into place as the sovereign is restored.
I see Ron Paul as the philosophical leader but Michelle Bachmann is the one who will lead us to victory. Sort of like Moses and Joshua.
'V' is for vendetta
Paul takes over, fat chance. Or I splash myself with gas and go shopping at the nearest fed bank. See you there. It was worth it, in the end.
Revolution Bitchez!
End the Fed!
End the fed, fat chance. Start with the fuckers that ARE the fed. Lets see how the leaded glass repels the facts. I'd rip his lungs out, really, come shopping in my 'district'. Lung pudding, its delicious.
I think if Ron Paul works on his pecs/biceps and maybe even his lats, does a couple of those Vladimir Putin photo ops...I think we have a solid shot. Let's get him on the Shenandoah river with a boonie cap and a machete in his teeth reeling in a ten pound trout.
I would vote for a Ron/Rand Paul duopoly.
On a more serious note I am a die hard Ron Paul supporter.
Did anyone see those raving lunatics at CPAC give a 5 min standing ovation to DICK CHENEY? Most republicans are warmongering neocons who would never go for Ron Paul's plans to draw down the military.
My fathers name is DICK. So what. You can only shoot a few law fuckturds.
It warmed the cockles of his...oh...my bad.
Flaunt,
Fuck them, and in the end, kill them. It must be the Vodka kicking in, but I think its worth it in the end. Kill the bastards. Lead is cheaper than silver.
Sorry old sport, get a grip, and make sure you have both hands on the bastard, it has a fucking recoil.
Yo mamma has a recoil
Yes, of course Ron Paul will be President! (my lord, this forum has really hit the skids lately)
C'mon....at least look on the bright side: we'd get to see an all-time record for overturned vetoes.
Zero has a real time monitor. Nice to know
First, just imagine how awesome it will be to see Ron Paul debate Barack Obama. America needs to see a Ron Paul or Ron Paul-esque populist candidate debate a statist. Congressman Paul's command of the issues and rational style would crush any candidate just like he spanked Rudy and the rest of the Republicruds in the 2008 debates.
Talk about a slam dunk. People who hear the message of freedom and liberty delivered by Ron Paul get it. The only reason Ron Paul was not successful in 2008 is because the elites who OWN the media marginalized the Paul campaign and actively promoted McCain.
While Ron Paul may not have the telegenic face of a Mitt Romney, this American believes that it is the CONTENT OF ONE'S CHARACTER - not their looks - that makes a leader - and a candidate electable.
Ron Paul can win. I truly believe Ron Paul's DECADES LONG dedication to freedom and liberty MERITS we fully, faithfully and financially support him.
No other candidate has the ROAD TESTED CONSISTENTLY PROVEN TRACK record of Congressman Ron Paul.
Naysay all you want about Ron Paul's electability. We are WAY WORSE if we run Newt, Sarah or any of the other ESTABLISHMENT candidates.
Ron Paul for We The People in 2012.
Ron Paul 2012! Bitchez!
Most of you whiners don't get it. The pres is a stooge and if Ron paul becomes pres he will be a stooge also. That's just how it works now in America.
Along with many others, I just keep repeating myself that there is hope for the kind of changes that would begin to redress the--- primarily--- financial apocalypse that the zionists---primarily---geithner, orszag, bernanke, summers, H. paulson, greenspan, rubin, friedman, fuld, frank, thain, dodd, mozillo,o'neal, gensler, cassano, blankfein, shapiro, yellin, fink, kashkari, cohn, dudley, dugan, kagan, lippman, madoff, etc. have brought and continue to rain down upon us.
In defiance of that well known demonstration of utter insanity----doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
oh, if he gets to run..
IT'S ON LIKE DONKEY KONG!
i hate politics
its all bull shit
The USS FedCorp is sinking badly and adrift in a sea of icebergs.
Alleged leaders of the FedCorp conduct meaningless 'straw polls' for the strawman captaincy of the floundering ship of state, with fiat financing provided by the barnacles (lobbyists, bankers, lawyers, and other assorted parasites).
Man the lifeboats!

thank you

Ron Paul" Congress is the only branch of government permitted to Declare War..no war since WWII has been legal.".."we do not need hundreds of military bases nor should we become entangled in foreign wars"
Those who try to destroy Dr Paul on ZH are the true war mongers hiding as progressives..trolls does not due them justice
Dr Paul has said the banks should have failed and not been bailed out by tax payers..
He is a mortal man, but few have been as steadfast in promoting small government and freedom of the individual, those who find he has faults let them name someone better!!
I think the main impact of Ron Paul is being missed here. It really doesn't matter if he runs for Pres or not, He has already done the damage.
The 30% that voted for him represent a growing number that have READ Ron Paul. And after reading the volumes of articles that he wrote(compared to any other candidate) they read other things like 'The Creature from Jekyll Island, etc).
These people are READING for the first time. And they are sharing far and wide what they read.
The number of people who got interested in Ron Paul, after never hearing of him before, then watched as he was crucified in the MSM, they LEARNED just how rigged the game was. He (with how he is treated and feared) has awoken many.
THAT is the impact of Ron, What he has wrote and continues to write.
And they are sending his articles to everyone one they know.
The IDEA is being spread, whether or not Ron is elected.
Should Mr. Paul become President, I'm sure the Fed will organise the same fate for him as they did for Mr. Kennedy.
"Don't fight the Fed...or else."
Again, more bad history/fiction.... the EO Kennedy signed STRENGTHENED the Fed's position. You need to learn how to read.
Whoa, Jesse knocked it out the park with the monetary sophistry article

I can assure you that the next president will be:
1) Pre-approved by the PigMen on Wall St.
2) Sponsored by the Fed and Treasury Department
3) Supported by the corporate kleptocracy
I keep warning you guys not to fight City Hall or bet against the house.....
If any of you guys need a reminder, check out a chart of JPM the last few weeks...
Any questions????
silver since summer certainly ok w/ moi
I wrote in for Ron in 1988. I also was involved in 08. I have watched him for years battle upstream. The brain washing is deep, the control no longer has a veil. It is there, out in the open for all to see.
Now the question of who dares to know it, who dares embrace the truth. All that is needed to win is for the truth to find the light of day.
Even if the short term pain seems intolerable, the long term gain is too much to ignore.
Ron Paul 2012
They can't handle the truth.
The only support Ron Paul has is from mindless college students who are oblivious to his track record of hypocrisy, racism and moonbat conspiracy theories. He's been a Congressman for 30 something years and has zero (ZERO) major bills to his name. He's done nothing as a congressman except bring the bacon home to his district (one of the house's top porkers/hypocrites) and expoud a alice in wonderland tale of economics.
You mean Dr No!! If you've never heard of "Dr. No" that would be Congressman and former presidential candidate Ron Paul. He's made a name for himself for voting against virtually every piece of legislation that he sees as government overreaching.
Could you ever imagine finding a politician voting against sending billions of dollars to his own district to help recover from a hurricane disaster?
I guess you can say Ron Paul is dishing out some tough love in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike. Paul's southeast Texas congressional district includes many areas hit hard by the hurricane, including Galveston Island. The Texas Representative voted against a $22-billion aid package to help in the recovery and rebuilding of the southeast Texas region. The bill passed despite Paul's opposition. But needless to say, some in Galveston are dismayed.
You simply buy the lie. Look closer. He attaches his pork to bills he knows will pass overwhelimingly, then he 'votes' against them when passage is assured.
It's politics at it's finest. Thy name is hypocrisy.
earmarks give the people the chance to direct how money is spent in their district which seems to be the only control they have... since it will be spent some way... would you prefer it be spent how central fed thought best?
What is the disconect with progessives that think/support organic growth of local food and biz are a good thing but want somebody in the all powerful Fed GOV to make centrally planned decisions? if you hate big corp having too much power why not big gov? They usually mention something about corp profits $ greed... but you think gov decisions never are about the same things???
divide an conquer seems to be working well...no?
As you said, he votes against all the spending bills, even if they have a lot of pork for his district in them. If congress is going to throw money out of helicopters, wouldn't you be scrambling to get as much of it as you can, even if you think it's bad policy and urge them not to do it? Since I don't believe that the Social Security Act should have ever been passed, does that mean I'm a hypocrite if I cash my Social Security checks? You have to play the game you've been forced into. And Ron Paul has always done the right thing by voting against all unconstiutional spending bills while making sure that his district isn't screwed over if congress does the wrong thing. If you know of a politician in office that is more fiscally conservative than Ron Paul, then please tell us who he is.
I know of none more hypocritial - there were several that haven't or quit earmarking where Paul was doing all he could - leading the house many years. Nobody 'forced' Paul to use US tax dollars for private beneift.
If you argue against something, then do it - that is by defination a hypocrite.
Just like Trump said...Paul doesn't have a chance in hell of winning the presidency, no way no how, 0% chance.

Unbelievable that many are unwilling to accept reality.
The best he or Rand can do is change policy to effect change. That's it!
It's silly to stay hung up on Ron Paul. Yeah, he's a good guy, and he'd have had a chance 20 years ago.
He's a FOSSIL. He makes Reagan look like a teenager. There's no way for him to run an effective campaign at his age, let alone win and run an administration.
By all means he's a better candidate than we're likely to see, but it'd be a lot more productive to try to push a younger alternative who actually adheres to the same principles espoused by Paul.
"it'd be a lot more productive to try to push a younger alternative who actually adheres to the same principles espoused by Paul."
Name one.
I don't know one, but that's ok, I don't give a flying fuck who runs for President. I'm an anarchist. I wouldn't even vote for Pigasus if it were running.
My point is that clinging to the idea that Ron Paul is a Presidential candidate is worse than useless. It's a guaranteed failure, and the energy and motivation which could possibly be used to affect some change is wasted.
Might as well be cheering for Santa Claus.
You don't know one because one does not exist. Ron Paul will never get the Republican nomination for president, but at least we can watch the statists in the media squirm when he garners massive support from the grass roots and puts out common sense ideas during debates. Sending a message that a lot of Americans do want smaller government is the point we would like to send with Paul in the race. He is as close to an anarchist as you're going to find in this country running for the presidency, so we should support him.
You may be right, but who cares?
*I* don't know of such a candidate because I oppose the very notion that reinforcing our political power-structures can result in beneficial change.
In other words: this ain't my fight. I don't worry about who's running for President because the powers vested in the office itself are intrinsically INCAPABLE of improving my life.
I'll never vote for a major party, and the only reason I'll be voting at all is to register one man's useless protest.
Things won't get better by supporting establishment shills--even the best establishment shills you can find.
Support him if you like, but stock your supplies for the defeat celebration in advance. As for me, I'm busy building a local survival network amongst my friends.
People seem to imagine a Ron Paul presidency where he simply abolishes everything on day one and society falls into chaos. That just isn't how it would happen. I'm not sure it would even be possible right now, for instance, to go back to a gold/silver/commodity based standard. The system is flooded with money, and it would require a massive, immediate devaluation of the dollar. What really should happen (and is very likely to happen, though it's hard to say if it'll manifest in a sovereign currency or some kind of global monetary order) is a default and then a new commodity backed currency.
On issues like Medicare/Social Security, Ron Paul has said many times that he doesn't want to cut those people off. The fact of the matter is that if we don't do something with entitlements, we'll eventually get to a point where those that are dependent on the system suddenly find themselves without means for survival. So, the whole idea that we're saving the elderly by perpetuating the current system is fairly absurd.
I'll support Ron Paul in 2012, but here's the problem I expect to see. The economy will continue to worsen, and the average person will be feeling that in 2012 and beyond. If Ron Paul, and other courageous politicians, do what needs to be done, we should get "the correction." And, given the damage that's already been done, the correction will be quite painful. Like, people dying in the streets painful. The average American does not understand basic economics, and they will not understand the sudden dip in their standard of living. They'll blame this on whoever is in power of time, not realizing that every politician who came before was just kicking the can along.
The American people are a bunch of snivelling scum who deserve to be made slaves for their Chinese masters. Learn Mandarin bitchez.
To The threetards: NBC, ABC, FOX, CBS and CNN
Go get 'em boys.
Defile the name of Ron Paul high and low.
Attack the non-statists.
Exterminate.
Paul is a good man and he has balls to be sure and I wish the congress and senate had more like him, however he hasn't a snowballs chance in hell of winning the presidency and never will.
Hopefully we still have a country left by the time - Congrats to the 30% of intelligent people in the room at the event
You mean 9.8%...30% of the 3600 who bothered to participate out of 11000 "in the room".

wow what do you think of this?
Funny stuff. The author is taking a big beating. I would do it.
"Unfortunately, history has taught us that honest idiots in power are way more dangerous than sleazy but intelligent bastards."
With that attitude it is, and already has been over. The point I convey is the Consumer will decide not the parasites sucking on a corpse as it is. The Company's fears uncertanty where I work. To mitigate risk we are changing gears and 10 percent of our people have been outsized to a holding Company as we all seen before over the last 30 plus years how that works. The point is the politispooks are clueless and yes polo- tic translate as blood sucking vermine since Athens. The only issue is waste. May the beatings continue until moral improves. Oh, btw its been over.
Is it true that Chris Christie's nickname is "the .700 Nitro Express"?
