I have to say that Al Gezera and RT are doing investigative journalism...you know....scoops who go out and 'ask real people real questions' and compare real facts, rather than just having pundits and 'journalists' interviewing MP's, lobyists, paid-off academics and other 'journalists'.

Who can doubt that Rupert Murdoch’s newest accumulation of media power is one more step toward State media. Already possessing State message management (Fox censorship and misinformation of Ron Paul's challenge to the Fed) makes one wonder how much monetary Fed support Rupert receives.
Fed money (taxpayer money via inflation and devaluation) is given out in secret; why would one not suspect that the recipients would be able to curtail Fed criticism?
The Mirror says today that letting Rupert Murdoch buy the whole of satellite broadcaster BskyB (includes 39% of Sky News) creates a media superpower with worrying influence.
Dan Sabbagh says the “decision is a dangerous one that gives one man too much power.”
Says Sabbagh: “Yes, he has had to make one concession and will own only 39% of Sky News, but that matches what he had in BSkyB before the deal.
“Meanwhile his power and in particular his economic dominance in the UK grows ever greater.
“What is happening here is that he is allowed to fuse together the most powerful newspaper group in the UK which controls more than one-in-three newspapers sold every day, with the biggest broadcaster.
“In the future, by the time of the next general election, his interests in the UK will be double that of the BBC. And that is one man and one company who is deciding which political party to support…
"And with regards to broadcasting, Sky has a turnover of £6billion, which is bigger than the BBC with a turnover of £4.8billion.
"If you add to that Murdoch’s newspaper empire, you have a £7.5billion business.

Just listening to the pros and cons re. "no-fly zone over Libya", and while I truly understand and respect the US lack of enthusiasm to be kicked in the face again, it begs the question (probably best put to wanky moon inc. over on E. River and the European "liberal elite") are we going to sit back and do a Srebrenica once again? Do we leave the Libyans to stew in their own juice as we did with the Kurds and the people of S. Iraq at the end of the 1st Gulf War?
“Stir in their own juice”? By now the "juice" that the United States provides is banker-controlled puppet government, well known in the Middle East and the very reason that the people of the ME want something better than $2 a day and torture governments. Only ground troops would be able to secure Libya, following air superiority, and as we have learned over and over again, ground troops mean occupation, and occupation means puppet government. The hopes and dreams of those brave Libyans, now moving toward Tripoli and freedom, would be dashed away with the banker juice that America/Israel would provide.

I am rooting for the Libyan people. If they manage this themselves they may actually have true freedom. If the US and/or EU goes in the outcome might not be so favorable.
Am I the only one who feels a little bit of envy that the Libyans are willing to risk their lives to overthrow their masters and find freedom?
