yes buddy, very true; they have built infrastructure based on two tings a) needed mirage fo growth b) over-stretched ( and i mean like light years overstretched ) belief that the world will economically grow for ever. There is a mass exodus of Chinese workers back to the country from metropolitan areas and that WILL hurt, and hurt bad CRE, RE sector and the overall economy. Basically they can afford themselves to play this game because the political system is as it is; but they can not afford to buy endless amount of US debt just to keep themselves from not imploding; also the yuan peg allows them to be creative and to have a currency advantage, although if the crisis does not end in the next 5 yrs ( and i dont see how it could looking at Alt-A and Opt-Arm defaults in '10 and '11) they will need to float the yuan, then, all bets are off.
