Commodity Plunge Resumes (Updated)
The liquidation wave has arrived, as the entire commodities complex, with an emphasis on silver and crude, continues to feel the wrath of a bipolar market which from inflation has suddenly realized that the underlying deflation needs to exhibit itself before the US Central Bank has a justification for more monetization. Elsewhere, the by bar biggest bubble in the world: the dollar short, is blowing up, with the EURUSD on route to post a 300 pip move in a few hours. Basically, the tit for tat repeat of 2010 in this Anno Domini 2011 continues.

Question to silverbugs: how does it feel to lose 25% of your life savings in 72 hours?
come on oil keep a droppin'
@Hamy - usually I've liked your stuff but maybe you are a troll after all.
* 82 junks. Never seen that before.
if hamy and harry are the same, then yeah hes king douche.
the frustration i get from reading his senseless blather is tantamount to trying to explain macro economics at a monster truck jam.
"trying to explain macro economics at a monster truck jam"
-Nice
Well, I bought some more physical yesterday. And will keep buying irrespective of price movement.
I usually get my physical below spot, except for rare/special coins.
Current blowout prices are great for buying bars/bullion. You have to thank those shortminded idiots for this opportunity. Supply is running short, a clear indication that the effects are not those desired by TPTB.
They have only accelerated their own downfall by means of their uncalculated, desperate, criminal actions.
To Hamy: Silver will have to drop $5 more per oz before it reaches its price from four months ago. Anyone who invested in silver at the beginning of the year, at this point in the drop, will still have made returns of over 10% if they sold now. but it would be foolish to sell now
Told you people will get hurt, ZH... Not resonsible at all!
Not resonsible - thanks Scooby Doo
Boy, are you an asshole. Many of my family are big fans of monster trucks, and they get "more dollars printed = dollars buy less stuff" instantly.
It's the Ivy League douchebags that don't get it.
Better drop your elitist 'tude, because it's only going to net you higher prices at the local farmer's market (where everybody will soon be shopping, because JIT delivery will collapse with everything else).
yeh , monster trucks. man that is family entertainment for sure....ha ha ha
251!
This is bullish!
Yeah, monster truck rallies --- good wholesome family fun!
Right up there with cock fights, shooting up roadsigns, brewin' up a batch of moonshine, blowing up possums with M-80s, and wife beating. Woops, that last one is stictly for the adults.
Don't forget cow tipping.
(and NASCAR)
I forgot mudbogging too.
WOW!!! 256 junks!

Obviously, a new junking rule is in effect, allowing them to exceed the former maximum count of 50 before being consigned to the memory hole.
I bet some of Leo's comments would have received similar numbers, had this rule been in effect last year.
INFO for those interested!
GLD:SLV (stockcharts.com) now about 4.0. Was 3.2 a week ago.
24hgold.com / eBay widget shows Gold Eagles at 11% premium to spot, and Silver Eagles a MAJESTIC 60% +.
Hi Hamy! Mine is junk No. 269!
I offer true congratulations!
Mine came in at 299, who's gonna make it 300?
Not necessarily a "rule".... may be that they saw his post, and simply disabled it for fun to see how high it would go.
Tyler, that sly dog .....
:-)
How about 123?
137 junks! Surely a record of some kind?
143 and counting....
Come on Hammy - you can do it!
172 now...
220 and counting!!!
This site is hilarious.
Junk 244
Now that's just (a) gross
a gross is 144. Hamy blew past that a while ago
I'm actually quite jealous. I wish I could have obtained that sort of junk count.
Well, Dangertime, let me start by NOT junking you!
Actually, you made re great call re silver for TRADERS. Those holding physical will be fine.
-he called top monday on that dip, and it went back up, got it wrong.
-he got mocked, by the end of the week he retracts and then predicted it would rise this week to 50 or 60, then it dipped again, got it wrong.
-lastly, he had one in 50 posts of his lying claims to actually hold any calls or puts, (or anything period), that wasnt completely wrong, and that is the only one he tries to talk about now. He has got all his calls wrong, and all his claimed investments are lies, as proven in every thread were he ignores calls to back it up with any proof.
just look at these lol posts from one week, HOW DOES HE DO IT? lol, fcking noob btch

Forgiven, the peak is in for this run. We will see $50 again but not likely for another year. You still have time to sell and restock with even more this summer.

When your investments are imaginary and just random troll lies on the interwebs, what do you hedge? the ability to claim you called something ROFLMAO :D

We just about touched $50. The floor fell out after that. I was on record at another board (prior to the fire sale) as thinking we'd see $50 by 5/5 in early April. Being a weak early and a few cents short. I'll take that. I had no idea, and I would argue also that few did, silver would drop like it did. I hold physical that I had accumulated between $9 and $15/oz. I took my initial investment off the table at $35.80 today. The rest of the physical I own I will hold, paper price be damned. Should it continue to capitulate, I may pick those ounces back up. :)
I junk him just because its fun. EVERYTIME I SEE HIS NAME
Just like RobotFaker, aka RobotLemming, aka MomoTrader, aka Lobot(omized)Trader.
I smell a BUYING OPPORTUNITY coming...as soon as the volatility quiets a little.
The United States is still on the path to stagflation, especially with Jimmy Carter II in the White House.
Considering most silver bulls' "life savings" doubled since early Feb. this is no big deal.
Well, I'd say it's kind of a big deal. I mean down 25% in what, a week? Pass the dramamine.
Pass the fucking greenbacks so I can get rid of them before the Bernanke prints more.
Stagflation? That would be good compared to what is really going to occur.

176 and climbing, I think Hamy's junk rating growth is not sustainable it is a bubble.
It's OK - we're hedged.
zerohedged, meanwhile 220, the guy is a real talent, my money is on Hamy, i bet he will hit 300 unless Tyler pulls the plug
HamyWanger - please remove the flag. You represent something other than human descency. Your mother is ashamed.
"Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel."

that assumes you put everything in at the top, and it assumes you sell at the bottom, and that's not correct for 99% of the people even silver bugs.
I think most silver bugs will be fine till silver drops below 25$
......and it will never occur to the sheep that they should BTFD.
.......at least I hope not.
Please don't think. Leave that to the grown ups.
At 25$ most of us will be on a buying spree and tripple our money before your mommy can say "GO TO YOU ROOM IDIOT, MOMMY'S GOT CUSTOMERS!"
At 25$ most of us will be on a buying spree....
Oh no......not again. What's wrong with $35?
......it's good enough for your momma.
OMG.....the price of real gold is going UP!

I am jacks complete lack of surprise.... When will people realize that 'silver' and 'gold' bugs are buying physical... and the spot price plumetting just means more glimmer for your dollar...
I just hope it doesn't all sell out at these levels... hoping for a little lower meself ;-)
i wasn't aware i sold them. remember, it's only a loss on paper. it's not a real loss until you sell (at least that's what money magazine says).
Damn skippy. Unfortunately, many of the rubes that watch CNBC like to sell low and buy high. This dip is a blessing and I am going to suck it like I'm Hamy vying for more paper.
its not a real loss until you convert it back to paper in fact
You haven't 'lost' anything until you sell...
FASB couldn't have said it better
FASB couldn't have said it better

Not nearly as bad as tripling it over the last few years feels good.
r u falling in love with math man & danger?
You are working veryy very hard here. Its not helping however
I'm sure you don't think so, Mr. 9 week old troll.
I haven't lost 25% of my life savings since I bought my silver when it was $11/oz. Thanks for your statement though.
I was late to the silver party... My average is about $26. Traded some in on Monday for gold, small amount though.
Who would put all of his "life savings" into a single commodity anyways, let alone out of all things silver? Silver is the spice in a basket, not the bread.
reject the premise of your question....emotion has no proper place in investing.
wow the same 3 junks for everyone pro metals, now that's an anomaly
HamyWanker,
You need to hold paper FRNs ... for safety.
FRNs have been increasing in value since 1913, right?
Yes but holding FRNs is the safest way to gradually lose all your wealth.
...but you get to feel nominally wealthier at least.
And the added bonus is that you have LOTS of people that you can talk to that can "understand" this (unlike with PMs, where everyone is brainwashed into avoiding them, resulting in ignorance).
Funny, everyone was smiling and calling me a doomer. Now I'm the one who is smiling (though on the inside- gloating generally isn't good, esp when everyone around you is in dire straights).
that's a retarded statement HW considering anyone that bought silver last summer is sitting on a clean double
Let me think. I'm still up 87% and I'm 100% sure it will be at 75$ by the end of the year.
Question for you: Why don't to go back to your retard Yahoo board?
Question to everybody else: After 50 junks his post will be gone. At what hour + minute will this happen?
15:07 gmt
66 junks and counting...still going....
82 now...impressive.
128! I think it's hilarious watching the board get trolled like that... It's a joke folks, get over it...
not too bad, considering i was up about 300% before my "savings" started going down.
ah hell, please keep dropping, I'm off to Germany next weekend, and plan to visit proaurum.de whilst there. the cheaper the price, the more i get for my monies.
Go to MDM in munich at the Stiglmaier Platz an ask for tax deducted kilobars.Kindest regards from munich..
Much appreciated, but y employer wants me to go to Berlin :)
Try to get CookIsland bars esp. 100 oz, they are nice to look at.
Use www.gold.de for price comparison. At the moment of this writing, pro aurum has 940 EUR while gold.de shows you 905 EUR for (example) Australian Kookaburra 1kg.
It can point you nicely to various shops, some of them possibly close to Berlin.
Don't eat the schnitzel, they're using schnauzer.
woof...
I wonder if goldman sucks is getting hit here. Sure. Not.
"no market is too big, no market is too small, here at goldie ballsacks, we run them all."
It's not a correction, more like a controlled bloodbath.
Question to hamyweener: what's it like to be an asstroll?
Hamy I buy high and sell low just like you, what is going wrong?
Got in @ $12 and $700 physical.
Try buying physical Silver or Gold @ the paper spot price.
ebay physical Silver is still selling well above $50.
Welcome to two separate markets for Gold and Silver. Worthless paper and priceless physical.
If you buy a contract on the Comex, you can take physical delivery.
Ummm.....quick question.....have you ever actually tried it?
What dream world are you living in? Check Apmex, it's awash in sold out blue tabs. You can check inventory numbers by typing 9999 in the item number desired block. Product that is still available is rapidly dropping even as they raise premium and commission prices. The paper game is coming to an end. With this last margin increase you have your head up your ass if you can't see that paper Silver and Gold markets are crashing and physical markets are now selling separate of that market.
I haven't checked recently but perhaps they're not listing items because they don't want to sell at these prices? Just last week I got an email from them asking me to sell them my Eagles for spot + $2, if I recall correctly. Wonder how many took that deal?
I got that same email but mine said $3
You're hitting em out of the park Hamy! "Time spread", I love it!
Better yet, try and find silver for that price on any mint site, whoop's you can't.
How does it feel to be a dweeb? Having to hear your mother every morning yelling down the basement steps, Haaamy, Haaaaaaaaamy, Oh Haaaaamy your egg is ready. And then the humiliation of driving her around in her 1987 Buick? Such a chick magnet Ham...
Hamy- get your credit card out of your wallet RIGHT NOW. Go to Gainesville Coins or APMEX and get you some physical silver.
In 2008 there were long waits to get physical silver. The price for silver Eagles never went below 17-18 dollars while the paper price dropped to 8. Don't believe your own lies.
Hamy,
How does it feel to be the new world record holder for junks per minute on ZH?
Tyler - can you confirm the stats?
I don't think Ben Bernanke himself denying inflation exists on ZH could have done any better.
Don't fret - this is just the late market comers reacting to the talk of deflation - you know what happens after 'talk of deflation' don't you?
....I'll give you a clue - it's very similar to Queen Elizabeth's cruise ship.
I'd be interested as well in these stats, because I had a post junked off in like 10 minutes back when 50 got you deleted.
I feel cheated

You have it way too easy here.
I dont know, but I sure didnt buy silver at $10-$14 to 'make' a few bucks in fiat currency....long term buy and hold against Maniacal Monetizers, bitchez's.
+1
Hamy, it feels 25% awful!
The dip is going to be a great birthday gift for me. Just unloaded my last paper position and I now have $10K to drop on physical silver. Best birthday ever mother fucker.
Considering I went long zsl on Thursday to hedge....I'm feeling pretty damn good.
Feels great. Thanks. Silver on sale, 25% off, wheeeee this investing stuff is easy. This is a friggin gift. I did not have enough and just bought two large COMEX contracts, for delivery. Check back in later this year mr. Wanker. We will see who has the last laugh.
Are planning on standing for delivery? I'd be interested in hearing how that process goes for you...
Glad to see a RPFer withthe balls to stand for delivery.
Please do keep us updated.
Be sure to get the bars assayed.
You tell me Mr. Paper Bug - how much has your nominal purchasing power FAILED since you've been alive ? Thought so...
Question to hamy?
Did your doctor confirm your suspicions about that burning/itching sensation you have in your rectum? Do you think you might have acquired from your boyfriend?
Life savings? is this guy for real?
>> Question to silverbugs: how does it feel to lose 25% of your life savings in 72 hours?
Still feels like a four bagger bitch ;-)
Question to Hamy: How does it feel to be 25% right in the last 72 weeks?
+25%
Thanks for the laugh. :-)
I bought silver at $8-16.50/oz. I have more than doubled my "life's savings". (Also, plan to buy more when the price stabilizes.)
How does it feel to see your government pension at risk?
Ain't happening. I am Long Silver. I still have the Bullion in my possession. And the Banks play with the cash we get from Payroll to pay bills. What is left... Still there.
NNow, gasoline, food etc has gotten more expensive yes. However we replaced obselete infrastructure to drive house utility bills way down. Eventually we hope to export unused power for income.
The sting? Not there unless you sell below what you paid for it. I remember when gold was 200. I told my family they should get it. They laughed. Now no one is laughing.
I am getting ready to back a tractor trailer to the silver dock by the light of the burning paperbug silver pyres.
77 K's, Hamy. This one could be heading to the pages of Guinness.
My buys feel heavier.
It's exciting! Just bought some Fiji Taku's for $40 an ounce!! Deflation scare to make way for QE3. Crashing the whole commodities complex!! But I think they've already started QE3. This may be the Lindsey Williams moment. When you see the Euro begin to crash then the USD has only weeks to go. Better get ready Hamy- get physical silver while you still can.
What if Martin Armstrong's mid June prediction applies to either silver or the dollar? If both Williams and Armstrong are correct then this may be the beginning of the collapse of the monetary system.
I just checked. I still have the same number of ounces. I was worried that maybe you had found the vault and stolen 25% of it. And I am price averaged in at about $18 an ounce. I got out of the spec position last week. (Lucky, I guess.)
Oh, you're worried about green pieces of paper with dead men on it. I prefer the coins that espouse "liberty" or "peace". Your choice...
I would not want you near me if ever I needed a pint of blood Hamy.
Please tell us - Did you take particular pleasure in pulling wings form flies when you were a youngster?
lol, I was junk number 99.
Is the new limit 100?
Junk inflation, bitches.
Hamy's "junk" is skyrocketing...299!
The only people that lost 25% were the ones that bought in right at the intermediate top. What a stupid statement. Most "silver bugs" were smart enought to buy in several years ago and can more than handle the volatility.
feels great.
it's called cost averaging. i buy into the dips.
Now that is funny. All my silver sells are now profitable!!!

Question to silverbugs: how does it feel to lose 25% of your life savings in 72 hours?
**************************************************************
with 98 Junks not including mine yet, which makes for 99.. I thought I would cut and paste your remarks before answering so that I would alone not look like I was talking to myself. Which I often do, people think I am crazy becuase they are to stupid to talk too.
any way, Hammy.. I enjoy you! I really do.. but I am very much a silver bug and I am very much a buyer.. all the way down to the bottom and maybe even back up for a little while as well.. depending on how fast it raises.
I can promise you Hammy that I am not some super smart, brilliant fuck who is all alone in this buying spree.
Silver Coins are between $46 and $60 in monster box form.. that is to say buying 500 oz's at a time the best you can hope for is $46 to $60 an oz and that has changed by $9 dollars down..
There will be no safer place for money than in PM's.. they work whether the world is ride side up or upside down.. a tangible for all seasons really!
Good Luck Hammy!
Well, considering that the money was made in just a couple weeks, not too bad. In a bull market, the drops are sudden and severe. That's okay. Talk to us when silver is over $50 by the Fall.
Not as good as the 400% increase in savings over the last 2 years.
Get it into perspective 'king of the junks' - there's a long, long way to go before we get worried.
There's nothing worse than a short silver sniper trying to claim the 'last shots of bernanke' are some sort of tipping point.
What you need to worry about is once all the paper speculators have been squeezed out by margin hikes - what has Ben got left?
....and of course the lack of tightening from the ECB and the UK central banks is also not bearish for PM's.
....but of course you know that - don't you?
I'm good until I have to sell somewhere below $8. This is transitory, and I'll be buying more physical as always.
Maybe the silverbugs are using mark-to-model since there is a chance that the market is wrong, or does that only work with real estate?
It's not a real market. It's computers trading with other computers. Please learn the difference between the price of paper silver and the price of physical silver.
duplicate
I didn't junk you Hamy because I LOVE EVERYBODY TODAY!!
134 junks in an hour? Wow...I seem to have some real competition here now
So I guess it is the mark of a strong intellectual community when everyone agrees with one another, and assault anyone with an independant thought...sounds a lot like a cult to me. Junk away Bitches!
well this record needs an asterisk because some of the stronger trolls got junked off at 20, then 50.
A "strong intellectual community" ?? What is that, some collective in Moscow? As an "independant" intellect, you really should learn how to spell the word at least.
Told you so bitches! It's not all bad, as long as you are not in on margin. If you are, then you probably lost your house
And that's another reason to accumulate physical metals without leverage. If there is no leverage involved, you don't have to sell (or meet a margin call) if the price drops. With physical, it's only a loss if you sell. If you're holding and accumulating physical as an insurance policy a sharp drop is a non-event.
I measure my savings in ozs., thank you. 100% of which I still have. Besides, I've been watching this chart formation since first zoomed up past $7.50, then $9, then $11, then $14, then $17... well, you get the picture.
As long as the underlying fundamentals remain the same, price spikes followed by waterfalls all the way down to the lower Bolinger Band do not scare me in the least. It just means that it's time to start accumulating again as the price creates a new base from which the next climb will come.
Nice troll, Hamy. AFAIK, 126 junks is a record. (and I didn't even bother)
should have known that you'd come slithering out with commodities in decline, that's the only time you show yourself.
For whatever it's worth Hamy, I thought that was pretty damn funny, especially after all the crap the idiot retail money has said about Gold and Silver on this blog the last few months. Bravo Sir. I'm wondering when these idiots will figure out, if the chaos ever happens (which it won't) what the hell damn good is a bar of gold going to do them??? Maybe they will use it as a door stop when the thieves come???
