  • Geithner says no threat of trade war with China or world currency conflict.

This reminds me of burning theatre story.

The theatre is full, the audience is waiting for the show to begin.  Some of the patrons begin to smell smoke.  They begin looking around and slowly more and more people notice the smell, too.  They begin to stand up and a few move to the aisles so they can make their way to the exits in the back of the theatre.

Back stage, an actor sees a fire that's grown completely out of control in the makeup room.  He makes his way to center stage and sees the theatre goers have moved to the aisles.  They are pushing and crowding the aisles and the exits.  The actor and makes an announcement in a calm and soothing voice.  "There was a small fire in the makeup room back stage.  There is no reason for concern.  The fire is out and we will begin the show as soon as you retain your seats.  As soon as the aisles are cleared and everyone is seated, the actor (who's escape route is now open) jumps from the stage and exits thru the rear doors.  He may have yelled "fire" as he left the building, but accounts vary on this particular detail.

Reminds me of my ex who said she was on the pill. I failed to clarify which pill?
