Yeah, it went up above 89 again after the close.
ho hum
the big question is what is real production versus real consumption...watch the inventories drawdowns for upside surprises, as that is suggestive of supply/demand imbalance which will drive price at the margin up sharply and precipitate a redux of 2007/8.
Kudlow had some "experts" on tonight that said speculators were driving the price up again, and open interest is now even bigger than 2008.
i love it...haven't heard FIFO/LIFO since back in 1980...ha ha ha, it begins, the inflation method of accounting...thats how you do it at @ 15%/year...ha ah ha lol...
....@ 15%/year...ha ah ha lol...
Hey guys it Jr. here. Thanks for the data. I still think oil is a good long term trade, but then so does everyone else and their dog. I love all those basic technical indicators on yahoo. Just plug and play! You know a little knowledge is a dangerous thing but my reading of the entrails says that oil is not going below 85.50. I'm going to start buying at 86. however I have this nagging thought that we aren't going to see a pullback and it's going higher a lot faster than anyone expects. Did you see the oil import numbers out of Asia?
YOu mean I can reply to my own posts? This is so wierd!
If you talk to yourself... will anybody listen? ;>\
Did you hear the one about the farmer's family that killed Bessie their one and only milk cow for a nice holiday dinner? Dinner was fine and all enjoyed. However the story took an unfortunate turn when they went looking for milk the next day.
Our brave banks just keep "bangin'" the hell out of the same people...and it works great - until it no longer works...
Watch oil pull the smarties. Oil to 100 by years end.
Not that anyone should care, but oil is the reason to be bullish Brazil. Africa will be a consumer soon (with oil money to spend) and shippng distance is short. And of course they have oil -- and refineries.
agree...one of the few energy self-sufficient nations, agro, kind of autarkish they are. One of the top of the list for bugouts, plus the girls there are top shelf as is the food
It's actually the only legitimate purpose I see for gold in the post Peak world.
You have to bribe a long term visa. You can't just walk in past the lines of refugees that will be on the border trying to get in. Gold may buy a long term ticket in.
Don't plan on being rich there. The border guards will certainly confiscate the rest.
One other place getting attention for agro and oil potential. Madagascar.
good laugh here...

It is laughable only because he, like all conventional economists, cannot envision performing economic analysis and getting any sort of drastic annual result in a sealed room with 15 minutes of oxygen left.
