And I would add that if they see GDP of 2% annualized in the 2nd quarter, it very well may be 1% based on the enormous rates of decline in leading economic indicators, ending the year with a -2% annualized.  That should do wonders for your short positions, unfortunately.

Adul Gheit claimed Obama told the Arabs to show patience. Obama promised that once he overcame some domestic issues, like the Health care reform, he would show the Muslim World how to deal with Israel.

I am a it confused as to why the retial sales data came out as a surprise. When one looked at incomes, employment, etc. the consumer spending increases could clearly not be sustained.  You just can't have sustained increases in spending with high consumer debt, high unemployment, and stagnant incomes

In such case, why don't we convert all of our vehicles to nat gas and take advantage of this so called unlimited source of energy in our back yard?
