No problem.

Demand is collapsing so fast, we won't need much oil in the coming "Mad Max" world.

There is enough "excess inventory" at Cushing and on tankers to last the next 20 years.

LOL.....

Demand is collapsing so fast because the price is still tragically high ...

If what is stated in your link is true, or even half true, it is damned scary. The link claims that the US Gov is making contentency plans to relocate 10 Million people! Lucky for us there are plenty of empty dwellings to move into. The damned Fed/Treasury will go to any lengths to boost GDP.../saracasm off.

"A greater danger involving Corexit 9500, and as outlined by Russian scientists in this report, is that with its 2.61ppm toxicity level, and when combined with the heating Gulf of Mexico waters, its molecules will be able to “phase transition” from their present liquid to a gaseous state allowing them to be absorbed into clouds and allowing their release as “toxic rain” upon all of Eastern North America.

Even worse, should a Katrina like tropical hurricane form in the Gulf of Mexico while tens of millions of gallons of Corexit 9500 are sitting on, or near, its surface the resulting “toxic rain” falling upon the North American continent could “theoretically” destroy all microbial life to any depth it reaches resulting in an “unimaginable environmental catastrophe” destroying all life forms from the “bottom of the evolutionary chart to the top”.

Petroleum is a stupid form of energy! When this thing was flowing right out of the ground it may made sense to use it but now it is just stupid

We should be using our deserts to install high efficiency solar panels ( not the ones they sell right now) with photo voltaic paint and generating clean electricity. The technology for high advanced solar power already exist but it is kept down by the petroleum people.

Algae farms can flood the market with clean burning bio diesel CHEAP but again the big boys behind the energy monopoly don't let it go further.

Even coal with carbon sequestration and fixation on carbonates makes more sense than the petroleum nonsense that exist right now.

The smart (easier and cheaper) energy is out there but the freaks sabotate it all the time, it is just frustrating.

What could be cheaper than petroleum? The shit is so plentiful that it's lapping up the shores all over the Gulf coast

Kuwait’s national representative to OPEC, Nawal Al-Fuzaia has warned that crude oil prices could fall to $60 per barrel (bbl) this year, as continued concerns over the global economic recovery are being exacerbated by Greece's ability to reduce fiscal deficit and service debt repayments.

Superfund sites S&L Crisis LTV Enron Madoff -somehow these HF accounts were gov insured to $500k GM AIG Freddie Fannie Goldman (got 100% on the dollar for their swaps - see AIG) BP ? These were all situations where WE got stuck with the bill and should not have had the government been smarter. I am sure I missed some. What is the value of BPs US assets ? What will be the cost of cleanup and economic impact ? If A is less than B then you can bet your ass that WE will be paying for it. That is wrong and since we are bankrupt, ridiculus. What I am most sickened by is so called conservatives who mouth a hands off corporate attitude: Let the free market take care of it. In the purest form, that is exactly what I am saying except the goverment has a duty to not be the last position on the risk totem pole. The government needs, in all situations going forward, to aggressively limit tax burden risk. They need to constantly let it be known that they will move in to seize assets if the taxpayer is in danger of getting the bill for various screwups, not just criminal actions. Then sure, let the markets be free...

All we need is a car that runs on a combination of seawater and oil.
