Dear Wikileaks: Leak the Bank Records NOW, Or Forever Hold Your Peace

George Washington's picture

Washington’s Blog

Wikileaks head Julian Assange told
Forbes that the next leak will be regarding a major American bank. He
said that Wikileaks plans to release the documents early next year.

Assange told Computer World in October 2009:

"At
the moment, for example, we are sitting on 5GB from Bank of America,
one of the executive's hard drives," he said. "Now how do we present
that? It's a difficult problem. We could just dump it all into one giant
Zip file, but we know for a fact that has limited impact. To have
impact, it needs to be easy for people to dive in and search it and get
something out of it."

Indeed, speculation that the leak could be about Bank of America is going viral, being reported by CBS, MSNBC, CNBC, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Reuters, Bloomberg, Yahoo Finance, Huffington Post and elsewhere.

As Joe Weisenthal writes today: "Bank Of America Selling Accelerates, As Fears Spread That It's In The Wikileaks Crosshairs".

(Bank of America is the largest U.S. bank.)

But the Department of Justice has launched a criminal probe of Wiklileaks, Assange may face espionage charges, representative Peter King is asking that Wikileaks be designated a foreign terrorist organization like Al Qaeda, some have called for Assange's assassination (and see this), and Wikileaks' website is under attack by hackers. And Interpol has issued an arrest warrant for Assange on rape charges.

Unless
Wikileaks quickly moves up the release of the bank documents, it may be
shut down before it has the chance to organize them so that they are
easy to search.

Wikileaks could, of course, leak the raw documents now "into
one giant Zip file", and then - if it is still able to do so - leak the
organized version later.

Admittedly, if Wikileaks is really a "clever Psyops front", then the bank release might just be about unsavory - but perfectly legal - shenanigans. As John Young - the founder of long-time whistleblower website Cryptome - said recently:

“The
principal deficiency of Wikileaks is its lack of transparency about
its operators and funds, characteristics of spies and secret societies
up to no good and whose main purpose is to hide from public
accountability and conceal corruption and criminality.

Such
organizations always use a noble purpose and claim secrecy is needed
to protect supporters. In practice the secrecy protects the principal
beneficiaries, the operators and sources of funds, and supporters are
sacrificed to protect the continuation of the enterprise.

Wikileaks
has followed the lucrative model of the cult of national security, the
largest world’s secret enterprise, composed of selected elements of
governments, military, intelligence, NGOs, contractors, lobbyists and
supporters, identified by their clearance for access to classified
information.

But
the proof will be in the pudding ... if Wikileaks reveals information
showing criminal fraud by Bank of America, then they are heroes. If
not, they are something else.

So Wikileaks proves what we already thought anyway. The key here is to NOT allow our clueless neighbors and family members to think it is ok to hand the now documented corrupt, immoral, establishment Government a mandate for carte blanche crack-downs, that will be the beginning of the end.

My best guess on this operation is:

This might be a renegade DOD/CIA effort to discredit the current political players in the eyes of the public.

These would be the same guys who would have to put [their] boot to [your] ass when things get out of control due to criminal fiscal management.

They are maybe not so thrilled with this prospect for many, many reasons and are looking for ways out of the situation that don't include putting boot to public ass.

Maybe they want public sentiment against the current political leadership to become so intense that the public begins to demand the Military step up and fulfill their Constitutional Oath to protect this country from enemies foriegn and domestic.

Maybe they want the public to demand a martial purge of the system and new elections for our leadership.

Elections not co-opted by big money.

I'm not saying... Just saying...

What was that General's Name... The one who got a good dressing down and retired by Obama?

Wasn't he a real true badass?

He was in intel no?

Guess they fucked with the wrong Hombre huh?

Here on ZH the term banana republic is tossed around frequently. And nothing says banana republic like a military coup.

The people will show up for the coup...the military just has to stay out of the way.The military answers to the civilian authority in this republic. If it were to usurp it's role, it would be existentially bad for the United States. No generals in charge in other words...or it's on like donkey-kong.

I hope the idiots in DC and the beltway reading this understand....their days of fun are coming to a close. The piper will be paid.Or the piper will bring hell...literally and figuratively.

I don't think that highly of the people in that respect.

They let it get this bad.

They are a disorganized mob.

The military has lots of recent experience with removing/replacing governments.

They can do it surgically (more or less)...

They just need to be "told" by the people to do it.

If you are in the military, that "disorganised mob" is your boss.

Otherwise the noose and firing squad beckon.

The officers obeying illegal orders also let it get this far.Don't omit that salient point.

Bradley Manning was a hapless idiot who was ALLOWED to become the patsy for this Wikileaks scam.

The IA folks were all over his ass from the first time he started accessing large volumes of unrelated information on the siprnet.

Pattern detection algorythms alerted to them to this.

His subsequent upload(s) of "encrypted" data to WLeaks were conducted via networks that were under COMPLETE DOD control at the time and were fully monitored.

The whole thing had to be done under the tacit approval of someone fairly high up in DOD.

Don't believe me. I don't care.

You are a hapless idiot if you believe this Wikileaks thing is not a part of some-one's plan.

Who that is I dunno.

It would seem someone with serious power over DOD assets is involved.

CIA or other black elements in the US mil/intelligence structure.

Or Mossad through infiltration...or.....too early to say.

But yes, face value acceptance, I think not.

GW

Are you willing to apologize to the familes of 9/11 who you crapped all over with your support of OBL conspiracy theories?

Wed, 12/01/2010 - 10:23 | 767548 Bring the Gold
Bring the Gold's picture

That's funny I saw the crapping all over families as 9 years of failure to deeply investigate key aspects of the event such as the money trail, failure to other than peripherially mention building 7 in the 9/11 commission report, the 9/11 commission saying that NORAD/FAA lied to them and on and on and on. Perhaps it's been the media pushing an answer before there was an investigation that bothered some people, perhaps it was the lack of investigating key things, or the destruction of material evidence (WTC steel melted down immediately), failure to investigate eyewitness accounts of explosions (the firefighters video on youtube that the NIST suppressed for 9 years is a good place to start). Yep it just goes on and on and on.

You sir are crapping on justice, common sense, and the dead of 9/11 and the Iraq/Afghan wars with your your pigheaded ignorance and failure to objectively analyze the situation and have any intellectual honesty and work ethic whatsoever.

As the cat in the tie and glasses says on the internet meme "GTFO and take your fail with you".

Incredible truths. There are times when the unbelievable (incredible) truth not only can but should be used.
Among these occasions are:
  • When the psychological operator is certain that a vitally important event will take place.
  • A catastrophic event, or one of significant tactical or strategic importance, unfavorable to the enemy has occurred and the news has been hidden from the enemy public or troops.
  • The enemy government has denied or glossed over an event detrimental to its cause.

A double-cutting edge. This technique has a double-cutting edge: It increases the credibility of the US/friendly psychological operator while decreasing the credibility of the enemy to the enemy's target audience. Advanced security clearance must be obtained before using this technique so that operations or projects will not be jeopardized or compromised. Actually, propagandists using this technique will normally require access to special compartmented information and facilities to avoid compromise of other sensitive operations or projects of agencies of the US Government.
Though such news will be incredible to the enemy public, it should be given full play by the psychological operator. This event and its significance will eventually become known to the enemy public in spite of government efforts to hide it. The public will recall (the psychological operator will "help" the recall process) that the incredible news was received from US/allied sources. They will also recall the deception of their government. The prime requirement in using this technique is that the disseminated incredible truth must be or be certain to become a reality.
Gee... I wonder who came up with these?

Brzezinski raises the central question about Wikileaks on The News Hour:

http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/government_programs/july-dec10/weakileaks...

ZBIGNIEW BRZEZINSKI: The real issue is, who is feeding Wikipedia on this issue -- Wiki -- Wiki -- WikiLeaks on this issue? They're getting a lot of information which seems trivial, inconsequential, but some of it seems surprisingly pointed.

JUDY WOODRUFF: Well, what are you referring to?

ZBIGNIEW BRZEZINSKI: Well, for example, there are references to a report by our officials that some Chinese leaders favor a reunified Korea under South Korea.

This is clearly designed to embarrass the Chinese and our relationship with them. The very pointed references to Arab leaders could have as their objective undermining their political credibility at home, because this kind of public identification of their hostility towards Iran could actually play against them at home.

JUDY WOODRUFF: And what is it -- what are you worried about with regard to the knowledge that...

ZBIGNIEW BRZEZINSKI: It's not a question of worry. It's, rather, a question of whether WikiLeaks are being manipulated by interested parties that want to either complicate our relationship with other governments or want to undermine some governments, because some of these items that are being emphasized and have surfaced are very pointed.

And I wonder whether, in fact, there aren't some operations internationally, intelligence services, that are feeding stuff to WikiLeaks, because it is a unique opportunity to embarrass us, to embarrass our position, but also to undermine our relations with particular governments.

For example, leaving aside the personal gossip about Sarkozy or Berlusconi or Putin, the business about the Turks is clearly calculated in terms of its potential impact on disrupting the American-Turkish relationship.

Woweeeee....the PBS news hour, where 87% of the "guests" belong to the Council on Foreign Relations (as does Zbiggy), where occasionally the substitute the "liberal guest" with an actor.

Jeepers!  I guess that proves it when the Petroleum Broadcasting System agrees with you, no doubt their next guest was eithe Richard Perle, taking time time off from his busy schedule as a director with American Friends of Bilderberg, Inc., or maybe it was Billy-willy Crystal, humm?

Gee, I guess Zbig doesn't get much action at the Center for Strategic and International Studies anymore, and David kicked him off his Trilateral Commission after that interview Zbiggy gave to that French news magazine.

Look,

Every once in a while you hear in the news echoes of pedophillia, child rape, rape, etc... about Mr. Assainge.

Why is this?

Also, he flys everywhere on commercial flights and yet nobody knows where he is?

WTF does he have a "magic passport" or something?

This whole story is so full of shit... It now has brown eyes.

Something is really fishy about this Wikileaks shit. I don't know what the fuck is going on anymore as there is so much noise one can't discern fact from fiction. When things get like this, I resort to my internal bullshit detector. It's screaming at me every time I read about Wikileaks.

There are a million ways he could have gotten the data... Hell he could have used a camera phone (which are also verbotten in siprnet areas) and taken pics of the screen for all I know.

I won't bother with looking at the documents, as they make no difference to the outcome of anything I can effect.

IMHO this is TPTB telling us that we can know their secrets and we are still powerless to stop them or do anything about it.

Just like the Matrix... They count on the human trait of seeking known comfort over unknown anything.

Them -- Here is what is really going on...

Us -- Ohhhh shit... I didn't want to see that.

Them -- Is that disturbing for you to know?

Us -- Oh my god yes.... Take me BACK! I want tasty digital steak! I don't care if it is an illusion...

Them -- OK, we told you you wouldn't like it...

US -- Take US BACK to ILLUSION NOW!

You can know the truth... It won't make any difference other than make you miserable, you would rather not know it.

Once you do know it, you are contaminating to the "System" and will be "exiled" from the System.

Once exiled, most will want to return to the "System"

They are telling us NOT to eat that red pill... We can't win and the most we can hope for is a stalemate that leaves us eating gruel while they still rule the illusion for the rest of the masses.

These guys downloading shit off of siprnet and then dump it up on some tor and nobody gets hammered?

I don't buy it.

I have experience in IA. I can tell you that it isn't that easy to get data off of these networks.

Somebody ALLOWED this to happen. Somebody in a position of power.

In any event, just try this at home... If you have siprnet at work, look for a node with a USB slot or some way to get data tranferred... You won't find one... They don't use systems that allow for export of data outside the net. No slots, no nothing.

Just act like you want to get data off these systems... You will be sitting in leavenworth before the end of the week.

I don't buy the Wikileaks BS. Sorry.

What will happen IF this garbage is legit is it will squarely place the blame for most of the banking disater on a couple of rouge CEO's of some major banks and hedge funds etc. Then they will hold the pagent on teevee for the zero discernment club of the zombie moron viewing public demonizing and destroying the poor shmucks who are chosen to earn their pay (Because this is what they are paid for. Maybe....but it could be more complex than this.  After all, BofA is connected to BlackRock, and BlackRock is connected to Timothy Geithner and the Clintons (their investment in Quellos Asset Management, which was supposed to be under investigation at the time, then its immediate purchase by BlackRock, driving up the Clintons' investment, plus throwing off that investigation).

It is simply CEOs ... there is NO apostrophe.

ONLY use an apostrophe to denote ownership, nothing else.  (Eg, "Jim's dog" or "Fred's car".)

Never ever use an apostrophe for plurals.

I am pretty sure that if Mr. Assainge was not "permissed" to release these documents, he would have met an unfortunate demise long ago.

Polonium tea? Electorcution? Car Accident? Accidental Self Strangulation?

TPTB are not exactly toothless. Do you honestly think that they would allow this type of disclosure without putting up a fight if they were not in on it? Really?

The fact that the MSM runs a rape or child sex story on Mr. Assainge every month or so means that no one will be surprised when the story about him self strangulating in a Kuala Lumpur hotel room comes across the wires. There will most certainly be allegations of rent boys/girls being peripherally involved [See numerous related MSM articles] to further discredit him.

He is being protected.

Either by TPTB or by someone who is more than equally powerful.
