Dennis Kneale Show Cancelled
And this occurs even after he so correctly called the end of the recession... Life is so unfair. Yet it must go on. Our candidate for the new 8 pm spot: Amanda Drury, doing an overdub of the Porn Special. Over and over.

AWESOME NEWS.
"results surpassed analyst expectations"
Thats not nice he has feelings too yah know....
www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3WlgSF8lrk
Crikey, poor old Dennis. I guess being out of a job may change his perspective on the "economy" a little. Oh well.
Show Canceled? That's an upgrade in my opinion. Instead of 'Beaker', I decree that from now on Dennis Kneale shall be referred to as 'Graduated Cylinder'.
He graduated?
You mean manipulative people will use you like a condom and toss you aside?
No way!!!
ROFL ...
(edit) I predict a new gig as a dickweed.
ROFL. What a d$%k. Im sure Denninger is happy.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
HA HA HA HA HA HA; good fucking riddance motherfucker; the recession just got started fro your sorry ass HA HA HA HA HA HA; how does it feel to be, let me put it in your own words ( i know you're reading this ) " an unemployed loser " ?. Ok; Beaker has gone, CNBC - 1 moron to go.
Beaker...love it! :)
love it!!! well said CB. i enjoy a good bitch slap.
CB You may be assuming too much. His show was cancelled, but that doesn't mean he's off the CNBC payroll.
It may just mean that his sorry ass will be showing up more often on Power Lunch.
only one ? nah....many many more.
I vote for Joe Kernan to be next......
That remaining moronic ass clown would be no other than coke bottle glasses Larry King wanna be .......Kudlow.
This is the second worse news Dennis ever got. The first was when his father told him, " I should have pulled out, turned over, and shot you on the wall".
Is that you chumbawumba?
lol... Best comment of the year!
Ah, I can already feel the the globe cooling a bit from a slight reduction in hot air from CNBC.
Today the world is (marginally) a better place.
Well, he could always go back to that Muppet Show gig.
Hehe...
couldn't happen to a nicer moron .. except for maybe Crammer and Krudlow
That's a Great Start!
Jesus, even his departure note lacks intelligence, originality and charm.
i thought the same lizzy.
i saw the thread the other nite and wish a happy new year to you and yours!
also, perhaps dennis will start an anonymous blog, cuz if he does it under his own name, no one will likely show up.
Thanks Deadhead!
Dennis lacks the creative talent to sustain my interest for 30 seconds. Dude has zero game.
Regardless of anonymity, one must posses both wit and intelligence to create and maintain a successful financial blog. Since Dennis has neither (in spades), i believe he will take a pass on the blogosphere (benchmark it WAY to high unless he is looking to become a contributor to TMZ).
concur
Despite all these disparaging comments, I personally believe that a bright future for Dennis lies ahead in the "info-mercial" space.
I am sure that we will soon be seeing and hearing him sing (in his distinctly charming way) the praises of various kitchen gadgets, laundry detergents and exercise machines.
i'm sure if DK becomes a pimp he would pitch a bitch like a pro
DK does not have it in him to be a pimp however DK is better suited to be the Bitch.
I agree. Also Billy Mays is quite in his deadbed, so looks like he can fill in for him..
Yeah..that sucks was looking forward to the Jupiter Jack 2 infos..
"I've got Larry David coming out of the deli"
Larry, Larry what is it today? The Reuben?"
is there a better word for irony?
i can't say anything else now cuz i'm laughing my stones off.
I got one for you:
Schadenfreude
Highly excusable in this case.
Ahhh Schadenfreude I mark ALL my nadirs with it.
With permanent sharpies.
I'm hearing internet chatter on Deutsche Bank problems, 5000 euro withdrawl limits, hedge fund shorintg...
Anyone hearing anything?
yep.....the published reports so far has to do with the dutch gov't and the old abn amro paper....something may be up.
had a little problem with a lender in Japan last nite...trading was halted, but i went to bed and didn't follow up today...it was on bberg.
thanx
Aiful?
http://mdn.mainichi.jp/mdnnews/business/news/20090918p2g00m0dm019000c.html
yes, Aiful...I couldn't remember the name. Deserves watching as does DB.
and of course, my favorite, wfc. something is going on with wfc and it ain't pretty. not predicting collapse or anything due to most favored tbtf, group of 19 status. but, they got alot of squirming kitty cats in the bag and some are going to sneak out.
Nope but my spidey sense said deutsche bank problem last week.
Those rumours are since a week or so on hartgeld.com (German gold bug website, some links to english publications but main storys are in German)
There are letters to the editor stating the 5000 Euro cash withdrawal limit.
DB published their balance sheet today or a few days ago. Capial 31.9 bill. Euro, balance sheet 2.2 trillion Euro.
Danke, Gunther!
If Bob PissOnMe only had a show to be canceled. That would rock. Instead, we have to get his hot air completely at random ALL DAY LONG.
Let's feast and eat what we Kill....x
One wonders if he knew this before he made the speech, and cashed in on it? Hate to be cynical, but today t is standard faire.
haha! you don't hate to be cynical, admit it! especially about cnbc.
That's pretty shocking given the massive number of viewers he was pulling in.
How "massive" could it have been when CNBC, the GE subsidiary, was down 28% YoY? The September decline is even more pronounced: at a 37% decline in total viewers and a 26% decline in the 25-54 demographic.
Now THAT is massive.
More from Tyler on this here:
http://tinyurl.com/mdapsd
Not massive at all. Actually his numbers sucked.
How low?
The average for September was 103,000 Total Viewers and 35,000 in A25-54, both considered scratches on CNBC. (per Nielsen, a program will scratch on CNBC if it's below 123,000 Total Viewers and below 53,000 in A25-54)
"I shall return. I'll be back"
Just not at CNBC. Coming to a blogspot URL near you!
Great News!
This is a sign of recovery, at least for the common sense. Now where were we.. ah, the dollarcollapse!
Tyler:
Are you going to give him a spot as a contributor on ZH?
if that happens ( i WILL recognize the post with Beaker characteristics in them. i.e retardation ) i can say, for myself, that i would NOT read ZH anymore. But i think TD and the crew have some standard on who is eligible to write for ZH and who is not. And that standard is IMO, higher than captcha.
Don't overlook the information he may possess. First, if our assertions are correct that CNBC is simply a mouth for all the gun and dump currently undertaken, then he may hold some incredibly valuable information... potentially capable of verifying our fears. Second, again presuming our assertions are correct, he may very well be economically intelligent... we have no idea who the hell he is... he just acts like water in a pipe... bounded on all sides, rushing in a single direction.
Maybe this break in the pipe is his opportunity to set the record straight as to CNBC's MO and the level of journalistic integrity the institution possesses. After all, what the hell does he have to lose? That would stand to at least give him a base from which to launch a legitimate career... But then again, I'm sure his severance package is going to economically prevent him from doing so.
he still could redeem himself anonymously, and personal redemption is what matters.....
poor beaker - boo hoo hoo a boo hoo
Now he can attend to his true calling, a fluffer on a gay porn set.
And so I learn a new word!
I <3 ZH
The finest Edjamakashun institute on the web.
This is good news. Now CNBC, keep the broom going.
Who's next? Kudlow, Cramer, Maria, Pissonme, MLee, Squawk Box, Fast Money (new people) and please MCC and Missy F.
We can only hope.
Common, Melissa is hot. I'd do her anytime.
http://www.cnbc.com/id/28638149/ this guy on fast money is very sharp and doesn't bullshit around.
I can handle Seymour, the Najarians, KFine, and Adami, but MLee and "buy everything in the world" Terranova drive me nuts. I loved the Macke rants. And keep Grasso off of there. Something about that guy, I don't trust anything he says.
A lot of people would "do" MF, but that doesn't mean she's qualified. She is a little better when she's not with Kudblow.
if Bloomberg ever makes themselves as available as CNBC is, CNBC's days would be numbered, or they would be forced to make ALL the changes they should. i could never understand Why Bloomberg hasn't done this. If you don't know what I mean, its that CNBC comes with Basic Cable service, while Bloomberg can Only be viewed by those who pay for Premium service. This is the way it is on Comcast in the llargest viewing area of the nation. Anyone know why ? Is this intentional to make sure that most can only view CNBC?
GE has no problem whoring itself out to comcast, imho.
i stream bloomberg live from there website for free and love the changes they have made recently to the morning show with betty.
This just made my day! No one will be waiting for his comeback, that is for sure. It's the back of the unemployment line for him!
Can we cancel Ben and Timmy's freak-show next?
Maybe he could get a job as denninger's understudy. He probably got canned for sending so many people to MT.
TD, I'm sure you're crushed you never had an opportunity embarass him on the air
Please don't feed the troll.
new career as a ladyboy reporter
I've actually had a bad day - but this totally put a smile on my face!!
second career aa a ladyboy
He'll be picked back up by Fox.
He was a regular on Fox when he was at forbes.
Amanda Drury will be doing more US airtime at this rate to help slow the key demo slump!
more tits, less retarded cretins ( although the first does not exclude the later; but somehow makes it more bearable and less noticeable ( of course we're not talking about octomom Bertiromo here))
That's the best news I've heard in a while. That guy was a creepola! I'm also so glad speed-talker Dylan Ratigan is long gone. What a nut job. I still tune in occasionally to Squawk (mainly for a few brief seconds each morning with Art Cashin).
And can someone get Maria Bartiroma a new line? I got so sick of hearing, "I guess we'll have to leave it there, gentlemen" that I made the switch to Bloomberg, where interviews last longer than 15 seconds.
This is real green shoots!
"i shall return. i'll be back. hasta la vista baby."
who's he talking to?
Himself.
Replace him with the real Beaker.
over on Dealbreaker, you can see his whole message.
Unfortunately, he will be back on Power Lunch, 12-2, and isn't outright fired.
1 down, 578 to go.
Does this mean that the recession isn't over after all?
You guys are all wrong. Kneale had one of the funniest shows on television and his comedic wit and genius was unappreciated by Americans and he will be sorely missed. His "the recession is over" bit was funny every time. You are the same people who gave Jerry Lewis the bum's rush too and we think that pretty much says it all. Your food sucks too.
Allez vous faire foutre
Signed,
the French
Ha ha ha ... avec plaisir mes amis... a la prochaine!
Victory is so sweet....
Poor Beaker...
I wonder if he will take this time to ponder about the real unemployment rate, now that he is soon to be included in the statistic. Possibly he can come to the conclusion that a real unemployment rate north of 16% probably means that the recession isn't going to end anytime soon.
So, maybe he takes this time to reflect on reality and how big of a douchebag he has been. Maybe he'll come back bigger and smarter than ever. Then, next time he gets a show he'll be able to articulate economics on a higher level than a Steve Leisman clone.
P.S.- Awesome Google search suggestions.
A recession is when your neighbor loses his job. A depression is when YOU lose your job...after calling the end of the recession.
Let that be a lesson. Do NOT mess with the blogosphere! You are just the first of many Kneale.
isn't he just going back to Power Lunch?
i went 'long' cuz of dennis kneale calling the end of the recession and a new bull market starting.
now what do i do? how do i know when to 'sell' and go short.
dennis? email me buddy..i need your guidance. i'm lost without you.
Didn't realize you had already posted this idea tyler - deleted.
Are you jealous Lizzy that it is always the stacked girls that get on tv? Never the smart ones?
How do you know that i am not stacked? and that i am not on tv?
Sounds like a 32 b cup to me, just told on yourself
Come to the Met after work, Lizzy. I'll settle this one for readers...
Nothing wrong with a perky b!
I would've guessed a 36 (you didn't think that was her age, did you?)
This thread looks to be quickly approaching the send me naked pictures zone. LOL
Can lizzy36 see twelve steps ahead or does she fall in the trap. More at 11. LOL
"This thread looks to be quickly approaching the send me naked pictures zone"
I can only hope.
"How do you know that i am not stacked? and that i am not on tv?"
Ok, I'll bite Lizzy (pun intended), are you?
Because beauty*brains=constant, and your IQ is clearly very high.
Now dump world national local expert Obama drooling economist green shoot less worse analyst reporter Steve Liesman.
Hopefully, NBC (the entire network) will be next to go. With ratings DOWN 37%, maybe GE will dump them too. CNBC is the poster child for everything wrong with this business.
I am sure you are all highly disappointed at the demise of a true courageous speaker of truth to power and brilliant economic commentator that was Dennis Kneale. It is an outrage that the clairvoyant stock picker and economic sage has been removed from the airwaves.
Now Dennis will have the opportunity to move onto Larry Summers "Big Idea" economic team or perhaps the Today Show as "Matt Lauer Lite" or a daytime game show hosting gig with J. Cramer.
Cramer is sure to agree to a revamping of classic game shows such as "High Rollers" "Let's Make a Deal" "Price is Right" or "Beat the Clock" as a vehicle for such power house personalities as Kneale and Cramer…
Maybe there is justice and fairness in this world.
Now that Dennis' show has been cancelled, he can go back to Knealeing for a living. Good riddance...
Happy Dickweed Day
Maybe Dennis can be a manager of an ACORN branch office...
Clearly, CNBC is betting against America.
At work now; can't link YouTube. Could someone post an honorary tribute to Beaker by linking the YouTube "muppets danny boy" vid?
gilgamesh ------> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irzOBTV0xTE
Priceless
omg I almost peed in my pants.
Unbelievably funny.
Not impressed. Posting Kneale's Twitter stream as if it's a reliable source. Yeah, Right.
I believe Dennis is right. Recession is over. Folks, let's call what is is.
And, so, it happens. Recession ends and Depression begins.
my contract to waterboard DK ..is still open...if anyone wants to accept it...
I hear beaker is on You tube right now listening to this.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ry4iwzS4Na0&feature=related
The constant sound effects emanating from the sphincter called CNBC is enough for me to wish their demise.
The program directors are clearly a pack of imbeciles.
Oh, come off it... Some of the comments above are just a bit to bullyish imo. Dennis Kneale might not have been the best economic anal-yst in the world, but his show for sure had its points.
For one, if i taped his show iy would keep my children glued to the TV-set for hours in a row. And no, I am not indoctrinating them to the world of economics just yet.
It´d only work if i turned the sound off and really, really cranked up my stereo set with the soundtrack from The Real Muppet Show! Nah mah nah mah, mah nah nah nah!!
Clearly this is a victory for the bulls?
Could they possibly be prevailed upon to fire Steve LIESman next?
Oh hell, I'll make them a list so they can do a clean sweep.
There won't be anyone left but Rick Santelli.
Lets get Wallstreetpro on the air!
This is THE chance! Wallstreetpro, this is your chance! We know you are reading this!
They can intro him by showing the highlights of his Youtube videos, and they can set up a nice 'wood shed'-looking set for him!
Dennis Kneale, why do I think you will soon disagree with your own assessment of the recession being over! Or is unemployment just a lagging indicator, LOL
I second that, and have Dick Grasso and Lloyd Blankfiend hanging from ropes on the first airing...lol
Dennis Kneale's show getting cancelled is really fucked up. His commentary was always insightful, unbiased and hard hitting. Frankly I find Tyler's constant vituperation (5 syllabels for thurgy, new high score) towards Kneale and CNBC is both distasteful and unwarranted.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8poxA5_x0hg
Why was this dolt on TV in the first place? Good riddance.
Get rid of that Fred Flinstone-looking idiot Leesman next.
Don't let Cramer smack you on the ass on your way out of the studio Mr. Dennis Fuktard...
CNBC fires Dennis Kneale?
That's called "A Start".
CNBC has lost all credibility with the public. They need to clean house. Everyone in America knows that we're living through the most manipulated, propagandized and politicized economy in American history.
Somehow the "journalists" at CNBC didn't get the memo.
they got the memo alright from Jeff himself
Now if we can only get rid of the rest of them.....
As tasteless going as he ever was as a waster of O2.
I hope they get rid of Kudlow and Cramer, the original sinners ( cheerleaders/douchebags/hot airs). Can't stand them a sec. It's been more than 6 months since i watched CNBC. I love my bloomberg radio (that too in moderation). I use net, where i can decide what i want to read.
2nd on Bloomberg radio - the best out there in the 6-9am slot and PM 3-6
Guys, seriously. This is no big deal. Dennis Kneale is only a lagging indicator.
Agreed that DK is a lagging indicator. A sort of populist bullshit artist.
This is really bad for the bulls. Worse, it's most likely the P3 event many have been waiting on.
Obama even called him a jackass, oh, sorry, thinking of someone else
Poll for the 8pm key demo candidate.
"Porn star" Ms Drury seems to been in the lead so far....
You are all acting like he was fired from CNBC. Just because his show was canceled doesn't mean they won't find some other obnoxious way to put him on the air.
I like Amanda Drury.I like her smiling personality.
She would be good for daytime CNBC.
Hopefully she wont start believing her own press and think she is an investment guru.
I dont believe she is a pro, at least not until I see a big wallaby tatoo on her bottom.
I could find a way to tolerate this.
The rumor is "Mandy" was being sounded out for a US slot while she was over in the US as Tyler seems to be highlighting?
Just have to keep Amanda & Becky Quick apart as its "Cats in a sack" time between the two.
cats in the sack... http://ic2.pbase.com/o6/99/752299/1/94540588.JxBeL9So.CRW_0873.jpg
he had a show??? I shut CNBS off for good late last winter but may return if they cancel the remainder of their schedule
Aw gee, I'm going to miss that show. I mean where else could you get the collection of stupid commentary like we have constantly seen from Dennis? I know what it is; CNBC just wants to get someone like FBN has that can help you get out of debt and tells you constantly that the "buy and hold" strategy for stocks is the only way to go and NOW is the time to buy real estate!
better than expected!
This will make my weekend.
