Did Former Richmond Fed President Broaddus Just Give The Go Ahead For QE3?

Tyler Durden's picture

While Bill Gross may be ignored, what a former Fed chairman is saying may be a just a little more important

  • BROADDUS SAYS ANY DISINFLATION MAY PROMPT FED TO CONSIDER QE3
  • BROADDUS SAYS FED UNDERSTANDING OF INFLATION HAS IMPROVED
  • FORMER RICHMOND FED CHIEF BROADDUS SPEAKS ON BLOOMBERG TV

Now what?

(and no, his first name is not Calvin).

Yes, QE is woking as planned.

Most people just don't understand the (real) plan.

QE Trillion-plus4 won't do squat. This isn't a fix, it's a waste of time.

How about tearing down the Multitude of Ponzi's that surround everyday life in the USA and around the globe. Break them up, let the pain be released and then let the building of a better tomorrow begin.

If you don't take they pain, you'll never have actual gains in the future.

Sorry there IS NOT A PAIN-FREE ANSWER FOR ANY CLASS OF PEOPLE.

However more pain will undoubtedly hit the poor middle class unless they revolt.

Then the pain may be felt more to the upper-crusties!

LOL

A wise man once said, "Pain equals change"

People will not change their ways unless they feel the pain.

just change the way the CPI is measured....solved, next

Time to panic.

You have Ben's permission.

Just traded in a stack of FRNs for some shiny new PMs.  My silver stack is higher than my baseball cards now.

:D

Cognitive Dissonance's picture

I always feel a little "screw you" thrill deep down in my loins when I make my monthly PM purchase.

Wow, this morning's release was particularly rewarding. :>)

Nate Taggart's picture

Much more rewarding than a handle of rum...  At least the next morning.

Sokhmate's picture

do you recommend an online source to buy PMs with minimal markup? thanks.

swissaustrian's picture

So DISinflation is not transitory?

mayhem_korner's picture

And inflation is distransitory.

blindfaith's picture

so what the hell does this idiotic statement mean???

  • BROADDUS SAYS FED UNDERSTANDING OF INFLATION HAS IMPROVED
  •

Gosh, we're happy to hear that.

    augie's picture

While we are on the subject of distransitory inflation, I was just wondering if anyone could elucidate me on the "Calvin" reference in the original post by tyler.

    wandstrasse's picture

Snoop Dogg's former profession was central banker?? All rappers were criminals before they became rappers... but THAT criminal... ouch!

    Bob Paulson's picture

loving the snoop dogg reference here and i hope that more than 5% of people get it without googling it!

    aheady's picture

    Give me a large break.

    TempFlashback's picture

Thinking the same thing. Count me towards the five percent.

    GeneMarchbanks's picture

Calvin Broadus = Snoop Dogg. BTW nobody over 30 will even try to google anything like this. Good to see Tyler being playful just as the shitstorm hits.

    Cognitive Dissonance's picture

    I resemble that.

It's actually a little scary that I understood the reference and I'm well over 50. Then again Zero Hedge has taught me everything I know and Tyler has used the reference before.

    TGFT (Thank God For Tyler)

    GeneMarchbanks's picture

I stand corrected. CD you're a rare breed. I send much virtual love your way.

What's that?  How many Supreme Court cases have you won.

    blindfaith's picture

well, considering how many in South Florida are not doing somekind of criminal activity, it may be an improvement.

Dade, Broward, Palm Beach all about to loose US education funds for wide spread cheating on the f-cat.  Need some dope from a "doctor", S. Florida is the place to get it, but the governor won't allow prescription tracking.

Shuuush, a 10% commission and you are in business, no questions asked in any language.

    cougar_w's picture

Don't get it, I wouldn't know what to Google if I had to.

"Dog" has one "g" just so you know.

    aheady's picture

    Thank you for that, Cougar.

    GeneMarchbanks's picture

Thanks old man. One "g" in "Dog" ... got it.

"Don't get it, I wouldn't know what to Google if I had to." ------------ Told ya so.

    lettuce's picture

the extra 'g' is for gangsta

    Pez's picture

I'll see that on Jeopardy soon. "What is Gangsta, Alex."

    slow_roast's picture

The Fed couldn't come out the day after saying nothing of QE3 and announce QE3.  That makes no sense bitchez!

    DonnieD's picture

...which is exactly why it's happening, bitchez!

"FED UNDERSTANDING OF INFLATION HAS IMPROVED."

Really, is that using the Popperian hypothetico-deductive approach from a Keynesian theoretico-centric Weltanschuung?

Or is it just some more speculative, conjectural bullshit to cast the illusion that they understand what they do not understand?
