A Disillusioned 99'er Shares His Disappointment With The American Dream, Welcomes Death
"Mark", a member of the ever growing cadre of disillusioned, disenchanted and disgruntled millions of American unemployed, has written a letter shared by A Company of One, in which he explains the plight of 99'ers (those whose extended unemployment benefits are set to expire) in which he chronicles his plight and his terminal disappointment with the American system. One can only imagine how all the "99'ers" would feel if they did not have the benefit of living at least partially subsidized for 2 years in the socialist state of America. If Bahrain is any indication, where the government's attempt to purchase the love of its people just failed today, pretty soon not even the 99 weeks of EUCs will do much to suppress what is an unmistakably rising anger among the broad US population.
From Mark's letter:
To the unemployed, sick, disabled and poor:
Hello,
I'm unemployed over two years now, a 99er without any benefits for
three months. I followed Unemployed Friends almost from its start, never
posted until now, but am grateful for my time with you all. I did as
asked with calls and e-mails, etc. I've a confession to make to you all.
I'm a criminal.
I've obeyed the 10 commandments and all laws except: I'm unemployed
and that's now a crime, I'm poor and that's a crime, I'm worthless
surplus population and that's a crime, I'm a main street American
Citizen born and raised in the USA and that's now a crime, and I'm
euthanizing myself as I write this note -- so arrest my corpse. This
isn't a call for help, the deed is done, it's not what I wanted. Death
is my best available option. It's not just that my bank account is $4,
that I've not eaten in a week, not because hunger pangs are agonizing
(I'm a wimp), not because I live in physical and mental anguish, not
because the landlady is banging on the door non-stop and I face
eviction, not that Congress and President have sent a strong message
they no longer help the unemployed. It's because I'm a law abiding
though worthless, long-term unemployed older man who is surplus
population. Had I used my college education to rip people off and steal
from the elderly, poor, disabled and main street Americans I would be
wearing different shoes now -- a petty king. Hard work, honesty, loving
kindness, charity and mercy, and becoming unemployed and destitute
unable to pay your bills are all considered foolishness and high crimes
in America now. Whereas stealing and lying and cheating and being greedy
to excess and destroying the fabric of America is rewarded and
protected -- even making such people petty king and petty queens among
us.
Since the end of 2008, when corporate America began enjoying the
resumption of growth, profits have swelled from an annualized pace of
$995 billion to the current $1.66 trillion as of the end of September
2010. Over the same period, the number of non-farm jobs counted by the
Labor Department has slipped from 13.4 million to 13 million -- there is
no recovery for the unemployed and main street. We taxpayers have
handed trillions of dollars to the same bank and insurance industry that
started our economic disaster with its reckless gambling. We bailed out
General Motors. We distributed tax cuts to businesses that were
supposed to use this lubrication to expand and hire. For our dollars, we
have been rewarded with starvation, homelessness and a plague of fear
-- a testament to post-national capitalism.
Twelve years ago, I lost the last of my family. Ten years ago, I lost
the love of my life, couldn't even visit him in the hospital because
gays have no rights. I fought through and grieved and went on as best I
could. Seven years ago, I was diagnosed with Diabetes and Stage 2 high
blood pressure with various complications including kidney problems,
mild heart failure, Diabetic Retinopathy. These conditions are
debilitating and painful. I am on over eight prescribed medications,
which is very difficult without insurance and income. But I struggled on
and my primary caregiver was very pleased with my effort overtime with
my A1C at seven. Still these physical disabilities have progressively
worsened, and I have had a harder and harder time functioning in basic
ways. All the while, I give thanks to God because I know there are many
more worse off than me -- and I tried to help by giving money to
charities and smiling at people who looked down and sharing what little I
had.
I am college educated and worked 35 years in management, receiving
written references and praise from every boss for whom I worked. Yet,
after thousands of resumes, applications, e-mails, phone calls, and drop
ins, I've failed to get a job even at McDonalds. I've discovered there
are three strikes against me -- most 99ers will understand. Strike one
-- businesses are not hiring long-term unemployed -- in fact many job
ads now underline "the unemployed need not apply." Strike two -- I am
almost 60 years old. Employers prefer hiring younger workers who demand
less and are better pack mules. Strike three -- for every job opening
I've applied, there are over 300 applicants according to each business
who allow a follow up call. With the U3 unemployment holding steady at
9.6percent and U6 at 17 percent for the past 18 months, the chances of
me or any 99er landing a job is less than winning the Mega Million
Jackpot. On top of that, even the most conservative economists admit
unemployment will not start to fall before 2012 and most predict up to
seven years of this crap.
I believe the Congress and President have no intention of really
aiding the unemployed -- due to various political reasons and their
total removal from the suffering of most Americans, their cold-hearted,
self-serving natures. Had they really wanted to help us, they could have
used unspent stimulus monies or cut foolish costs like the failed wars
or foreign aid, and farm subsidies. The unspent stimulus money alone
cold have taken care of ALL unemployed persons for five years or until
the unemployment rate reached 7 percent if Congress and the President
really wanted to help us -- and not string us all along with a meager
safety net that fails every few months. In any case, if I were to
survive homelessness (would be like winning the mega-millions) and with
those three strikes against me, in seven more years, I'll be near 70
with the new retirement age at 70 -- now who will hire an old homeless
guy out of work for nine years with just a few years until retirement?
So, here I am. Long term unemployed, older man, with chronic health
problems, now totally broke, hungry, facing eviction. My landlady should
really be an advocate for the unemployed -- she bangs on my door
demanding I take action. A phone call and a "please" are not enough for
her -- she is angry. She is right to be angry with me, I am unemployed
-- as apparently everyone is now angry with us unemployed.
Two hundred and eleven and social services cannot help single men.
Food banks and other charities are unable to help any more folks -- they
are overwhelmed with the poor in this nation. So I have the "freedom"
to be homeless and destitute and "pursue happiness" in garbage cans and
then die -- yay for America huh? It's the end of November and cold. A
diabetic homeless older person will experience amputations in the winter
months. So I will be raiding garbage cans for food, as my body
literally falls apart, a foot here, a finger there. I have experienced
and even worked with pain from my diseases -- hardship I can face. I
just cannot muster the courage to slowly die in agony and humiliation in
the gutter.
I have no family, I have no friends. For the past two years, I've had
nobody to talk with as people who knew me react to the "unemployed"
label as if it were leprosy and contagious. I am not a bad person, in
fact people really like me. But everyone seems to be on a tight budget
these days and living in incredible fear. It is hopeless since we all
are hearing more and more that we unemployed are to blame for
unemployment, that we are just lazy, that we are no good, that we are
sinners, that we are druggies, yet we are the victims who suffer and are
punished while the robber baron banksters and tycoons become senators,
congress, presidents and petty kings. So the only option left for me is
merciful self euthanasia.
It is with a heavy heart that I have set my death in motion, but what
I am facing is not living. So off I go, I have made peace with God and
placed my burden on Jesus and He forgives me. This nation has become
evil to the core, with cold-hearted politicians and tycoons squeezing
what little Main Street Americans have left. It is not the America into
which I was born -- the land of the free and the home of the brave with
kind folks who help neighbors -- it is now land of the Tycoon-haves and
the rest of us have-nots who march into hopelessness and despair.
Every unemployed person I have met over these past two years have
been saintly. Sharing what little they have, and being charitable --
being kind and patient and supportive. Isn't it amazing that we
Americans who suffer so much, have not taken to the streets in violence,
riots or gotten out the guillotines and marched on tycoons and
Washington in revolt as would happen in most other nations? But rather
we plead with deaf politicians to please help us. We don't demand huge
sums -- just 300 bucks a week, barely enough to cover housing for most.
Most of all we say, please help us get a job, please allow us dignity.
I can't help but juxtapose our plight to the tycoons and politicians.
They are never satisfied with their enormous wealth, and always want
more millions no matter whom it hurts. They STEAL from pension funds,
banks, the people and government, and little Wall Street investors. Then
rather than face punishment, they become petty kings in this world.
They are disloyal to America, unpatriotic, and serve their own foreign
UN-American greedy causes and demand more and more and more. I feel that
this is not the nation into which I was born. I was born in America,
the land of the free and the home of the brave. America, where people
give as much as they receive. America, where all people work for the
common good, and try to leave a better and more prosperous nation for
the next generation. America, where people help their neighbors and show
charity and mercy. This new America is alien to me -- it is an America
of greed and corruption and avarice and mean spirited selfishness and
hatred of the common good -- it is an America of savage beasts roaring
and tearing at the weak, and bullying the humble and peacemakers and
poor and those without means to defend themselves. I am not welcome here
anymore. I don't belong here anymore. It's as if some evil beast
controls government, the economy, and our lives now.
I must go now, my home is someplace else. Goodbye and God bless you
all. God bless the unemployed and poor and elderly and disabled. God
bless America and the American people except the tycoons and politicians
-- may God retain the sins of tycoons and politicians and phony
preachers and send them to the Devil.

Snopes is run by douchebags with a definite liberal bias... but yes, this story sounds awfully made up.
snopes.com is propaganda
>>Am I the only one who thinks it's 100% propaganda?<<
no
Being a part time landlord myself, it did cross my mind. I never bang on doors demanding rent. Ether work out a solution or start eviction procedure. I send self addressed envelopes for my tenants along with a rent stub every month. Banging on doors is like from the '70s .
Speaking of the 70's and the couple of decades after, what happened to all those people who lost their jobs when the rust belt went under? You go to some cities, like Gary IN, and they are still ghost towns. Back then, it was mostly blue collar people losing their jobs.
I wonder, now, what is gonna happen to all these people? This is a different group. Many educated, in the work force for a long time, white collar. They are just gonna "disappear"?
The big waste is offing himself without taking some of the assholes with him. Are Americans really such big wimps now? He could have a least robbed a bank. Even if he got caught, jail provides 3 squares, a bed and med care. Why can't people here do what is happening in the Mid East?
Questions, more questions, very few solutions. Makes for rocky times.
I knocked on my tenants door. He failed to return my calls. I wanted to warn him he was about to be evicted. To give him time to move and save his household contents from being put on the street. I even left him a note prior to the eviction. Plus, he got court notices. He never responded and just looked shocked that he was being evicted. why would I feel sorry for him. He took no action. I at least would have rented a storage unit to put my stuff and moved it there.
You must rent in the better parts of town.
My enforcers , em collectors bang on doors every day.
We would never collect from some of them if not face to face.
I was thinking the same thing. Espcially when the part of him being gay was put in. As a side note though, there were 3 middle age men that commited suicide with in a month of each other in my Mom's hometown. All of them were divorced and they couldn't find new jobs and just lost hope. I'm not sure if Mark is real but people like him are.
I do have that suspicion. Even if propaganda, I think that it's worthwhile to have empathy for the plight of actual sufferers. We can have empathy and still recognize that there is a balance between an unjust world conspiring against them and their own failures.
It's propaganda from the Human side of the aisle.
Beware.
Nature makes no promises regarding your survival. Sad indeed how the Bernank and all those "ivory tower" economists still disregard market fundamentals and the laws of Nature. They can print to infinity and it will still remain a finite planet with very finite resources. At current population levels, it only takes a small supply chain disruptions to make things very bad for many people.
Hedge accordingly.
If this guy, age 60, was wiped out by two years of unemployment, how the hell did he expect to fund his retirement? Or did diabetes wipe out his big fat nestegg accrued over 35 years in management?
Yes. Yes it is.
Yeah this is a sad story and I feel bad for the guy. But hold on a second. How did he work "35 years in management" and not have any meaningful amount of money saved up??? No kids, obviously, so that can't be the reason why. And presumably he had some decent level of health care coverage during that time, as virtually all white collar workers do, so his lack of savings can't be attributed to health expenses. so WTF??
Health issues + House and Mortgage = Completely wiped out
From 'I am Legend' ---- Not too different from now, just changing couple of words....
All right, let me tell you about your "God's plan". Six billion people on Earth when the infection (Debt Tsunami) hit. KV (Debt default/hyperinflation) had a ninety-percent kill rate, that's five point four billion people dead. Crashed and bled out. Dead. Less than one-percent immunity (debt-free). That left twelve million healthy people, like you, me, and Ethan (without any debt). The other five hundred and eighty-eight million (with maxed out credit cards) turned into your dark seekers, and then they got hungry and they killed and fed on everybody. Everybody! Every *single* person that you or I has ever known is dead! Dead! There is no god!
While not questioning your mortality estimates, I think you underestimate how well armed the immune are compared to the dark seekers in your analogy. I am VERY optimistic that recovery will be relatively swift, much like but better than South Korea and Vietnam after their wars, once the institutional and infrastructural dead wood is burned away.
yes everyone has a god given right to perfect health and a mortgage that "society" pays for. oh my fucking god the comments here have certainly devolved into absolute geniusism
Believing in community is not a crime. Its the soul of civilization.
I'm sorry, I feel sympathetic to his plight but there are no guarantees nor entitlements. The government is not and should not be here take care of us. It's up to us to take care of ourselves and our local communities. Governments sole job it to provide for a secure environment where we can enjoy the freedoms to grow and prosper.
Yes the government is as corrupt as can be ,and "free markets" have morphed into something unrecognizable. But anybody who relies on government is also a slave to their whims.
Congratulations.
Yet another life destroyed by the statists.
Keep ignoring apodictic truths of economics. Keep clamoring for a socialist utopia, and reap the results.
Folks should stop using that term loosely--when the shit hits the fan they'll know some serious regret when they're ignored like the Little Boy Who Cried Socialist Wolf.
At the rate things are going, I won't be surprised if there's some real socialism in our future. Largely because of the capitalist freaks who ran the world into the ground and then drained the carcas for a couple more years under cover of red herring bitching about "socialism."
The man's lesson is that Big Government failed him as it will to every believer that Government will solve all problems. A hard lesson, but we will all be facing it soon. Except of course for the banksters, statists, and the corrupt.
Why were you junked? Who crawls these boards and junks perfectly reasonable comments. That is not the point of junking. If you don't like the comment or believe that Big Government/statism is good, then show yourself and say so and prepare to be verbally beaten.

Good question. And, especially good, your comment supports my answer. Argument is appropriate when the provocateur is open-minded. When they're not, however, it's a tedious waste of time. My guess is that many people have quite understandably adopted this standard. If you're a demagogue, you'll get junked.
Clearly this guy has more problems than just being unemployed. He claims that he is starving, but he has no other mouths to feed. He's a single gay guy. You're telling me he can't get a job even in fast food? Sounds like he has nothing to lose. Don't just give up and wait for the Feds to take care of you. That's the problem with people in this country, they always look for a handout.
Right, he should just grow some marijuana plants and sell them, or set up a food stand...Oh wait he can't because that would be illegal(cant afford the licence for the food stand). Get a life dude, the only people looking for a handout are the corporations, the common man in america just wants to work and live his life. Corporations and Government stop him from doing that.
Obviously you didn't read the letter. The whole thing is a complaint about the government not giving him anymore unemployment benefits even thought they still give money to corporations. Learn to read.
If he were to rob a bank, he would get his three hots and a cot and good free medical for the rest of his life.
Plenty of companionship, too.
They don't call us the Great Satan for nothing. :-(
By not producing off spring he has guaranteed he will have no one to help support him in old age. America is going to learn, the hard way, why many children are insurance for one's old age in the third world. It will be interesting to see how this plays out given the fractured nature of our families as 50% of married folks end up divorced...
exactly!! well said.
This is a sad letter. And, I suspect, contrived. But nonetheless, to the point.
He should have moved to North Dakota, where there are jobs. Lots of them. For everybody.
contrived... i say 70/30 odds that it is. that's how little trust i have in the infopium i'm being fed these days.
that said, i'm sure there are enough folks that suffer the various parts of a similar whole, that we ignore the possibility/situation at our collective peril.
My GOD.
North Dakota?!? Have you ever been there for a few days? GAH!!
You are a cruel mofo, dude.
Pulled alert in EC-135s at Minot AFB, ND, in another life. One morning the klaxon went off and we ran to the plane only to have just two of our four engines start. It was -30ish, just before sunrise. As the sun came up, the wind picked up and the wind chill took it down to about -65. One of the engines that didn't start had a sheared starter shaft. The maintenance guys had to work out on that wind swept ramp, replacing that starter. We were freezing up in the cockpit with a heater hose up the crew entry hatch. Don't understand how those guys survived working out in the open. Totally agree. Much better to shoot yourself that live in a place that gets that stupid cold.
The heartlessness displayed in some of the posts here responding to this mans predicament is beyond sickening.
Just keep this in mind...for every one man like the author of this letter, there is another that will chose to turn to crime to survive. So when that man come to rob you, just quote him some of the bullshit you have stated in your replies here...as he pistol whips you...justifiably.
motherfuckers.
+46 million
No amount of indifference justifies violence.
Or would you pistol whip God himself?
If he had it coming?
Somebody's gotta do it.
A person would likely end up dead if said person tried to rob me.
Before he is able to pistol whip anybody his ass will be split in two - justifiably.
And I won't waste any breath quoting jackshit.
this is fake.........the story line may be real and the facts and the truth but this guy sis bullshit which only supports the calls that everything is ok....
I call BS on this whole letter. Its seems to be one long string of Far left memes.
So if it were real, you'd have to accept the "memes?" Perhaps you're just full of shit.
Not saying you are, but somebody's gotta be.
I don't expect a lot of these folks to go away without a fight. Some may just decide to take others with them. If I were a banker, a fed chair or a low like congressman, I would be adding more security right about now.
"Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them."
You know some may say "get a job, or suck it up you deserve no entitlements" and I say you'd be right. That is you would be right if America had a free economy, and not a corporatist one. The little man is so disadvantaged in an economy such as ours, it is near impossible "to pick yourself up by the bootstraps" because only seconds later will you get "stepped on by a corporate dickhead". Until the federal reserve is abolished, drugs are legalized, and there are no corporations, america will never have a free market, or anything resembling. Telling this man, or others to just suck it up would be equivilant to telling someone back in soviet russia that their poor condition is their own fault and that they should just "pick themselves up by the bootstraps"
+1000
After reading few of the comments here I have to sadly admit the man in his letter was right! I hope none of you "gold/silver/super-investor" bugs will ever get in such situation, it would be interesting though to see how you do!
Not all of us out there are educated, wealthy or have been born in a well to do family, there are always going to be "some weaker" folks among us, it is our fucking DUTY to take care of OUR OWN as do the RICH stealing from the rest of U(s)! Be nice to your next, fuck knows when YOU are going to need a place to stay and a bowl of food!
I am still young and educated and know what I need to do but still, I would never believe that I can BE ALONE do IT ALL alone etc. I was born in a former communist country, fled it at age 16 got a degree in economics and did well for myself, but guess what? I did not do it all by myself, there is always someone giving you "a hand", that's called being at the right time in the right place, many of us weren't and yet they do not deserve something like this guy! Stripped of everything including dignity, honor, respect!
Anyone here posting garbage should re think his/her attitude!
Dude, calm down. The letter is fake.
One, you have no idea if the letter is fake. Two, even if fake, it does accurately portray events for the poor in America. The ability for many posters to wipe the slate of this person's life as so much blood on the table is disturbing.
If government was not so active in stealing our labor and production for the benefit of some banker fucks that should be strung up in celebration, this man and others like him could be enjoying a modicum of comfort and retirement.
Tyranny is the face of international banking, the US government and now, it appears, the posters incapable of compassion. If this is the direction we are continuing to run, I think I will move 180 degrees.
You are addressing two completely different subjects in your rant. So let me respond.
If a Mexican, illegally in the US can make a living for themselves, that "college educated, middle management gay guy" surely can. I personally know a few Mexicans living in the US running little businesses and prospering. So, cry me a fucking river. My comments have been about the wasted self-pity effort of writing a letter and then offing yourself. He accomplished nothing.
I do agree that we are a corporate own nation of crony capitalism. I do agree that they are stealing our wealth. How the hell suicide solves that escapes me. The letter writer is a coward. Whether the letter is real and he killed himself (good riddance) or he is just trying to create anecdotal evidence of the evils of America (because they cut him out of .gov goodies) is immaterial. He cries because in the 35 years he worked in management, he failed to accumulate a nest egg. He claims to be gay (no kids) yet has no savings. He did not take any action during the 99 weeks to retrain into a critical skill, move to where the jobs are or start his own business. What the hell did he learn during his 35 years in management? Now he demands that .gov picks my pocket to continue sustaining his now unproductive life. Sorry, no dice.
Oh BTW, I have NO obligation to care for anyone outside my family. I make a moral decision to do so when warranted.
The point of my "rant" has nothing to do with his cowardice or inability to get a job. It is the total lack of compassion exhibited by posters. Start a business? Really, with 4$, no home and no food with a medical condition? You compare this with mexican? whom people are willing to hire to get a better deal, often supported as part of a group? Probably healthy. Get a clue.
I do not believe in government handouts- I don't believe in government period. I believe he created a bad situation for himself with terrible choices. Nor do I believe I have an obligation to support him. I DO believe we need to be capable of compassion for those that are incapable of conducting their lives successfully- because not everyone is a success.
Further, if we are going to bail out bankster criminals to the tune of trillions of dollars- this guy comes first. If we're going to bailout corporations and industrial farming- this guy comes first. If we are going to wage war and murder countries filled with innocents just to guarantee resource supplies- this guy comes first.
Finally, as long as the elites can turn us against each other- they win. Case closed. Then, guess what- all your whinning about independence will be nothing more than pissing in the wind. You'll being wearing shackles, but this guy won't- because this guy left first.
Thank you.
"Dude"! I feel awfully pity for you, you did not learn anything!
It does not matter at this point if the letter is fake or real, what's all about it, that's
VERY FUCKING REAL!!!
Check your brain, make sure you NEVER EVER get in this situation...and have no one
to turn to! Gees!
This letter was written and floated out on the internet to get people fired up and I guess it worked. If I felt like it was real I'd have empathy. But the fact the story touches on every liberal talking point, it makes me suspicious. I just wouldn't get too fired up by the troll postings who claim that people don't deserve help and should die. I seriously doubt these people are as big of assholes as their posts. Maybe I'm wrong on that, though.
Or you're a troll?
ANYONE can participate in the unofficial economy, and make enough to survive that way. Look into it. Your local farmers market is a good place to start.
I know several "broken down old men" who make a good living this way. Tough to tax barter.
It was tough to tax waiters and waitresses until they decided it was worth it, but I know what you mean.
Totally agree. While I wasn't born in a former communist country, I was born on the wrong side of tracks and was the first in my family to go to university. And yes, I got plenty of helping hands and sometimes, when I look back, it seems that luck played a role as well. Because of my experience I agree with Cog Diss when he says a society should be judged by how they treat its weakest members. And it does lead to a healthier society. I don't support generational welfare but when someone has been a contributing member of society for 30 years and ends up needing some help because of an economic crisis not of their making ... show some compassion!
He doesn't know how right he is.

The people who run our country hate us. The United States of America is a source of revenue for the International Project and nothing fucking else.
when the farmer develops empathy for his cattle, it makes the culling of them difficult, which defeats the purpose of the profit-making enterprise. . . the cattle must be seen as profit only.
eventually there will be blood, slaughter.

We don't use the American System
We use the BRITISH SYSTEM
So what is wrong with America? We turned British. British Monetarism. British *Austerity....who do you really think gave the austrians this idea???*. British Corporation (the form of).
Where's America? Hell if I know. We used to believe in our own ideas. Now we've imported everything else.
No Glass-Steagall, instead lets print or be austere...needlessly (and with no effect on the overall). That's Keynesian and Austrian right there. Either print to pay off fraudulent debt, or make budgets cuts to shift tax revenue to pay off fraudulent debt. Neither do EITHER monetary side try to determine whether the debt is LEGITIMATE. It isn't.
What do we need to cut? BAD DEBT.
Through Glass-Steagall *17 trillion of TODAY'S debts*
Cancel the bailout guarantees (as well)
Or we can follow FAILED TIME AFTER TIME BRITISH MONETARISM. The queen of england lied last year, monetarism is NOT the best form of economy. (the queen said it WAS). WWI was caused by? WWII? Civil War? Vietnam? Gulf war? War on terror? what do all these (and many others) have in common? They are a direct result of MONETARISM.
Wake up people, what does America do that's actually American anymore? We're not running American capitalism, we're running British Imperialism(under the incorrect guise of....globalization).
As always, glass-steagall will destroy the bad debt and british system, worldwide, in seconds.
The government screws the economy into the ground through robbery and red tape, and then Americans cry out for more more welfare, aid, and services from the government.
Do Americans suffer from Stockholm syndrome?
Yes, mostly.

So, here I am. Long term unemployed, older man, with chronic health problems, now totally broke, hungry, facing eviction. My landlady should really be an advocate for the unemployed -- she bangs on my door demanding I take action. A phone call and a "please" are not enough for her -- she is angry. She is right to be angry with me, I am unemployed -- as apparently everyone is now angry with us unemployed.
Dear Sir,
The problem is....your landlady most likely has to pay property tax, maintenance and maybe even a mortgage payment. She may be facing loosing the dwelling because you cannot pay and won't leave.....add to that the fees for evictions in Florida have doubled. Hell, we can't even afford to evict people here. Best to burn the house, at least she can collect the insurance IF she can afford insurance.
Good luck Mark! Where's all the stories like Mark's in the MSM?
I think it's safe to say that if George Bush were still president the MSM would be plastered with daily news stories about the long lines of the miserable and unemployed people. We'd be seeing people just like Mark up close telling their sad story on NBC as a victim of greedy economic policies. We'd be seeing daily interviews of the people that are getting kicked out of their homes after being foreclosed on. It would endless and it would be daily and hourly.
Yes, Obama is the liberal MSM's favored son, but the economic reality is being biased, it's being completely disappeared. Any economic news reporting seen is done to willfully misinform and hide the Marks out there.
.
Wake up. NBC, CBS, Fox, ABC are all giant corporations owned by even bigger corporations. How many employees will buck their bosses and stay employed? There is no such thing as 'the liberal media'. Obama is not a liberal. Our government's policies are not liberal. What we have is governance of the corporations, by the corporations and for the corporations. That, my friend, is the essence of fascism, not 'liberalism'.
You need to get out of the hole and look at the big picture. None of our 3 branches are actually looking out for the people, but rather their corporate masters. Trying to score points about whether our stupid media skews left or right is irrelevant. They skew corporate.
I fully agree with those who commented that this was "sad".
I agree because this guy spent 35 years making good money in a management position, yet after 99 weeks, cannot survive under his own steam? Really?
I am 47 years old and work in a high middle management position. I have been setting my self up since I had an economic epiphany six years ago. I could [at this point] go five or six years on my savings. The fact that he is so depressed and cannot find the strength to go on is a terrible thing, but in my view, he set himself up for it. By not saving any appreciable amount of money over his 35 year tenure in the workforce, he was doomed to failure well before becoming unemployed.
Those who believe the "system" will rescue you, I say good luck.
To those who are preparing themselves, saving money, storing food and taking delivery of physical precious metals, I say congratulations. You have seen the light and realize that Uncle Stosh is not here to help.
i dont think anyone here feels that this person (if true) deserves to be kicked to the curb but it is just that the the whole system is corrupt and wil take everyone out eventually. how are the riched walled off in secure compounds going to get manufactured goods when china closes down?
look at what happened in russia when their gov stopped...it will be much worse here because we will just lay down and die.....
Actually, not much happened there. I was 15 in 1991 when USSR brokedown and hyperinflation raged up to 1994. People survived through gardening, gathering, flee-market trading, collecting whatever income they can find. There were NONE economically-driven revolts probably due to the number of reasons.
First, people were mostly able to survive because there were considerable number of small plots of land to garden (600 m2 ~ 0.148 acre) on the cities outskirts plus subsidized transit to these plots.
Second, people were able to cannibalize/steal from public domain. Most factories / collective farms became "enterprises" and their assets were (i) sold off as scrap for foreign currency and/or (ii) got stolen by shareholders ("privatized fractions of pennies on the dollar"). Lion share of that went to the management, but little guys were able to get some crumbs too.
Third, people were "gifted" whatever apartments they had at that time as a private property with no property taxes attached (overwhelming majority of properties were crap by US standards, i.e. 700 sq. ft 3-rooms "condo" in a high-rise were considered "high-end").
Fourth, subsidized utilities. Utilities started to approach marked value only in 2000s.
Mortality, did spiked and in that time "demographic" losses were on the order of 6 million, for population of ~150 million (data for Russian Federation not USSR as a whole), but there were no bodies on the streets, and beggars were con artists it seems.
Sometimes, I have a feeling that USSR breakdown was a lab test to develop technology of "country dis-assembly" to be applied worldwide.
thank you for writing of your observations/experience, pvzh. . .
you can probably see why many here might be worried/in denial about the upcoming years in amrka, given that housing/utilities form a major part of "living expenses" for most, there is little history of "gardening" (which is not hard, but requires some knowledge), and even some towns/cities have regulations against digging up "lawns" to plant food, or keep chickens etc. (admittedly if things fall apart, one hopes the regulations die too). . .
your "country dis-assembly" thought is most likely true, especially since the IMF boys (*cough* jeffrey sachs) were right there for the takedown, yeah.
What a waste. When I go I'm taking some fucking bankers with me.
ftw!
The really really sad part is that it sounds as if at some point he had expected the President and Congress to help.
May God help Mark, and may God provide us with the same strength and resolve to change the way our country is being governed.
This man died because he had no representation in government . Power needs to be reduced to the lowest common denominator . The House of representatiives should have a representative for every 50 people. Nobody needs to go to Washington they just need a computer with a secured internet connection . Real democracy with real local representation would put an end to all of this . There has got to be a better way .
Most people who write notes dont kill themselves. I see 200 people a year who claim they are suicidal. So far only.six have gone through with it. That is the typical experience of mental health professionals. I will bet 100 bucks to one he is still alive.
You're a psychiatrist? I'm a psychologist. Small world.
FWIW, I'd bet half of what I own with you on this one. But that's still just one man's guess. Or two.
You really think this one is real? The odds are against it a successful completed suicide.
No. Of course, the odds are always against suicide, but still. You a psychiatrist?
Okay .This man has suicidal tendancies because he had no representation in government . Power needs to be reduced to the lowest common denominator . The House of representatiives should have a representative for every 50 people. Nobody needs to go to Washington they just need a computer with a secured internet connection . Real democracy with real local representation would put an end to all of this . There has got to be a better way. Is that better ?
If you don't turn into a spamming machine, my friend. Invest some time here . . .
I have invested a lot of time here . I just don't like getting in the middle of this mess most of the time . Today I do.
Good.
Mark -
Go to any church... they will give you money, food, and maybe even a job.
Go to a land rich church and ask if you can plant a grub stake in exchange for sweeping the church.
Go to a town and see if they have a poor farm, most towns in New England still have them.
Just don't depend on the government for help anymore.
This is why people should hang onto their clownbux tenaciously. Pick whom you hire/help carefully. Real people are hurting for the very fedresnote we disparage daily. Have a heart and don't condone violence for the right people never end up getting hurt and it is bad karma. Peace to this dude.
amen brother
Who knows what the "rest of the story" is, how this person came to the place he now finds himself. I find this kind of posting NOT helpful. It asks for a judgment to be made without any facts behind it. There are many people who find themselves in dire circumstances as a result of their own doing both in their physical and fiscal conditions. Then there are people who truly suffer exceptional hardships not of their own doing. I find I am more calloused at my advancing age about the sad predicaments in which people find themselves because many times the person has cavalierly and singlehandedly orchestrated his own demise. Whether this person is one of those I have no idea.
Well, a lot of older buttfags are in poor health and depressed because of their inability to get young assholes any more.
That notwithstanding, if you were that desperate and you pointed the finger of blame at certain people, why would you not try to enact retribution or make a broader statement? Burn a tire around your neck or something if the whole suicide thing is your way. Otherwise, take action against those who are to blame.
Mark is that you? Yes, I am the Landlady. I bought this property for my Retirement and now live on the income. I still owe a Mortgage and have to pay Property Taxes and water bills. I live on the little that is left but when you do not pay the rent I have to spend money to support the property and you. You are not related to me and I owe you nothing. You claimed that you had sufficient income to pay the rent when you moved in.
You said that you did not pay the rent in December because you had to give your Nieces and Nephews Christmas gifts and of course you had to eat. What you do not realize is that without your rent I could not buy Christmas present for my Children and I had to cut down on what I eat. I can never rent the property for last December and January so it is a non recoverable loss for me.
I worked for over 40 years just to buy this property for my retirement and you have no right to usurp the value of time you spent in the property without paying rent. Oh, by the way the people that evicted you cost me over $700. as you failed to move after getting a warrant of restitution. It also cost me over $100. in Rent Court to file against you. You left me with over 3 years of crud on the tub, stove, carpet and broken windows and total abuse of the property that will cost me over $1,200. to repair. Also, about $300. in utility bills you did not pay me.
So, feel sorry for yourself. I happen to feel sorry for myself as you caused me to lose over $1,500. in lost rent, $100. in filing fees, $700. in moving and disposal costs for your stuff, $300. in utility bills you did not pay and $1,200. in repairs. Total cost to me of $3,800. Plus, it will take me a month to clean up your mess and that will cost me another $735. Total loss $4,535.
landlady - you are a piece of Sh*t...you got a 125% loan with no down and havent made a payment on th emortgage for 3 years and you expect your tenants to pay rent? you also havent paid the property taxes and have spent the money on a leased bmw for your step daughter....
fuck you AND your "creative writing," hannah. this is a discussion about REAL people. not headline whoring

"There but for fortune go you or I."
The lack of empathy by some here is exactly the core of the situation this man has faced. I hear his cries clearly. I understand them. I see them in action every day.
People who keep ignorantly harping that the unemployed should get a job obviously don't understand mathematics (there are far fewer jobs available than people unemployed), nor do they understand the current job culture. They probably also don't understand that people getting unemployment are prohibited from getting training, unless they are approved from a special program within the first 60 days. Tell me that isn't bureaucratic insanity.
Welcome to the U.S. of G.S.
Before you condemn us for our lack of empathy, take a look at what he said. He spent 35 years in a middle management job, yet after only 99 weeks of unemployment he had nothing but unpaid bills. Why did he not put aside a portion of his pay in savings? Where is the 401-K money? Ok, he lived alone for the last ten years, as a result of his wifes death. This means his salary for the eight years after her death but before his unemployment, he was supporting only himself. Again, where are his savings?
We are not so much without empathy as we are without patience. I am growing weary of the tales of woe and misery. My family lives within our means and saves a significant portion of our money. When the shit hits the fan, we will be able to survive under our own steam for a number of years. There are many here like me; folks who are prudent and realize that the government is here, they are just not here to help.
This appears to be an exaggerated story to tug at all the right emotions.
Not to be nit-picky, but the guy was gay. His partner passed away.
"Ten years ago, I lost the love of my life, couldn't even visit him in the hospital because gays have no rights."
~Misstrial
Yeah....I missed that, my bullet. What can I say? I'm a serial hetero.
No worries.
btw, I'm wondering why he didn't apply for Disability. From his descriptors, he had medical problems that would have prevented him from working.
~Misstrial
Really?
God help us if everyone with diabetes and stage 2 high blood pressure are considered disabled.
He couldn't work in a call center, etc?
no kidding on the disability. it seems nearly 3/5 of the clients coming through my door are "disabled". getting that check. i've never figured it out, most of them look healthy enough to load trucks but they stroll around every day watching tv and bebopping around. most have newer cars with leins, bought houses in the bubble and have a getover sort of smirk.
I guarantee you he has already applied for disability and been turned down.
Good question. Perhaps he will not accept conning to survive (he doesn' have a lot of respect for the banks) and he knows he can still do some kind of work. Not only would that be a possible issue for him, particularly since he's been affirming that he's able, ready and available every two weeks for the past 99 in order to get his unemployment checks, but it would definitely disqualify him from disability.
Being "disabled" per se doesn't qualify you. Being unable to work because of a disability is the requirement. SS is very sensitive about people using the program as a substitute for unemployment compensation or welfare.
That said, if he wanted to "take a dive" and try qualifying by exagerating his disability, he'd have to survive without money for 18 months (average) before he got a check . . . if he were successful, which he could not know until he gets the check.
He's fucked.
Because the whole letter is a sham with the sole intention of getting good people to argue endlessly from two equally valid perspectives.
The letter writer condemns humanity for lack of concern for him but seeks aid from a government that he believes failed him. This sums up the confusion he is seeking to induce in good people to cause division. If he really felt it was government's responsibility to support him and it was government that failed him, then his ire should have been directed at government not humanity.
If I believed this had been a real letter by a really depressed individual then I would say that he failed himself and that humanity had also failed him in that not a single person had the compassion to help this sick individual. I would not say that government had failed him since it was never government's place to be compassionate. If 99 weeks is the current mandate, then government did its part.
You can’t have it both ways, but the letter writer tries to create hostility between productive people as they take up sides along the line that the letter writer has created. Don’t ever let him or any other asshole do this to you. Call him to task.
Selfish bastards are selfish bastards regardless of where they come from. Dishonest bankers and dishonest borrowers are both dishonest fucks that need to go to jail.
The two groups that are arguing here should have never allowed others to create the sides and dictate the argument.
'We are not so much without empathy as we are without patience.'
that's a big problem..that kind of patience made good germans.
and Jews
Apparently this guy did not get the memo:
1. Ben wants you to open an E-trade account
2. Use your unemployment benefits and buy everything in sight
3. BTFD at all times
Who needs 99 weeks when Ben is handing out Stock stamps?
Stock Stamps.
Nice.
Unless the family wouldn't let him, that whole "can't visit in the hospital 'cause I'm gay" has to be a crock of shit. At that point he sounded like another whiner from the Huffington Post.
Agreed. That comment is clearly false. Sounds like he might be a daily kos poster.
So instead, we have to read dreck from untermenchen like you. Great
Very sad. He is correct that the fact that there are so many unemployed is directly attributable to govt meddling and interference and sponsorship of H1Bs. Think how many jobs there would be for US Citz if all H1Bs were deported.
While I share this guy's general disillusionment, this little bit -
" mean spirited selfishness and hatred of the common good "
pisses me the fuck off. Mean spirited selfishness? How about working on his own sense of entitlement. This is just about the clearest example I've ever seen of a rant that boils down to "waaaaah, it's not fair! you should give me what I want because what I said should make you feel guilty!"
I'm all for knocking down the barriers that keep people from making a decent, honest living, but this guy seems quite blind to the fact that the arguments he just poured forth are the vary same things those he rails against used to gain power and justify their actions.
Is this some sort of fucked up satire? I don't know if the letter is genuine or not... it's too perfect a reflection of Hank Rearden's useless brother -
"We don't demand huge sums -- just 300 bucks a week, barely enough to cover housing for most. Most of all we say, please help us get a job, please allow us dignity."
Fuck that guy and the horse he rode in on.
Better watch it. Some liberal, big government worshipping fucktard will junk you.
I am not liberal, I despise government in any form, but I will junk the total absence of compassion exhibited here. To totally discount the efficiency of government propaganda in the lives of most Americans shows a lack of intellectual development (to put it kindly).
Many Americans buy the program. Just because they never figure it out doesn't make them a parasite. It is the reason you send your sons and daughters to fight in wars of terror practiced on foreign countries. It is why you give up so much of your production to a bureaucracy that then gives it away to a priviledged class. It is why you accept the Chairsatan's bennybux as if they have value.
Our only hope is each other. Every success they have at splitting us apart makes the elites stronger. A house divided builds better banks.
It is entirely possible to feel compassion for the guy and still feel contempt for his sense of entitlement and his reliance on government. Until people realize that big government is not the solution we will always have stories like this.
Sorry, I must have missed that part of your comment or the writer you were responding to. Can you point out the compassion?
It is possible to have compassion for them and still be pissed off at the sense of entitlement.
This guy got hosed every bit as much as most of the rest of us.
As of a couple of days ago, I've been unemployed myself for an entire year. (And no, I've never taken a .gov handout in my life. My choice.)
The difference between myself and the individual that wrote this letter, is that when I wake up in the morning I curse those who hinder my ability to produce, while he chooses instead to blame those who have produced for his troubles.
Yes, there are a lot of crooked and greedy bastards out there doing criminal things... it needs to stop. But sympathy, handouts, and a nice pat on the head and a make-work job to preserve your "dignity" isn't going to improve life for anyone. There is only one way to do that - someone has to do work and make something. The world is not powered by puppies and rainbows, it's powered by hard work, and the people doing that work are not this guy's personal servants.
I happen to largely agree with some of his arguments on their face - if in fact we must spend trillions of dollars, then much of the money that the government pissed away could have been better spent, in ways that benefitted those who needed it instead of padding the coffers of corrupt banks. But his rant about mean-spiritedness is a dead giveaway that he's not just concerned about solutions to the problem at hand.
Demonizing the productive, the innovative, and the competent is precisely how you end up with massive unemployment. There is no clearer example of this than all the small business owners I know who would start hiring more people tomorrow if their taxes and costs of regulatory requirements were reduced.
Let's toss in a quote from another author... Heinlein:
Right on.
The letter writer has contempt for the "mean spirited selfishness" he sees in others but no contempt for the "kind spirited selfishness" he exhibits.
Once again, you miss the point. Please read a comment before you reply, it will save you some time. For someone with compassion, you fail to present any evidence of it, but you do seem to be able to wax poetically about his failure.
The writer does not demonize the hard working, in fact, he was one for 35 years. He demonizes the choices made by government for the benefit of a priviledged elite. Which, by the way, work hard only at theft- never producing a good or service of value- merely acting conjureres of money, then stealing the value before it can be settled on the productive, innovative worker.
Next, my point is the lack of compassion and the willingness to allow bankers to divide the people. Something Heinlein was well aware of(I had read every one of his books by the time I was fifteen) as a military officer. The elites cannot stand against a united front and will continue to conquer us if we fail to understand this. This would truly be bad luck.
Well done!
He wanted a fucking job asshole . He wants the America where you can tell the boss to fuck off and find another job tomorrow .Land of the free . What he doesn't want is an america where everyone is pissing their pants on their way to work worrying they wont have a job tomorrow and end up like him .
Thank-you. Moment of clarity. Thank-you.
These are most often a manipulation. In this case without more detail it is hard to know.
Compassion is not that dangerous. Suspend disbelief and see where it leads you.
We all know perfectly well why it could be true. That should be the lesson, it seems to me.
The whole economic and financial paradigm we live in is completely unnatural and fucked. The difference between Mark and me - I would turn the anger outward, and if that means taking out a bunch of heartless fucks like the ones posting on here, so be it. That would give me a hell of a lot of pleasure. Maybe torturing their loved ones first, too.
If this letter is real it is very sad and may there be a better world after this one for the author.
American Dream has always been a fantasy - reality of life is too harsh.
Anyone in their 30's needs to learn how to make their own money by the time they hit their 40's.....Waiting to be employed is a downward spiral, physically and mentally.
These people can still be of use: you need to take your tent cities to more public places. In fact, I'd personally feed the homeless and give my blankets and used shoes or clothing if they'd camp out at the Mall in DC. Just go. You paid for it. Why should anyone have a problem with them in DC? They caused it, now they should have to live with it.
The last depression, tent cities popped up in major parks like that. It's time this depression started to look like the last. You can still be useful. Make yourself seen and heard.
Wall Street seems like a good place. Cameras on, bitches!
...I have set my death in motion, but what I am facing is not living. So off I go, I have made peace with God and placed my burden on Jesus and He forgives me...
Too bad he had to wait until his 60th orbit. He coulda started enjoying his eternal life decades ago. It doesn't start when you quit breathing ya know. Best to surrender early on and live out your duty to escape for the duration. Make the enemy miserable every chance you get. Have fun and enlist the help of others while you take as many with you as possible.
On a long enough time line...
It would be interesting to follow up on this. People in the mental health field know that most people who write notes dont commit suicide. Without more information obviously anyone here can read in their pre existing biases and confirm whatever belief they wish to confirm. I see a depressed angry individual. I doubt the world is any meaner than it has ever been. He just never noticed before. Food stamps are available to anyone arent they? Something is not right here. I work closely with social services agencies in one of my contracts. Homeless shelters may be full but if he hangs out in front of one long enough he will get assisstance. If you call 911 and tell them you are going to kill yourself it guarantees an admission. Making a dramatic appearance with police or an ambulance is the best way to get admitted to a psych ward. If you show up by yourself without insurance and you have no one with " standing" to sue if you commit suicide, then your threats might just be ignored and you won't get admitted. I will also guarantee you this guy has applied for ss disability. When physical stuff alone isnt enough your ss attorney will tell you to "think about whether you might be depressed too and we can add it to the application if you are." Without further info I cant tell if he is upping the ante to get more assistance or if he is a naive guy who doesnt know how to play the system.
Agreed, he's a real loser as a homeless guy. Of course, that was also a large part of his point.
Until policies are put in place that encourage and reward the creation of productive enterprise in this country rather than encourage the flight of productive enterprise we will continue in our long, slow and increasingly painful slide into poverty, social decay and violence.
But policies are not going to change because the people in power are becoming rich off of the current policies. This country is in the process of being destroyed from the inside. But the 5% at the top are profiting fabulously. And they have created a web of delusion to justify their actions. And they have created a structure of power and force to protect their power. And they have created a network of propaganda to support the status quo at all costs.
So nobody even talks about bringing production back to America. The subject is not even on the table. But it's like a geometric axiom. Without production we can't create real wealth. Without real wealth the poor and middle-class can not prosper. Only the wealthy and connected can prosper by taking part in financial games and the creation of pretend wealth. The rest of us are stuck with the real.
In Cairo there are a couple of million unemployed young men sitting on street corners. Feeling oppressed they gathered and ran riot. But in America the millions of unemployed young men are scattered in the suburbs watching TV or playing computer games. Even the poorest among us seem able to afford TV, McDonalds and big jugs of soda.
We are years away from massive riots here. But, when the mass of unemployed youth can no longer afford gas or TV or computer games or McDonalds or jugs of soda from Walmart then lookout! At that point we become Egypt.
Bread and circuses... it's probably going to be a while before the cheap entertainments start to run out.
Good luck getting young (and mostly unarmed) people to riot in the face of armored cars, helicopters and UAV's, thermal imaging, computerized facial and gait recognition, increasing government control over transportation, and the omnipresent urban surveilance state.
The only safety there is in numbers - but for every angry young person who wants to work, there are 10 more apathetic ones growing fat on handouts in some rotting urban flat.
The politicians know this game, and they have it down cold.
Let's be realistic. The standard of living we enjoyed was on borrowed money. The economy we worked in was false. The money we save in is irredemible. Our politicians are bought off. The baby boomers are all retiring and needing healthcare all at the same time while they all depend on underfunded social programs for retirement. Of course this kind of stuff is happening. What else would we expect? This is much of America's inheritence. It's sad but we can't really claim we didn't see it coming. When I was a kid working with my dad doing manual labor he would tell me at the end of every work day how the world was dog eat dog and nothing else. I believed him. He was right. Why are we telling our kids the world is their oyster and to feel free to fritter away your money and time. It's not and their life is going to be a sweat shop. Half of the reason I buy coins is for my old age and or unemployment. I know how quick things can change and how desperate they can become and how bad you can get screwed and cheated. We are getting a good taste of reality and it sucks. People need to take as much control of their lives as they can because the cold hard truth is not many people give a sh*t. This means saving until it hurts. This is not a new concept. It's always been this way. The sooner people can come to grips with reality the better off they will be...and for those still among the living who didn't know: OUR GOVERNMENT LIED TO US. OUR GOVERNMENT DOES NOT GIVE A F*CK ABOUT US. PERIOD. They never did. Deal with it and plan for your future accordingly.
Is it just me or does anyone else find this hard to believe? I don't mean that there are not really people in this predicament because there are. Rather, what I mean is that the author of this piece is not actually one of them.
It is not written like someone who is dying or about to die by self-euthananization as he calls it.
The thing that strikes me immediately are the health problems and age. He is probably eligible for SSA or SSI disability. But the main thing is that he sat down and was able to write such a coherent dissertation on his situation. People that sick, starving (hasn't eaten for a week he says) and desparate are not generally able to write anything more than a rambling and disjointed suicide note, and are not able to quote numbers and statistics.
I don't mean to sound cold-hearted, but this "feels" like a fiction to make a point. Maybe someone found it on the internet and took it to be literal when it was actually figurative.
Agreed. I work closely with people like this and social service ahencies. Something isnt right here.
Dontcha hate it when the borderlines do kill themselves, though? Just when ya thought you knew it all . . .
Had the same impression when he started to quote employment stats. It does look as someone that wanted to make a point more forcefully, but I do work one night a week with the homeless, the real ones, there are, undeniably , well educated ones, but they are not overwhelmed by the priority of getting stats updated, and i concur that the ones starving from a couple of days...not one week, sound incoerent till they had a good feed. One week means your body started shutting down the unnecessary functions to keep the brain alive...
So it may well be a fictional, figurative, and not literal situation.
It does make a point, though.
What a pussy and a quitter...........Gotta love Darwin.............BWHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA
Bitch
don't hold back... what do you really think?
lol
at least the texas guy that flew into the IRS building went out with style... (although for some reason i'm glad he didn't kill any of the schmucks - that would have been kinda chicken-shit to not look the adversary in the eye, etc...)
"we live, we die and death not ends it..." Shit fire, death has got to be better than what is here. It is hopeless.
Agreed that the glass is only 1/10 full. The challenge is to really enjoy the drink.
As in the Fed and it's bankster masters? Been that way for almost 100 years now.
Exactly. I'm trying to spread this, but people are pretty thick-headed. At least my immediate family realizes this.
These people won't be stopped until their throats are pulled out and fed to them. Sounds harsh and cruel, but it's the truth. 'God' won't save you/us. There is no spoon.
line down and die, what a waste of a human being..this admitted deviant wants the dole to continue and now he wants to kill himself if gov checks stop..If he had any grit at all he would be down on wall st using a ak47 and go out like a true American but his deviant life style is more into masochistic mind games.
Ironmaam there is a Yahoo! board somewhere that is very lonely without you. Also, why don't you answerd CDs' question about how you spent your money to stop the TBTFs? I see you ignored that. Please answer. Thanks.
