A Disillusioned 99'er Shares His Disappointment With The American Dream, Welcomes Death
"Mark", a member of the ever growing cadre of disillusioned, disenchanted and disgruntled millions of American unemployed, has written a letter shared by A Company of One, in which he explains the plight of 99'ers (those whose extended unemployment benefits are set to expire) in which he chronicles his plight and his terminal disappointment with the American system. One can only imagine how all the "99'ers" would feel if they did not have the benefit of living at least partially subsidized for 2 years in the socialist state of America. If Bahrain is any indication, where the government's attempt to purchase the love of its people just failed today, pretty soon not even the 99 weeks of EUCs will do much to suppress what is an unmistakably rising anger among the broad US population.
From Mark's letter:
To the unemployed, sick, disabled and poor:
Hello,
I'm unemployed over two years now, a 99er without any benefits for
three months. I followed Unemployed Friends almost from its start, never
posted until now, but am grateful for my time with you all. I did as
asked with calls and e-mails, etc. I've a confession to make to you all.
I'm a criminal.
I've obeyed the 10 commandments and all laws except: I'm unemployed
and that's now a crime, I'm poor and that's a crime, I'm worthless
surplus population and that's a crime, I'm a main street American
Citizen born and raised in the USA and that's now a crime, and I'm
euthanizing myself as I write this note -- so arrest my corpse. This
isn't a call for help, the deed is done, it's not what I wanted. Death
is my best available option. It's not just that my bank account is $4,
that I've not eaten in a week, not because hunger pangs are agonizing
(I'm a wimp), not because I live in physical and mental anguish, not
because the landlady is banging on the door non-stop and I face
eviction, not that Congress and President have sent a strong message
they no longer help the unemployed. It's because I'm a law abiding
though worthless, long-term unemployed older man who is surplus
population. Had I used my college education to rip people off and steal
from the elderly, poor, disabled and main street Americans I would be
wearing different shoes now -- a petty king. Hard work, honesty, loving
kindness, charity and mercy, and becoming unemployed and destitute
unable to pay your bills are all considered foolishness and high crimes
in America now. Whereas stealing and lying and cheating and being greedy
to excess and destroying the fabric of America is rewarded and
protected -- even making such people petty king and petty queens among
us.
Since the end of 2008, when corporate America began enjoying the
resumption of growth, profits have swelled from an annualized pace of
$995 billion to the current $1.66 trillion as of the end of September
2010. Over the same period, the number of non-farm jobs counted by the
Labor Department has slipped from 13.4 million to 13 million -- there is
no recovery for the unemployed and main street. We taxpayers have
handed trillions of dollars to the same bank and insurance industry that
started our economic disaster with its reckless gambling. We bailed out
General Motors. We distributed tax cuts to businesses that were
supposed to use this lubrication to expand and hire. For our dollars, we
have been rewarded with starvation, homelessness and a plague of fear
-- a testament to post-national capitalism.
Twelve years ago, I lost the last of my family. Ten years ago, I lost
the love of my life, couldn't even visit him in the hospital because
gays have no rights. I fought through and grieved and went on as best I
could. Seven years ago, I was diagnosed with Diabetes and Stage 2 high
blood pressure with various complications including kidney problems,
mild heart failure, Diabetic Retinopathy. These conditions are
debilitating and painful. I am on over eight prescribed medications,
which is very difficult without insurance and income. But I struggled on
and my primary caregiver was very pleased with my effort overtime with
my A1C at seven. Still these physical disabilities have progressively
worsened, and I have had a harder and harder time functioning in basic
ways. All the while, I give thanks to God because I know there are many
more worse off than me -- and I tried to help by giving money to
charities and smiling at people who looked down and sharing what little I
had.
I am college educated and worked 35 years in management, receiving
written references and praise from every boss for whom I worked. Yet,
after thousands of resumes, applications, e-mails, phone calls, and drop
ins, I've failed to get a job even at McDonalds. I've discovered there
are three strikes against me -- most 99ers will understand. Strike one
-- businesses are not hiring long-term unemployed -- in fact many job
ads now underline "the unemployed need not apply." Strike two -- I am
almost 60 years old. Employers prefer hiring younger workers who demand
less and are better pack mules. Strike three -- for every job opening
I've applied, there are over 300 applicants according to each business
who allow a follow up call. With the U3 unemployment holding steady at
9.6percent and U6 at 17 percent for the past 18 months, the chances of
me or any 99er landing a job is less than winning the Mega Million
Jackpot. On top of that, even the most conservative economists admit
unemployment will not start to fall before 2012 and most predict up to
seven years of this crap.
I believe the Congress and President have no intention of really
aiding the unemployed -- due to various political reasons and their
total removal from the suffering of most Americans, their cold-hearted,
self-serving natures. Had they really wanted to help us, they could have
used unspent stimulus monies or cut foolish costs like the failed wars
or foreign aid, and farm subsidies. The unspent stimulus money alone
cold have taken care of ALL unemployed persons for five years or until
the unemployment rate reached 7 percent if Congress and the President
really wanted to help us -- and not string us all along with a meager
safety net that fails every few months. In any case, if I were to
survive homelessness (would be like winning the mega-millions) and with
those three strikes against me, in seven more years, I'll be near 70
with the new retirement age at 70 -- now who will hire an old homeless
guy out of work for nine years with just a few years until retirement?
So, here I am. Long term unemployed, older man, with chronic health
problems, now totally broke, hungry, facing eviction. My landlady should
really be an advocate for the unemployed -- she bangs on my door
demanding I take action. A phone call and a "please" are not enough for
her -- she is angry. She is right to be angry with me, I am unemployed
-- as apparently everyone is now angry with us unemployed.
Two hundred and eleven and social services cannot help single men.
Food banks and other charities are unable to help any more folks -- they
are overwhelmed with the poor in this nation. So I have the "freedom"
to be homeless and destitute and "pursue happiness" in garbage cans and
then die -- yay for America huh? It's the end of November and cold. A
diabetic homeless older person will experience amputations in the winter
months. So I will be raiding garbage cans for food, as my body
literally falls apart, a foot here, a finger there. I have experienced
and even worked with pain from my diseases -- hardship I can face. I
just cannot muster the courage to slowly die in agony and humiliation in
the gutter.
I have no family, I have no friends. For the past two years, I've had
nobody to talk with as people who knew me react to the "unemployed"
label as if it were leprosy and contagious. I am not a bad person, in
fact people really like me. But everyone seems to be on a tight budget
these days and living in incredible fear. It is hopeless since we all
are hearing more and more that we unemployed are to blame for
unemployment, that we are just lazy, that we are no good, that we are
sinners, that we are druggies, yet we are the victims who suffer and are
punished while the robber baron banksters and tycoons become senators,
congress, presidents and petty kings. So the only option left for me is
merciful self euthanasia.
It is with a heavy heart that I have set my death in motion, but what
I am facing is not living. So off I go, I have made peace with God and
placed my burden on Jesus and He forgives me. This nation has become
evil to the core, with cold-hearted politicians and tycoons squeezing
what little Main Street Americans have left. It is not the America into
which I was born -- the land of the free and the home of the brave with
kind folks who help neighbors -- it is now land of the Tycoon-haves and
the rest of us have-nots who march into hopelessness and despair.
Every unemployed person I have met over these past two years have
been saintly. Sharing what little they have, and being charitable --
being kind and patient and supportive. Isn't it amazing that we
Americans who suffer so much, have not taken to the streets in violence,
riots or gotten out the guillotines and marched on tycoons and
Washington in revolt as would happen in most other nations? But rather
we plead with deaf politicians to please help us. We don't demand huge
sums -- just 300 bucks a week, barely enough to cover housing for most.
Most of all we say, please help us get a job, please allow us dignity.
I can't help but juxtapose our plight to the tycoons and politicians.
They are never satisfied with their enormous wealth, and always want
more millions no matter whom it hurts. They STEAL from pension funds,
banks, the people and government, and little Wall Street investors. Then
rather than face punishment, they become petty kings in this world.
They are disloyal to America, unpatriotic, and serve their own foreign
UN-American greedy causes and demand more and more and more. I feel that
this is not the nation into which I was born. I was born in America,
the land of the free and the home of the brave. America, where people
give as much as they receive. America, where all people work for the
common good, and try to leave a better and more prosperous nation for
the next generation. America, where people help their neighbors and show
charity and mercy. This new America is alien to me -- it is an America
of greed and corruption and avarice and mean spirited selfishness and
hatred of the common good -- it is an America of savage beasts roaring
and tearing at the weak, and bullying the humble and peacemakers and
poor and those without means to defend themselves. I am not welcome here
anymore. I don't belong here anymore. It's as if some evil beast
controls government, the economy, and our lives now.
I must go now, my home is someplace else. Goodbye and God bless you
all. God bless the unemployed and poor and elderly and disabled. God
bless America and the American people except the tycoons and politicians
-- may God retain the sins of tycoons and politicians and phony
preachers and send them to the Devil.

he and others shoudl organize (but don't use computers in the libraries to access facebook - Patriot Act is still in affect), form groups of 4-6 peopel and rob as many banks branches as they can in 1 day. Benefits:
#1 It sends a message
#2 The money can be used to help other unemployed
#3 They'd live in the "big house" until release, when they'd be eligible for what's left of Social Security.
Huffington post fiction
Agreed. This guy did not kill himself. I give 100 to 1 odds.
Speaking of the wealth gap, if you need any help envisioning how much a billion dollars can buy, here's some handy visual aids -- just scroll down a bit: http://tinyurl.com/5vd2qsf
Well written, right on many points, but clearly a fake. Any writer should pick up on that. Too political, long winded, preachy..., and oddly not nearly sad enough to be true. Anyone contemplating suicide is heart-broken. This Dude is just pissed. Still an interesting blend of fact and fiction, not on the order of what Mark pulled off with Hey-soos, but good as frauds go.
Anyway, the conditions listed would qualify for a nice disability check, and every social worker I've met would slather all over the gay thang.
So it's a con job. So what? The primary problems he's talking about: age discriminiation, alienation, betrayal of those who played by the rules, the criminalization of poverty are all very real.
So what? A writer is always more convincing if he doesn't lie through his teeth. Enough said.
Pretty much sums up my views. Concise and to the point Kaiserhoff
all he asks is a meager 300 bucks a week
you cant make that from a minimum wage job
and you need to pay taxes out of that
if in two years you cant get creative and find a way to survive, please stop polluting our gene pool
he didnt need to feed a family...only himself
that doesnt take much to accomplish
nor do you need a regular job to survive
there comes a time to grab them bootstraps and make something happen
35 years in management and no savings or plan to get himself thru those last couple years til retirement
fuckin useless breather
need help with that self euthanasia?
i wasnt born with enuf middle fingers to truly tell him how i feel
He should have read "The Richest Man in Babylon" when he was young and wouldn't be penniless. Yes I know we live in a cruel world and greed is rampant, but those who don't put aside for a rainy day have no one but themselves to blame.
When your harvest is strong live below your means and put aside for when your harvest is weak.
more garbage. Always live at your means or above. That's exactly the problem with money, people work for "money" without even understanding what money is. it's the potential energy you've saved up to get what you want without working. how do you want to live your life as an old fart? me, I want to travel and drink great wine. So I am buying wine and accumulating miles. do you think I give a fuck how many USD an ounce of gold does or does not buy in the future?
The saddest part of the story is this gentlemen's health issues.
He no doubt ate poorly and followed the government's food pyramid. If he had skipped all sugar and carbs he probably would not have diabetes. The fact that Americans do not know how to eat properly is TRAGIC beyond belief. The societal cost of taking care of sick Americans is going to destroy our system. When are people going to wake up, self educate and realize that they only have one body and everyone from the food manufacturers, to the drug companies, to the government is in on the plan to make them sick and thereby make a bundle off of sickness.
My grandparents ate well, exercised and lived into their 80's. Then one day they got sick and died. The cost to society and themselves--minimal.
People must learn to eat protein, fat and natural products. Until we do that as a society we are going to have a lot more sad stories like this one.
The government's food pyramid? - get real.
The biggest health problems facing Americans all stem from obesity and all these same people understand that they eat too fucking much but are unwilling to change their behavior.
Your grandparents lived and died well because they knew it was their responsibilty to do so and I would bet that they understood there was something wrong with gluttony and sloth. Further, I would bet they didn't look to government to dictate these very simple observances.
your grandparents most likely didn't drink government poisoned tap water, nor eat GMO-corn fattened feedlot beef shot up with anti-biotics while standing in two feet of their own shit for the last months of their "lives" - nor eat chickens bred intentionally for the breast meat, so deformed their legs break & they spend their short lives face down in their own shit as well. . . or eat food poisoned with chemical additives, GMO-soy & corn as fillers in most packaged foods, all deliberately not labelled due to FDA control by Monsanto. . . or breathe air deliberately laced with aluminium & barium to "control the weather". . .
it's deliberate, and it's killing us - if you're younger, you won't realise it till it accumulates in your body over time, aka "later years". . . until then, a drop of aware compassion won't go amiss.
What does gay have to do with being a 99er? >>>> propoganda?
You had no life savings after 35 years of management work? So after your weekly $470 check ran out you had NO backstop? Fill in the holes in your story.
There's a few souls out there that have bought a lawn mower and are undercutting the friendly neighborhood migrant worker around here. People are so afraid in general to just start there own business, no matter how small. It's as if the rules of the land for all colleges and high schools insist that you forget it's an option. If you're a minority, a woman, have 1/4 American Indian, etc (if you're not...PARTNER WITH ONE) you have a great advantage in that SBA loans are still shoveled out. You just need to make sure the bus in the field of that which will have re-sellable tangible assets (like starting a restaurant). Regardless of whether you are successful, there are plenty of ways an intrepid and 'creative' participant can turn these assets into living wages after they are acquired.
If there is a restaurant, or manufacturer with illegal workers you know of, and it's local to you, call the INS on them, call ICE! Get proactive in your efforts to shake out the riffraff and TAKE their jobs! Assume offense.
Hook, I don't think there is a restaurant within 20 miles of me that DOESN't have illegals
If I was in their position needing the job, I'd rat those migrant 'competitors' out in a second. Hey, some definitions of 'immorality' just have to be thrown out the window when it's eat or be eaten.
Yeah...it seems like college pussies cry the loudest. Some people get a lawnmower, live out of their van and trade, or at least squeegee a windshield. When the going gets.tough.the tough get going. Others whine.
So true. It's easier for the college grads who enjoy camping, as it's an easy perspective change to live low for awhile if you do. I had a few months of ragtag existence myself after I got booted from the owner...living on top of a 3 story building in Sherman Oaks with the owners completely unaware. There was electrical, running water, and my couch that I lugged up the stair well. No shade during that summer ('91), but I had just got a job as a newbie series3 soothsayer by morning/day (you know what they say; the best way to win in the market is to be the broker). Yeah, it was CA and all, so its a great place to be without home. Once I got on my feet, I literally didn't want to leave my rooftop perch!
+100
I lke your attitude Pal; we need a few more million like you and then it will be time to light a match to Washington (just for starters)
Yeah...it seems like college pussies cry the loudest. Some people get a lawnmower, live out of their van and trade, or at least squeegee a windshield. When the going gets.tough.the tough get going. Others whine.
he had four bucks in the bank
that'll buy a paint brush, and presto, a business
old blanket for a drop cloth

Bring in the new dark ages!
The GOP has decided it's time.
Operation Austerity has begun!
Woohoo, this outta raise Church attendance.
Ok i'm going to get fuking junked for this but fuk me this guy blames everybody but himself! He's 60, claims he's been in management, so where's his lifetimes savings and assets gone?
I feel for the unemployed like him but don't get mad with Washington and Wall Street, GET EVEN... go bloody rob the politicians and bankers homes, who cares it's illegal, these parasites ARE the biggest crooks in society.
Do something other than top yourself and write a letter about it having given up. The ants and birds get by without social bloody security. Learn to hunt, pick wild mushrooms, cultivate carrots on scrub land or beg. You giving your life away is the ultimate squandering of opportunity.
For fuks sake let's not feel so sorry for ourselves, at least feed on the parasites that have fed off us before we go down (with a bit of a fight)
Idiot.
no an idiot is someone who can't live or breath without a Govt handout... just as the animals get by without the State why can't the uber-intelligent human being? We have pensioners in Britain that think they can't feed themselves without a subsidised bus pass. If an ant can set out without a compass every day how come a pensioner can't learn to hitch a lift or bum off a neighbour (a bit of community help). This is how the State has destroyed community, it's pandered to peoples laziness and sense of 'helpless defenceless victim'. Too many excuses from everybody, not enough action (private nouse, enterprise, balls)
You are a pawn being played by the banksters who own the media and government... obviously the brainwashing has been successful... with your support, they rape and pillage with impunity, while you blame the poor and disenfranchised... the prototypical "useful idiot."
I don't blame the poor mate, i blame Big Govt/Big Corp parasites for sucking 30% of GDP into their bank accounts. But it took 50% of voters to mandate this criminal ponzi scheme believing the Govts words about security, pensions, the State will look after you. How does someone get to 60 and not realise these parasites were frauds all along?
oh FFS dude, please explain to me how a subsidised bus pass for pensioners is going to break the fucking system? do you honestly begrudge the elderly a cheaper form of public transport, on buses that are already running?? do you seriously advocate pensioners "hitching lifts"??? the public transport in britain was one of the best things you had going before they undercut it to build more motorways, filled them up with fucking cars, rinse repeat - you had great train service too until it was gutted & privatised out of the average person's ability to utilise it! add to that high streets with chain shops selling crap that replaced the local fresh fruit 'n' veg, butcher, baker, independent shopkeepers that took time to know and chat with their customers - and now folk have to hit the mega-chain supermarkets all parked outside of town, encouraging MORE cars and motorways. . .
but hey, lucky for you, you'll not have to get old. wanker.
yes i clearly DO OBJECT to subsidised bus passes for pensioners, and subsidised buses too. The wonderful buses you dribble over and cars you sleight are paid for by the fuking motorist pinhead. For every £8 in motoring tax only £1 goes back into roads while £1 goes into trains and another £1 into buses. Public transport is completely subsidised by motorists (ie. socialism) and what is the result of screwing the motorist to prop up the bankrupt clown show that is public transport; crap roads; crap trains; crap buses (the usual socialist fuking nightmare). It's about time the bankrupt and totally failed 80 year old socialist State of Britain now on its knees hit the sewer where it belongs and idiots like you who don't know where the money comes from or what they're talking about went down with it. Socialism fails (again)
I struggle to understand how a single man with no children who "worked in management for 35 years" is now broke and about to be evicted from an apartment.
I'm guessing that he's made many bad decisions in his life, and is looking for somebody to blame. Had massive car loans and "bought" a house he couldn't afford.
Drama queen.
We are in a window of human history that is unique, where for most of our lives people in our society have not wanted and the poor have had plenty to eat (relative to the tens of thousands of years before this window). This guy sounds like somebody who would have been winnowed out of the gene pool much earlier in life if born just a hundred years earlier.
I may sound heartless, but there's too much in this letter that stinks of "I lived beyond my means for 35 years, and now the gubmint won't take care of me!"
Our society has PLENTY of problems, but this guy sounds like part of the problem, not a victim.
Maybe so, do YOU have a job, or a company you own?.
If you have either, and are making good money then you are the one that doesn't get It.
Maybe he is as you say, maybe he's not,but the 4th Gen welfare fkrs are still getting it.
The 99er's likely 90+% had full time jobs their entire lives until 2008.
And depended on no none for paying their way.
8-5 baby.
And would Again if there were any jobs to make enough to survive off of.
If the PTB think Americans that had decent lives and were productive, are going to quietly go into that $2.00 day or $8.00hr a day goodnight, then I wish them well, because they will not make it.
From 'I am Legend' ---- Not too different from now, just changing couple of words....
All right, let me tell you about your "God's plan". Six billion people on Earth when the infection (Debt Tsunami) hit. KV (Debt default/hyperinflation) had a ninety-percent kill rate, that's five point four billion people dead. Crashed and bled out. Dead. Less than one-percent immunity (debt-free). That left twelve million healthy people, like you, me, and Ethan (without any debt). The other five hundred and eighty-eight million (with maxed out credit cards) turned into your dark seekers, and then they got hungry and they killed and fed on everybody. Everybody! Every *single* person that you or I has ever known is dead! Dead! There is no god!
Big difference, thats a pissy assed BAD movie.
And its not going to end that way, it will be worse.
Big difference, thats a pissy assed BAD movie.
And its not going to end that way, it will be worse.
double-post
Give me a freaking break.
He hopped on the train to Hogwarts and now that the train has broken down he is offing himself. Hey Mr. 99'er, how about you go back 35 years and boycott the mega companies who moved overseas. Oh wait, you didn't because you were too happy doing what everyone else has done, selling yourself down the river. Only you didn't realize at the time that buying shit made in China would eventually mean someone from China would have your job.
You've also got type 2 diabetes which means you didn't give a crap about your diet and exercise at a younger age and now you have been a drain on the society at large. Probably scootering around Wal-mart in one of those electric scooters while you buy frozen pizzas, soda and electronics made in China.
When things got bad and you became unemployed, you could have changed your ways. You could have started exercising and eating healthy. You do know type 2 diabetes can be reversed with a healthy diet. Then at least when you reached the end of your unemployment you would be healthy enough to make it on the streets.
But no, you probably just vegged out and continued your lifestyle. Well I've got news for anyone else doing the same as this guy. Your whats wrong with our country. You sold the rest of the generations down the river so you could live large at Walmart. Good for you. I hope you enjoy your failing social services as they are ended.
load up on the corn syrup bitchez
ADM and Monsanto offer a nice trip down a slippery rat hole!
Letter sounds like how I felt in 2004 when I was homeless after 18 months of unemployment. As a former rocket systems engineer, I was devastated when I couldn't get a job at a fucking Ace Hardware using "connections" to the manager ("you're going to get a job offer and leave" was the excuse). I did get another engineering job eventually but will never forget how fucked up this country is irregardless who is in 'power'. May karma find those who need a major dose of empathy.
Vendetta, first of all I think it is obvious the story is a fake. I have found myself unemployed for extensive time period as well so I do have empathy, but there does come a time when someone has take responsibilty for their own actions and quit blaming everyone else. if we all would live off of less than we make and put aside for hard times because they always come, then we can help ourselves and others.
If a man is in middle managment and is now 60 yrs old and is penniless, he obviously squandered what everything he earned.
Too good books...one I'm sure many have heard of "The Richest Man in Babylon" and another probably less popular "Your Money or Your LIfe"
you expect someone from middle management to manage "___"??
your logic needs to be called into questioning
I do have compassion for this guy (real or imaginary) but understand what you are saying. I think the boomers feel entitled to a job because that is what they grew up with. I've worked in tech for twenty years and lost my job a few weeks ago (second time in three years). My parents are aghast but I'm not. They are of the era when you had a job for twenty-five years at the same place and retired with a pension. I never expected that. Already I have two potential (just potential for now) freelance assignments lined up and registered a cool domain name I may do something with.
When one of my boomer friends (in his 50's) lost his job a few years ago, I tried to get him to think outside the box but it was like pulling teeth. I tried to get him to start up a blog about one of his passions (wine) and monetize it. It wouldn't have paid his mortgage but may have provided some extra income. I even set it up for him but he didn't see the possibilities. I think a lot of people that age are stuck in the 50's paradigm they grew up with.
boomers are the biggest crybabies on the planet.. genx doesnt care a shit about them since we all remember their smugness in the 80's. Eat Dirt
They were the biggest crybabies on the planet until they spawned their worthess children of limitless self-esteem vacant of capabilities.
Eat dirt is it? I hope you enjoy the flavor.
you're communicating via our slacker resourcefulness.. i still remember all the bricks vs clicks bullshit so thanks for forcing us to build up without any help.. we can easily do it again and again without crying.
lower numbers actually is an advantage in this economic climate - we'll be fine
"slacker resourcefulness"
"bricks vs clicks"
"build up without any help"
You aint done shit except in your very lmited imagination.
Dumbass.
go back to your wood working
Give me a break - get your generations straight.
My comment on this post was pointing out that some boomers may be bound by the era they grew up in - nothing more.
Perhaps it's time to re-institute that kind of security.
Not everyone thinks jobs should be disposable.
Why not?
"If a man is in middle managment and is now 60 yrs old and is penniless, he obviously squandered what everything he earned."
Unless he lost health insurance, then had 400k in savings wiped out by med bills. Don't think it can't and doesn't happen.
It's pretty amazing that so many believe in saving for retirement myth. It's mathematically impossible--savings are the other side of debt. But, you don't get, do you? Most are so brainwashed and conditioned by the financial industry that they won't believe this simple fact; it's tough to stop being delusional. The original writer is merely pointing out what happens when myth meets reality.
wow / what a lot of comments. i wish someone would write a real article regarding the deliberate & purposefulness of what is happening to our country & our citizens. When will someone write a real expose' , name names of who set this deliberate policy coming out of WALL ST. & WASHINGTON to DELIBERATELY & PURPOSEFULLY DESTROY THE COUNTRY, BANKRUPT OUR CITIZENS ............. THE VERY PEOPLE WE ELECTED TO REPRESENT US in CONGRESS & the PRESIDENCY are the VERY PEOPLE WHO ARE DESTROYING US............... BILL CLINTON / ROBERT RUBIN / BUSH 1&2 / OBAMA ......... BLAH ! the average AMERICAN CITIZEN does not really understand what is happening to them; they know something is different, something just isn't as it was 20 years ago. People like JOHN PILGER & CHRIS HEDGES (find them on YOUTUBE & listen) have had a real impact on my thinking. The past 100 years since 1913 under the FEDERAL RESERVE BANK have not been normal / we've been scammed, lied to, manipulated, herded, false-flagged into going to wars that should never have been . THIS 100 YEARS IS ENDING / THE FEDERAL RESERVE BANK has ruined the itself & the country & taken a lot of innocent souls with it. The only good thing is that there is still a chance to set things right for the GREATER GOOD of the COUNTRY. ..... extend food charity to the hungry, please.
Matt Taibbi has written it all down in his las book "Griftopia."
It's unfortunate that there are so many people who still operating under the delusion that the government actually seeks to restore the American economy to function for the benefit of the vast majority of citizens in this country. But I guess if you watch television news and listen to State of the Union speeches and read mainstream news sources, it's still possible to let what you hear override what you see.
I guess I have to give a shout out to old Al Greenspan for waking me up. When he tried to claim that he had no inkling that there was a bubble forming in housing while he was Fed chairman, it was so patently absurd that I realized that it was time to start using the John Mitchell test of government's intention. Mitchell was Nixon's attorney general, who when the press confronted him about apparent delaying tactics on school desegregation, designed to curry favor with white southern voters, advised them to "Watch what we do, not what we say."
They say all the right things, but when you look at what they're doing, an entirely different agenda clearly emerges. When Obama selected Larry Summers and Geithner, the handwriting was on the wall for the insiders who follow these things to see. Guys like Mark, whether he's fictional or not, out there in the real working class economy didn't realize it was time to start watching their backs. And the vast majority still don't have a clue. They won't figure it out until it's much to late for them to do anything about it.
Of course, that's thye whole point of the deception. There isn't much to do at this point anyway, it's pretty much all over but the crying.
Mark may be fictional, but there are going to be a whole lot of Marks wandering around wondering what happened soon. They don't understand that it's been a long time since anybody who couldn've done anything for them gave a damn. There will be plenty of genuine expressions of bitterness at being abandoned in the future, demonstrating that they still don't get it, because if they understood the contempt such displays elicit from their betrayers, they'd shut up, and not give the sadistic bastards the satisfaction.
If they had any decency, they'd make overdoses of seconal available without prescription to anyone over eighteen. Some bright bulb in the government may realize that makes perfect business sense at some point in the not-too-distant future, when we've moved on to the later phases, where the value of deception drops off pretty quickly, and the cold reality of the new state starts to openly express itself. Let the useless eaters self select for elimination, and free valuable government resources for detection and identification of the less obviously unfit.
When we are expected to accept the absurd then it should become obvious to any thinking individual that there is a con at play. Yet the Marks of the world refuse to accept any responsibility for their poor choices to trust in impersonal deceptive institutions and their false promises. It's not fun coming to the realization that you were played the fool. That you were not as smart as you thought you were. It hurts. Whining about it or killing yourself will accomplish nothing. The sociopathic rulers don't care about you. They lie and cheat because they don't care about you. They will continue to treat us like stupid ignorant people as long as we continue to believe in their lies. It was crazy to believe we can export manufacturing jobs to China and replace those jobs with better paying, more life enriching, eco-friendly jobs sitting behind a computer doing whatever. It's just as crazy to believe we can get out of a debt problem by getting even further into debt. Why can't people see this? Never mind. I know the answer.
....... i think it's time to leave the country. i have urged my beautiful, well-educated & highly capable adult daughter to think about leaving the country for a better life ......... but, where to go ? can't go to EUROPE ! can't go IRELAND ! forget ENGLAND ! ......
I read in an article (about a year ago) that this decade would be called the DECADE of RAGE as all paper promises would be broken.

So you're going to leave the country lynnybee? - typical boomer selfish shit. Leave the country that you were able to do well for yourself in, to raise a family in - "beautiful, well-educated & highly capable adult daughter" - spoken like a true self-centered boomer.
Now is the time for Americans to fight back, in any way possible.

+1..
This is very sad, very very sad, but I feel like Mark is still blaming all the wrong things. While many of us recognize that bankers, tycoons, etc are indeed incredibly wealthy, they are not wealthy solely because of their sinister ways or unstoppable greed - they are wealthy because of the system that the "people" have created. Our central planning financing has created and enabled the very things that we are now battling with, it is not the fault of the banksters that there exists a regime whereby money can be created out of thin air and where primary deals get handed billions of dollars and where the recipients of inflationary money get to spend it in every which way. It is not the fault of the politicians that we have a system where the federal tax has created legions of lobbyists, special interests and power brokers. It is not the fault of the CEOs that they can go to Congress and be granted corporate welfare, special regulations and other legislation that benefits them and destroys the rest of us.
This is the eternal struggle of keeping power diffused, stopping centralized control, honoring the power of the individual states, cities and towns. This has been since the age of Hamilton and Jefferson the argument between what is better: a smaller limited Government or a big benevolent State? I think the answers are rather clear at this point, the big state is failing. It has created a super stratta of the power elite and a lower stratta where the rest of us try to eek out a living.
Yet, where is the irony? Our Mark, whose life and story should really bring anyone to tears is still asking and still wondering why has the Government foresaken him? Yet he focuses all his energies and hate on the very institutions that have been created by Government, the same Government that he is now reaching out for.
This reminds me of the stories I once heard from my grandparents. Back in Soviet Russia, under Stalin, people would be suffering from hunger, confiscation of property and beatings by "thugs". They would often be heard saying "If only Uncle Stalin knew about this, he would fix everything".
You would think the average American to be a bit smarter than the average Russian peasant of the 1930s. You would think.
"they are not wealthy solely because of their sinister ways or unstoppable greed"
Wrong! If not for their sinister ways and unlimited greed, they would not be wealthy and America would not be the plutarchy it is today: with a government controlled by and for the wealthy, and a national policy rooted in fraud and dishonesty.

OK IF we're not ready to revolt together, let's try to make an effort to each stick-up one of the TBTF branch office banks as a last ditch effort prior to suicide.
A least that's my plan. I'm in the same boat as this poor guy, except I have friends. 99'er, insulin pump for diabetes, not gay but female, closing in on 60, project manager most of my career.
I camped out for five months one time, wih one friend and four dogs. One of the best times of my life. You have got to roll wih the punches. Get together. Extend a hand when you can.
Here is the scoop guys if you find yourselves in a similar situation.
I guess I get a little cynical in the business I am in. If any of you are in the same situation as this guy I might as well tell you how it works. If you apply for SS disability get an attorney. Be patient and keep applying and appealing. You will eventually win three years later even if you don't have a disability. You don't need to starve or commit suicide. You will just retire early.
Always add a mental health issue to your physical issues. You can never be proven not to be depressed or not to be suicidal. Make a couple of fake suicide attempts with some pills. don't use tylenol or aspirin. Use something innocuous like your prozac or the anti depressant you got prescribed at the public clinic. Yes it will take several months to get an appointment. I did say you had to be patient didn't I?
If you get yourself admitted to a psychiatric hospital you wil almost always get a place to stay after you leave as part of follow up care. Even if it is a homeless shelter it ain't that bad. Plus at the homeless shelter you have priority for housing assistance and Medicaid and social services usually works with you. Homeless shelters are paid by how many people they service. If they can get you out and in HUDS housing and on a disability check then they get more funding. It still might take another year. Get yourself admitted at least twice and make sure one of them is a dramatic 911 call where you were going to jump off a bridge or something and they have to pull you back. Be sure to tell them you were abused sexually as a child. There is no way to prove you wrong. Plus you get two diagnoses. Major Depressive disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Always fill out every form correctly and don't get mad when you have to resubmit it several times. Never miss an appointment with social services. Once you are on the "inside" meaning you are labeled mentally ill and staying at a homeless shelter then all sorts of services are opened up for you. Be patient and wait them out. You will get your social security check. You are better off trying this in a small to medium sized city. There is lots of HUD housing and little in the way of waiting lists. So after you get your disability check you will also get your HUD housing, plus your food stamps plus your energy assistance. Your money will go a lot further and the HUD housing is much nicer, sometimes brand new duplexes, in smaller cities and towns.
That was exemplary. Including the emphasis upon "wait." Kudos, topcallingtroll.
Yeah, i think i saw that in a movie.
Bedtime for Bonzo or some other silly flick, pure b.s. BUT a nice writers gift there.
Kudos. It must be hard to make such a nice post when the periods of sanity are so short.
I'm not sure what you are calling BS, but this is how the system works. I've been around it 15 years. It's amazing what happens once you get a label, a spot in a homeless shelter, a mental health appointment, and a social worker and a case manager to work with you. The reason more people don't do this is that they are afraid of what is on the other side of a psychiatric hospital. One flew over a cuckoos nest was 1960's version. This time it really is different.
I don't know about that. Most of the people I've worked with in inpatient public mental health have been assholes and proud of it. The patients notice it as well.
It sucks though - especially for the kids.
How do you know all this? Will they get you a car, also?
They will not get you a car. Enjoy the free bus pass.
I work one day a week with these people. They will not get you a car! Sorry!
... or, he could move to a country with a soul, that takes care of it's less fortunate (not just the top 2%) without question... and the quality of life for all is better for it.
there are 43 million on SNAP - and hell, you can live and and even eat better as a BUM in Santa Barbara (the main street bus is still free)
Just like we were told that the FDIC was for the benefit of the depositors, we find out that it is for the benefit of banks so they could be irresponsible without consequences. So with the unemployment insurance. It provides a safety net of sorts so that those who send the jobs overseas can ignore the disenfranchized who will be taken care of, sort of. The downfall began with the New Deal because it changed our attitude toward ourselves.
It's as if some evil beast controls government, the economy, and our lives now."
"IT DOES"
the truth is that unless you can picture a life for yourself outside of the Disney charade we all have endured for the past many years, when the machine puts you out to pasture you are truly done for.
if you can picture life outside the machine, and use your limited spiritual, intellectual and material resources to prepare for a real life outside of the Somasphere, then you have a chance where so many will fail
having to rely on the statist, corporeal, state for survival, is truly suicide

Say what you want about China but over there losers like this get 40 years hard labor in the forgotten gulags of ... wherever. God bless them for that.
Those of us who have jobs didn't get them by sitting around and whining about how Obama didn't give us enough free money.
"over there" you would be jailed for this post.
God bless em one and all.
cretin.
May you work for 2 bucks a day and be beaten morning and night.

What did "Mark" do with all the money he made during this 35 year career, smoke it?

"It takes money to make money".
Have you ever played Monopoly? Who wins? Answer: whoever lands on the expensive lots and buys them, invests all into hotels and collects rent. Everybody else goes bankrupt. That is pure Capitalism. That is pure free market.
Thirty years of the de-regulation of business in this country has enabled the wealthy to accumulate most of the wealth. Something like: "the top 1 percent owns 50% of the wealth, and the top 5% owns 90%.?"
And all the way to the bank, they are getting your politicians to tell you that they need lower taxes and LESS regulation. They keep telling you that government is BAD!!!
You need LESS government, they say. And when there is less government, we'll create a job for you. Once we get rid of all these government handouts, and you are all very hungry, when the minimum wage is repealed and we have a truly "free" market, then we'll give you a job!
"America needs to be more competitive", they say. "Get government off the backs of business!", they say.
And what jobs will business create? When any business man creates a job, it is with the intent of leveraging the labor of another. Leveraging that labor to make a profit. Unprofitable businesses go OUT of business, and the profitable ones survive. To make profits. So the wealth/money becomes concentrated at the top.
Does business send people to college? Does business build roads for people to drive on? Does business give out of work people a stipend to live on until things pick up again?
No. The government does. WE make those investments in ourselves. Business uses those investments for their profit.
I'll repeat what i've said before. This country needed HIGHER taxes for the last 30 years. Higher taxes would have balanced the budget of governments. If the taxes got too high people would have got involved to cut government spending. Higher taxes would have moderated the economic booms and our government would have some ammunition to bail us out during the slowdowns. There would be none of this talk of "sovereign default".
The list could go on. It was government DEBT that inflated the economy for the last 30 years. NOT government spending. Government DEBT. There is nothing wrong with democratic government, only government DEBT!!!!!
Business siphoned off all of this government money that was put into the economy over the last 30 years, and now they blame it on the government! And they don't even want to talk about returning some of it. Like raising taxes on the rich.
Think outside of the box sheeple.
"Thirty years of the de-regulation of business in this country has enabled the wealthy to accumulate most of the wealth. Something like: "the top 1 percent owns 50% of the wealth, and the top 5% owns 90%.?"
Regulation is ever-present and growing. There is very little the government does not dip into. Regulation is often supported by existing corporations to create an obstacle to new entrants in that industry.
Regulation is fascism, and is part of the wealth-concentrating phenomenon that has been occurring in this country for decades.
Yes that is the real problem. Regulations being used as barriers to entry. I benefit in my field, but I recognize regulatory barriers as a harm to consumers and as a benefit to special interests
Who is Gault, then?
We are all gault to some degree. We all respond to incentives and disincentives.
Like politicians . . .
"regulation" is a word that covers a lot of territory, and is a buzzword.
It was a regulation that made me buy all new propane tanks a few years back. "Safety". I worked in EMS for many years and don't remember ever seeing someone injured by a propane tank. I am sure that the big propane companies got their congressman to introduce legislation requiring everyone to buy another tank. So they profited.
That is fascism. Government at the behest of business.
The regulation that I think would be helpful is the type of regulations that work to return money to productive endeavors. Like stop predatory lending. Like stop insurance companys from charging what the market will bear and finding frivolous reasons to avoid paying claims. How about non-profit insurance companies? The regulation that I support includes regulations to support a single payer health care insurance. Things that make life better for the common people in this country. A country where you don't have to keep up with the Joneses by going deep into debt. Where there are public parks, public librarys, public roads, public health care. All paid for by the increases in national productivity that we have had over the last several decades. Where did all that productivity gain go? It wasn't into wages. And it wasn't into taxes, the govt is broke too. It went to the top. And there it sits. Waiting for another profitable trade.
gh
Monopoly is oversimplified. In the real world, one could buy up Baltic Avenue for nothing, work to improve the area until it is equal to Marvin Gardens. Of course, it will never be waterfront property.
Similarly, someone can pay the full price for Boardwalk, but fail to maintain it, and it becomes a shithole like Coney Island is today, a shadow of its former self.
THIS is real capitalism. Not a world where prices are arbitrarily set, but one where they are dynamic.
Funny you don't think businesses send people to college (where did Daddy's wage come from?), build roads (never heard of road use taxes that shipping companies pay, I'm sure), or God forbid, that they could create private unemployment insurance companies (they can't, due to government monopoly).
Yes, you should think outside of the box, rather than glueing yourself to the inside of the left liberal box.
But the point is: It takes money to make money. It takes money to fix up Baltic. It takes money to go to school. etc.
When the money is concentrated, how does it get redistributed without more being created. No business person willingly parts with his money. He only spends it to make more.
Government of the people needs to harness capitalism. Not the other way around.
gh
Well said, sellstop!
Sell, how old are you? Not old enough to remember.
"Does business send people to college? Does business build roads for people to drive on? Does business give out of work people a stipend to live on until things pick up again?"
Guess what, yes, they used to, before things got totally fucked up. Part of my college was paid from untaxed (RR started taxing it) tuition reimbursement from my employers. Yes, bizzes used to build roads, for the good of themselves and the community they were a part of. I knew many bizzes that employed the mentally challenged sweeping floors, so they would not be homeless and hungry. You used to get things like severance pay and turkeys at thanksgiving and hams at Xmas and bonuses (not just for the execs). So, don't go blaming the businesses, blame the people that run them now.
This is part of our societal sickness. People just don't do what is good or right, "it's the govs job to do that". Bullshit. I try to run my small biz the old fashioned way. It was hard to find my few good employess who weren't entitled, lazy fucks who think they shouldn't have to actually work for a living. So I blame the employees out there too. (not mine) I blame our whole sick psychopathic society.
And thank you Hannibal, for your generous offer, how rare and wonderful. We just need more people to step up to the plate and DO SOMETHING. Not for yourself, but for the good of your family, community and country. Doesn't seem like anybody wants to do that anymore unless they are looking for a medal or their name in the paper.
The one legitimate beef is the age discrimination in employment. But in the slave days the youngest, strongest slave fetched the largest price tag. Guess we haven't progressed much.
WA, WA, WA.
TELL THIS GUY TO OPEN A WINERY.
AS MUCH AS HE WINES HE'D BE A MILLIONAIRE.
aaaand another useless troll joins the threads. . .
member 1 week, eh "Judy"? no doubt you'll be all caps 'n' one liners twitting "look at ME" - lovely.
I think that what is really sad is that this poor man seems to intend to waste his death by killing himself when there are so many nasty, greedy, purely evil people out there who deserve to be killed, and who better to to it than someone who, like this poor soul, is ready to die. And the thing is, there are so very many just like him - weeping about the unfairness of it all and crawling away to die a lonely death. Now that's sad.
It is very rare that the deserving get killed. Usually it's somebody who didn't deserve it.
What really does amaze me is how the people of the USA simply bend over and say please screw me from behind again and again.
I know what to do,let`s build a Bullet train.Won`t that solve our problems?
This is what happens when you reward incompetence and penalize the able!
I know! Let's go to school and learn how to spell. That will solve our problems!!
The saddist thing about this letter is that the only thing he has to live for is a Government Check.
so if he is 63 he can grab money now right?? you can pick up cash at 62 if you opt in early.. but he thinks dying is better since he cant get the fully booty until 70?? this is crap - i guess he has a job now writing fiction
Not a bad gig if you can get it. But seriously, I never want to retire. I don't get that mindset. As long as I can be productive, I want to contribute. When was retirement age introduced? In the industrial era? I actually don't know.
Recently read Wolf Hall - very different view of Cromwell and T More. Did people retire back then - step back from caring about the future - not!
I read this letter and I feel compassion. I am also 61, unemployed for a long time, with no icome, but still able to live from savings, which is rapidly disappearing.
The comments about God are interesting. Spiritual knowledge begins by knowing the difference between the body and the soul(source of conscioiusness), then understanding what is the material nature, what is karma (action/reaction), what is time, and finally Who is God and how He is the master of nature's law, but not subject to them.
Deleted.
Post out of context. Me retarded.
If I go like this, I'll do it with honor.
I'll know the root of the problem.
I'll know the immediate outcomes of my decisions.
The only way I'll go is if I lose my mind.
Only if I lose my will to question everthing I have the energy to question.
That's what gives me substance.
That's why I'm a survivor.
I was a dependent before, and I may be again, but it should be avoided at every step.
No Guarantees, not in this world. Not anywhere.
Tell Mark the S&P closed green.
Cheer up and celebrate buddy!
My sincerest apologies Mark. When you listed your attributes it seems to me that you forgot one. You were also a realist. A witness as it were. Not a very good position is it.
The amount of people that will walk in his shoes is gonna be staggering.
Really a wholesale change of conscioiusness is required; greed and lust are not good masters of any "civilization".
bhakta,
I whole heartedly agree.
A quote I have on the wall of my office:
"Men, it has been said, think in herds. It will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only regain their senses slowly and one by one."
Charles Mackay
from Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds.
Shocking
USA, you were a great nation. Now you are not. simple and sad!
We should all secure a 25'X25' track of land free and clear and some egg-laying hens. If the free and clear part is not possible, consider a glock free and clear.
Waaaaa, the world sucks, but Obama promised change!
Slug a cop and get 3 hots and a cot and free health care.
One more moron gone, it's a start.
Please forgive me for sounding like a smug a-hole, but is it possible that older folk aren't properly marketing their skills in their resume and interviews?
People need to realize that a company isn't going to hire you because you "worked" somehwere and completed tasks for 25 years. I've seen this happen too often, someone gets comfortable with their job, doesn't keep up on skills, track accomplishments or performance numbers. They think they'll stay at their current job forever and when the SHTF they make a resume with a list of tasks they completed that in no way convinces the hiring company that they can add value to the company. I think that everyone should be updating their resume while they are employed and looking for a better job everyday! Companies have no qualms about firing people or outsourcing... Employees should have no qualms about trying to land a gig with the highest bidder.
Is it always a person's fault they get laid off? Absolutely not, but I do think that sometimes people need to think about the value of what they're doing everyday. If you don't see how you're adding value, then you better find a way to before the boss figures it out.
"Please forgive me for sounding like a smug a-hole"
You are forgiven.
Perhaps you know why the USA sold-out to Communist China?
If you can explain that you can explain everything.
I think that everyone should be updating their resume while they are employed and looking for a better job everyday!
Not to mention the bump in your personal morale having a foot out of the door, it lessens the shock when your position is to be eliminated.
The ink on a good resume is never dry!
"The ink on a good resume is never dry!"
brilliant line. uncommon attitude in this 'i paid my dues already' entitlement-driven society.
bravo.

Only a Sociopath would find that letter unconvincing.
what part was convincing? Or worth reading further?
Slug-a-cop.
Not familiar with "Slug-a-cop" old bean.
What does that mean?
I did not say it was convincing.
I said only a Sociopath would find it unconvincing.
Subtle. But different.
Can you see the difference?
Only a fool would find it convincing.
Only a sociopath would find it unconvincing.
Let's delete the whole fucking thing.
I had a tough time reading about "Marc's" plight. As a homo, at least he didn't have to walk in the shoes of straight White men who are purposely on the short end of affirmative action, and we know he didn't have 3-4 mouths to feed on top of his own.
To me me, he's a drama queen. Most people can't afford to "check out", they have too many others dependent on them. I feel bad that he tried everything, even being a fag, and nothing worked, but the facts are homos are a privileged class with low overhead.
"but the facts are homos are a privileged class with low overhead."
Does that apply to childless Widows as well?
Are you saying Marc is a childless widow, or are you just proud to be gay? You should consider unplugging your tv for awhile.
"Are you saying Marc is a childless widow, or are you just proud to be gay?"
Perhaps a childless Widower is more to your taste?
God almighty you really are one undereducated moron.
And your arguments are always fact filled and brilliant.
Dumbass.
Wow. At least your handle gave us some clue. Wow.
Not happy that some people see Israel-firsters as traitors? Instead of addressing the fact that homos benefit from "hate laws" jews have pushed in this country, you choose to focus on my anti-Israel avatar? Weak.
What in the name of God are you talking about?
Have you any idea just how stupid this sounds when you read it?
"Instead of addressing the fact that homos benefit from "hate laws" jews have pushed in this country, you choose to focus on my anti-Israel avatar?"
Have you any idea how stupid your worthess ad-hominem attack comments sound?
Try posting something worth reading or STFU.
Hey Lord Welligton ,
The "hate laws" protect your overlords and their devious and deceptive actions. If and when the sheeple ever awaken
(yourself excluded), they will not be able to vote them off the island.
Too, until all judicial posts are populated by other Judge Jewdy's these strategic laws will protect the proxy(host) country from being taken back by it's rightful owners. We are all hoping that the great Mayor Bloomberg gets his wish of national gun control so you all will be disarmed. Then our ownership will escalate.
Wow.
dumping of us treasury begins...
http://dawnwires.com/investment-news/the-dumping-of-us-treasury-begins-a...
Most folks have no idea just how far the Globalists and the Banksters have taken their dream of the one world government and currency. It is an old dream that goes back hundreds of years and we have been warned for just as long.
In 1899, the book, The Coming Battle, warned us of the evils of a federal reserve banking system. A list of warnings via published books:
1919 " The New World Order by Samuel Batten
1921 " The Coming Revolution; The plot against Civilization by Nesta Webster.
1940 The New World Order by HG Wells
1984 The World Order by Eustace Mullins
1991 The Secrets of the Federal Reserve by Eustace Mullins
The list is but a fraction of good reference material out there. We are dominated by the unholy loose alliance of: The Bilderbergs, the Club of Rome, The Royal Institute of International affairs, The Trilateral Commission, The Council on Foreign Relations and the willing front " The United Nations.
This is the "Round Table" that, backed by others such as the Tavistock Institution and The Fabian Society, that impose the Globalist will upon us.
We were further warned by two fiction pieces: George Orwell's 1984 and Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. Julian Huxley, brother to Aldou, (Julian was the first President of UNESCO)in an interview made it very clear that a 1984 world was never intended. It was to be 1984 tactics that would bring about the Brave New World. That was the Globalist model at that time.
Today, we see their handiwork in a Federal Reserve System that has brought us to our knees. And, that same system now controls 'ol King DOW and the FTSE and NIKKEI and more by using Reagan's Presidential Working Group on Financial Matters, aka, The Plunge Protection Team. Participating banks are funded by The Federal Reserve to basically "rig the markets and commodities" to bring about their desires.
To them, a consolidated system would be exactly what they want. As for that pesky SEC, it never really goes after the really big Boyz-in-da-Hood, it goes after whomever they are directed to go after by this same scurrilous elite. The Globalists also use the Federal Reserve to work other markets around the world and have been doing so for a long time.
Nothing will change until all of us stand up at once as a unified legal voice and root the Elite out of their Golden Towers and give them an old fashioned tar and feather job and parade them around on a splintery rail, headed for the Hoosegow " or worse. Of course, the denizens of Hell are still waiting for the sound of the ice cream truck. As long as we continue to take it, we get what we deserve.
On January 30, 1976, A Declaration of Interdependence was introduced to Congress and was signed by 32 Senators and 92 Representatives and stated: Two centuries ago our forefathers brought forth a new nation. Now, we must join with others to bring forth a New World Order (Epperson " The New World Order).
President Bush the elder made his famous New World Order introduction in a speech and that should have warned us. But then, in 1936, the Big Banksters attempted to oust Franklin Roosevelt through a coup attempt to be led by Major General Smedley D. Butler, twice awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.
But, he went to FDR instead and the Big Banksters had to back away. Our most recent warning came via Obama's State of the Union Address in which he made it very clear that the old ways were gone. No longer would you go to work at the factory and receive a good paycheck and perhaps watch your son follow in your footsteps.
He stated very succinctly that those days were gone. We ar now in a global economy. I suppose that means that if you were an iron worker in Allentown, you may well have to move to Asia and do the same job for pennies on the dollar.
This is an old struggle and no puny SEC is going to ever rein in the likes of these old children of the Great Robber Barons. Consolidation? You bet! It's just easier that way. Now then, my children, go back to sleep. All is well " it's really easier " that way. And just to make sure, Officer McThug will now tuck you in and sing for you.
