The Dollar Volatility ETF

Tyler Durden's picture

...Alas does not exist. Which begs the question how have iShares and Direxion not made a quintuple levered, dollar vol tracking index yet? Aside from another class action lawsuit in the making, it would provide the heatmappers with a whole new level of adrenaline now that habituation levels have set in with FAZ and BGZ.

Thank you, TD.  I just saw this before coming to ZH.

I see it as an attempt to slyly strengthen the dollar substantially as the market opens so DXY can be driven down during the day to sustain the market.

Yeah, I watched the Euro take a half-cent straight-down dump on no news, with an immediate hit to gold/silver.

I am still hoping for $5 FAZ sometime in the near future.  All the money that has gone into the banks has been used to give out bonuses, shore up commercial real estate, buy bank shares, and sell sell sell FAZ.  The only people the bailout helped were the banksters with the Porsches and their political cronies.

FAZ has already hit $5, upon which there was a reverse split, so GS et al can short it more.......I don't expect a change this time...

I think it is time to get long the USD.  Just my humble opinion.

Well, you will have no trouble finding some as there are trillions and trillions available; with trillions more to come.

I agree. The sell the dollar trade is very crowded. I think long term the dollar is dead but within 2% of this point I think we will see a 15-20% dollar rally and a stock market drop.

blackswan said there was record volume recently on DXY. look at it, in the past it preceded important turn points.

How many would you like to order?  Hundreds, thousands, millions, billions are now Chump Change.  May we put you down for at least one trillion?

Thank you.

No worries here... we'll just have to crack the whip harder to wring even more out of the sheeples pockets to help out our bankster friends... it's the patriotic thing to do.

I don't think there was any question SNB was in the market selling CHF again (early this morning and again later).  At least they will verify it, unlike this country's banksters.

An Open Letter To The Messiah!

Dear Messiah,

Please note that the OTHER Messiah drove out the corrupt moneychangers and preached against them.

When will you get out of bed with the corrupt moneychangers and eradicate them from our society?

Thank you for your prompt attention in this matter, Oh Great Messiah!

Sincerely,

Hog

hey go easy on iShares... they have not only avoided the levered and inverse ETF market, but have publicly criticized them with (admittedly self-interested) research. it's Direxion and ProShares that should be building up their class-action reserves

Plus oil inventories were held down again to pump the energy stocks.  I wonder if Goldman and JPM's tankers have been counted?  Doubt it.

You are right that the issuers of these ETFs should be sued left right and center. In aggregate they have likely vanished with over a trillion dollars.
