She is leaving her position because she finally sees the shit storm coming. She is getting out of the state and down scaling her living expenses 75%.
I heard a rumor we are all getting 5% across the board pay cuts. Some folks are freaking, I think we will be lucky if that is all that happens. Two emergency budget meetings, April 30. My health care is getting reamed, my retirement program I chose is kicking me out and I am being forced to pick which fucking way I will go into the market. (Funny, they don't even offer a way for me to do gold or miners). I have no clue what to do.
But all in all, everything is fine. I keep working a job that I think is a ponzi scam any way, and when I tell people this and that I think we should change some shit, they get very very angry with me.

I feel sympathy for you since i know what its like to work with shit-for-brains morons. you are right, the world is going down the shithole. Everyone is filled with this feeling of uncertainty and aggravation and i hear more and more stories from the people which know nothing of what we discuss here, how everything is fucked up, how they can hardly keep pace with all the shit that is attacking them daily. And there is no one to help, no one to offer a little encouragement or a few nice words. Its like everyone is alone among the many. And they become more angry when they see the lavishness and the lack of any empathy from those who sit on the top. they are sick and tired of listening to the same shit everyday and not seeing any of it around them. some went insane, some killed themselves, some just said fuck it and became the ghost of Dionysus himself. I really hope you pull trough this shit, but also know that you are one of the fortunate few who still have a job and regular income.

This issue has been a problem since the late 70s beginning with quoting another news source. Once the main networks didn't need to do investigative reporting anymore, and could just say "According to blabyde-blah-blah-blah...'THIS' happened". That was the day mainstream media started to die! At that point "sources" became more valuable than the truth, and gumshoes started to become irrelevant, and thence the company they worked for.
Newspapers could save themselves, but they'd have to start investigating real issues with critical thinking skills again, and sound off about it like they had a pair!
So, I say, to Dow Jones, and the rest of the establishment media complaining that they have their stories "stolen": Kettle, meet Pot! Ironic isn't it.
