Mount Etna Erupting?

Tyler Durden's picture

Is there a VIX index of climatic and/or geologic activity? Cause the last few weeks have been off the charts. Breaking News shares pictures showing that  the Etna volcano has erupted (or at least is projectiling magma far more potently than it traditionally does in its dormant state). As of now, it is unclear if millions of birds, crabs, or fish have fallen out of the sky surrounding Vesuvius. Conveniently this occurs hours after we presented Nigel Farage's rather "glass half emptyish" outlook on Italy's prospects.

Lava flow:

We will bring other photos and video once we find them. In the meantime readers can keep track of the volcano at the Istitutonazionale di geofisica e vulcanologia .

The Los Angeles Times reported last week that Al and Tipper Gore greatly expanded their carbon footprint with the purchase of their fourth luxury home. The 'global warming' business has been very, very good to the Gores.

Former Vice President Al Gore and his wife, Tipper, have added a Montecito-area property to their real estate holdings, reports the Montecito Journal... The couple spent $8,875,000 on an ocean-view villa on 1.5 acres with a swimming pool, spa and fountains, a real estate source familiar with the deal confirms. The Italian-style house has six fireplaces, five bedrooms and nine bathrooms.

Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get into locked a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can".

"Strange memories on this nervous night in Las Vegas. Five years later? Six? It seems like a lifetime, or at least a main era... The kind of peak that never comes again. San Francisco in the middle sixties was a very special time and place to be a part of. Maybe it meant something, maybe not, in the long run. But no explanation, no mix of words or music or memories can touch that sense of knowing that you were there and alive in that corner of time in the world. Whatever it meant. There was madness in any direction, at any hour. You could strike sparks anywhere. There was a fantastic universal sense that whatever we were doing was right, that we were winning. And that, I think, was the handle - that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of Old and Evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn’t need that. Our energy would simply prevail. There was no point in fighting - on our side or theirs. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave. So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark - that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back."

It isn't all that uncommon for posts to disappear.  If a post gets 30 junks then it is pulled, also as said above the server load on this site sometimes has some odd effects.  I once replied to a person only to find that the post that I had replied to go moved to a different article.

The only people that I know of that have been banned on this site worked very hard to get that way.  Even if Harry is disliked, he is at least civil, and is unlikely to be banned.

Appeasing the Mayan Gods to not shutter all life on earth before Dec. 21, 2012, 17 hundred assorted employees of the World Bank, IMF and ECB were sacrificed to the Lava Gods on Mt. A medium one. A small ice age coming due to too much volcano ash in the air (sunlight blocked). In winter ash flows at lower altitude (vs flows at higher altitude in summer) where birds could inhaled and became sick, and some even became disoriented if such ash has maganetic. It's my theory though my study is not in Geo.

Etna is not dangerous. It is not prone to pyroclastic explosions. Is a slow flow volcano, and the magma usally just flows in the desert Valle del Bove and simply cools off. It is Vesuvio that can be extremely dangerous. Vesuvio buried Pompei with a pyroclastic blast. Etna usually gives very spectacular night views and photo-ops chances, but nothing else.

Do You Believe It!
Sooooooooooooo Fucking Italian!

Linked to the page.
Great balls of one satellite page photo from like 1954 or something, and when I clicked on the box that says...

 "Satellite Image of Italy"

a page comes up that says...

"Page not available on this server"

Wonder how many Italians probably are employed full time to make sure this whole thing works seamlessly?  All I wanna see is one single fucking city, or how about even a simple bocci court being devowered in molten lava and can't even get a God-damned picture!

And they say Ireland's got a problem?  We ain't seen nothing yet!  Italy'll default and nobody there'll even notice it.

Dr. Carl Sagan says this will not affect POMO.   There will still be billions and billions and billions and billions and billions... Enough to fill The Cosmos.

I think it is not a coincidence, after we have had weeks of peace and calm - now eventually we are back to some storms - across the board ... Hammy sticks his head out again: http://marketcyclesresearch.blogspot.com/2011/01/imho-we-are-very-close-to-next-sell-off.html

Etna is a constant erupting volcano. It's not a worry.

And even a big eruption would only be bad for the middle east and would at max be able to kill a few thousand.

So, let's all relax, it's just something we don't need to give a rats ass about.

It is happening in Europe, BUT I AM SAFE!! NOBODY NEEDS TO WORRY!!

Mt. Etna's been busy! The largest active volcano in Europe erupted on Wednesday night, sending lava down its ridge. The eruption only lasted an hour, and didn't pose a threat, but boy did it make for some pretty visuals.
