EURCHF Capitulation As Pair Hits Fresh All Time Record Low Of 1.2892

Tyler Durden's picture

And meanwhile in Europe, things are going from horrendous to abysmal. The EURCHF just touched on a fresh all time record low, as everyone is now funneling their capital, deposits and assets into Zurich, Geneva and Bern. Hungarian debtors are now writing in pain, as is Phillip Hildebrand as the Swiss export industry is one foot in the grave. All those in the market for a new Patek perpetual calendar will have to wait.

They are going for help because I doubt they have any or will have any before long. Bad money can drive out good but this time miss daisy got driven to the morgue. While Morgan Freeman is over at the printing press making water.

I just can't stop thinking about science fiction author David Brin's 'not-entirely-fanciful' plot device that forms part of the background story in his novel "Earth"... (written in the late 80's)...

That somewhere in the mid-teens of the 21st century we'd have what he called 'The Helvetian War'...

That as a result of excessive financialization, the characteristics of networks, and the rapidly changing technologies of 'money manipulation' and scale...

We'd end up with the world coming to the realization that way too much money had gone to crooks and tyrants... and was hidden away in secret accounts...

Which ends in a bloody invasion of Switzerland to find and recover all the stolen loot...

All fiction of course.

Uh huh...
