You know things are bad when the dollar is weakening, global economy is slowing, IEA willing to manipulate oil pricing...and oil is heading back for $100.
That would be game.set.match. for peak dollar and peak oil wrapped nicely in one.
Loooook at today's volume(less) market...nothing but some HFT churning. Absent real buyers, sellers. Recent history sez this is likely terribly bullish as Skynet prefers to do it's market levitation work solo.

I changed my Euros and GB Pounds to Swiss Francs in 2008 and have been laughing.
Few people realise that the Swiss Franc is a safe currency.
If you plot Gold to Swiss Franc , you will see that Gold has fallen against the Swiss Franc. This is because Gold has not gone up in value but the US Dollar has devalued significantly.
However, do not expect the Swiss Franc to be so strong in 18 months when Switzeland can no longer export (too expensive and uncompetative) and also its shares (e.g. Nestle) will fall as its profits from overseas subsidiary companies in local currencies are converted into the strong Swiss Franc and therefore profit and dividend will be substancially smaller.
