Evil, Vicious, Smelly, Satan-Worshipping CDS Speculators Take South Korea CDS 6 Bps Wider To 84

Tyler Durden's picture

You see it wasn't North Korean torpedoes, it was the South Korea Sovereign Destabilization Fund, LLC. Its principals are all about to be exiled by the SEC to St. Helena for life.

Tyler, call me whatever vile names you wish but I do not smell. My odorific emanations are utterly...er...udderly exquisite.

I trust is it "unsubstantiated"!:)

I'm wondering why you're not reporting on AMBAC CDS being triggered
(not related to this Korean debacle, but still).
It was a slow-mo trainwreck in the last few days, but now it's a credit event.

ABK has been 60/65% upf for a while now so from a MTM perspective there us little impact. The big fear/issue now is what are deliverables and how the segregation will affect any non-segregated deals...could be some nasty contagion...MBI is actually a little tighter today after being dragged wider recently (but this could be some techncials from IG9 compression)...

Wait I thought actions taken by the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance may trigger a credit event under ISDA, but a credit event hasn't bee declared yet by ISDA

Like Dr. Evil, these damn hedge funds now have their own submarines. Russian surplus...I hope they can read the instruction manuals.

LOL

You can buy just about anything from the local Russian Army/Navy surplus store.

"NOW you've gone and done it. I said to push THAT button, not this button. Up periscope! Let's see what kind of mess you've got us into because of your stupidity. Oh shit, someone call the bond desk, pronto."

I think that it's just manipulation.  Any time any precious metal goes down it's manipulation, and any time that the stock market goes up it's manipulation.

Why not South Korea's CDS too?

Master Baiting is a form of manipulation too.

Now now MsCreant, it's not nice to poke sticks at the money monkey when he's busy Master Baiting.

This is peanuts compared to what happened to Iceland a while back.  Maybe banking institutions really are more dangerous than standing armies...

St. Helena is not a bad place at all. I wouldn't mind much being exiled there.
