Naw, we already have freedom and democracy here. ;)
Hitlarry Clitwoman live now, just went full lizard (could be the feed though) but she looked normal to me.
What a joke. -lol- But I don't expect more from my government.
Double
+1 that made me laugh.
Clinton now reports Emperor Ben is firing up the Star Destroyer to make a personal appearance in Cairo to quell the unrest. He will land atop the Sphinx and drop magical dollars to the populace until the riots have come to a halt.
Need to add HitLarry is on Al Jazeera live!
Morphed into her/it's normal lizard state a couple of times.
Hillary is some weird creature. Lizzard-woman with a gigantic booty, who's bones snap when she tips over. Holbrooke's aorta burst while sitting in her office!?!
Hillary is now issuing her comments on the riots:
She believes in democratic reform! ...that is until whatever government comes after doesn't align with their interests.
She's so full of shit.
Not if your bloodline has reptile blood in it.
Not if your bloodline has reptile blood in it.
She's basically saying stuff that Bush or her husband might have said.... that's consistent with long standing U.S. foreign policy in other words. If the "good guys" win in Egypt this will make Hillary look stronger than Obama (who is missing an opportunity here), especially once he tries to come out and take credit for it after the winner has been decided.

HitLarry On al Jazeera=PANIC IN DC
Nice. I hope so. It's been a long time comming. "PANIC IN DC"
Military is in alexanderia now.
It always hinges on the military. If they side with the regime, then there will be a lot of dead people very soon.

WTF! The Irish and their Unborn children will have to pay for the banksters that caused this... for a generation!!! Whilst the greedy banksters get to keep their fat bonuses. More than about time for the Irish to riot in the streets as well
Billary Clinton calls for freedom to protest but see's opportunity for "reform". Ever hear that before, like reform healthcare, reform banking, reform sheeple rights?
They need their brains reforming!
This is the New World Order...
No internet or cell phone usage, this is wet dream material for Obama.
Have a friend that visits Egypt regularly that claims we are getting the filtered version.
No internet can be a double-edged sword in cases like this.
With no other way to communicate, people might become more likely to take to the streets.
More power to them!
Looks like they expected the internet to fail:

By Goddess, this American is much more inspired by the acts of patriotism in Egypt.. than an act of American patriotism i've heard about in many years.
Viva La Egypt!

Walk Like an Egyptian just got a new meaning.
Mubarak - "Get the Army out into the streets"
Army - "You go first, we'll follow!"
What Bush's "freedom agenda", 2 useless wars and a trillion dollars of spending could not accomplish....Uncle Ben did it with 3 months of running his printing press. Dubya must be kicking himself now....
Pieces are falling apart around Israel.

Not sure that that particular condition is needed...
Not saying the US is a paradise, but Europe is a powder keg in general, just like it has always been.

I don't know why but I decided to read comments on a Yahoo article about Egypt. Those people seriously don't have a clue.
This is rich, the "world's strongest military" has been in Afghanistan for 10 years and hasn't accomplished jack shit; Egyptian civilians have taken over the country in less than 10 hours...
in its 60 year existence, the Egyptian Military has never opened fire on civilians. It remains to be seen if that held tonight, but you are comparing apples and oranges. It might have gone better in Afghanistan if they had WANTED to be taken over, you know?
My hats off to the Egyptian military...
My hats off to the Egyptian military...
TD, don't count Mubarak out yet. If he still has the support of the military, they will put this down. The problem is that the cost to the US interests if Egypt crushed the protesters militarily is frightening.
The military has abandoned him. Check out the AJE feed.
But did they, or is that propaganda aimed at the military?
So far the only mention of the military firing on protesters in Cairo was on Fox news, and almost all other news feeds say effectively the opposite, that the military defended the protesters and engaged the police. As of now, the military that entered Cairo in full on tanks is actually the presidents guard, and they are being cheered and hailed. They headed for the TV station but there is no exact word what they did when they got there.
If the Egyptian military has ever opened fire, it hasn't been noticed.

US State dept. just canceleld their briefing to "wait" for a statement from the Egyptian Government...is a deal in the works for Mubarak to step down?
if Mubarak will take Obama, Congress and the Senate with him to anywhere but here... I think the Egyptian People should take the deal... Oops, forgot "K" Street... take them too!
This puts Hillary in a real uncomfortable position. She's got to pretend to care about the Egyptian people while holding together their strategic assets in the area. I think the people are no longer interested in the strategic interests of the US or their puppets. I don't know how they can stop it. They've lost control. People are realizing that they can make the change in an abrupt fashion if they refuse to stand down.
An empowered Arab society that is independent of foreign interests is their worst fucking nightmare.
Agreed.
CNBC contributor Erin Burnett said Friday that oil prices would skyrocket if countries in the Middle East broke out from under the rule of brutal dictators.
Appearing on a Friday broadcast of MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Burnett said that the ongoing revolution in Egypt could threaten US interests in the region due to Egypt's history as an ally on matters pertaining to Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan.
She added that as one of the most developed economies in the Middle East, it was surprising to see many of the society's wealthiest individuals supporting regime change. Tens of thousands of protesters across the country have taken to the streets the last few days, demanding President Mubarak resign.
"One more thing," Burnett remarked. "If this spreads, the United States could take a huge hit because democracy in a place like Saudi Arabia, you've talked about who might come in power, what that means for oil prices. They're going to go stratospheric."
"There's no doubt about it,' MSNBC host Joe Scarborough said. "No doubt about it!"
While the White House has been unusually quiet on the situation in Egypt, President Barack Obama said yesterday that Egypt's leaders must be more "responsive" to their people.
Vice President Joe Biden, during an appearance Thursday night on PBS, also claimed that President Mubarak was not a dictator and should not step down.
http://blacklistednews.com/CNBC-anchor-implies-US-must-support-dictators-to-keep-cheap-oil-flowing/12482/0/25/25/Y/M.html
Ha Ha! Must keep the brutal dictators in power to save the United States Of America Corporation. Deomcracy in SA HA HA HA!
All hail brutal dictators!
All hail brutal dictators!
Someone needs to air drop her ass into that crowd in the capitol city.
Yes, they can never be allowed to become independent strong nations. That is against the official plan. However, it seems to be spreading faster than they can react. The state department has probably gone full retard trying to figure out a game plan.
That is free entertainment. I have never understood people who go to movie theathers to get fun. That is better than any hollywood comical line.
But at least, that is a stroke of sincerity. How many times US citizens enjoy faking a support to democracy while they only hope for dictatorship?
And what exactly will happen in the US if gas prices go stratospheric?
The US general environment will grow even more expensive to operate, meaning more pressure to ship away jobs as their output will no longer be valued enough to be maintained in such an expensive environment.
Yeah, I happened to catch her last week on a "news show" being touted as being on the "financial" beat or sumpin...LOL.
She actually said the debt is not a problem because household assets dwarf the debt...I ain't lyin.
MS. BURNETT: They want, they want debt, debt in focus. And we do have a debt problem, and I think we all know that. But I think one thing that doesn't get talked about, that maybe when we're feeling really bad about ourselves relative to China and the rest of the world, is even after the financial crisis with the 20 percent drop in net worth in this country, you've got $63 trillion in household assets. Our debt's $13.5 trillion. So we can cover that. We are a very, very wealthy country. And we can deal with these--what you call the big three: Social Security, Medicare and defense. We have to put a real plan out there. But we don't have a
crisis right this second on debt."
Ummm...WTF is she talkin about? My household assets have nothing to do with government debt.
Very, very bad things have happened to people who have attempted to touch my household assets.
And I ain't lyin about that either.

Nice comeback, Ivan. The only problem with y'alls theory is that if Israel is dependent on the USA's might, why would they bleed the US out?
Force of habit? Cyclical revision to mean? All of this has happened before.

Interesting. They have learned a lesson from Iraq. Antiquities in the region are of particular interest to the Davos/NeoCon/Zionist/Banksta crowd.
The uber criminals have left the country days ago with all the gold they could carry I'm sure.
Note to the protestors stage ambush at airport before TSHTF!
US Gov is "reviewing"the aid given to Egyptian government.
I wonder how much money and assets Mubarak and his cronies have stuffed in western banks, and what the banks will do with his assets once he's deposed. Would Western banks allow him and his henchmen access to his assets when he's no longer a useful tool to the West?
Always a bit taken as compensation from a failing dictator: freezing his assets.
Egypt Air just suspended flights into the country.
US Administration is trying to straddle the fence. You would think it might be time to crank up the moral courage and back a people, instead of a crony government.
Pot call a Kettle!
No way!
he he - not really laughing but has that ever happened before
No....but you know me, always the eternal optimist.
Rumors coming out of Egypt that Mubarak has left.
Gibbs O's suck boy is holding a pressor and a reporter just asked why a company based in the UK cut the internet access of to Egypt LOL, this is after suck boy opened the pressor stating the government of Egypt (and HitLarry earlier) needs to turn the communication back on. So the reptillian Queen who is the harlot of the government of the UK is responsible for the internet access (or lack of) for Egypt and they cut the communication off. Well well well you can't make this shit up. So the world is still licking the lizard Queen's ass eh? The empire never went away it just went into the shadows. The United States Corporation Of America is Englands bitch!
To add some fule to the fire (pun intended) a reporter over there held up a tear gas canister and it had the markings on it "Made In the USA" LOL LOL!
And who does the queen bow to?
Why the Five Arrows of course.

Maybe it would be prudent of us to write about what is working on the ground there?
The "internet" is down but does that include proxy servers or Linux?
I'm guessing that people who can't afford food don't have AX25 packet radio modems laying around.
NMJ (not my junk)
You can set up ad-hoc networks with just enough wireless adapters. It's not easy but not super hard. It works better if you have a bunch of wireless n devices as they have better range. In fact it's likely what kind of internet we'll have in a few years. Just as a way to strangle out the media companies.
http://communication.howstuffworks.com/how-wireless-mesh-networks-work.htm
Everybody that has 2 computers or more and a couple wireless adapters should set one up just for fun. I actually networked 2 computers with rs-232 cable before so I could play orcs vs humans with a neighbor. Because sometimes you just have to get your soldering iron out even if you got boxes of ethernet adapters and thousands of feet of cat 5. Because silly net rules.
The neocons are at it again with their scare tactics, trying to hoodwink us into believing that it's the "Muslim Brotherhood" behind all this.
Run! Run! The big bad Muslim is coming!

It's exactly the opposite. The revolts in the moslem nations are not against 30 year dictators.
It's against the oppressive system that has kept them under SUBMISSION for over a thousand years.
This was never about money.
This was never about power.
This is truly the demise of a religion we are witnessing.
This is how gods die.
Neocons are just trash, just like progressives--and any other partisan monkey that sucks up that political bullshit.
These downies will give up what remains of their souls before they ever rock the boat. America will have no revolution -- there'll only be the decay and atrophy of what used to be.
The rest of the world might fight with whatever they've got -- but we'll just take it. The America that's 'sold' to the rest of the world, and the America that actually is, are two different things.
Did Mubarak catch something ?
Maybe lead ?
With his head ?
he needs to catch some steel... with his face, over and over again.

Just heard that three private planes took off from Egypt under heavy guard.
Perhaps it's fitting that all of the world's wankers are at Davos, they can all hold hands while their empire collapses around them.
My take on Mubarak’s initial comments: I give him a week. His operative phrase was “we will continue…”
He essentially is telling the thousands of protesters: "You made a mistake."
Mubarak's "I have ordered the government to step down and I will name a new government tomorrow" means a new cabinet. But that won't be enough.
"I have ordered the government to step down and I will name a new government tomorrow"
That "He" will appoint ?
This is going to get ugly !!
Yemen ?? whos next ??
Yeah, but the new government will be totally different, he swears!
Exactly. It seems to me Mubarak did everything wrong
What I thought was interesting about the speech was that it was a total aboutface. Mubarak said none of the concerns of his people were the government's fault; he said we’ve been working on freedom, and we don’t have chaos but that the protests are creating chaos and this is dangerous but the people have security… And then he said he understood the people’s worries but that he also had responsibility for keeping order.
And then, just when the speech is about over, he abruptly states: I’m shutting down the government today and tomorrow we’ll have a new government. And he gave no reason for creating a new government. It almost sounded at first that he was resigning
All the while, the whole speech was just making the crowd angrier and hotter.
It looks to me that he is being pressured to step down and that he wanted to go on the record that he is doing well.
"All the while, the whole speech was just making the crowd angrier and hotter."
Wrong thread...the SOTU was earlier in the week ;-)
Touche! :))
Wow, I've haven't actually watched
The News on TV in ages,
but the coverage is pretty
good on CNN (and Al-Jazerra, but it's overloaded)
First post= n00b. Why is my input window so screwy? It shows each line I type as one single long sentence, stretching it out so that the whole is unreadable to me.
I the little window on AJ has been more stable than the big one but sometimes it's just audio: http://english.aljazeera.net/indepth/spotlight/anger-in-egypt/
RT is covering and has some scary footy: http://rt.com/news/color-revolution-sophisticated-technology/
I have not been able to find a way around it, though it has never really bothered me. The issue only arises when you are trying to edit your own post, AFAIK. Try it with a few different browsers, if it really bothers you - Firefox seems to do all right, Chrome as well.

Heh, Obama comes out and makes a speech that says nothing...as per usual
He's basically sitting on the fence; he supports the Egyptian citizens to protest for a new government, and at the same says the current government needs to provide what Mubarak promised. That doesn't even make sense
I missed the speech but over at gizmodo they say he did say internet access is a human right. Not that political leaders are known for sticking to their word but do you think he will regret having followed that piece of teleprompting?
With the way things are going - yes most likely. Although it's hard to say what % of the US population could care less about Egypt's current reform, letalone watch his speech on this subject to begin with
Those freedoms prez obooma just listed, wish we had them here in the US of A...
I hate getting political but all in all we have pretty good here compared to Egypt and most places. Also, what freedoms have we lost under Obama? Really, I'd like to know cause I dont feel less free and people say this all the time but never say what freedom they have lost. And im talking fundementals not taxes. Taxes have been around forever get used to it they aint going away and in any event they have been lowered under the President. I defened Bush too on other sites when he was President when people said he was a tyrant. He wasn't and we didnt lose much freedom under him. I just think it's all about conveience. You may have lost some conveniences like thru the TSA. But flying is not a right. I would say being not blown up because people dont want x-rays of the junk taken a right.
Everyone; meet a useful idiot. Its all about "convenience" our educational system has helped destroy this country.. Forget Mubarak, most school superintendents should be taken to the wood shed, especially yours RM.
