Follow The Night's Events In Egypt Live
Since this will be a critical night for Egypt, as many of the protesters are now on the move, are expected to besiege both the TV station and the Presidential palace, as well as the amry HQ in Alexandria and other cities, it make be prudent to keep an eye on events as they progress. Select keywords to watch out for are: "oil", "Suez", "rocket-propelled grenades", "escalation" and "onslaught."

Suez has been secured.
I don't think any of the insiders give a flying fuck about anything else.
Tell that to Apartheid Israel.
Like the Jews would say:
A EYE FOR AN EYE
AND
A NUCLEAR BOMB FOR A ROCK!
Why the US kept aircraft carrier Enterprise in southeastern Mediterranean and Kearsage warship/rescue ship en route. Suez passage to be assured. But I don't think those two ships and soldiers alone can ensure that.
Thank You Tyler for posting these links.
All we get on American TV is Israeli propaganda.
+10
So sick of the Israel input. They want a puppet government with some sort of "democracy" but make sure it's pro israel interests.
So sick of the Israel input.
++ Who isn't?
strongest supporters of #Mubarak? CIA, Saudi cocksucking pedophile King Abdullah, AIPAC and Israeli Mossad. Truth hurts. Junk me.

It seems like the world is falling apart. If you need a break, watch cabin girl mostly off the grid dancing in her cabin.
http://oko-organic-clothing.blogspot.com/2011/02/dancing-into-sanity.html
She needs to be more deliberate with the arm movements at 2:45.
Looking forward to your video link on how you might do it better.. lol!
I'm in lust...
Tyler,
Food inflation rebellions now spreading to South America.

Let's get real here. As much as we would like to see Mubarak and his cronies be hung from a lamp post the people are only armed with sticks and stones. Are they gonna storm the castle with that? No freakin' way, especially against the American-supplied M-16s in the hands of the military.
I don't feel sorry for the starving people and those who have been plundered over there. They willfully gave away their rights and brought this situation upon themselves. I think it was George Washington who said that those who give up freedom for fleeting security deserve neither. Nuff said.
The difference between you and them is that they're combating servitude, while you revel in yours.
Nope. The difference is that I have never given away my freedom without a fight. Those people delude themselves in thinking that peaceful revolutions work: think of them as middle-eastern hippies. Hippies, tree huggers, communists and left-wingers in general have no respect for gun rights and property rights. Such people deserve no respect. I hate Mubarak as much as I dislike the average person on Tahrir square.
Yeah, you're right. I remember that decades-long civil war in the Phillipines to get rid of the Marcoses. Who can forget the heroic General Gandhi leading his volunteer armies of Indians against the better-armed British occupiers? And, of course, ongoing bloody revolution still engulfs Eastern Europe from East Germany to the Ukraine as the peasants fight their Soviet overlords.
In the case of the Phillipines and India, it was more a transfer of power than a revolution. In the Phillipines, Marcos conceded the election to Aquino and left (with a load of cash). The rest of the government remained pretty much intact. Perhaps a few Marcos cronies were also removed. In India, the British installed Nehru and other independence leaders in top offices while the lower levels of government continued to function as before.
It helped that Aquino, Gandhi and Nehru were reasonable people, not fanatics or power-crazed meglomaniacs. Even so, it is estimated that around a million Indians died during the partition. And Gandhi himself was ultimately assassinated by a fanatic.
A revolution where the government collapses is much more dangerous. You get a situation where no one is able to maintain order, and often the most ruthless group wins. For example in France, everyone hated King Louis. So they threw him out, issued the "Declaration of the Rights of Man" proclaimed a republic. And shortly afterwards the same bunch of people who had piously proclaimed the rights of man turned on their some of their more moderate members and initiated the period known as the "Reign of Terror" where so many people were guillotined. Of the victims, 8 percent were aristocrats, 6 percent were clergy, 14 percent were middle class and 72 percent were workers or peasants. This was later followed by the War in the Vendee where the new republic suppressed a peasant revolt against forced conscription. It has been called a genocide and is estimated that from 117,000 to 450,000 people were killed out of a population of around 800,000.
It is said that you should be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it. Although we all might like to see Mubarak removed, I think that it would be much better if this were to happen in an orderly fashion. If the Egyptian government collapses, there may be a free-for-all and the ultimate winner may be someone much worse than Mubarak.
This story makes it sound as all the events happened in a fish bowl.
They did not.
Hatred toward the French King Louis XVI? Nope. After the start of the revolution and before the beginning of the reign of terror, most French supported the King. Republican revolutionaries were a minority. The republic form of government had no credibility and was commonly thought to be only possible for small entities like cities. Most republics in those times were cities.
People wanted a reformation of the royal power apparatus and to carry out the changes the previous King Louis XV failed to implement.
Foreign actors intervened and they intervened in a way that influenced all the mentioned events. It was not "And shortly afterwards" as nothing happened between to favour the change in balance.
What changed the deal? The French King getting convicted by his royal family that fleeing from France and rallying a foreign army to regain France was the ideal solution.
He failed to flee. The event was reported and turned the King into a traitor as he was ready to march foreign armies on his own country.
The reign of terror was installed after a state of emergency. The state of emergency was declared following the march of German forces onto the newly proclaimed enemy France in order to restore royalty and King Louis.
The meddling of foreign powers greatly participated to the installation of the reign of terror as it put France in a besieged state. It is the legacy of the roman empire that during war, the normal republican governance is suspended and an exceptional power is conceded (the dictature)
Back to the egyptian events, just as the French revolution did not happen in France fish bowl, their movement is not happenning in the egyptian fish bowl. Considering what happened, it is clear that as long as foreign forces are not be satisfied with the outcome of the egyptian domestic affairs, they will keep meedling into it to favour their interests. This constant meddling is in many cases a cause of radicalization and has the effect of lengthening the change process, as exhaustion happens slowlier considered the efficiency of the foreign support.
You sir, are a fucking moron.
Is Jesus Quintana the bowler from the Lebowski movie?
Are you Jaba the Hut from the star wars movie?
Nope, I'm the pimp from Taxi Driver.
Youre a slave to the same system as the lowest Egyptian serf. Your fear and hate of others has been used to fool you into accepting ever-greater intrusions on your rights and the consolidation of power for the globalist corporations and super rich.
You've ALWAYS given away your freedoms without a fight. You don't even know how to fight, only to obey.
Ahahah, classic internet tough guy. You don't even know me.
You're projecting.
I'm not the one calling myself "Bigger Dickus".
And your comment merely illustrates the fact that you really don't know how to fight, and don't understand metaphors.
Your "freedom" is bullshit. The bankers and corporate oligarchs rape you like most every other human being on the planet. Just because you are relatively more comfortable than most doesn't mean you're better at protecting your "freedom". Your personal ownership of a firearm is useless in the fight against the real powers that oppress you and me.
That's deep. Sure, you know that there's something or someone behind the scenes controlling the puppets, but we aren't sure who it really is:
Zionists?
33 degree masons?
The commies?
Big oil?
Maybe it's a mix of all of them, maybe it's some group we've never heard about. My guess is on the latter.
You're a slave to Capital.
It owns you.
Bizatch.
haha... No, they want to serve a different master and they'll get it.
They don't know what they want, and somewhere out there, someone is drawing up a plan to take advantage of exactly that.
Populist rhetoric, unrealistic promises, false premises. I might as well be talking about the US.
Least they're in the streets. Our sheeple are too scared/stupid to know the cause of their pain.
The proles cannot awaken until they revolt. They cannot revolt until they awaken.
Take a ride on the NYC subway and let me know how badly you want that lot out on the streets protesting. They won't know who to blame. They will loot and burn. They will cause destruction with no purpose other than causing destruction. Imagine the L.A. riots on a massive scale. That is pretty scary.
I'm with you on that one. Was living in Orange County in '92 when TSHTF... no, the sheeple are better left asleep.
Was more defending the Egyptians who are clearly not brain-dead as our couch potatos are...
Give me anyone in a subway over a goofy, lame Whiteboy banker-gangster, any day. At least the human being underground has a skill or two, and some common sense in their heads.
Yet the banker-gangsters run the world.
Poorly, if I do say so myself.
Sadly, there's no difference between the two.
This is the fear of the other that keeps us down.
Americans are a bunch of hateful cowards, afraid of every hitchhiker, every different-looking person, etc.
It doesn't take long to see whose boot is on your throat ... especially when it's a real boot.
Just ask Black people. They know. So do the Cherokee. Haitians know, too.
You'll be surprised at how quickly it could all come together, my man.
Except for the REVOLUTION part.
Perhaps it's you that doesn't know what they want.
That's right. That's the reason why they don't deserve our respect. Screw them
Actually I'm sorry for them. Like EscapeKey said above, they just don't know what they want. It is sad that one of the oldest civilizations ended up like this, dumbed down slaves (but not trafficked, not yet anyway). They should look at themselves and think hard what they want.
Have you been watching? They want Mubarak out. Yes, they are niave – they think there will be a vacuum formed by his departure that they can fill (see reference to ‘niave’), but they want regime change. So simple that really smart people like you can’t see it..
I posted a few days ago that negatives don't work as a plan as it defines a transition and not a state. They want a transition, so they will (maybe) operate the transition but have no idea what will be the new state, the new master. I hope they are lucky in the end, but their options aren't good. The fact that the media refuses to comment on possible/likely negative outcomes speaks volume. I know, "negative" depends on which side side you are on... it gets even louder.
--
Tomorrow will be a busy day, so I'm out now.
Night. Good chatting with you.
That's sort of my point, though not explained very well, admittedly.
Getting Mubarek out is not an end. It's a means. But they confuse ends with means.
Mubarek might very well be replaced by someone substantially worse. But they haven't thought as far.
Agreed – lots of idyllic pomp, but any chance of a non-pro-American regime taking the current ones place is slim and none.
I applaud the effort though as I think it’s the lit fuse on a global powder keg that is far too long un-lit.
Will the west not try to keep a lid on Egypt? Of course it will. But can it maintain the order in Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Jordon, etc… all at the same time? Me thinks not.
They want a REVOLUTION.
You're the one who needs a mirror.
Um, are you kidding?
They are participating in a revolution right now. They are much closer to George Washington than you are.
I sing and dance in my living room every friday night but my family doesn't see it as a revolution.
You are a moron.
Get real, you brainwashed watermelon.
So! Tell us about some of the armed revolutions you've been taking part in, please.
He stormed his refrigerator two hours ago and secured the leftover tuna casserole.
lol
Needs to change his name to Little Tiny Dickus or WannabeBigDickus. Listen, you shit-for-brains suburban pussy: you don't have a fucking clue what life is like for those people you acuse of "letting it happen". Try workin' yer ass off every day just to see if the family eats tonight, let alone securing the grub, and then do some politics in your spare time. Either get yer sorry white-bread ass over to Cairo or STFU
I'm not going to Cairo anytime soon. It was bad enough before tshtf.
psychosis verified. ignores claims, throws out a snappy "come-back", moves on to next opportunity
Get real, this isn't a Stepford Wives meeting, Sigmund.
blow me, ya little weasel
dude, I'm not like that.
Your manfriend is out of town? Don't you people have specialized bars and bath houses?
nobody gives a sh!t about your living room.
seems you clearly have a manhood issue...if all the protesting you do is inside your cozy dwelling. get a life, cause nobody is going to save yours when your windows are smashed by the new paupers.
When my windows are smashed in by the paupers I will greet them with my Verney shotgun.
When your windows are smashed in, you call the government and ask for a bailout.
good idea
I would price out some plexi-glass on Amazon. Screw the Brute Squad.
thanks. I'm actually gonna do that.
But you're just a lame, self-important White guy.
Not someone in the middle of a REVOLUTION.
I'm sure they will be closer to George Washington when tptb get bored of the singing and dancing and send the tanks in to turn them into tree-hugger soup.
You are definitely the toughest guy sitting in a lazy boy that I've ever seen! I bet you killed a ton of dudes in Call of Duty today!
I'll take that as a compliment.
Let me guess. You are long ATVI ?
No thanks. I see where this thing is going. Look @ the brent /wti yields. Watch the usd become a real safe haven. Gotta love a reserve currency. Unless you wear neoprene boxers for your gold ingots. HaHa.
This is not a revolution. In a revolution the plundered parties actively fight the state. Dancing, praying and singing around a fire does not amount to armed struggle.
That said, I have no respect for these people. That will only change when they:
1) arm themselves
2)storm the castle
3)embrace libertarian Lysander Spooner-style capitalism
Until then, they are sheep and deserve to be sheared like sheep.
That's not always the case. The Velvet Revolution did lead to the downfall of communism in (no longer existing) Czechoslovakia, but I know what you say. Usually the successful are the ones willing to commit to ruthlessness.
Have you been to the former Czechoslovakia lately? Jesus Christ, every big city in that part of Europe has been lifted straight out of Half-Life 2.
Moreover, corruption is nigh-on as prevalent as in communist times.
I dated a Czech girl for 4 years (2004-2008), and lived for 6 months in Prague, and what you just said is total bullshit. I have never seen a more rapid transition from an old torn down dilapidated environment to cutting edge modern society (for better and worse).
Even old time communists (my ex-gf's granddad was one) acknowledges the situation is improving in comparison to communist Czechoslovakia.
Prague? lol
Every single person there is out to rob foreigners.
I'm sure it's better than in the old all-out communist times but it's impossible for a small firm to do business there.
*beep* wrong, again, Hans. I worked for a start-up (of which there are many) down there, which aren't burdened by tons of government regulation or suffocating taxation. Furthermore, my ex was Moravian, and it was absolutely insane to see the almost monthly improvements in some of the more easternly towns. In terms of taking care of yourself; sure, there are muggers. But tell me with a straight face there are none in London/New York?
You might want to generalize on basis of your experiences in Zizkov, but most of those whores/muggers are Roma.
I think you need to quit answering this guy. I thought his posts were stupid at the beginning of the thread. Then he started the rant on the Czeck Republic. I am in agreement with you. Prague is a great place to visit. The city is incredible and seems as vibrant as any city I've been to. I love Prague and saw small business all over the city. This is just nonsense.
You're only half right.
Plenty of "companies" (if you can call them that) in the retail and leisure sector? Yeah, sure.
Small business in machining/manufacturing/specialized activities? Not so much.
More moronic drivel.
I worked in the software industry, and we were essentially down the pub every Friday with at least another 10 upstarts in the same sector.
Wages are low, populace is highly educated, women are fucking unbelievably good looking, and Prague draws a lot of internationals.
You honestly want to stop parading about your ignorance on Prague.
I fucking hate Prague.
Ever been to Dresden? It's the only real city in eastern Europe. The civilized world really stops at Glashutte. Evrything to the right is Half-Life 2 land.
I can see why you hated Prague. All of the good food, cheap beer and great sites to see. It sure was terrible. The mallards by the waterside and the peacocks in the park sure were annoying. What a rotten place.
The beer there is awful. Good beer requires good water and their water is no good.
Hahahaha, that's by far the stupidest argument you've made thus far.
Czech beer is fucking awesome. Urquell/Gambrinus/Staropramen/... far better than the bland shit we serve in the UK/US.
I don't drink UK/US beer.
I also enjoyed Krusovice but I think they may be made in Poland.
You're British, right?
+1 to WestVillage
Go to Jamaica Man!
Why on earth would you ever want to meet you girlfriend's granddad?
You know, when you spend 4 years with a woman, you get to meet her family.
You should try it sometime.
Ok. So this person was a "woman", not a "girl". Which means that she was over 35 and you thought that she was the one. Last time I talked to an eastern European girl she called campus security and a "sexual harassment" report was filed.
"Quid pro quo Clarice" indeed. lol
You know, it'll all make sense on the day you lose your virginity. I don't think anyone else had issues interpreting my post.
You must be a clueless yankee.
*beep* Wrong again, Hans. British, though born in a Scandinavian country.
"Hans?"
I'm south African and I'm not a boer.
You might want to catch up on movies made before 1990.
Do you mean WW2 movies? You lost me here mate.
Die Hard.
+1
Right back at you.
Die Hard is the name of the movie being referenced, that is being suggested you watch, not a statement being directed towards you.
Ever heard of wit?
"Last time I talked to an eastern European girl she called campus security and a "sexual harassment" report was filed."
Hiding in the bushes with a nylon over your head will have a tendency to lead to that reaction.
Nope, it was just a honest question and a hand on the thigh. I don't like beating around the bush. Well, I do like beating around the bush if it is trimmed now that I think about it.
I'd say its highly probable you spend all your time picking bag hairs from your teeth.
+14 trilliion for "bag hairs"
So you essentially approached a woman by grabbing her thigh?????
Yes, there are a couple of intermediate steps which we would all like to skip, but women don't appreciate it when we do.
That's what you do when you:
1) have a huge Rolex collection
2) are 21
3) have been bestowed with unshakable confidence by God
With my current girlfriend I was able to skip all the interim steps. She wil not bear my children though.
If you use a "huge rolex collection" in order to pick up, then most likely, the women you will pick up are whores.
Most girls I know are so dumb they can't tell a Rolex from a Timex, so your comment makes no sense.
Then why did you specifically point out it was a Rolex collection?
When you have such a nice collection, no girl is more important than what is on your wrist. It helps you put things in perspective. If you can't take the bluntness...
"Most girls I know are so dumb. . ."
No surprise there.
"Most girls I know are so dumb . . . "
Think about that.
"With my current girlfriend I was able to skip all the interim steps. She wil not bear my children though."
Paying a girl to fuck doesn't really count.
I don't pay her. Well, not in fiat.
Dude, we all end up paying one way or another.
SHUT. THE. FUCK. UP.
Long CSCO much?
He's some sort of jewish agent. He gets paid by the word so we should just let him babble.
THANK YOU, Spastica. I was simply going to ask if anybody noticed the LittleDickus' total domination of the thread....was gonna count his (her?) posts, but gave up. I guess the dude is high....
his
He's having some sanity issues right now.
From now 2-11-2011 until 10-28-2011 is a 260 day period of chaotic change. This period will be chaotic because the vast majority (98%) do not have a clue as to why this is happening and that being the case this time we enter will tend to generate "negative" manifestations. The crazier people become the more chaotic the events will become. This period is NOT being caused by the normal drivers of human events ... the movement of planets around the sun.. the cycles that people are used to as "normal" come from that.. What we have at hand now can be considered a galactic (fractal sacred math) influence and is NOT connected directly to astronomical alignment.
You're going to see a lot of crazy over most of this year. Better get used to it. People will be shaken awake or die crazy. Either way illusion is getting wiped the fuck out.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6hL6fkJ1_k
Sanity issues? Don't think so.
A feeling of impending doom? You bet.
So you feel it too. The same thing I feel. That you are going to die a virgin.
Nope, the feeling that end of civilized society is nigh and I can't get enough pussy.
Truley civilized society is just beginning. I don't think you are going to have much part in it. You'll be going insane trying to control what can't be controlled.
"Truly civilized society is just beginning"
I need some of whatever you're smoking.
Just forget about what I'm smoking Johnny and go tighten your apple stops. Tighten 'em hard.
Sorry. I don't own Apple or any other stock for that matter. I think I bought some Apple calls in October 2006 though and made some money on that.
This thread isn't lomg enough yet......................................................................................................
what?
If you are going to reference "fractal sacred math," please think back to high school and show your work. Thanks.
Sure thing. The entire history of the world in 260 days.
You think mooby hasn't been thrown out of a country before?
Everything is just going to keep happening and happening until people remember that one simple little lesson. Don't be menace to society. They put up with it for a while but it NEVER LASTS.
Lois Griffin: "are you sure you don't want to come to New York with us Brian?"
Brian: "No thanks I've been there. It's like Prague sans the whimsy."
That's pretty funny. I don't really get it but it's pretty funny.
Tomorrow is D-day. What we saw tonight with Mubarak’s speech was a sham. Nothing has changed; this will lead to further chaos:
http://www.hedgefundlive.com/blog/friday-market-expectations-i-still-havent-found-what-i-am-looking-for
Anyone watching the BBC feed ? They're reading newspapers on air ....... odd , to say the least .
I imagine the rest of their budget went straight into the coffers of the Labour party.
I doubt it went to the dental plan.
Last year when I was in Prague, strangely enough, they were doing the prime minister debates. Watching that bullshit almost made me feel good about American politicians.
I used to watch "Question Time" on BBC.
Then, little after little, I realized they usually had a Labour hard hitter paired with a demure Tory. And the location would be a hardcore Labour area. The audience full of die hard Labour supporters. Special guest a closet Labour supporter. The questions all aimed at the Tories. Dimbleby would cut off Labour questions quickly, and let Tory ones go on forever.
BBC News ought to be cut from the license fee. If Labourites want their own news channel, why should I have to pay for it?
That sounds like Bill Maher's completely unbiased show.
Previewing tomorrow's headlines? They do that every night. Saves us from having to give money to cunts like Murdoch.
If gold does not follow through on tonight's move it's time to short the miners. ON MARGIN.
Can't short without margin.
hmmm yes you can
Fail.
not really
