It strikes me as bizarre that people will suck in whatever fantasy someone on the internet wishes to propagate, then accuse everyone else of being a "sheeple" for believing something the MSM or government says. Apparently so long as a theory is 180 degrees opposed to any official story, it MUST be true. My view is sheeple come in many flavors, and someone worshipping at the altar of Webster Tarpley or Alex Jones is just as fanatical and naive as one who takes every utterance from Fox or MSNBC as gospel.
I have a personal bugaboo about people who toss out things like "al-CIAda" and "Tim Osman", and who fancy themselves uber-sophistes, yet who have never journeyed into the areas where al Qaeda or JI or LeT of Abu Sayyaf operate. Ignorance is a free choice, but one should not be proud of it. I can write of my own journeys, or the couple of friends I lost in horrible circumstances to these groups, but that would just make me another anonymous internet guy talking a book no one else can read. When the dander gets up, however, I cannot help but respond, and politeness, patience and understanding quickly leave me.

I’m having trouble following your argument, which seems to be something to the effect that since many rich people held a stake in one investment firm, then Osama bin Laden=Tim Osman and the WTC was an inside job.
I knew several brothers in the bin Laden family, which is to say a minor percentage of the entire family (Mohammed bin Laden was a practicing Moslem in every sense of the term). They were highly educated and quite reasonable people. Osama, whom I never met, was also highly educated and certainly intelligent enough to plan something as simple as 911. His deputy Ayman al Zawahri is also highly intelligent and well educated. And hard to believe as it might be, people in Afghanistan and Waziristan had cellphones even way back in 2001. In fact, the reception might have been better than in downtown Manhattan (much of the developing world leapfrogged the US fixed-line network). You might also do a search and find images of some of the "caves" they lived in. Conference rooms, full kitchens, nice sleeping quarters. Calling them a bunch of cave dwellers is underestimating both their accomodations and intelligence, and dare I say also has a stink of racism toward Arabs.

What a let down when he told me it was that Osama bin Whoagain? had been killed. It felt like getting dumped by my first girlfriend all over again.
