Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff: White House Cabinet Member Suggested Killing an American Service Man to Justify War
On Monday, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Hugh Shelton told told Jon Stewart that a Clinton cabinet member proposed letting Saddam kill an American pilot as a pretext for war in Iraq:

This might seem, at first glance, like just an odd, one-off suggestion.
However, as reported by the New York Times and other newspapers, George W. Bush also suggested to Tony Blair that a U.S. plane be painted in United Nations colors so that - if Saddam shot it down - it would create a casus belli. As the Times wrote in 2006:
The memo [confirmed by two senior British officials as being authentic] also shows that the president and the prime minister acknowledged that no unconventional weapons had been found inside Iraq. Faced with the possibility of not finding any before the planned invasion, Mr. Bush talked about several ways to provoke a confrontation, including a proposal to paint a United States surveillance plane in the colors of the United Nations in hopes of drawing fire ....
And it's not just the current war in Iraq. As I've previously pointed out, war is always sold to it's people by artificially demonizing the enemy:
Countries need to lie about their enemies in order to demonize them sufficiently so that the people will support the war.
That is why intelligence "failures" - such as the following - are so common:
- The U.S. Navy's own historians now say that the sinking of the USS Maine -- the justification for America's entry into the Spanish-American War -- was probably caused by an internal explosion of coal, rather than an attack by the Spanish.
- It is also now well-accepted that the Gulf of Tonkin Incident which led to the Vietnam war was a fiction (confirmed here).
- And two lies were used to justify the 1991 Gulf War: the statement that Iraqis murdered Kuwaiti babies and the statement that a quarter of a million Iraqi troops were massed on the border with Saudi Arabia (see also this article)(technically, the statement about Kuwaiti babies did not come from the U.S. government, but from a public relations firm hired by the government).
And governments from around the world have admitted that - for many years - they have used false flag incidents to sell their people on the wars they wish to launch.
For example:
- A major with the Nazi SS admitted at the Nuremberg trials that - under orders from the chief of the Gestapo - he and some other Nazi operatives faked attacks on their own people and resources which they blamed on the Poles, to justify the invasion of Poland. Nazi general Franz Halder also testified at the Nuremberg trials that Nazi leader Hermann Goering admitted to setting fire to the German parliament building, and then falsely blaming the communists for the arson
- The CIA admits that it hired Iranians in the 1950's to pose as Communists and stage bombings in Iran in order to turn the country against its democratically-elected prime minister
- Israel admits that an Israeli terrorist cell operating in Egypt planted bombs in several buildings, including U.S. diplomatic facilities, then left behind "evidence" implicating the Arabs as the culprits (one of the bombs detonated prematurely, allowing the Egyptians to identify the bombers, and several of the Israelis later confessed) (and see this and this)
- The former Italian Prime Minister, an Italian judge, and the former head of Italian counterintelligence admit that NATO, with the help of the Pentagon and CIA, carried out terror bombings in Italy and other European countries in the 1950s and blamed the communists, in order to rally people’s support for their governments in Europe in their fight against communism. As one participant in this formerly-secret program stated: "You had to attack civilians, people, women, children, innocent people, unknown people far removed from any political game. The reason was quite simple. They were supposed to force these people, the Italian public, to turn to the state to ask for greater security" (and see this)(Italy and other European countries subject to the terror campaign had joined NATO before the bombings occurred)
- As admitted by the U.S. government, recently declassified documents show that in the 1960's, the American Joint Chiefs of Staff signed off on a plan to blow up AMERICAN airplanes (using an elaborate plan involving the switching of airplanes), and also to commit terrorist acts on American soil, and then to blame it on the Cubans in order to justify an invasion of Cuba. See the following ABC news report; the official documents; and watch this interview with the former Washington Investigative Producer for ABC's World News Tonight with Peter Jennings. Official State Department documents show that - only nine months before - the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and other high-level officials discussed blowing up a consulate in the Dominican Republic in order to justify an invasion of that country. (While the Joint Chiefs of Staff pushed as a serious proposal for Operation Northwoods to be carried out, cooler heads fortunately prevailed; President Kennedy or his Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara apparently vetoed the plan)
- The South African Truth and Reconciliation Council found that, in 1989, the Civil Cooperation Bureau (a covert branch of the South African Defense Force) approached an explosives expert and asked him "to participate in an operation aimed at discrediting the ANC [the African National Congress] by bombing the police vehicle of the investigating officer into the murder incident", thus framing the ANC for the bombing
- An Algerian diplomat and several officers in the Algerian army admit that, in the 1990s, the Algerian army frequently massacred Algerian civilians and then blamed Islamic militants for the killings (and see this video; and Agence France-Presse, 9/27/2002, French Court Dismisses Algerian Defamation Suit Against Author)
- According to the Washington Post, Indonesian police admit that the Indonesian military killed American teachers in Papua in 2002 and blamed the murders on a Papuan separatist group in order to get that group listed as a terrorist organization.
- The well-respected former Indonesian president also admits that the government probably had a role in the Bali bombings
- As reported by BBC, the New York Times, and Associated Press, Macedonian officials admit that the government murdered 7 innocent immigrants in cold blood and pretended that they were Al Qaeda soldiers attempting to assassinate Macedonian police, in order to join the "war on terror".
- Former Department of Justice lawyer John Yoo suggested in 2005 that the US should go on the offensive against al-Qaeda, having “our intelligence agencies create a false terrorist organization. It could have its own websites, recruitment centers, training camps, and fundraising operations. It could launch fake terrorist operations and claim credit for real terrorist strikes, helping to sow confusion within al-Qaeda’s ranks, causing operatives to doubt others’ identities and to question the validity of communications.”
- United Press International reported in June 2005:
U.S. intelligence officers are reporting that some of the insurgents in Iraq are using recent-model Beretta 92 pistols, but the pistols seem to have had their serial numbers erased. The numbers do not appear to have been physically removed; the pistols seem to have come off a production line without any serial numbers. Analysts suggest the lack of serial numbers indicates that the weapons were intended for intelligence operations or terrorist cells with substantial government backing. Analysts speculate that these guns are probably from either Mossad or the CIA. Analysts speculate that agent provocateurs may be using the untraceable weapons even as U.S. authorities use insurgent attacks against civilians as evidence of the illegitimacy of the resistance.
- Quebec police admitted that, in 2007, thugs carrying rocks to a peaceful protest were actually undercover Quebec police officers
- At the G20 protests in London in 2009, a British member of parliament saw plain clothes police officers attempting to incite the crowd to violence

In this thread alone, HL Shancken has proven to be far more of a contributor than the propagandist parrot, “George Washington”, has ever amounted to. Kudos and thanks, HL. The Alexander Litvinenko (and former Russian parliament member Konstantin Borovoy, GRU defector Viktor Suvorov, GRU Col. Stanislav Lunev and many more) revelations have received little if any media attention in the U.S. It simply does not fit into their pre-conceived, liberal-left, closed-minded template.

You (HL) are quite right about this contributor -- it would not be at all surprising to learn that he/she/it is an operative of the GRU/FSB. Notice how quickly he and his handful of fellow travelers adamantly embrace absolutely anything of an anti-U.S. nature, while just as quickly dismissing any revelations regarding genuine evil from America’s enemies abroad. (The hypocrisy is breathtaking, as is the irony of having “Truthers” routinely demonstrate such an utter disregard for the truth.) If they are not FSB operatives, they might as well be. (It seems inconceivable that anyone could actually be as galactically stupid as Comrade Washington makes himself out to be.) Two other points:
1) No amount of contortions and extrapolations can morph musings about painting an airplane into a “false flag attack“.
2) Shelton should name names. (Had it been during the Bush administration, no doubt Stewart would have insisted on it.) If Shelton doesn’t name names, he is covering up for someone; and he is part of the problem, not the solution.
You and your pal HL are both fighting a war we won where we proved that Capitalism beat Central Planning. The two of you should be rejoicing in that, instead you are positing that the Communists are BETTER because they are winning (and apparently responsible for all evil of the past 70 years).

The First Time I Heard of Barack

During the period of roughly February 1992 to mid 1994, I was making frequent trips to Moscow, Russia, in the process of starting a software development joint-venture company with some people from the Russian scientific community. One of the men in charge on the Russian side was named V. M.; he had a wife named T.M.
V. was a level-headed scientist while his wife was rather deeply committed to the losing Communist cause – a cause she obviously was not abandoning.
One evening, during a trip early in 1992, the American half of our venture were invited to V. & T.’s Moscow flat as we were about to return to the States. The party went well and we had the normal dinner discussions.
As the evening wore on, T. developed a decidedly rough anti-American edge – one her husband tried to quietly rein in.
The bottom line of the tirade she started against the United States went something like this:
“You Americans always like to think that you have the perfect government and your people are always so perfect. Well then, why haven’t you had a woman president by now? You had a chance to vote for a woman vice-president and you didn’t do it.”
The general response went something along the lines that you don’t vote for someone just because of their sex. Besides, you don’t vote for vice-president, but the president and vice-president as a ticket.
“Well, I think you are going to be surprised when you get a black president very soon.”
The consensus we expressed was that we didn’t think there was anything innately barring that. The right person at the right time and sure, America would try to vote for the right person, be he or she black or not.
“What if I told you that you will have a black president very soon and he will be a Communist?”
The out-of-the-blue remark was met by our stares. She continued, “Well, you will; and he will be a Communist.”
It was then that the husband unsuccessfully tried to change the subject; but she was on a roll and would have nothing of it. One of us asked, “It sounds like you know something we don’t know.”
“Yes, it is true. This is not some idle talk. He is already born and he is educated and being groomed to be president right now. You will be impressed to know that he has gone to the best schools of Presidents. He is what you call “Ivy League”. You don’t believe me, but he is real and I even know his name. His name is Barack. His mother is white and American and his father is black from Africa. That’s right, a chocolate baby! And he’s going to be your President.”
She became more and more smug as she presented her stream of detailed knowledge and predictions so matter-of-factly – as though all were foregone conclusions. “It’s all been thought out. His father is not an American black so he won’t have that social slave stigma. He is intelligent and he is half white and has been raised from the cradle to be an atheist and a Communist. He’s gone to the finest schools. He is being guided every step of the way and he will be irresistible to America.”
We sat there not knowing what to say. She was obviously very happy that the Communists were doing this and that it would somehow be a thumbing of their collective noses at America: they would give us a black president and he’d be a Communist to boot. She made it quite obvious that she thought that this was going to breathe new life into world Communism. From this and other conversations with her, she always asserted that Communism was far from dead.
She was full of little details about him that she was eager to relate. I thought that maybe she was trying to show off that this truly was a real person and not just hot air.
She rattled off a complete litany. He was from Hawaii. He went to school in California. He lived in Chicago. He was soon to be elected to the legislature. “Have no doubt: he is one of us, a Soviet.”
At one point, she related some sort of San Francisco connection, but I didn’t understand what the point was and don’t recall much about that. I was just left with the notion that she considered the city to be some sort of a center for their activity here.
Since I had dabbled in languages, I knew a smattering of Arabic. I made a comment: “If I remember correctly, ‘Barack’ comes from the Arabic word for ‘Blessing.’ That seems to be an odd name for an American.” She replied quickly, “Yes. It is ‘African’”, she insisted, “and he will be a blessing for world Communism. We will regain our strength and become the number one power in the world.”
She continued with something to the effect that America was at the same time the great hope and the great obstacle for Communism. America would have to be converted to Communism and Barack was going to pave the way.
So, what does this conversation from 1992 prove?
Well, it’s definitely anecdotal. It doesn’t prove that Obama has had Soviet Communist training nor that he was groomed to be the first black American president, but it does show one thing that I think is very important. It shows that Soviet Russian Communists knew of Barack from a very early date. It also shows that they truly believed among themselves that he was raised and groomed Communist to pave the way for their future. This report on Barack came personally to me from one of them long before America knew he existed.
Although I had never before heard of him, at the time of this conversation Obama was 30+ years old and was obviously tested enough that he was their anticipated rising star.

Then there is the Bill Clinton Czech Communist Connection from article by Joel A. Ruth from April 30, 1999[13].

Thus, it is easy to believe that this tab and the arrangements could only have handled by the KGB, which during that epoch limited no expenses in its attempts to recruit promising American students in Europe.
Clinton has also never accounted for the 11 days spent in Moscow before the actual meeting of the War Moratorium and has never revealed who paid his expenses or what he did or whom he met with during that time. However, for a tourist visiting Red Square in Moscow, a trip to Lenin’s Tomb is usually on the itinerary. For a visiting leftist, such a visit is as requisite as a Moslem’s visit to the Kabah while in Mecca. Standing before the mummy of the High Priest of Communism and Atheism on Christmas Day, for a communist, had long represented a symbolic, ritual act of contempt and abnegation of all the religious, spiritual, and ethical values which most Americans cherish.
Even more telling was Clinton’s January 4 return trip from Moscow on another Aeroflot jet. The flight terminated in Prague, then the capital of the Czechoslovakian Soviet Socialist Republic (CSSR)[14]. There, Clinton was a guest of Jan Kopold’s father, Bedrich Kopold and Jan’s maternal grandmother Maria Svermova, who was the original founder of the Czech Communist Party in the 1930s. During his visit, she took a liking to young Bill; they walked and talked. Svermova’s deceased husband was the original editor of Rude Pravo, the Czech Communist Party paper before the War.
After the Soviet-backed Communist coup of Czechoslovakia in February 1948 had disposed of Democratic President Jan Masaryk by tossing him out a window of the Foreign Ministry, Rudolf Saltzman, a.k.a. Slansky, became the new president. Karel Svab, Maria’s brother, was appointed Commissar of Secret Police and was responsible for the subsequent murders, tortures, and deportations to Russian gulags of several hundred thousand Christians, democracy advocates, anti-Communists, and even religious Jews who had survived the Holocaust. Under the Saltzman/Slansky regime (1949-1952), Maria Svermova was Secretary of the Communist Party and the Central Committee, the supreme ruling body. While the majority of Jews in pre-war Czechoslovakia were anti-Communist, the Party itself was dominated by a clique of apostate Jews who had long since abandoned the principles of their religion to embrace the False God of Marxism.
The entire Kopold clan was a significant part of the ruling Communist party elite and was responsible for those murders and deportations either by the act or as formulators of policy. In fact, 11 out of 12 Politburo leaders of the Czech Communist Party were apostate Jews who had taken refuge in Moscow just prior to the German occupation of the Czech rump state in 1939. It was easy for the Communists to seize control in 1948 without popular resistance because the Germans had confiscated all private weapons during the War.
In 1948, Saltzman/Slansky smuggled guns and explosives to Palestine to arm the Zionist organizations, the Haganah, the Stern Gang, and the Irgun to enable them to keep killing British officials until Britain became fed up and pulled out. In 1949 these gangs organized the ethnic cleansing of over one million Palestinian Arabs from their lands which were then confiscated and made an integral part of the nascent State of Israel. President Saltzman/Slansky in turn paid with his life for assisting the Zionists. Accused of harboring Jewish nationalist sentiments, which were in opposition to Marxist internationalism, Stalin sent him to the gallows in 1952.
Years later, when Clinton was President, he again flew to Moscow, this time on Air Force One, to meet Boris Yeltsin. Then, on his return flight he had the plane stop in Prague, where, besides playing the saxophone — important stuff — he went to visit the parents of his Oxford friend Jan Kopold. By then, Maria Svermova had died of old age. As for Jan Kopold, he had been killed earlier in an “accidental fall” in Turkey in 1970, becoming perhaps the first of a long string of former Clinton friends and associates to meet an untimely end. Interestingly, Clinton told the news media people accompanying him on the Prague pit stop that the Kopolds were “old friends he had long admired.” Nothing appeared in the press, however, about Clinton’s admiration for and association with this family once such an intimate part of the ruling echelon of the murderous criminal Soviet puppet government that had enslaved Czechoslovakia.

In 1969 the Kopolds ostensibly held dissident political views against the ruling regime, which had grown unpopular among reformers and student activists after the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia the previous year.

Hoover produced a report which demonstrated a correlation between the Soviet party line and the public statements of Fulbright and Senator Wayne Morse, but without authorization for wiretaps he was unable to confirm any direct contact with Communists or foreign agents. Ordered to seek confirmation, Hoover spent the next weeks producing a 67-page review of FBI wiretap records of contacts between Soviet bloc embassies and US Senators, Representatives, and Congressional staff, covering the period from July 1965 to March 1966. Hoover continued submitting biweekly follow-up reports to Johnson through January 1968. Johnson tasked other intelligence agencies to conduct similar inquiries. In 1968 Johnson boasted that he knew within minutes what Fulbright was saying over lunch at the Soviet embassy. Secretary of State Dean Rusk conveyed this fact to Marcy, telling him, “We know every time that you or people on your staff meet with people in the Soviet bloc.”
While US intelligence was investigating Fulbright and his staff, Georgetown junior Bill Clinton joined Fulbright’s staff in summer 1966. Clinton had looked to Fulbright as a role model since high school, when he first learned that Fulbright had attended England’s Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar, a career path Clinton would follow as a graduate student. He got the job with Fulbright through Jack Holt, a local politician who was supported by Clinton’s uncle Raymond. After Uncle Raymond got him on Holt’s campaign, Clinton approached Holt and expressed his interest in working for Fulbright. Holt recommended him to Fulbright’s administrative assistant Lee Williams. Williams offered Clinton a job as an assistant clerk on the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations.
Clinton continued working for Fulbright into his senior year. According to his autobiography My Life, he worked in the document room of the committee’s offices on the fourth floor of what was then called the New Senate Office Building (later renamed the Dirksen Senate Office Building), while Carl Marcy and a few committee senior staff worked in a larger room at the Capitol Building. Clinton’s primary duty was “taking memos and other materials back and forth between the Capitol and Senator Fulbright’s office, including confidential material for which I would have to receive proper government clearance. Beyond that, I would do whatever was required, from reading newspapers and clipping important articles for the staff and interested senators to answering requests for speeches and other materials, to adding names to the committee’s mailing list.” He often read “material stamped ‘confidential’ and ‘secret’ that I had to deliver from time to time”.
According to Clinton, he adopted an antiwar position while working under Fulbright. A few months after he began working for Fulbright, he had the Senator autograph a copy of his book The Arrogance of Power, which criticized US foreign policy on Vietnam and other topics. Clinton says his antiwar orientation was also influenced by members of Fulbright’s staff who encouraged him to study the issue of draft deferment.

Fulbright’s views on Vietnam had in turn been influenced by scholar Bernard Fall. Fall had an academic background at institutions linked to Chinese Communist apologist Owen Lattimore. Clinton remained relatively quiet about his war views during his first year as a grad student at Oxford from fall 1968 to spring 1969. He took an activist turn in summer 1969 while seeking to avoid being drafted. During summer vacation, he worked with the Vietnam Moratorium Committee (VMC), a US antiwar group which was helping a Communist-dominated coalition called the New Mobe to organize fall protests.
Upon Clinton’s return to Oxford that fall, he and his friend Richard Stearns helped a British VMC counterpart called Group 68 organize Americans in England for Moratorium protest events. (A supplementary background profile of Group 68 follows the body of the article, exploring the group’s links to a British antiwar network centered around Bertrand Russell and Russell’s associate Tariq Ali. Russell’s network helped the North Vietnamese and Soviets disseminate anti-US propaganda through channels such as the International War Crimes Tribunal, sponsored by the Soviet front the Stockholm Conference on Vietnam.)
Over winter vacation of 1969-1970, Clinton toured Moscow, where he had been preceded by his roommate Strobe Talbott. Crime pays if the fix is in, and it was. Western governments knew, but wouldn't talk.
"The KGB is engineering international terrorism. The facts can be proven, documented, and are well known to the international Western intelligence community," said Dr. Hans Joseph Horchem of West Germany's antiterrorist office for the Defense of the Constitution, in the summer of 1979.1
"Who conducts the worldwide terrorist orchestra?" an Italian reporter asked William Colby, former head of the CIA that same summer.
"Nobody, directly, " he replied.
"And who provides the instruments?" the reporter inquired.
"For the Italians, Moscow and Prague," was his answer.2
Both men could speak with authority. Dr. Horchem in particular is considered one of the West's best informed intelligence analysts. But neither was speaking for his government. No Western government has gone so far as to indict the Soviet Union. Some have gone pretty far to avoid doing so.
Only a year before Colby made his flat statement connecting Italian terrorists to Moscow and Prague, the CIA had declared that Italy's Red Brigades had no foreign ties at all. That was its official reason for declining an Italian request to help in the fifty-five day hunt for Aldo Moro, when the Red Brigades held him prisoner. The head of the State Department's Office to Combat Terrorism wholly agreed with the CIA about that when I called him. The CIA refused to discuss it when I asked. Plainly, this was White House policy--all were simply following Presidential orders.
I was often baffled by responses like these in Washington and other Western capitals. The official flight from reality seemed unaccountable, especially in Bonn and Rome. Respectively the "strongest and weakest links in the Western democratic chain," to quote the Red Brigades, West Germany and Italy had plainly been singled out as front-line states by the terrorists and the Kremlin both. In neither of these countries did the evidence of Soviet complicity depend merely on connections two or three times removed. The KGB was involved directly, in tandem with the security services of Russia's East European satellites.
The KGB's role was not a matter of guesswork, but documented fact. Unusually useful evidence had turned up by chance in 1975, when Belgian police summoned to a routine car crash found incriminating documents in one of the cars. The papers revealed the existence of a KGB centrale in Vienna, working to "enliven" terrorist formations in Italy, Germany, Belgium, Holland, and France. A dozen European newspapers carried the story of the Russian in charge: a high-ranking KGB officer named Alexander Benyaminov, employed in Vienna by the U.N.'s International Atomic Energy Agency.3
East Germany's role in this program was no matter of speculation either. It had been running a full life-support system for the West German terrorist underground since 1970, when the Baader-Meinhof Gang's first safe-house was set up in East Berlin4. Apart from instant sanctuary, it furnished false documents, money, paramilitary training, protected entrance and exit routes, and a kind of safety-deposit system for for the Gang's stored weapons. Die Welt, quoting French security services, reported that when five West German women terrorists were arrested in Paris in July 1980 their decoded notes revealed that "the network has or used to have a large depot containing pistols, machine guns, and hand grenades from East Germany."
In addition, the Communist Party of East Germany had been donating a million Deutschmarks a year to the PLO headquarters there since 1972--the year of the Olympic Games massacre, where the PLO's Black September death squads were operating not just in Munich but all over Western Europe.5 The same Communist Party also had shelled out subsidies for years to Ulrike Meinhof and her husband, Klaus Rainer Rohl, for their radical review, Konkret.
Alexander Litvinenko was delivered a dose of radioactive polonium 210 by FSB officer Andrei Lugovoi on September 1, 2006. Litvinenko survived until September 23. Lugovoi was rewarded for the successful assassination with a seat in the Russian Duma, which places him out of reach of extradition.

The data on the quantity of the explosions are different. First it was informed on six or seven explosions, later the police declared, that there had been four explosions. Also for now the exact quantity of victims is not known: it is known only, that there are tens of the lost, and hundreds of the wounded.

FAKT: Hello, Alexander! As we know, you live in London . Tell us, please, what happened in London on Thursday and how can you comment it?
A. Litvinenko: What happened on "bloody Thursday" in London was, certainly, a terrorist attack, similar to those, which for the last four years on a regular basis take place in different parts of the world. I personally found out about it from mass-media. What I can say about it? Certainly, there is a great grief today in London , innocent people, completely casual were lost, and it is really terrible!
FAKT: What will be the consequences of these acts of terrorism, in your opinion? Whether it is necessary to expect prosecution of the British Moslems on the part of the authorities and toughening of the political regime in the country?
A. Litvinenko: As against Russia , where each act of terrorism is accompanied with general psychosis and hysteria, I have not seen anything of this kind in London . In London there was no panic (as the Russian mass-media asserted), all saving services worked precisely, anybody detained nobody in streets as "potential terrorists," only because they had swarthy skin and dark color of hair. British politicians did not call "to wet everybody, who is not with us in toilets" from screens of TVs. And I am sure, that there will be no prosecutions of Moslems after the event. And nobody in Britain will toughen or cancel principles of democracy.
FAKT: Alexander, who, in your opinion, is the originator of this terrorist attack?
A. Litvinenko: You know, I have spoken about it earlier and I shall say now, that I know only one organization, which has made terrorism the main tool of solving of political problems. It is the Russian special services. The KGB was engaged in terrorism for many years, and, in mass terrorism. At the special department of the KGB they trained terrorists practically from all countries of the world; these courses lasted, as a rule, for a half-year. Specially trained and prepared agents of the KGB organized murders and explosions, including explosions of tankers, captures of passenger airliners, strikes on the diplomatic, state and commercial organizations practically worldwide.
FAKT: Could you name though some of the terrorists prepared at the "special courses" of the KGB-FSB?
A. Litvinenko: The bloodiest terrorists of the world were or are agents of the KGB-FSB. These are and well-known Carlos Ilyich Ramiros, the nickname "Jackal" (he is condemned for terrorism in France), deceased Yassir Arafat, Saddam Hussein, Adjalan (he is condemned in Turkey), Vadi Haddad, the head
of the service of external operations of the Popular front of releasing of Palestine, Hauyi, the head of the communist party of Lebanon, mister Papaionnu from the Cyprus, Sean Garland from Ireland and many others. All of them were trained in the KGB, received money from there, weapons and explosives, counterfeit documents and a communication facility necessary for carrying out of acts of terrorism practically worldwide.
FAKT: You can objectively say, that each of the listed figures and the forces, supporting them, were engaged in solving of their own political problems?
A. Litvinenko: Certainly, all these figures and movements headed by them operated under their own slogans, however thus none of them hid especially their "intimate," shall we say, communications with the Kremlin and Lubyanka. There is a simple question: whether Russian special services would train and finance those people and those groupings, which were not supervised by Lubyanka and did not serve to the interests of the Kremlin? You understand perfectly, they would not. Each act of terrorism made by these people was carried out according to the task and under the rigid control of the KGB of the USSR . And it is not coincidental that after the disintegration of the USSR and disorder of the KGB terrorism in the world practically came to naught. But this calm lasted only till the time, until security officers seized power in Russia and then everything began anew. After Putin's assignment to the post of the head of the FSB, in this special service political investigation was revived and those, who in the days of the KGB had been engaged in terrorism, were are returned to the service.
FAKT: Everyone, whom you have named, is 'the old staff' of the KGB. Could you bring the example from recent history?
A. Litvinenko: Certainly, here it is. The second person in the terrorist organization "Al Qa'eda", about whom they speak as about the organizer of the series of explosions in London , Aiman al-Zavahiri, is an old agent of the FSB. Being sentenced to death penalty in Egypt for terrorism and searched for by Interpol, Aiman al-Zavahiri in 1998 was in the territory of Dagestan , where for half a year was trained a special preparation at one of the educational bases of the FSB. After the preparation he was transferred to Afghanistan , in which he had never been before and where, following the recommendation of his Lubyanka chiefs, he at once after his arrival penetrated into the surrounding of Ben Laden and soon became his assistant in "Al Qa'eda".
FAKT: Could you hint at least, where from do you have such data?
A. Litvinenko: I can. During my service in one of the most confidential departments of the FSB, those heads from the UFSB of Dagestan, who directly
had worked with Aiman al-Zavahiri, after his successful terrorist preparation and transferring to Afghanistan , were called to Moscow and received high posts.
FAKT: What can you say concerning the acts of terrorism in London ? From what region and with what forces was this impact directed?
A. Litvinenko: In reply to this question I can declare perfectly definitely, that the center of the global terrorism is not in Iraq , Iran , Afghanistan
or the Chechen Republic . The terrorism infection creeps away worldwide from the cabinets of the Lubyanka Square and the Kremlin. And until the Russian
special services are forbidden, dispersed and condemned, the terrorism will never stop: bombs will blow up, and blood will be shed. Terrorism has no
limitation period and those who were engaged in it should be found and punished, until they are all dead, instead of to award them with the Nobel Prize of the world and not have monuments built for them. I would like to repeat, that all the terrorists whom I have named were supported by the heads of the Soviet and Russian special services - Yury Andropov, Vladimir Putin, Nikolay Patrushev and others. These people are the main terrorists, and their place is not among the heads of the civilized countries, but on a dock. And until we condemn them, the same as in due time they condemned fascist Gestapo, the terrorism on the earth will not stop.
In the end of the conversation Alexander Litvinenko transferred FAKT some documents for publication, marked with a signature stamp "top secret" and 'of special importance'. The documents show the terrorist activity of the KGB of the USSR and are signed personally by Yury Andropov. At this A. Litvinenko added: "There is no doubt, that several years in the archives of Putin's special services we shall find out similar documents and we shall be convinced that in July, 2005 secret agents of the FSB blew up innocent inhabitants of London in the underground and buses. And they blew them up executing the order of the person who, then at the summit of the G-8, was standing to the right of his "friend" Tony Blair and talking profusely about 'double standards' in 'the struggle against world terrorism,' demanding him to mete out punishment to his political opponents, who had found a refuge in Great Britain."

The FSB fiasco in Ryazan
In September 1999 monstrous acts of terrorism were perpetrated in Buinaksk, Moscow and Volgodonsk, but we shall begin with the terrorist attack which could have been the most terrible of them all if it had not been foiled: in Ryazan FSB operatives were spotted planting sugar sacks containing hexogene in the dormitory district of Dashkovo-Pesochnya.
At 9.15 p.m. Alexei Kartofelnikov, a driver for the Spartak soccer club who lived in the single-entrance twelve-story block built more than 20 years earlier at number 14/16 Novosyolov (New Residents) Street, phoned the Dashkovo-Pesochnya office of the Oktyabrsky (October) Region Department of the Interior (ROVD) in Ryazan and reported that ten minutes earlier he had seen a white model five or seven Zhiguli automobile with the Moscow number plate T534 VT 77 RUS outside the entrance to his apartment block, where there was a twenty-four hour “Night and Day” shop on the ground floor. The car had driven into the yard and stopped. A man and a young woman got out, went down into the basement of the building and after a while came back. Then the car was driven right up against the basement door and all three of the people in it began carrying some kind of sacks inside. One of the men had a mustache and the woman was wearing a tracksuit. Then all of them got into the car and drove away.

Between nine and 10 in the evening on June 11 1996 there was an explosion in a half-empty carriage in a train at the Tulskaya station of the Serpukhovskaya line of the Moscow subway. Four people were killed and 12 were hospitalized. Exactly one month later, on July 11, a terrorist bomb exploded in a number 12 trolley in Pushkin Square: six people were injured. The following day, July 12, a number 48 trolley on Mir Prospect was destroyed by an explosion: 28 people were injured. Information about the “Chechen connection” of the terrorist attacks was actively disseminated throughout Moscow (even though no terrorists were caught and it was never actually determined whether they were Chechens or not). Before even a provisional investigation had been conducted the mayor of Moscow Yury Luzhkov declared at the site of the second trolley explosion that he would expel the entire Chechen diaspora from Moscow, even though he had no reason to suspect that the explosions were the work of the diaspora, or even of individual Chechen terrorists.

The elimination of Dudaev was probably the most successful operation carried out by Khokholkov and his group. Khokholkov himself was nominated for the order of “Hero of Russia” for successfully completing his mission, but he preferred the post of head of the newly founded UPP, with the rank of major-general.

The main principle on which the UPP operated was “problem-solving”: if there’s a problem, then a solution must be found. Clues to the existence of this operating principle can be found in Pavel Sukhoplatov’s memoirs published in Moscow in 1996, which happen to be the favorite reference text of the UPP’s leaders. The murder of the president of Chechnya Djokhar Dudaev provides a good example of the problem-solving approach to the achievement of a combat goal. The people who organized this killing were also involved in setting up the UPP.
In a certain sense Dudaev’s murder was a contract killing, but in the case the contract was put out by the leadership of the state. The oral, but nonetheless official, order to eliminate Dudaev was given by Russian president Yeltsin.

The special services run riot
It is worth noting the way in which the press office of the Russian government described the terrorist attack carried out on December 23: “Information has been received concerning the dispatch to Moscow [from Chechnya] of three experienced guerrilla fighters, including one woman, who have instructions to assume the leadership of groups of terrorists sent here previously. A group of foreigners who were seeking contact with guerrillas from Grozny has been detained and a number of radio-controlled explosive devices they were carrying have been confiscated, together with 20 kilograms of TNT and 16 radio-controlled anti-personnel and anti-tank mines. On the night of December 23 the rails were blown up on one section of the Moscow circular railroad. Another bomb was rendered harmless. Measures are being taken to identify sabotage groups active in Moscow and the Moscow Region.”
No investigation of any acts of terrorism was carried out. But then the picture was clear enough anyway: first the Chechens sent “sabotage groups” to Moscow and the Moscow Region; then they sent three experienced guerrilla leaders to help them; and finally a “group of foreigners” was brought in to help them from abroad with TNT and bombs (apparently they were carrying the bombs on their persons as they entered the country). The result of all these complicated preparations was a terrorist attack on one section of the Moscow circular railroad, which indicated that the groups of saboteurs already sent to Moscow and the Moscow Region had not yet been neutralized (one could assume that the terrorist attacks would continue).
Everything in the press office statement was absolutely untrue, except for the announcement that there had been an explosion on a section of the Moscow circular railroad on December 23.

The explosion of November 18 1994 took place on a railroad track crossing the river Yauza in Moscow. According to experts it was caused by two powerful charges of about 1.5 kilograms of TNT. About twenty meters of the railroad bed were ripped up and the bridge almost collapsed. It was quite clear, however, that the explosion had occurred prematurely, before the next train was due to cross the bridge. The shattered fragments of the bomber’s body were discovered at a distance of about a hundred meters from the site of the explosion. He was captain Andrei Shchelenkov, an employee of the oil company Lanako, and he had been blown up by his own bomb as he was planting it on the bridge.
It was only thanks to this blunder by the operative carrying out the bombing that the immediate organizers of the terrorist attack became known. The boss of Lanako, who had given his firm a name beginning with the first two letters of his own last name, was thirty-five year-old Maxim Lazovsky, a highly valued agent of the Moscow and Moscow Region Department of the FSB, who was known in criminal circles by the nicknames of “Max” and “Cripple” (“Khromoi”). At the risk of anticipating events, we can also point out the significant fact that every single one of Lanako’s employees was a full-time or freelance agent of the Russian counterespionage agencies.
On the day of the explosion on the river Yauza, November 18 1994, an anonymous phone call to the militia (the ordinary police force) claimed that a truck full of explosives was standing outside the Lanako offices. As a result the FSB department actually did discover a ZIL-131 truck close to the firm’s offices containing three MON-50 mines, 50 charges for grenade launchers, 14 RGD-5 grenades, 10 F-1 grenades and four packs of plastic explosive with a total weight of six kilograms. The FSB claimed, however, that it had been unable to determine who owned the truck, even though a Lanako identity card was found on Shchelenkov’s remains and the explosive used in the Yauza bombing was of the same kind as that on the truck.

A Jewish "Bolshevik" terrorist organization, financed and paid by the USA and the Great Britain, was sent to Russia to destroy the country and slaughter as many people as possible. Unfortunately, they succeeded beyond any imagination.
Through the "revolution", the civil war, and endless years of terror, Russia/Soviet Union lost over 50 millions people. The country was transformed into a barbaric, medieval state. It was not much different from the Cambodian Genocide under the Khmer Rouge regime.
