WB. Yeats is nice, but I think this is more fitting:

I’m too terrified to walk out of my own front door,
They’re demonstrating outside I think they’re gonna start the third world war,
I’ve been to my local head shrinker,
To help classify my disease,
He said it’s one of the cases of acute schizophrenia he sees.

Well the milkman’s a spy, and the grocer keeps on following me,
And the woman next door’s an undercover for the k.g.b.,
And the man from the social security
Keeps on invading my privacy,
Oh there ain’t no cure for acute schizophrenia disease.

I’ve got acute schizophrenia paranoia too,
Schizophrenia, schizophrenia,
I’ve got it, you’ve got it, we can’t lose,
Acute schizophrenia blues.

I’m lost on the river, the river of no return,
I can’t make decisions, I don’t know which way I’m gonna turn,
Even my old dad, lost some of the best friends he ever had,
Apparently, his was a case of acute schizophrenia too.

I got acute schizophrenia paranoia too,
Schizophrenia, schizophrenia,
I’ve got it, you’ve got it, we can’t lose,
Acute schizophrenia blues,

They’re watching my house and they’re tapping my telephone,
I can’t trust nobody, but I’m much too scared to be on my own
And the income tax collector’s got his beady eye on me,
Oh there ain’t no cure for acute schizophrenia disease.

No there ain’t no cure for
Schizophrenia disease.

The third of the four horsemen is holding a scale and is riding a black horse.

Black swan dive

The horse is the vehicle or a way to a means; in this case the leader of the free world is used as a controller of direction of the masses.

The scale is a symbol of commerce and trade. This represents our time and the scale has faulty weights.

This paper market will end, the very dynamics that is used by the money changers to control prices of all things will crash this system. A bushel of wheat for a penny? How can a bushel of wheat sell for a penny a bushel of wheat can make ten loves of bread! When the paper market crashes not only gold will go into hiding but everything of worth.

I recall reading some time ago that there are effectively no limits on Gold and Silver.  I cannot remember the precise wording, but in essence the limit, such as it is, is so wide that it might as well not be there.

Perhaps someone with more knowledge on this topic can chip in with more details.

There is, of course, the unofficial 2% upside limit in Gold which has survived unbroken for many years, but you won't find that in any CFTC rulebook.

Miners have for years in the quest for Cu, lead, Tin, sold their Slvr to them at around $4.00oz.

As it costs the miners NOTHING for the silver, as they make enough on the other metals to give them a CB of Zero on Slvr.

Why next Wednesday?  Why not today?  We are at a level where the industrials will start hedging and JPM will start playing psycho-tricks.  Plus, the last-minute budget pass is bound to be bearish for PMs?

Fri, 04/08/2011 - 11:12 | 1149938 spartan117
spartan117's picture

I'll try and provide an opnion as to why not.

It won't happen "now" because everyone is expecting it to happen.  We've been so conditioned for the gut check correction that every PM buyer (0.0005% of the total population) is ready to buy the fucking dip.  Then you have all those tho thought we were heading back down to $22 that are waiting with paper money in hand, ready to buy on any correction.

Fri, 04/08/2011 - 11:35 | 1150041 fiddler_on_the_roof
fiddler_on_the_roof's picture

Correct, that is the game theory that will play out. Everyone expects a correction. Even those who do not have an ounce of Gold expect a correction. That is why my most recent purchase was at last dip at $1394 and I have been buying since it was half that price.

Fri, 04/08/2011 - 11:21 | 1149997 tmosley
tmosley's picture

I said either Wednesday or today.

A close above $40 today is going to generate a lot of buying pressure early next week, I think.  There seems to be an unusual amount of energy behind this move.  I'm not sure if they can knock it down below $40 today, and if they can't, they won't be able to stop the tidal wave on Monday  In addition, the generally don't like to raid on Tuesdays, which makes me think the raid won't start in earnest until Wednesday.

Fri, 04/08/2011 - 11:33 | 1150042 slaughterer
slaughterer's picture

Sorry, you DID say either today or Wednesday.  I agree: Today is "do or die" for any large consortium short.  If they do not get silver to close below $40, then the next leg up to next level $50 will be taken over the weekend and Monday.    I think there is sizeable risk that, if the budget gets passed during trading hours today, there will be a take-down of PMs.

Fri, 04/08/2011 - 11:48 | 1150104 BigJim
BigJim's picture

The price is beginning to freak me out a little. My core holdings are physical (which will only be sold in an emergency or once we have a new monetary regime) but I use spreadbetting to dip in and out and try to make a little profit out of the volatility. I never short the price, but when it seems to have gone up a 'reasonable' amount, I sell, and wait till Blythe does her thing and I can buy cheaper. Rinse, repeat.

But there hasn't really been a 'proper' dip since the end of March. I'm wondering if something has fundamentally changed, that TPTB are going to allow PMs some real price discovery for a while.

Turd predicted the run up to $40, and was expecting some monkeyhammering then. We're at $40.49 and still no major offensive against it... makes me nervous.

Fri, 04/08/2011 - 11:54 | 1150134 tmosley
tmosley's picture

Eh?  The end of March was less than two weeks ago.

Look for the monkeyhammer today.  If it doesn't come, then take comfort in the fact that it probably won't come until next Wednesday.

Be wary of expecting it to just keep rising.  Every time I even start to entertain such thoughts, we get a raid.  As much as I joke about "BTFS" (buying the fucking spike), don't do that.  Only buy when it is down and/or on a regular schedule.  Don't let your emotions carry you.  Rather let your hard work and critical thinking do that.  They do a much better job.

Fri, 04/08/2011 - 12:50 | 1150391 BigJim
BigJim's picture

LOL, you're right, the end of March was only two weeks ago... seems much longer, what with everything going on. Still, I've come to expect monkeyhammerings after much smaller rises in price than our recent run. I guess I've pretty much swallowed the 'PM price-suppression is essential to maintain the ponzi' thesis, so I'm amazed they're not doing more to keep the price down. All 'us doomers' know the USD will eventually tank and PM prices will skyrocket, but I was hoping it wasn't for a while... it hammers home all the things I need to get sorted if I'm to have much of a chance of surviving (let alone riding out) the concomitant collapse.

Does this make sense to anyone?

Everyone is expecting a last minute compromise in Washington, or at the most maybe a few days of a "shutdown."  What if they actually draw things out, "shutdown" for about a month, and tank the markets?  Then they can point and say "see, the recovery (lol) is off track because of a lack of political stability, yadda yadda yadda."  Dollar could tank too, they can basically spin it any way they want.  But I think it's a very real risk...a prolonged shutdown would help them manipulate things even more, especially in the PMs and dollar.  Just a thought, obv it won't surprise me if they "compromise" and the market closes solidly green.

Soros (Rothschild fiat king minion) is coming for you gold and silver bugs! All crazy for PMs yet not one word on the biggest threat to them:

Two years ago, George Soros said he wanted to reorganize the entire global economic system. In two short weeks, he is going to start - and no one seems to have noticed. On April 8, a group he's funded with $50 million is holding a major economic conference and Soros's goal for such an event is to "establish new international rules" and "reform the currency system." It's all according to a plan laid out in a Nov. 4, 2009, Soros op-ed calling for "a grand bargain that rearranges the entire financial order." The event is bringing together "more than 200 academic, business and government policy thought leaders' to repeat the famed 1944 Bretton Woods gathering that helped create the World Bank and International Monetary Fund. Soros wants a new 'multilateral system," or an economic system where America isn't so dominant. More than two-thirds of the slated speakers have direct ties to Soros. The billionaire who thinks "the main enemy of the open society, I believe, is no longer the communist but the capitalist threat" is taking no chances. Thus far, this global gathering has generated less publicity than a spelling bee. And that's with at least four journalists on the speakers list, including a managing editor for the Financial Times and editors for both Reuters and The Times. Given Soros's warnings of what might happen without an agreement, this should be a big deal. But it's not. What is a big deal is that Soros is doing exactly what he wanted to do. His 2009 commentary pushed for "a new Bretton Woods conference, like the one that established the post-WWII international financial architecture." And he had already set the wheels in motion. ..... This is all easy to do when you have the reach of George Soros who funds more than 1,200 organizations. Except, any one of those 1,200 would shout such an event from the highest mountain. Groups like or the Center for American Progress didn't make their names being quiet. The same holds true globally, where Soros has given more than $7 billion to Open Society Foundations - including many media-savvy organizations just a phone call away. Why hasn't the Soros network spread the word? Especially since Soros warns, all this needs to happen because "the alternative is frightening." The Bush-hating billionaire says America is scary "because a declining superpower losing both political and economic dominance but still preserving military supremacy is a dangerous mix." The Soros empire is silent about this new Bretton Woods conference because it isn't just designed to change global economic rules. It also is designed to put America in its place - part of a multilateral world the way Soros wants it. He wrote that the U.S. "could lead a cooperative effort to involve both the developed and the developing world, thereby reestablishing American leadership in an acceptable form."

Anybody catch Glenn Beck yesterday squealing like a stuck pig about Soros? I think Beck represents the drug warrior redneck mafia mooching off humanity, trying to dress and act like civilized folks and failing miserably due to all that inbred inferiority complex which expresses itself as racism.

Someone in another thread last night was doing the Right vs Left, Dem vs Rep  mind trap thingy.   Then someone quoted Clinton.

- In the words of Bill Clinton a few days ago when asked about the Libyan intervention:

"We're trying to build a world in which people resolve their differences in non-violent ways."  -

To which I said;

"We're trying to build a world in which people resolve their differences in non-violent ways."

It's all one team kids. What fights you see are kabuki theater and the mere fighting between divisions within a corporation so to speak.

The discussions about Obama/Bush/Clinton/Bush are drawing distinctions where none really exist.

Bush I's job before VP?  Now top exec. for Carlyle. What do they do again?

Bush and Clinton working together (Haiti etc)?  Read some Carroll Quigley or Read about Cecil Rhodes, as in Rhodes Scholar/Rhodesia. (Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar and

Studied under Quigley)

The right/Left Dem/Rep rope-a-dope just wears you out.

Those arguments are so last century.

Oh, here's a quote from an news article how your current president was picked back on Sunday, June 8, 2008.

"Recently, there has been much discussion about Barack Obama having possibly attended the recent Bilderberg conference in Virginia. This speculation arose when Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton sneaked off for a secretive meeting while in Virginia..... "Reporters traveling with Obama sensed something might be happening between the pair when they arrived at Dulles International Airport after an event in Northern Virginia and Obama was not aboard the airplane. Asked at the time about the Illinois senator's whereabouts, [Obama spokesman Robert] Gibbs smiled and declined to comment....."7

One reported asked Gibbs, "Why were we not told about this meeting until we were on the plane, the doors were shut and the plane was about to taxi to take off?" to which he responded, "Senator Obama had a desire to do some meetings, others had a desire to meet with him tonight in a private way and that is what we are doing." This preceded another question, "Is there more than one meeting, is there more than one person with whom he is meeting?" Gibbs simply replied, "I am not going to get into all the details of the meeting." He again later repeated that, "There was a desire to do some meetings tonight, he was interested in doing them, others were interested in doing them, and to do them in a way that was private."8

So Obama had his meeting 'In a Smokey room...Roll the film...."

The system is in slow motion crash mode. This will accelerate and wipe about 98% of the money out worldwide. Anyone who thinks it can be "controlled" or "handled" is wrong. We'll have to rebuild from the economic ashes, but it can be done and America will be stronger than ever. The ones who rode the car over the cliff will face justice, in this world or the next.

There will be no Bretton Woods replacement anytime soon.  Such things are done from a position of power.  Note the coincidence of the date of establishment.  July 1944, 3 weeks after the US lands millions of men in France with the intention of occupying/liberating Europe.  Who's to negotiate anything?  The UK, occupied by millions of US forces, France, currently being invaded, Germany and Japan, about to be crushed.  And you can leave out the commies, what do they know about money.

Who is presently in a position of power to change things?  Chinamart, Russia, Occupied Germany, Radioactive Japan, angry Arabs.....

A reform of the world order will appear to be a transfer of power from the developed to the developing nations, overseen by the international authorities. This will be easy to sell to local elites in the developing nations. The reality of the reform will be a transfer of power from all nations to the international authorities, which are of instruments of the Anglo-American establishment. Thus the reform will be easy to sell to the elites of the developed world, though of course it won't really have to be sold at all, as it is those elites that will be proposing the reforms.

As for the various people who doubt that the system is organized from the top, i.e. that there is a conscious conspiracy or plan, what can I say? Learn about the history of the foundations and other 'non-governmental organizations' created by international financiers over the last century. One could plausibly argue that the system, though controlled by an elite, is not controlled per a conscious plan - except for the documented fact that the aforementioned organizations do just that sort of planning, at the behest and with the funding of the elite which control the system. 2+2 does it fact equal 4. To believe in this 'conspiracy theory' is strange to you only because you have been conditioned your whole life to looking at reality in a certain way, the way that reality has been presented to you in the media, and in that reality 'conspiracy theories' are strange and wrong by default. Really think about it rationally first, regardless of evidence. If you were a multi-billionaire, with close business and blood relations with a few dozen other multi-billionaires, and habitually made campaign contributions in order to influence government policies for your own benefit, why on earth wouldn't you organize regular meetings with your fellow billionaires in order to coordinate your activities? Why wouldn't you, for example, create a tax-exempt thinktank to determine best practices for accomplishing your goal? You would, because doing so is perfectly rational. It would be shocking if highly educated, cunning businessmen didn't think of this.

i personally believe that conspiracy theories do exist among self-appointed "elites" BUT they are inevitably undone by human fallibility...The "powerful" are timelessly clueless...

I met a traveler from an antique land
Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal these words appear:
“My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!”
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

Here, here bi Job.
Alas another for you Fobs.

Benjamin Banneker (1731-1806)

A cooper and vintner sat down for a talk,
    Both being so groggy that neither could walk;
Says cooper to vintner, "I'm the first of my trade,
There's no kind of vessel but what I have made,
And of any shape, sir, just what you will,
And of any size, sir, from a tun to a gill."
"Then," says the vintner, "you're the man for me.
Make me a vessel, if we can agree.
The top and the bottom diameter define,
To bear that proportion as fifteen to nine,
Thirty-five inches are just what I crave,
    No more and no less in the depth, will I have;
Just thirty-nine gallons this vessel must hold,
Then I will reward you with silver or gold,—
Give me your promise, my honest old friend."
"I'll make it tomorrow, that you may depend!"
So the next day, the cooper, his work to discharge,
    Soon made the new vessel, but made it too large;
He took out some staves, which made it too small,
And then cursed the vessel, the vintner and all.
He beat on his breast, "By the powers" he swore
He never would work at his trade any more.
Now, my worthy friend, find out if you can,
The vessel's dimensions and comfort the man!

   When You Are Old

WHEN you are old and gray and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
    Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
    And loved the sorrows of your changing face;

And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face among a crowd of stars.

A tad OT but infomercial,

Atlas Shrugged part ONE is coming to  Theaters nationwide, I think mid April, or May.

Heard it was true to the Book.

A must see.

I was hoping he meant:

And no more turn aside and brood

Upon love's bitter mystery.

For Fergus rules the brazen cars

And rules the shadows of the wood

And the white breast of the dim sea

And all disheveled wandering stars.

I think oil will start to go down soon, with money moving into PM. That means, peak for correction in silver and Gold will coincide with next LOW in oil. Which is early MAY, 2011.

So , one more month for silver rally.

Here are oil price prediction for 2011-2012 from february 6th, has predicted 2 peaks correctly already:

See the dip in MAY? And here is corresponding ( independently derived) peak in Silver ( it has to be in early MAY 2011, the March 13th graph shows maximum little too early. The value at peak can be close to 45 USD, may be 48 USD):

Then, FED will bailout JPM shorts, and silver will drop by 40% afterwards, as it happened in 2008 when FED bailed out Bear Sterns via JPM.

Let us see. So far they have accurately predicted last 2 oil peaks both in time and relative magnitude ( I made the 2011-2012 oil chart on feb 6th). Global pulse type shock to the system (2008, sept 15th) consequences expressed long term  in widely traded asset prices are easier to predict than any given event cosequences or price shift causes.

See ya at $300 one of these mornings soon. Well even at $150 which may be in days time, the wheels fall completely off so whats the point in debate?

I can empathise . I was patiently waiting for silver to pull back to about $25 during that January correction , at which time I would have given the bullion dealers a ring . Bottomed around $26.50 though and hasn't looked back since . Feel a slight sting every time I look at my charts and see yet another high .

Maybe there's a new set of buyers - the clued in bunch in the late nighties / early naughties , the post summer 2008 crowd and now the masses are beginning to twitch.

I am trying to understand the scale of term accounts now - when they mature people may decide they have had enough.

Complete hyperbolic blow off may not be far away given the tiny size of the silver market.
