JPMorgan’s Dimon Called Darling to Reject Bonus Tax

How disgusting is that!

Someone in another country can have a personal conversation about a law in that other country..

Yeah .... I don't like a lot of the laws in the UK but would I as a UK citizen get to speak to someone like that about it to complain

I think Gerald Celente had it right when he said that if these guys had Italian last names, they'd all be in jail. Jamie the darling boy is getting some exposure lately, the bust out of WAMU where he bought the bank for 1.5 CENTS on the dollar, the call to the UK. The guy is sleaze.

The UK should throw him out of the country. He functions like a terrorist.

JohnKing - you are absolutely correct about Dimon being a SLEAZE. He's an arrogant bastard to think he can blackmail the government of a European country. What he did to WaMu employees, creditors and shareholders in his corrupt, illegal deal with the FDIC shows how evil this guy is. I hope the legal teams in the massive lawsuits destroy him.

Regarding the Fed's efforts to drain liquidity, I saw it more as a way to place a spread trade between the short end which is close to zero and the long end of the curve which needs to be brought down to protect the housing market.  Since nobody wants to buy the long end of the curve, the Fed's going to need to assume that risk itself.  The problem is that the Fed's in a bind - if they use QE2, the dollar will be crushed.  Meanwhile, pulling some money from money markets will push the short end up a little but allow them to manage the curve.  I think this becomes especially important as they offer a ton more Treasuries in the market next year.

This is just getting silly! So now it's Yemen is it? And under US intelligence(bwaaahaaha) they bombed an Al Queda strong hold, but same intelligence had noooo idea that the flight to Detroit was a bomb target from the very same organization they knew well enough to know where to bomb. Yeh whatever. Also, the Al Queda cell claims responsibility for an operation that went wrong? Wtf? Who ever claims responsibility for something that goes wrong, especially when noone knew before you say that it was you? Just how stupid does bloomberg think people are

Yemen, hmmm. If the Persian Gulf is going to be closed, better secure the Southern flank and the access to the Red Sea where Saudi Arabia can still pipe oil thru the East-West pipeline.

Very interesting, never considered that.  Thank you for promoting a little dendrite growth in this lad, sir/madam!

Likewise. I even had a hint the other day on some other thread somewhere else but it was about US 'involvement' in Eritrea. The person said it was obvious - just look at a map but I was still like, huh?

Now it all makes sense!!!

Have any BBT yielding savants noticed unusual trading activity in Fannie & Freddie before the announcement of the cap increase?

Hard to imagine a check that large being written without someone trying to cash in.

"Prepare for a Yemen invasion: The Peace Prize winner is setting the stage for the next war"

I read the bloomberg story and didn't see anything in it where a case could be made that one should prepare for an invasion, or that a stage is being set.

How about giving a link to a story without resorting to msm methods which sensationalize everything, with the truth being slanted toward your own political agenda.  You are rapidly becoming that which you claim to abhor.

Who needs things spelled out for whom?  I was referring to the bloomberg article referenced above on this blog, and the sensationalist lines put in with it.  That's it.  Nothing in that bloomberg article really suggests that something is imminent or  in the works as the sensationalization would suggest.  So, again, who needs things spelled out for whom?

Yep, LouBag is a certified troll. If it's not already apparent to most comment readers, one glance at LouBag's avatar is an invitation to skip the thread and move down to the next. Fucking troll.

If he serves any good purpose it's that PM gives a little more info in retort to the ignorant nonsense spewing from this bullshitter. Wait, one more time: fucking troll.

Curbing executive pay the government is not, but I don't think I would call this failure; that implies a deviation from intent.

A quote from the now missing Mogombo is appropriate:

"Now stop. Sit back. Relax. Ignore the pounding of your heart, and listen with your inner mind. What is that sound you hear in the distance? Hooves! Hooves of the horses ridden by the bloodthirsty Horsemen of the Apocalypse, beating on the cobblestones of the Road to Hell, throwing off sparks, and they are coming to destroy you! Hahaha! How's the pounding of your heart now? Hahaha!

"Cohen and others say the law wouldn’t have saved Bear Stearns or Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., both of which were pure investment banks, from collapse. And the government would not have been able to enlist JPMorgan Chase & Co. to take on the assets of Bear Stearns or allow Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Morgan Stanley to become bank holding companies, giving them access to the Federal Reserve’s discount window. ".
Mr Cohen is clouding the issue here(being involved in bankruptcies, and hoping to be involved in some more). The idea of Glass-Stegal is not preventing bankruptcies, rathere seperating customer's deposit from gambling(er,investing)money. Does he realy don't know what is intended here?

Wasnt this UBL's agenda..to drag the US into these prolonged wars..to spread us out and hit us in the pocketbooks?Ive never read a quote from him that said he hated our freedoms blah blah blah..but he wanted us out of the middle east..and to do that he would attack us financially and split the country apart from the inside...seems we are playing his game and we are on the defensive..The MSM is rolling out the fear and security show again in a run up to war...and the sheeple will give up any amount of liberty nessacery for "security"
