NY City. Crime Scene. Bloody. Gruesome. Two Hamsters Dead. One found in the apartment, the other known as "Sweetie" outside. A necropsy was performed. Blunt force trauma! Detectives work the case since June. Finally, yesterday a break in the case. 19 year old girl arrested. Accused hamster killer behind bars. Mayor praises police.

The American dream transformed over the past few years. It became a dream of bigger, better, newer. How do you buy stuff without any money? It was leverage. It was this American financial fantasyland. We were all trying to keep up with the Joneses. We were all trying to do things that we never should have done. And that American dream turned into the greatest financial nightmare of all time. You can't get a loan. You can't get a job. You can't get credit. So the old American dream really is dead.

As Suze Orman fully joins the dissidents.  I would like to extend a hearty welcome from everyone Suze.  Good to have you aboard!

If the Fed wasn't monetizing the hell outta the market it would be grossly apparent that the situation Suze describe applies to our local, state & national public finances as well. (THE beautifully unstated stated)

I don't think the american dream transformed so much as it became less and less reasonable to believe in and we desperately tried to ignore all indications to the contrary.  We have all these respects for our elders, some deserved, but those idiots fell prey to the same stupid shit we do... on multiple occasions...

Always nice to be told we can get something for nothing.  Always a suckers play.  In this PT Barnum is still right as ever

If a corporation is going to make a political contribution, then they should take responsibility for it. Don't the Board of Directors have more important things to do? Lady Gaga tells Target to fuck off over anti-gay contributions and refusal to stop.

Responsible corporate governance is as oxymoronic as responsible union governance, responsible public governance, responsible judicial activity, responsible regulatory oversight ... and at the root of it all, as Suze so ably points out, responsible personal conduct.  How totally nauseating.

While I'm always glad to see a corporate donation backfire, I'm pretty sure it wasn't Emmer's (wide?) stance on gay marriage that made Target write the check.

Mayor Bloomberg wants to license mouse traps. Says people can buy really powerful ones in Texas and bring them in to New York City. Vows to do sting operations.

I think the frontrun catch on Soveriegn Citizens is the wildest thing posted. Will we see a youtube reality show?

This is a trend with legs: legs you run with to the next unoccupied house. I'm wondering, how do they furnish these places.

Hmmm...Habitat for Humanity has these "restore" stores where you can pick up a mid century modern dresser that has a lot of style cachet for about $20.00.

You could literally furnish your whole house for about $500. from a Restore. So if you have to leave in a hurry, no biggie.

Oh puhleeze. That group is probably funded by the Banks so they can say squaters are part of a terrorist group and have the FBI take them out. Don't pay your mortgage? Now you're a terrorist.

Maybe, you may be right. Take a look at the video I posted (I know that's annoying, but this guy is spelling out a movement that is powerful if it takes off) and see if he is a banking shill. Oh, shillhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shill

Is it a coincidence that those two over at NPR were named Schillman?

I think not.

"The FBI has listed Sovereign Citizens as a domestic terrorist organization. The Southern Poverty Law Center, which also tracks the group,  estimates the sect numbers more than 300,000 nationwide."

Everyone is now a terrorist except the banks... which are the real terrorists.

...and, why is the Southern Poverty Law Center helping the FBI and cops evict people? I thought the SPLC was an organization to stop the lynching blacks, burning Jewish Temples, etc?

Yeah, really, when I read SPLC helping the FBI, it was a things that make you go "hunh?"

Perhaps the SPLC is now feeding at the gov trough? I suppose they have files on everyone that has ever attended a school board meeting or a PTA conference...Not to mention those raising legitimate complaints about local/state govs.

Hold up a placard of protest and be labled a terrorist... what a system.

I prefer this group. They even offer a passport that has been stamped by 180 countries.  "World Passport"

I think its a good way to protest the United States Business/Government without having to move or shoot anyone...

Skin and clean hamsters and cut into quarters. Brown cut up hamster pieces (par boil if you wish but it detracts from the flavor), set aside, make a roux (cajun style... file to taste) add browned hampster (or squirrel) to roux. Serve over freshly baked bisquits (made from scratch, not the crap from Pill Buried)... Enjoy.

Tip: Some like to stir in a few beaten eggs into the roux/rodent just prior to serving...and stir well.

Very popular dish in S Louisiana...Even more popular during the great depression.

Most any rodent will do. Stay away from fatty ones like possum... or, boil them thoroughly and get rid of the grease prior to browning/broiling etc.

Flavor of Squirrel is excellent... much better than venison which is so dry that it needs beef suet (fat) to help edibility/flavor.

Favorite wild meats... quail, duck, phesant, goose, moose, squirrel... in about that order. No venison, bear, or any wild cats (big cats)... I have heard rumors that the Chinese serve domestic/feral cats sometimes... don't know if this is true or not...probably urban legend started by competeing restaurants.

I think the guy in the video is a FAKE constitutionalist. The constitution is NOT about squatting in a house you didn't pay for. He is there for the purpose of demonizing the real constitionalists and making the banks look like the law abiders.
