I'm gonna be soooo disappointed if the S&P doesn't even kiss 1150 today.

But...But...

March 11 (Bloomberg) -- The number of Americans filing first-time claims for jobless benefits fell for a second week to a level that indicates companies are nearing the end of payroll reductions as the economy recovers.

Anyone else thinking all this "bullish" M&A activity is going to lead to the next round of mass layoffs?

i've followed the author of that b'berg report, courtney schlisermann (sp) for some time as i have consistently noticed for the past several months that the most bullishly biased b'berg stories are ones that she has penned.  it's absolutely hysterical to read her articles.

from the same article:  ....while those getting extended benefits fell.

People falling off of extended because they have run out of tiers.....that.is.a.fact.   wow, it's gotten to the point that i find cnbc dot com (not the tv, the website is more balanced) more balanced than b'berg.

More bad news for people who want a job... more super news for computers and short gunners.

I don't know why the market is concerned about these jobs numbers any longer, after all wall street couldn't care less.

All they use the numbers for is to con people who trade on fundamentals into being wrong footed.... yet again.

Like gunning shorts on junk stock just because they can, not because of any fundamental reason that the stock should be worthless

Will zero hedge be critiquing (and offering suggestions) to Ted Kaufman's and others legislative language implimenting the Volcker rule? From what I ahve read, it is a bit weak as regards "market makers" such as GS.

Bloomberg SUCKS !

Infobabes and infomercials.

"Bloomberg viewers are intelligent ....."

I say:
Intelligent people feel insulted being told that as mantra in order to accept the spoon feeding of pre-digested news & their party line interpretations.

I repeat :

BLOOMBERG SUCKS.

If new unemployment claims are coming in still that high a double dip late this year is assured. That number has to get down to 420K just to show things have stopped getting worse unemployment wise.

How long has this phrase been used: "showing signs of stabilizing". That dog just won't hunt anymore.

Network Rail workers vote for strike

The market can be controlled by TPTB for a time, and that time is nearly up.

In my 50+ years on this earth, the only thing that I find more hilarious than Peter Sellers' comedy, is the human delusion that it can control markets, nature, and its own behavior.
