With company after company beating the consensus on earnings, are the analysts all incompetent idiots, or are they intentionally low-balling the numbers for the "better hthan" ramp jobs?
Yes.
Not mentioned above, but very pertinent: So O-Team, what are you going to do about an escalating oil price?
Lloyd wants transparency? Maybe it's time they put him behind transparent jail bars. Scum bags.
Of course he does. For his competitors. GS will jst request and receive the usual letter of exemption.
i know you guys are totally paranoid when it comes to GS but ironic or not, blankfein is saying the right things about monitoring systemic risk. smarter than what i've read in this website (no offence) or elsewhere.
cheers
This documentary is worth a look
Fairly long at over an hour in run time, but worthwhile viewing imo
'The film offers an in depth look at business influence on politics--analyzing social forces and events that the corporate media and mainstream scholarship has largely distorted or kept hidden. It also analyzes the meaning of democracy.'

i have heard from a GS insider that their Q3 results are not as good as Q2. Traders are not taking any big positions as they expect the market to crash.

I am Chumbawamba.
good luck on that CW investigation, Congressmen. the VIP program, it's not just for 'adult entertainment' entities ! No points for a rate buy-down for all.
Mozilo must be hiding somewhere warm, and perhaps, offshore these days. Probably good...he was always too pale.
What is his anti Grecian Formula?
No real surprises here, except possibly seeing Meredith Whitney pulling out of Goldman.
I would have thought that one would be the other way around...
