The housing bubble article was very insightful. Apparently housing bubbles persist for reasons which are unclear. Well, that helped me.

Isn't that because it is just before earnings season so they lower the "expectation's " so they can easily beat.. then raise them so they can pump the price till the next earnings and lower them just before again... that way they can always "beat"!
